This is the audio recording of Liberty Gospel Tract TRE 162. The title is, Scale of Five Stars. Rate how sure you are of going to heaven. Could you not choose five stars? Let's discover why. Who owns heaven? God does, because he created it. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, the Bible says in Genesis 1.1. If you are not sure whether God will let you into heaven, it is because you are not sure of your relationship with Him. If you knocked on the door of your grandparents' house, your parents' house, or your friend's house, you would be five stars sure of being let in, that is, if your relationship with Him was good and right. So if you're not five stars sure that God would let you into heaven, then there is some doubt in your mind about your relationship with God. This is the reason. The Bible tells us, but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you that He will not hear. Isaiah 59 verse 2. What sins have separated you from God? Well, number one, have you ever lied? Have you ever lied to your parents, to your teacher, to your boss, to your husband or wife, to your friends, to the government about your taxes, to God? One of the Ten Commandments is, thou shalt not bear false witness. Exodus 20, verse 16. The Bible says, lie not to one another. Colossians 3, verse 9. How many lies do you have to tell to be called a liar? Just one. This is the penalty for lying. The Bible says, And all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelation 21 verse 8. Now you know. Why you could not choose five stars? Because liars do not go to heaven, they are cast into hell. Number two, have you ever swore using God's name? Or have you ever said a bad word? The Bible tells us, thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless. that taketh his name in vain." Exodus 20 verse 7. How many times do you have to swear using God's name to be called a blasphemer? Just once. The Bible says, let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth. Ephesians 4 verse 29. Are you a liar and a blasphemer? then now you know why you could not choose five stars. Number three, have you ever lusted? Have you ever looked at someone and had intimate thoughts about that person, someone to whom you were not married? Jesus said, but I say unto you that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5 verse 28. Does this add to the reasons why you are not five stars sure that God would let you into heaven? Is your relationship with God not right because you are a liar, a blasphemer, or an adulterer at heart? My friend, there is hope. There is a way for you to get reconciled to God right now. Number one, admit that you have sinned and be sorry for it. The Bible says, for I will declare mine iniquity, I will be sorry for my sin. Psalm 38 verse 18. Are you sorry for your sin? The Bible says, for godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2 Corinthians 7 verse 10. Number two, acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and that he died for your sins. The Bible says, for the wages of sin is death. Romans 6 verse 23. The Bible tells us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5, verse 8. The Bible tells us who his own self, referring to Jesus, bear our sins in his own body on the tree, the cross. First Peter 2, 24. The Bible says, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Acts 8, verse 37. Number three, acknowledge that Jesus Christ rose from the grave. The Bible says he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. First Corinthians 15, verse four. Number four, ask him to save you right now. The Bible says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10 verses 9 and 13. So my friend, going over those points again, how can you know for sure you're going to heaven? Number one, admit that you have sinned and be sorry for it. Number two, acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and that he died for your sins. He paid the wages for your sins. And number three, acknowledge that Jesus Christ rose from the grave. What does it prove that Jesus rose from the grave? It proves that his death on the cross was sufficient to pay for all your sins. Because he paid the wages of your sin, he died for you on the cross, and death could not hold him. The penalty for sin could not hold him. He rose from the grave victorious. So ask Him to save you now, from your heart. It's not just empty words, it's from your heart. Being sorry for your sin, believing that He paid the penalty for your sin, and then asking Him to save you. Number five, after you get saved, rejoice and be baptized. The Bible says, then they that gladly received his word were baptized. Acts 2, verse 41. Baptism does not save us. It is just a picture of us identifying with Jesus' death and burial, and that's pictured as we are placed down under the water when we're baptized. And then we are pictured with his resurrection as we are brought up out of the water, picturing resurrection and a new life. So baptism shows our desire to now live for God. It's death to the old life of sin, and it's a brand new resurrection, a brand new life, living for God. The Bible says even so, we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6 verse 4. My friend, would you bow your head and tell God right now that you are sorry for your sins? Would you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? and He died on the cross to pay the penalty of your sin, and then rose again victorious from the grave.
