Sacred Space in Promise: David's Early Reign

This sermon chronicles David's incremental rise to the throne of Israel and the crucial accomplishments of his early reign in preparation for the Davidic Covenant. Those accomplishments included his reunification of the twelves tribes of Israel, his conquest of Jerusalem, and his transport of the ark to the new capital city in fulfillment of God's previous instruction concerning a central sanctuary and fixed dwelling place for His name. Though they were historically significant within David's own reign, these early accomplishments more importantly are fundamental to David's role within and contribution to God's developing revelation of His Son and His recovery of sacred space in Him.
