The presentation tonight is called
The biblical uncovering of the Pope
and the papacy. This is not speculation or mere
possibility. What we will do in this presentation
is to give the exact words of the Lord from the pages of Scripture. And we will give exact documentation
from the Roman Catholic official teaching showing that the Pope
and the papacy fulfill graphically and in detail the words of Scripture. It is like a silk glove on a
person's hand. You will see that it fits exactly
So what we are saying is not speculation, it is documented
fact. The uncovering of the Pope and
the papacy. The first official decree of
the Roman Church, I wish to read from her own teaching in the
official teaching of the Catholic Church called the Catechism of
the Catholic Church. It is paragraph 882, quotation,
The Pope, Bishop of Rome and Peter's successor, is the perpetual
and visible source and foundation of the unity both of the bishops
and of the whole company of the faithful. For the Roman Pontiff,
by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ and as Pastor of the
entire Church, has full, supreme and universal power over the
whole Church. A power which he can always use
unhindered. Supreme, universal power over
the whole church. A power which he can always exercise. Now, this claim to be Vicar of
Christ is most serious. Why? Because Christ Jesus spoke
explicitly of who it was who was to be the seeker. And it
was not any earthly man. Christ Jesus, taking leave of
his disciples and of the church that he had founded, said the
following quotation, I will pray the Father and he will give you
another helper. that he may abide with you forever,
even the spirit of throats." The Gospel of John, chapter 14,
verse 16. And he said to his disciples
also, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not
go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I depart,
I will send him to you. John, chapter 16, verse 7. The helper, the one who was to
take the place of Christ, the advocate, is the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who has supreme,
full, universal power in the care of souls. And this is of utter importance
that we see what Christ Jesus said because it is in direct
link between the person of the Holy Spirit and the redemption
of Christ. The Holy Spirit's office in leading
a person to Christ is his universal power across the world. It is
full and supreme. He convicts of sin, righteousness
and judgment. He it is who is the Spirit of
truth, who leads the believer into all truth. He is the one,
as you look to the Father for his grace, that gives regeneration
as we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The work of the divine
Holy Spirit is not the work of any earthly man. It is his and
his alone. So the papacy claims that it
has a vicar of Christ who sits in Rome. And we have to see that
the apostle spoke about this The Apostle warned that one would
come and sit among God's people and who would call themselves
the things of God. I would like to read, if you
have your Bible you may want to turn to it, 2 Thessalonians
chapter 2 and verse 3. Let no man deceive you by any
means. For that day shall not come except
there come a falling away first. And that man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition, the son of man. would appear
as the outworking of the falling away, or the apostasia is the
actual Greek word. A word in English apostasy is
close to the Greek word apostasia, the falling away. The apostasy
took place from the professing through church. It was a falling
away from the truth. And then the Son of Man, I beg
your pardon, the exact opposite, the Man of Sin, the horrendous
Man of Sin was to appear, as the Apostle said, for the mystery
of iniquity does already work. In the Apostle's own day, this
Man of Sin was already working. He was spoken of as the mystery
of iniquity. It is interesting that the Apostle
Paul spoke of the mystery of iniquity. Why? Because it was
the exact opposite of what he had said to Timothy when he talked
about the mystery of godliness, when he talked about Jesus Christ.
The mystery of iniquity. is the exact opposite to the
person of Jesus Christ. The mystery of iniquity was already
at work in the apostles' times, but it was being restrained. And we're told the place of the
mystery of iniquity, and this is of utmost importance, verse
4, who opposeth and exalted himself above all that is called God,
or that is worshipped, so that he, as God, sitteth in the temple
of God, showing himself that he is God. One who sits among God's people,
showing that he is God. Now, the Greek language from
which our English text is translated is utterly precise. The Greek word for temple is
naos. It is the Greek word signifying
the people of God. It is not the Greek word hieron,
which means the physical temple in Jerusalem. This is not the
physical temple. This is a man sitting, as it
were, among God's people saying that he is God. The text is explicitly clear. And so we have to say that there
is one to this day who sits claiming to be Christian among God's people,
saying that he is God. Who is he? His present name is
Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI. He it was who wrote and compiled
the Catechism of the Catholic Church that we read, paragraph
882, where he said that the Roman Pontiff is the Vicar of Christ. He claimed to be God as Vicar
of Christ. Only the Holy Spirit is God and
Vicar of Christ. He sits in the temple of God
among God's people saying that he is the Vicar of Christ. He is the one also that constantly
insists that he is the Holy Father. What is so serious about that?
That is the exact scripture word that Jesus Christ used when praying
to his Father in heaven. For example, in John's Gospel
chapter 17, Jesus prayed, Holy Father, He prayed to his Father
in heaven. There is only one Holy Father
and he is in heaven. The Roman Pontiff consistently
uses this term, that he is the Holy Father. He sits in the temple of God, calling himself God, the Holy
Father. And he insists that when people
go to visit him and talk to him, he is addressed as his holiness. There's only one who is holiness
by nature. There is one, and that is the
all-holy God. There is none holy as the Lord.
There is none like unto thee. The scripture says. And so he
insists that he be called His Holiness. And not only does he
insist on being called these things, he insists and makes
a decree that his teaching is infallible teaching. Infallibility
is a divine attribute. This is in another official Vatican
book called the Code of Canon Law. I'm reading the exact official
words of the Catholic Church. Canon 749 quotation. The supreme pontiff, in virtue
of his office, possesses infallible teaching authority when, as supreme
pastor and teacher of all the faithful, he proclaims with a
definitive act that the doctrine of faith and morals is to be
held as such. The same pontiff claims to have
the divine attribute of infallibility. In the secular world, people
often say about a man who is an adulterer or a lady who is
an adulteress, how many extramarital affairs does it take before this
person is called an adulterer or an adulteress? How many extramarital
affairs does it take? In a similar way, how many times
does the Pope have to say he is the Vicar of Christ, he is
supreme authority universally over the care of souls that he
can always exercise, he is the Holy Father and he is to be addressed
as His Holiness. How many times has he got to
tell you that he has infallible teaching authority before you
say Before our eyes is the man of sin, the Antichrist, because
he fulfills to the letter what it says in 2 Thessalonians 2,
verse 4, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called
God or that is worshipped, so that he as God, seated in the
temple of God, showing himself that he is God. explicitly clear. Christ Jesus said that all power
on heaven and earth has been given to him and we know that
he handed over and that the Holy Spirit also has all power in
heaven and earth as he acts as Vicar of Christ. But this man
who claims to be the Vicar of Christ says, as we already read,
that he is supreme, full, immediate, universal power in the care of
souls. that all over the world at any
moment of time he has care for all souls. That is a claim to
only a power that only the divine person of the Holy Spirit has.
So it is extravagantly clear that the papacy is the Antichrist,
the man of sin. Now that word Antichrist in Greek
is most interesting when you get a Greek lectionary and study
the word Antichrist. Antichrist means not simply substituting
for Christ, but it means substituting in order to take the place of. And that is explicitly what we
have seen in reading these official decrees. He pretends to be the
Vicar of Christ so that he can substitute and have universal
and supreme power. That is the exact definition
of what the Antichrist is. Under the pretense of serving
Christ, He takes on to himself the very offices of Christ and
the very offices of the Holy Spirit. Now it's not simply that he demands
that you accept that he has infallible teaching authority, but he goes
even further. He demands submission of intellect
and will. Now all the cults from the way
international to the Mormons to the Jehovah Witnesses, they
all demand submission of intellect and will. People say in a popular
way, you know, when you join a cult, you check out your mind
and your will at the door. I mean, that's a common parlance. But the cults don't tell you
directly that you have to submit your intellect and will, but
the Catholic Church does. I'd like you to hear the exact
words. Code of Canon Law, Official Teaching,
paragraph 752, quotation. A religious respect of intellect
and will, even if not the assent of faith, is to be paid to the
teaching which the Supreme Pontiff or the College of Bishops enunciate
on faith and morals. So you are to check out your
mind and will to the pontiff and to the college of bishops.
It is demanded of you. It's not only demanded, they
have other canons which tell you that if you don't, you can
be punished with just penalties. For example, in Canon 1371, just
penalties are to be imposed upon one who does not accept the teachings
of the Roman Pontiff. The text from 2 Thessalonians
2, it is frighteningly real. You may ask the who and the what
that restrain this power. In your Bible you will see that
the apostle is very clear. He explains you know what restrains
him, who it is. And you know what it is. This
is in verse 6 and 7. He explains the restraining power
that was holding back the revelation of the man of sin as a who and
a what in verses 6 and 7. How did the Thessalonians know
this? Because they were quite evident,
it is quite evident if you read 2nd Acts of the Apostles, you
will see that in chapter 17, that when Paul went to the Thessalonica,
to the Thessalonians, there was an uproar. And in verse 7, they
were accused of speaking against the decrees of Caesar. Caesar
was the one and the mind of those in Thessalonica. And so they
understood what was withholding. It was the Caesar and his empire. And that's why in verses 6 and
7 it's a who and it's a what. It's both a person, the emperor,
and the empire that he ruled. And it's quite interesting In
the year 330, when the Emperor moved to Constantinople, it was
then that the man of sin began to show his colors. And as the
years went by, it was on the 8th century that officially for
the first time that they declared that the Pope was the Vicar of
Christ. But they began to show their
colors. of the man of sin, just as Paul had said in the second
letter to the Thessalonians that the man of sin would be revealed.
The who and the what. The details are explicit And
the early believers, even like Jerome, Tertullian and others,
were emphatic. So were the Valdois. The Valdois
saw who the man of sin was. And the great Christian writers,
right through history, and as we will see later on, right up
to Dr. Martin Lloyd-Jones, have seen
who the man of sin is. It is really sad that the people
boast that they know who Christ is and they say, well, they do
not know who the Antichrist is. Well, you're not like believers
of old. They all knew who the Christ
was and who the Antichrist was. And the pages of Scripture tell
you explicitly. It becomes even more clear as
we turn to Revelation chapter 17. The Apostle John beheld the ten-horned
beast carrying the woman dressed in scarlet and purple, decked
with gold, precious stones, pearls, a harlot and the mother of harlots
and abominations, the paramour of kings, merciless, cruel, intoxicated
with the blood of the saints and the martyrs of Jesus. And
the symbols are brilliantly portrayed in Revelation 17. Verse 9, the
seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sitted. The
Holy Spirit clarifies by proclaiming, the woman which thou sawest is
that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Verse 18. Indisputably, the city is Rome. The name on the harlot's brow
is mystery. Now there was no mystery about
pagan Rome. What pagan Rome did under the
different emperors to persecute believers, there was no mystery.
It was horrendous and totally evil. It wasn't mysterious. They were not pretending to be
something else. They were who they were and they
persecuted the saints of God. There's no mystery about pagan
Rome. But this woman, there is mystery
about her because she pretends to be Christian. It is quite
interesting that she is called Babylon. Babylon in the book
of Revelation is a woman and the woman is a harlot and she's
also a city. She's contrasted to Jerusalem,
the city of Jerusalem, the new Jerusalem, which is a city and
it is also a woman. And the woman is the bride of
Christ, the pure bride of Christ. Babylon is the harlot the immoral lover of the kings
of the earth. So the contrast is stark in the
book of Revelation. And where does the woman sit?
She sits upon the scarlet-coloured beast. The woman rides the beast. The Roman Catholic system is
the only religious system that is also equally at the same time
a civil system. She has civil authority and power. And so the woman, the religious
system, sits on the beast, the civil system. She in actual fact has concordance
with many nations of the world and she has ambassadors going
to 174 nations of the world including the United States of America
since 1984 when Ronald Reagan reinstituted civil relationships
between the Vatican and the United States of America. So she is
literally the woman that rides the beast. Did the woman always
ride the beast? We find that it was fairly early
on in her history, in the 8th century, that she got territory
and the Pope became a civil ruler from the 8th century onwards.
At the time of Napoleon Bonaparte, one of his generals, entered
Rome, and the Vatican in particular, and took the Pope off the throne,
and took away from him his civil power. The system was wounded, as the
Scripture had already proclaimed would be, but it was healed in
the year 1929. The Catholic Mussolini made a treaty, a concordat, with
the Pope at the time Pope Pius XI and conceded to him the Seven
Hills. At the hand of Mussolini there
sprung up again a civil power so that the woman again was riding
the beast. She is the smallest civil state
in the world, comprising what would be a large 18-hole golf
course, 108 acres. But she is, in the words of the
famous Roman Catholic historian Lord Acton, the fiend skulking
behind the crucifix. because she uses civil power
behind her religious power. Concordats are interesting. When I was in Slovakia in the
year 2000, the believers were really fearful because it was
that year that the official Concordat was made between Slovakia and
the Vatican. are concorded as a legal agreement
between a nation as a civil power and the Roman Catholic Church
as a civil power, giving certain privileges to the Vatican. These privileges are the right
of freedom of religious worship, the right to decree who truly
are Christians, the right to define doctrine, the right to
establish religious property, the right to negotiate property,
the right to appoint bishops, the right to have accepted in
civil law Catholic annulments, and the right in civil law that
different nations would recognize the Vatican's economic policies. Now when you study the nations
of the world like Argentina, When you study like Venezuela
and other nations where Concordats have been in position for many
years and see how evangelical, true Bible-believing churches
have been persecuted and how the Roman Church has controlled
nations, you will see how serious it is for the woman to ride the
beast. Because she has power, civil
power in nations. and they boast that it is now
about 28 nations a year that sign on. Some even from Islamic
nations will sign on to concord us with the Vatican. The present
Pope Ratzinger, soon after he became Pope, had an audience
with diplomats He was trying to persuade the diplomats that
Saudi Arabia and Vietnam would have concordance with the Vatican. Some of the nations that do not
yet have concordance with the Vatican. So if you want a literal
fulfillment, look at the Vatican. If you go to zenith.org the Catholic
news source, you will see that they give lists and lists of
the nations where Catholics have civil agreements with civil nations. This is the woman riding the
beast and it is explicitly clear. The place or resident of the
papal church is not in doubt You read in verse 9, the seven
heads or the seven mountains on which the woman sits. The
seven heads or the seven mountains. The Vatican tells you exactly
what her territory is and where she sits. I'd like to read from
you from the Catholic Encyclopedia, quotations. It is within the
city of Rome, called the City of the Seven Hills, that the
entire area of the Vatican State is now confined." End of quotation. They tell you that the Seven
Hills is the place where they sit. Actually, the Pope's main
cathedral is not St. Peter's, it's the Lateran Cathedral. That is his main place where
he is bishop, or pretends to be bishop. Her color, scarlet
and purple, are evident. I remember explicitly when I
was a Catholic priest, I was just a few months ordained and
I was sent to Rome to study at the Angelicum University of St.
Thomas Aquinas. And one day I had the opportunity to go to the
Vatican and to look down on the square where the prelates were
coming out from Vatican Council too, 3,000 of them. They were
the Archbishops, the Metropolitan Bishops, the Patriarchs, the
cardinals and the different bishops, 3,000 of them, and the colors
were scarlet and purple. I was frightened as a Catholic
priest. I was wondering, am I seeing
the fulfillment of what John saw in Revelation 17? As a priest,
I was wondering, and I put these thoughts to my mind, this could
not be. This could not be Holy Mother Church. This could not
be. But it came to my mind. I said,
this is not Hollywood. This is real and is before my
eyes. It's all scarlet and purple. It was 21 years after that when
I left the Church of Rome that I finally really did see that
it still fits precisely as the Apostle John wrote it. Now it
is that the cardinals wear scarlet and the metropolitan bishops
and archbishops wear purple. and all the cardinals and all
the archbishops and ordinary bishops all have pectoral crosses
hanging down, whether it's scarlet or purple, there's a pectoral
cross. What is in the pectoral cross?
Gems, pearls, gems. Just as John saw, that is the
way it is. They have relics and bones of
the saints also in those pectoral crosses. They also have each one of them,
at the Roman Catholic Mass, the golden cup in their hand. It's
by decree of the official Catholic Church teaching that the chalice
must always be a golden cup, or at least golden plated. So
they all have in their hand the golden cup. and full of abominations
of fornication and filthiness. Now I do not want to go into
detail here because it's too graphic and I do not want to
get into this horrendous thing. But I must say something about
the fornication and the filthiness. It was here in the United States
that it was first of all exposed in the 1990s and it was from
a Catholic city The Boston Globe. The Boston Globe was the first
newspaper in the world in the 90s to start to show the inner
life of priests and the filthiness and fornications, not just adultery
and fornication, but explicitly pedophilia, the abuse of young
men and young girls. It was really horrendous. The
Dallas Morning News took it up and then newspapers across the
world, in my own Ireland, in Poland, in Australia, right across
the world, the filthiness and the abominations have been exposed. I don't like to say these things,
but it is interesting that the Roman Catholic Church webpages,
it's mostly Catholic sites to this day, will continue to show
you the filthiness. and the pictures of those who've
been abused, and the pictures on the internet of those men
who have abused them. And sometimes it's really sad
to show you the abuse that has gone on in nuns' convents. I
know it's so horrendous that I will not look at some of it
that happened in my own Ireland. I just do not want to see it. But these are the filthiness
and the fornications that the Apostle John saw. And so, she
is the woman. And she is the woman that demands
intellect and will. And she is the woman that tells
you that you are to have communication with the dead. Now this is quite
horrendous. The official teaching of the
Catholic Church In the same catechism that I quoted to you, I'd like
to read her words. Communion with the dead. In full
consciousness of this communion of the whole mystical body of
Jesus Christ, the Church and its pilgrim members from the
earliest days of the Christian religion is honoured with great
respect the memory of the dead. Our prayer for them is capable
not only of helping them, but also making their intercession
for us effective. A two-way street. You are to
commune with the dead and they will help you also. Communion
with the dead is the occult. That's what this mother teaches
you. We are not to call up the dead. The Catholic Church officially
tells you that you are to call up the dead. And then she has
the audacity to say that if you do not believe in her, the woman,
You cannot have God as your Father. I would like you to read the
exact words of De Calix from the Catholic Church, paragraph
181. Believing is an ecclesial act.
The Church's faith precedes, engenders, supports, and nourishes
our faith. The Church is the mother of all
believers. No one can have God as Father who does not have the
Church as Mother. The harlot that John saw is so
bold But she says that you cannot have God as father if you do
not have her as mother. How audacious and arrogant can
you get? But this is the woman that John saw and is so clear
as we read the words of Scripture. It is not only that John saw
it, but he saw that she drunk the blood of the saints. Horrendous this is. It was from
1203, under the name of Pope Innocent III, that the Inquisition
began. And it was to be 605 years of
bloodshed, of torture, and a burning at the stake. This
is not six years or sixty years, it's 605 years of horrendous
suffering. Eighty popes in a row, according to Peter de Rosa, a
Roman Catholic writer, gave the instruction of how this was to
be done and how it was to be implemented. This is the Vatican's
work The woman sitting on civil authority. It was through civil
authority she got the state in every case in all those nations
in Europe to put people to death. Even though it was her inquisitors
were bishops and priests. Horrendous evil stuff. She has
drunk the blood of the saints. How more graphic can you get
in fulfilment of Revelation chapter 17 and what the Apostle John
saw? Yes, there is a woman and yes,
she does ride the beast. And yes, her colours are scarlet
and purple and on her forehead is written Babylon Mystery Religion. mysterious because she claims
to be Christian while she attempts to deceive people. This is quite
horrendous and it is difficult for me to say these things, but
they have got to be said because of how New Evangelicals are running
to the woman running into the arms of the harlots. And this
is not only said by true evangelicals, that people
are running towards the harlot, it was proclaimed under a headline
in a secular newspaper in 2004. It was the New York Times carried
a headline and they declared the following. I'm reading from
the New York Times, May the 30th, 2004, quotation. In 1960, the last time a Roman
Catholic ran for President on the Democratic ticket, Evangelical
Protestant leaders warned their flocks that electing John F. Kennedy would be handing the
Oval Office to the Antichrist. Forty-four years later, evangelicals
and conservative Catholics have forged an alliance that is reshaping
American politics and culture. Exactly ten years ago, a group
of evangelical and Catholic leaders and scholars released a document
called Evangelicals and Catholics Together. It was the result of
a dialogue started by two men, the Reverend Richard John Newhouse,
a Catholic priest in New York, who edits the journal First Things,
and Charles Coulson. The two men convened a group
of prominent theologians and religious leaders. The evangelical
side included the late Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for
Christ, the religious broadcaster Pat Robertson, and theologians
like James I. Packer. The Catholic side included
the late Cardinal John O'Connor of New York and the theologian
Avery Dulles, now a Cardinal. Their manifesto was primarily
theological, but it included overt political pledges to work
together on issues like abortion, government aid for religious
schools, the strengthening of traditional family. The document
shook the evangelical world. By 2000, Mr. Coulson and James
Dobson The broadcaster who founded Focus on the Family were invited
to the Vatican. Evangelical institutions like
Wheaton College in Illinois and Gordon College in Massachusetts
began inviting Catholics to speak on campus. End of quotation from
the New York Times, May 30, 2004. depicting clearly that New Evangelicals
have joined hands in the dark with the woman. Now it's not
only these New Evangelicals and those who signed Evangelicals
and Catholics together, but it is worse. It gets worse and worse. We have the new perspective That
is a new way of looking at the theology of St. Paul. It's called a new perspective
of many of what were sound Presbyterian churches who have now embraced
that a person can become a Christian by just being united to the covenant
and by infant baptism. and they are on a highway towards
the woman accepting of papal Rome. They've had major conferences
in which Catholic priests have been invited and Greek Orthodox
priests. An offshoot from your perspective
is Auburn Theology or Auburn Theology Movement. with Doug Wilson really the main
man, influencing homeschooling in the United States and in many
other places, bringing people to accept papal Rome and emphatically
declaring that infant baptism is regenerative, makes a person
a Christian. Heading towards papal Rome, We
have about 15 or 16 former Presbyterians who become Roman Catholic apologists,
such as Scott Hahn, the infamous Scott Hahn. They are heading
up a movement with Marcus Grody in charge called the Coming Home
Movement, with many television shows across the United States
and DVDs and programs run in different American cities. This is just a sample of huge
organizations that are running to join themselves to the harlot,
the woman that sits on the seven hills. Babylon mystery religion. It is quite serious. The present
Pope was famous ever before he became Pope. He still is often
known by his name before he became Pope, Ratzinger. People speak
about Ratzinger and they know that they're talking about Pope
Benedict XVI. Ratzinger was famous particularly
in the year 2000 when as Cardinal Ratzinger he published under
the authority of the previous Pope a decree which was official
Roman Catholic teaching called Dominus Isus. It was on the 5th
of September the year 2000. In that decree he said emphatically,
paragraph 22, that the only instrument for salvation for all humanity
is the Roman Catholic Church. And he declared that evangelical
churches are not churches in the proper sense. Quotation,
the ecclesial communities which have not preserved the valid
episcopate and the genuine and integral substance of the Eucharistic
mystery are not churches in the proper sense. That is paragraph
17 of that decree. And then in footnote 51, he approved
of what a previous pope in the 14th century had said, Pope Boniface
VIII. Unum Sanctum. We declare, say,
define and proclaim to every human creature that they, by
necessity for salvation, are entirely subject to the Roman
Pontiff. You see the mindset of this man. That for salvation you must be
subject to the woman who rides the beast. You must be entirely subject.
That document caused some little sensation in the year 2000, but for the most part, pastors
and evangelical leaders made no comment. They just let it
pass by. And the Roman church went scotch-free
as it usually does, even with these horrendous decrees. But
that is the woman who rides the beast. When I was giving you
the civil power, I mentioned at the very end that besides
religious instruction and property and recognition of marriages
where she deals out concordats to nations and the kings of the
earth obey her and enter into civil agreement with her, she
also includes her economic policies. The present Pope Ratzinger has
declared officially the Vatican politics of economics. I'd like to read one of the things
that he authenticates from Vatican Council 2. Quotation, If one
is in extreme necessity, he has a right to procure for himself
what he needs out of the riches of others. If you are in extreme
necessity, you have a right to procure what you need from the
riches of others. That is an exact quotation from
document number 64 Gaudium and space paragraph 69 of Vatican
Council 2. I have written a whole news article
on this called, The Paper Promotion of Collective Ownership and Tests. It's on our webpage and you can
get a copy of this after this message where I go into detail
of Vatican politics. The woman rides the beast and
part of her weaponry is financial power. As was spoken of in Revelation
17, the merchants of the earth work together with her. And her
biggest merchandise is the souls of men. And she sells the souls
of men. It is quite horrendous and quite
heartbreaking. It has been difficult and painful
for me to give this presentation, but it needs to be given. And I know that we have a Catholic
here, if not many Catholics, and I'm happy for that, that
you came here today. And I know that this must be
painful for you to hear these things, but to hear them you
must. I needed to know this when I
was a Catholic priest. And part of my coming out of
the papal system was understanding 2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation
17. That we have to understand that
there's a commandment also given in Revelation 17 going into chapter
18 verse 4. Come out of my people and be
separate that you do not partake of our plagues and our sins.
Come out of her, my people. As you look to the Lord for his
grace and accept salvation in the person of Christ Jesus and
become one of the Lord's own, you come out from her and be
sacrament. And this is for those who really
say they are Bible believers, are true evangelicals. We come
out from her and do not associate with her who rides the beast
or the man of sin who sits in the temple of God as if he were
God. We have no association with this
one when we say to precious Catholic people what the Lord himself
said. The Lord commanded the light
to shine out of darkness that shined in our hearts to give
us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face
of Jesus Christ. God, who at the beginning of
creation made light, now causes his light to shine in the darkness. to give us the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. I ask you, precious
Catholic person, to see the glory of Christ Jesus. He died for
sinners in the place of sinners. He took their sin on His body
on the tree. He took all the agony of what
it was to be punished for the believer's sin. so that the light of the glorious
Gospel could shine on you. God's light could light up your
life and that you could be accepted in Him, the Beloved, to the glory
of the Father's name. That is the Gospel message. He
who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him. Praise His name, that those who
are dead in trespasses and sins hear the voice of the Son of
God and live. I know I was one of those who
heard the voice of the Son of God and lived. And that is my
message to you. Look to no church, look to the
Father in heaven to give you the grace that you would trust
in Christ Jesus alone and you will know the joy unspeakable
and full of glory. And your life will be totally
and forever changed. And you will grow in grace and
knowledge and wisdom before God. I see somebody crying some tears
from their eyes and I feel like that myself. Praise God. Because
this is awesome. It really is awesome. That the
all-holy Christ Jesus gave His life for us destitute sinners. And His commandment is that we
trust on Him, the work of God, that we believe on Him whom the
Father has sent. And in that way, our lives are
totally changed. Praise God. Praise His Holy Name. And we give Him the praise, the
glory, the worship, the honor, now and forevermore. Amen and
Amen. Praise God.
