I couldn't stand with this, the
book of Revelation chapter 21. Hallelujah. Verse number one.
Here's something else John saw. He said, I saw a new heaven and
a new earth. For the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away. It's not gonna be water next
time, my dear brothers and sisters. Amen. You think you could ever
sing that song for us? Probably not. All right, and
there was no more sea, which deals with no separation, praise
the Lord. And I, John, saw the holy city,
New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as
a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out
of heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them and be their God. "'And
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, "'and there
shall be no more death, "'neither sorrow nor crying, "'neither
shall there be any more pain, "'for the former things are passed
away.' "'And he that sat upon the throne said, "'Behold, I
make all things new. "'And he said unto me, write.
For these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me,
it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end. I will give unto him that is
a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that
overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son. Now in verse number 22, please.
Revelation 21, verse 22. And I saw no temple therein,
for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to
shine in it. For the glory of God did lighten
it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them
which are saved shall walk in the light of it, and the kings
of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. and the gates
of it shall not be shut at all by day, for there shall be no
night there, and they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations
into it, and there shall in no wise enter into it anything that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh
a lie, but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Can
you say tonight, I will be there? Praise God, amen, you may be
seated, thank you, amen. Revelation 21, giving us a picture,
amen, of our place called heaven, amen, called a new heaven and
a new earth, and thank God that God is gonna give us something
brand new, amen, hallelujah, thank God for it. I want you
to think with me for a little while tonight, if we can transport
ourselves for a little while. I wanna preach about heaven for
a few moments tonight, on the comfort of heaven. the comfort
of heaven. You'll find in our Bible tonight
that heaven is a place that God describes as being a place that
is completely pure. He said, there'll be nothing
that defileth, nothing that worketh a lie, no abomination, no abominable,
amen, no wicked, no ungodly, no devilish, amen. There'll be
nothing but purity in heaven. Amen, heaven, as you know, will
be a peaceful place. I didn't say a quiet place. Amen,
it's not gonna, preachers have said it true, this is the quietest
place you'll ever be in the world, amen. Whether you go heaven or
hell, it's not gonna be quiet. But in heaven, it's gonna be
peaceful. There'll be no rebels, there'll be no rebellion. There'll
be nothing contrary to the way or the will of God being done.
It's gonna be a peaceful place, amen. It is as Jesus told his
disciples, amen. You remember the other night
about believe? What was he telling them? He said, let not your heart
be troubled. What'd he tell them? I go to
prepare a place for you, and if I go, I will come again and
receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. He desires to have you with him.
So he's gone to prepare a place. Heaven is a private place. It's not open for visitors. It's
not open for trespassers. Amen. And by the way, how would
a trespasser find his way anyhow? Amen. Amen. There'll be nothing
in heaven but the privacy that God has granted his people. That's
why the wall is there. That's why the gates are there.
It's a secure place for God's people, but it's private. Amen. You've gotten to see what he
said this morning, his passing, that heaven's a prepared place.
You have to have a reservation. Amen. Amen. A prepared place,
as one preacher said, for a prepared people. Amen. It's private. We'll read about the fact that
heaven is a place that shall be eternal. It's permanent. Thank
God. Amen. Glad I'm not going to the
home of the sky for 30 day reprieve. I'm glad there's no one-year
rental term, amen. I'm glad it's forever and ever
and ever is a permanent place. It is a place, as we said, it
might be peaceful, but it's not gonna be quiet. It is gonna be
a place of loud, lofty, often praise. Amen, amen. Well, preacher, what about those
that don't like to worship? Well, they need to get saved,
and then they'll enjoy the worship. Because when I read my Bible,
the ones who got upset with worship was a man named Judas, who Jesus
said was the devil. Amen. Oh, Lord, help me, Jesus,
amen. I can't even get into it, okay?
I know there's knuckleheads and blockheads and all the rest,
but when people don't like worship, something is wrong. I'm not gonna
say what it is, but something's wrong, amen? Because heaven is
gonna be a place where you don't have to think about it. You don't
have to work it up. is coming out. You're gonna praise. Amen. Now I hate it for those
who've been in churches that don't practice this, and so they
don't have the, they've never been used to it, they've never
participated in it, and heaven's gonna be an eye opener, amen.
But to me, I've seen people go places they've never been, and
no one had, they just came out. They started cheering for the
team without knowing what they were doing. They didn't know a touchdown from
a home run. Way to go, they didn't care. That's part of the environment. When you get to heaven, if you
haven't been around it, it will not take long to realize this
is the manner of heaven. This is the acceptable, no praise
is not acceptable. Amen. Like Brother Will's talking
about going back to that church and you can't do that, you're
unsettling things because you said amen, you can't be doing
that around here. Amen. I know people have gone
to a, a Bible college in Florida, down near the panhandle. And
in that college, I don't know, back years ago, it was just what
hadn't changed today, that they don't want you saying amen because
you disrupt the service. And people may not understand
why you're doing so, and so they have these time of, basically
you come to church and have time out. You just sit there and be quiet.
They even have things called Vespers. I don't even know what
a Vesper is, but it seemed like something offensive to God to
me. Amen. Amen. God wants you to, he's
seeking such to worship him. Amen. I believe when God saves
you, he wants you to worship. Let the redeemed of the Lord
say, so what, that they're redeemed. Amen. I am redeemed. Lord, I'm
glad I'm saved. Amen. And when you get to heaven, I
don't care who you are, where you came from. If you are saved,
you are gonna praise. You can't help it, amen, it's
coming out. Amen, you may not be around,
whoever I'm talking to, amen, may not be around it, may not
have been associated with it, but it's gonna not take half
a second to have them realize this is what heaven's all about.
The angels are crying out, the church is crying out, everyone
you know is in heaven saying glory, glory, glory, and there
I go, glory! Over what? I don't know yet,
but glory! Amen. I appreciate, I love the fact
that God introduced me two years ago and I was coming out of a
place, didn't have that, had no idea. Amen was an unusual
thing and got around it and I saw people raising their hand. What
in the world is going on? What are they doing? I thought
they were asking for help. I didn't know, I really didn't
know what they were doing. I really didn't. I know they're interrupting
the service, preacher, preacher, preacher, preacher, but they
were just worshiping. They were just rejoicing. They
were just doing their part in praising. Amen. And then I watched
people doing, they had two hands up. I'm like, what in the world?
Amen. It was, I mean, brand new. And
then people saying amen and people just testifying, not having a,
on the fifth Sunday we have a testimony service. Well, it was just people
just testifying. Oh man, I love that. I like this. I like something inside. I like
this. And we were there a couple days and it wasn't a couple days
in the meeting. Amen. It got so good, my wife's
hammering up in the air. Yeah, it's just something on
the inside was just like, this is something I've been missing.
And ever since then, I've just always had the mindset that when
you go to church, give it your best. I've always had that mindset. Amen, give it your best, and
when it comes to worship, give it your best. Amen, you have
to take you and put you aside. Remember, it's not personality. Amen, you lay a $100 bill in
front of them, you find their personality, they have no problem
then. That shame and that whatever,
how they sound, no, it's out the window. and you let them
get a check in the mail, and all dignity is gone. Some great
blessing, oh, they lose themselves, and oh, I couldn't help it, I
got so excited. I've always wanted one of these.
Then you come to church, and why can't you just let it out? Because you're binding it in,
amen, amen. Quit, quit, quit, quit riding
the personality train. Amen, and start walking in the
spirit, because that spirit that's inside of you is that well of
living water that's gonna keep springing up inside of you, and
you keep plunging it and pushing it down. Let it out, amen. Let the redeemed of the Lord
say so. Amen. Well, you think about heaven
tonight, and we're talking about the comfort of heaven. And if
we were to stop tonight and think about heaven and what we know
about, we don't know much about it. Amen, I can't, I'm not an
artist, I couldn't draw it for you. But if I described it to
you, there's no way we can fully get the picture of it. Because
we're bound by what we've seen on earth. If I talk about a gate,
you're gonna think about some mansion had this gate. God's
not like them, his is so much better. Amen, and I've never
seen a gate of pearl. Amen. I've never seen walls of
jasper. I've never been on a city street
that was gold clear as crystal. I've never been anywhere where
the foundations were jewels. And the light was the Lamb of
God. You think about that light and
the radiating and the colors and all that's gonna be. There's
no way anybody can paint a picture or draw a picture, even compare
what heaven's gonna be like. There's no way. How do you draw
for me what it's gonna be like being around the throne? Can you draw the mansion properly? We have no idea. When God talks
about something, we just see what we've seen. So we think,
oh, it's gonna look like this and this kind of thing. God is
so far above man in his ability, what he can design, amen. God
is a wonderful architect, a wonderful designer and builder, and he's
beyond compare, amen. There's nothing we can compare
it to. But what we do know is enough for me to say, I wanna
go there. Amen, I wanna be there, amen. So with that in mind tonight,
the comfort of heaven, here's how heaven comforts us. Number
one, the comfort of heaven is it gives us deliverance from
sin. Now here's the thing, if you
have never allowed yourself to comprehend the actual evil, the
filthiness, our own depravity, you won't understand what it
means to deliver from sin. You know what it takes a person
to appreciate that is one who knows what they were that God
delivered them from. Amen. I'm glad that in salvation
God has delivered us, amen, from the power of sin. Forgiving us
according to the price of sin, but one day we'll be free from
the presence of sin. You realize that in heaven there
will be nothing but purity. there'll be no sin. Amen, there'll
be nothing that defileth, nothing that worketh. No one's gonna
come up to you and tell you a lie. No one's gonna come up to you
and tell you something that hurts your feelings. Nobody's gonna say something
to misrepresent you. or lead you down a wrong path.
There'll be nothing in heaven to draw you away into sin. Amen,
I'm looking forward to being in heaven and being free from
the opportunity to sin. I remember years ago, Brother
Student Blue preached and he was talking about temptation.
And he said, when you have temptation by itself, you can handle it.
You have an opportunity without temptation, you can handle it.
But you put those two together. Temptation with opportunity.
He said, that's when you gotta watch out. Amen. See, with people, if that temptation
is there, but people are all around you, you don't have opportunity,
that temptation, you can kind of push it away. But if the temptation's
there and no one's there to know what you're doing, now you're
in trouble. You better make your way out
quickly, amen? But I'm looking for the day when I can live a
life and not have to worry about sin popping up somewhere, amen? Not having to worry about myself
with the opportunity to sin. And therefore there'll be no
more falling, no more failing, no more sin in my heart, in my
life. Won't have to deal with sin in
anybody's life, amen? Can you imagine? No, I cannot.
What it's gonna be like to be in a place where there's absolutely
no sin. Millennial kingdom, Jesus ruling,
peace on earth, and them bunch of rebels have the audacity to
rise up against the God of glory. Heaven won't be like that. There'll
be no more Luciferian uprisings. No more angel anarchy. No saint is rising up like an
Absalom and saying, y'all come and follow me, we're starting
a new kingdom. There'd be none of that. There'd be no sin in
it, no sin. Nothing on the side corner, nothing
down the street, nothing in your mansion, amen. Nothing of sin
at all. I don't know about you, but the
one I get sickest of the most is me. Amen, yeah, I hate sin,
hate what sinners do, but I'm telling you, when I find myself
doing what they do, it's like, what is wrong with you? Why did
you give in? Why did you do that? Opportunity,
but thank God in heaven, there's no opportunity to sin. Praise
God, amen. And that is why sinners don't
wanna go to heaven. Amen, there's no corner liquor
store. There's no, There's no Christian pharmacist
in the church. I'd say he was licensed, but
there's no Christian pharmacist. No dispensary, I guess you'd
call it, place you can go get your pills that you need to help
you cope with life, because you don't have any peace on the inside.
Amen. You realize that heaven, there's
no ADHD, no PTSD. know whatever thing they can
come up with, their anxiety and problems of life, they just can't
cope, the peace of God isn't sufficient down, there'll be
none of that in heaven. Amen, no opportunity for sin, and if
you ask a sinner, then I don't wanna go. But those that are saved, you
know we're saying, God, please, hasten the day when I can be
in a place where there is no sin. Amen, no opportunity to
sin. In sin, there's no more offense.
You understand that every time we sin, we offend God? It's an
offense against Almighty God. Amen, that's why there's grief,
that's why there's guilt, because we offended God. That's what
drives you to repentance, that godly sorrow, the fact, I offended
God. I didn't just do wrong, I didn't
just, oops, I didn't just slip, I offended God. I transgressed
the law of God. I purposely, willfully said,
I'm doing what I wanna do. Opportunity's available, I'm
doing it, I don't care about, now you may not have thought
you thought all that, but you actually processed, and you did
what you knew I should not be doing. You had opportunity, but
now there's an offense. Now you gotta live with that
offense. Amen. I don't know about you, but as
you go through the Christian life, you're gonna find this much out.
You got saved, but you still got that nature, that old man,
and you're still gonna sin. But it's different than when
you were lost. When you were lost, it didn't bother you. If
you offended somebody, you didn't notice or didn't care. When you
get saved and you sin, boy, that guilt, Boy, that grief of, Lord,
I'm sorry, Lord, I'm sorry I offended you, I didn't, because you can
feel that barrier, amen, with that grief when you wrong somebody
and you feel that distance and that I can't reach them like
I want to, I feel there's a, yeah, the grief and the guilt
because I offended them. Or someone offended me with their
sin. Amen, so there's an offense taking place, causing grief and
guilt. So the offense comes with, thank
God, there'll be deliverance from offense, deliverance from
opportunity, and deliverance from the obstruction of sin.
Your sins have withholding good things from you. Your sins have
separated you from God. If I regard iniquity in my heart,
God will not hear me. Amen. One sinner destroyeth much
good. We're thankful tonight that we
can walk in the light and have fellowship with the Father and
Jesus Christ. Sin separates fellowship. It
hinders your prayers, affects your spiritual life. That's an
obstruction. What I was gonna do, I'm not
doing because of sin. I was gonna do this in righteousness,
but I put myself as a servant of sin. So now that sin is obstructing
that weight and that sin that so easily doth beset us. Thank God in heaven there'll
be no besetting sin. There'll be nothing that's gonna
spring up on you and weigh you down and trouble you and cause
you to say, well, I can't really go to the throne today, I'll
let them go, I sinned against God and I don't know about, no,
that'll be gone. No more an obstruction, no more
anything, I don't know about you, but it troubles and it should
trouble me. Amen. When I sin, it should trouble
me. And I should feel that grief
and that remorse I wanna be right with you. But Lord, I know there's an offense.
Please forgive me. But how we are, I can say I'm
sorry, I can confess it, I can forsake it, fully repentant of
it, but boy, that guilt just doesn't go away easy. And boy, the devil loves to,
doesn't he? We talked about this morning
how that your mind, you could be right there in the message,
and all of a sudden, boop. Not always a sinful thing. Oh,
tomorrow I need a, no, no, no, I can tell you anything about
that later. Well, that's one thing. But you could be in church,
have your hand rising to the sky, and all of a sudden, the
devil brings up something. I'm not worthy. I can't worship
God. Did you confess it? Yeah. Did
you turn from it? Yeah. Okay. It's gone. It's taken care of,
it's done. But oh, that guilt plays on us,
the devil plays on us. Amen, so now that sin is an obstruction. But thank God in heaven, you
won't be going down the street of gold and have some wrong thought
or some wrong deed, and then see, geez, I can't see, I'm gonna
go hide the other way. Amen, amen, I'm glad that the
guilt of shame, all that'll be gone. I'm not gonna walk around
heaven with my head hung low, because I see something that
reminds me of something I did. Amen, amen, so thank God there'll be
a time we will be delivered from sin. Listen carefully, the comfort
of heaven, Not just deliverance from sin, but distancing from
sinners. Listen to me. I've read about
preachers in the past talking about this very matter, that
a sinner would be glad to go to heaven if they can keep sinning. But if they have to quit their
sinning to go, no, that's all. Oh, I want Jesus, I wanna go
to heaven. I don't wanna go to heaven. I
wanna go to heaven. Well, you're gonna have to, oh, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no. You mean I gotta do this and I can't do that and
I can't be this and I can't be this? I thought you wanted to
go to heaven. Well, not that badly. Not that badly. Can I remind you that young ruler
was sorrowful because he had great possessions. But let me
ask you something, sir. What were you planning to do
with those possessions? That might be the problem. You might have had plans for
your money of what you wanna do for yourself in pleasure,
and if you gave it all away, you can't afford to do it. Amen. So the time will come, heaven
will be a comfort, because we will be distant from sinners. I gotta remind you what Jesus
said of those who are saved. He said, the world hates you. Then he let her know, but don't
let that shock you surprise you. He said, they hated me. If they
hate me, they're gonna hate you. So it's time to understand. Sinners
are hateful. The world, if you're saved, the
world hates you. Now, either you believe Jesus
or you don't. Either you wanna run to your
NIV on this one or something else, but Jesus said, if you
are mine, the world will hate you, no question. You don't have
to introduce yourself, they're gonna hate you. John lets us know that if you
don't love that which has been born of God, you don't know God
yourself. You say you love God and hate
the brother, you're still walking in darkness, you don't know God.
Amen, amen, amen, amen. This does not bother me. Don't
let it bother you. Because in heaven, the ones who
are there are the ones who want to be there. Amen, and if that
sinner wanted to go to heaven, they'd deal with their sin. That
ought to be, as that preacher said the other day, that ought
to be motivational. Oh, let me go back up. Maybe it was. Hold on. I'm cycling back through. One of the preachers talked about
repentance. Might have been a message I heard.
But he was talking about the fact about, that's who it was,
I heard another preacher say this. He was talking about repentance.
And he said, you remember years ago, a preacher called him who
was a leading evangelist. You heard that, probably heard
this story. And called him, asked him about that, about repentance.
because it's becoming a big issue. He said, I don't know about all.
He said, let me ask you a question. Well, let me ask you a question.
He said, a man comes in to the church, an obvious sinner, comes
staggering to the church. You give a clear presentation
of the gospel, and you offer them that free gift of salvation.
and offer and plead with them and show them it's a free gift.
You can leave today knowing you're saved, knowing you're forgiven,
knowing you're going to heaven. If you would come and receive
this free gift, and the invitation, they walk out. He says, he said,
why'd he leave? He said, why did he not take
a free gift? Because he wasn't gonna repent. Amen. I have talked to people
in the worst condition in their life, sitting there, and I've
told them about salvation, about being saved, and they listened,
they said, I'm going to hell, and then they said this, do I
need to, no, they didn't say do I, they said, well, that means
I gotta quit doing this. I didn't say that, they said, well, I
gotta quit doing this, I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready
to walk away from my sin. We're not talking about works,
we're talking about repentance. Not willing, God's not gonna
save you in your sin. And you keep living like a hog
and a dog and all, but God, no, no, that's not God's salvation.
That's a man-made operation. And that'll get you as far as
the grave is all it's gonna get you. Amen. A man has to be willing
to turn from his sin that God's gonna save them from their sin,
not in their sin. Amen. That hog pit dwelling person
has never been saved. God's gonna bring them out, or
God's gonna bury them. Amen. Heaven's a place that'll
distance us from sinners. While we're here, we're living
among darkness, but thank God, there's not enough darkness to
put out the light. And we're to be constant light, constant
salt, amen, constantly sharing, letting people know the way to
heaven, how to help them get to God and salvation, amen, but
the day's coming, someone has to make a decision, amen, and
I'm not willing to stay forever. Amen. The distancing from sinners. Only saved people will be in
heaven. He clarifies that in chapter
21, the last verse about names are in the book of life. That's
the criteria. And how do you get your name
in the book of life? You gotta be born again. And that's his registry
of all the births. has a record book, so and so
was born on this day. There's a record book. And there's
nobody gonna be in heaven that hasn't first had a registry. A time when God wrote down when
they got birth into the family of God. It's not your works,
it's not your membership, it's not your baptism, it's not your
giving, it's not your deeds. Have you been born again? You
don't get to heaven unless you've been born again. Amen. Amen. So that means there's no sinners
in heaven. None of them. Amen. That means that on earth,
what we have to deal with with sinners is always having to deal
with their temptation. Because sinners don't sin alone. Amen. I think the reason we talked
about that, and you've had a little more experience than I have with
that for sure, but you mentioned about watching people, wicked,
ungodly, someone says they're saved, and intentionally, purposely
put something in front of them to see. Oh, you say you're saved? And try to push them into sin.
It doesn't mean the person's saved or lost, but this person
is trying to make them by putting temptation before them. Because
sinners don't like condemnation. And you're trying to act like
you're better than me? I'm gonna show you you're no different than me. And I'm gonna prove to everyone
you're no different. I'm sick of your hottie-tottie and holy
attitude. I'm gonna show everyone you're
just like I am. You just wear the title of Christian. Y'all
remember the testimony of that preacher the other day? When
he talked about gonna go to that one church, he said, but I knew
all those people. I gambled with them, I drank with them, I partied
with them, and I didn't wanna go. I know what they are. All right,
that's the same type thing. Let me see if I can get, they
say they're saved, they say they're a Christian, they act like they're
better than me, like I'm something bad wrong with me. Well, I'm gonna
show them they're no different than I am. And so a sinner will
purposely try to put temptation in front of what they think is
a child of God. Amen, okay. Would a real Christian, a real Christian purposely try
to get another Christian to fall? I don't believe so. I don't believe
so. I'm talking purposely, intentional
mischief to cause him to fall. I don't know anyone can get out
of sorts in any way, but the characteristic of a Christian
is not trying to get people to sin. But a sinner? The more the merrier. Isn't that
their motto? The more the merrier, the more
people we can get doing, the better off it's gonna be. Hey, they act like
they don't do. Let's see if they'll take part
in this, in temptation. You watch your life. When temptation
comes around, look for sinner carrying the sign. This way. Free this, free that. This way.
This way. Amen. I tell you what, if I'm
off base, I'm off base, I don't think I am, but if I am, just
listen to me. A Christian is not gonna tempt a Christian to
sin. And if they do so, you just treat them like you would a sinner
and distance yourself. If you're gonna get me to try
to sin, I'm gonna treat you like I treat a sinner. I'm gonna separate
myself because you're trying to get me to sin. Amen, amen. I'm gonna flee, run. Flee from
it, don't hang around and tell them no. In the name of Jesus,
I say no. In the name of Jesus, run! Best
thing you can do is make tracks, amen. So distancing, the sinners
will try to lay temptation before you. Sinners will lay their transgressions
before you. It's interesting, is it not?
I don't know if that's the right word. But how sinners will get
so angry at you living your life as a Christian. And you're not, like I said,
you're not carrying placards and signs and letters of condemnation
or whatever. You're just trying to live for
God, okay? Well, they take it like you're
putting it in their face. Oh, you just think you're better
than me. No, I'm just trying to live my life. I'm not trying
to hurt you, I'm not trying to offend you, I'm not trying to
drive a wedge, I'm just trying to live for God. If you get upset
with that, you get upset with it, but I'm just trying to live
for God. And they get upset with you putting your life before
them, even though you're not putting it into them. Oh, but
they have no problem putting their sin before your face. It's really more like when they
know you're against it, they'll purposely bring it out. Oh, that's right, you don't like
this, do you? Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I forgot your family
didn't do that. Oh, blankety, blank, blank. Oh,
I forgot y'all were more sensitive to that kind of language. You didn't forget. Put on a certain program when
you walk in. Talk certain topics when you
get around. And they knew you were there, they know how you
feel and how you believe, and they purposely lay their transgression
before your face. What you gonna do? What you gonna
say? Thank God there's a place we can distance ourselves from
sinners who wanna lay their transgressions before our face. Amen, thank
God we can be free one day, distant from sinners with their tongue. Amen. I'll tell you something.
James tells us about how evil the tongue is. And that little
tongue, what a dangerous member it is. And that's what you have
in God inside to help you regulate and control your tongue. They
have no regulator. They have no controller. They
have no one on the inside to say, nope, nope, nope, nope. And we struggle with the tongue.
They don't. They don't struggle at all. They
don't mind spewing out, spewing out, spewing out, spewing out,
spewing out, spewing out, spewing out. Oh, did that hurt you? Yeah, that's the tongue that's
coming out of an evil heart. Amen, and a wicked mind. Evil
intentions. These are the ones that can't
sleep at night because they didn't cause any mischief during the day. Amen, amen. You realize that
when you think about a serpent, a viper, we know they have fangs,
but the first thing you think about is their tongue. Because
that tongue is their sensory perceptor. That's what they use to sense
something nearby is that tongue. Picking up heat, different things,
that tongue is their sensor. They're not just striking at
something till they've sensed it with their tongue. They're
not trusting their eyes, it's their tongue. You ever seen a
snake? That tongue. Fork tongue. Double tongue. Bipolar tongue. Gonna pick up on either side
of their face. trying to find something they
can strike. What do they use first? Their
tongue. When they sense, they use that tongue, and for
those people, their tongue is attached to their fangs. So it's not just forked, it's
a fang tongue. And that tongue comes out, and
you get injected with poison. And they did it on purpose. That's
what sinners do. They have no God to please. They
have no reason to guard what they say. They're like those
in the Bible that said, our tongue is our own, who will lord over
us? That's a sinner. A sinner has
no problem telling you how they feel, what they think about you
or anybody else, and they don't mind using that tongue for whatever
purpose they wanna use it for. Flattery. Do you really think a Christian's
gonna live a life using flattery? Come on now. Flattery is false
praise. A falsehood is not truth. Which
means it's a lie. Now if you say you're a Christian
and you can be a liar, you need to go read Revelation chapter
21 verse number eight. And all liars shall have their part in
the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Well I'm saved, I just have a
problem with lying. You got a problem with more than
that. You done lied to yourself about being saved. Because the Holy Ghost is not
gonna put up with lying. Remember what happened to Ananias
and Sapphira when they lied to the Holy Ghost? God made an example of those
two when they lied to the Holy Ghost. My people don't lie. Quit your lying. Flattery is
lying. Now I don't think you ought to
purposely hurt somebody by telling them the truth. As the preacher
said, isn't it a second opinion? You're ugly too. Okay. We're not talking about, well,
I just, I just, I just want to tell the truth. No, just keep
your mouth shut. Okay. But don't purposely try
to make somebody believe something that you don't believe. Amen. You can always look in
their eyes. You know what I'm talking about.
They get around and they wanna, oh, look at their eyes. They're
lying to you. They want you to be their friend.
Or they want you to do something for them. So they will tell you
what they think you wanna hear about yourself. They want me to take part? Why
would they pick me? Because you were there. Or because
you might have money to take them out to eat afterwards. Oh, we've been, no, you're flattering
me. Quit, shut up. No, no. Why are you acting like
a viper? The flattering tongue worketh
ruin. Why are you acting like a viper?
Christians don't act like vipers. Now, listen to me. Every one
of us are gonna say things we shouldn't say that hurt somebody. Not intentionally. Not intentionally. But when you're seeking to hurt
them intentionally, you need to go back and find out from
God what's wrong in your heart. Because that's not a characteristic
of a child of God. Wanting to use their tongue to
hurt people. Whether through flattery or some other means
just to purposely cause people hurt. Amen! Amen, amen, thank God one day
we'll be having a distance between us and the tongue of the wicked.
Amen, what about the trouble of the wicked? Man that is born
only a few days and full of trouble, where did it all come from? We're
not talking about trials, we're talking about trouble. You know
what sinners do? They cause trouble. Amen. You go back and look at the books
and they'll tell you back in 1963, go back and read and they'll
show you the crimes being committed in the public schools. Or what
they call the offenses. Getting out of line, chewing
gum, not getting permission to go to the restroom, throwing
an eraser. Okay, now find out what do you
think the crimes are in public schools. How about assault on
a teacher? Now I'm not even gonna talk about
the things, other things they do that's just absolute atrocities in schools
today. That would put people in prison
and they come in schools and they just get it because they're
only a school kid. Wickedness, unbelievable wickedness going
on. You know why? That's what sinners do. They
cause trouble. They're always trying to diss,
okay? Have you ever been around family? And it's okay at first,
till somebody showed up. or somebody showed out. Now that
little gathering you had really begins to irritate you because
that person is just causing trouble. They're agitating. They're stirring
people up in wickedness. Before they showed up, we could
converse, we're having, it was fine. It was fine. A lot of times
when it comes down to separating from family gatherings, it's
because of one or two people. that just wanna stir the pot
all the time. I've got family, and in the mind
is like, if we could have a gathering and them not come, it'd be good.
Honestly, I would go, we'd have a good time, I think, and I could
tolerate. But if they're coming, I know
that they're just gonna be boisterous, they're gonna all try to take
over things, they're gonna be dominating and domineering, and
I'm not putting up with it. I'm not gonna drive X number
of hours and spend my time to sit around there because family,
and then listen to somebody cause trouble in the house, forget
it. I'd rather sit at home and do whatever, watch grass grow. count the raindrops as they fall
from the sky. Whatever, I don't wanna put myself in that situation
because they're just causing trouble. That's what sinners
do. Thank God when we get to heaven,
you won't have to worry about the temptations, the transgressions,
amen. Heaven's not just you're not
sinning, they're not sinning. You don't have to walk by a sinner.
You don't have to hear those undertones and that viper tongue
talking about, well, why is the Lord doing it that way? Didn't
we worship yesterday and now we gotta go back to the throne
again today? There'll be none of that trash. I don't know,
he said he's gonna do this. Do you really think that's a
good idea? I think we ought to take it up and have a vote. There'll be
none of that stuff. Amen. Oh, amen. Help me. Good night now, my soul
in the morning. Praise God, amen. Distancing
from sinners, amen. We will be free from sin. Thirdly,
it'll be a departure from our suffering. See, heaven, the comfort
of heaven is we won't suffer anymore. No more suffering. John 16, 33, Jesus said, in the
world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. Why? I've overcome the world. See,
there's coming a day you'll have no more trouble, no more suffering,
no more heartache, no more pain, amen. The godly, as you know,
are gonna suffer persecution. The Bible said in our text that
the former things are passed away. Well, what is it he said
is gonna pass away? Well, if you look down in verse
number four, he talks about wiping all tears from their eyes, but
he said there should be no more death. Well, we'll just call
that there'll be no more parting. Amen, no more saying goodbye
to loved ones. No more death snatching away
somebody you love. Amen. Amen. And I guess we could
take this further, not just in death, but there'd be no more
parting. People walking away from you. It's like a death. Amen. Thank God in heaven, you
won't have to deal anymore with people parting. Amen. Departing from you and walking
away. Amen. Treating you like you're dead. Okay? Amen. Thank God. I'm trying to preach about heaven
now, amen, the comfort of heaven. We'll have a departure from suffering,
there'll be no more parting. Then he said there'll be no more
sorrow, that's our problems. Amen, no more problems. Well,
glory. Amen, amen. Amen, amen, amen. Thank God. I appreciate how God
will allow things to happen and then it'll be a simple fix. But
you don't always know that. Amen. When I walked in Wednesday
morning and smelled first, then I saw my, something just doesn't
smell right. Then I saw what happened in that
room and I'm like, oh no. And I already noticed when I
opened my phone up that two units across the street weren't working,
two units near her weren't working. Oh boy. Then the AC on the main
auditorium wasn't coming up. Oh boy. Oh Lord, we got four
units down. Internet's not working. We got
a flooded building. And I'm supposed to study for
preaching tonight. That was Wednesday morning after
my Tuesday night, which I'm not even gonna get into. Okay, and
I'm gonna preach tonight? All right, Lord, you won't have
to help me. Amen. Because in your mind, you're
wondering, okay, what does this mean? What is wrong? Is it a
simple fix, hard fix? What is it? Well, praise God,
some of it was a simple fix. Thank God for it. Amen, and then
that led to finding out other things that we were that close
to having disaster. But it got discovered because
this problem led us to discover that problem. And so now it becomes,
well, thank you for the problem that let us prevent a bigger
problem. Amen. Then we found out that the other
problems could be fixed with little tweaks here and there.
Thank you, Lord, it wasn't what it could have been in my mind's
eye. Thank you, Lord, for taking care of that pressure, that problem,
that stuff that comes in your life that is just a problem to
you. Amen, amen. Some of y'all had a week like
that last week, didn't you? This happened and that happened and
that happened and that happened. You think about that and that's
going on and ah! You feel like the maniac running
through the yard, don't you? Ah! What's wrong with him? Oh, nothing,
he's just getting the stress out, amen. He didn't have any
dessert in the house, that's how he deals with his stress,
amen. Run through the yard. The problems,
the sorrow involved. What about next? He said there'll
be no death, no sorrow, no crying, no pity. Nothing that's hurting
you bringing the tears. You've cried before what we call
happy tears. Why are you crying? I'm so happy.
Why? But sometimes it can be so overwhelming
what happens. It's the joy and the tears run.
But I don't think he's talking about the happy tears. I think
he's talking about that brokenness, that pity of what I'm dealing
with and how it's affecting me, bringing me to tears. Amen. Amen. Have you ever been hurt
and it just hurts so much, you started crying just because how
it hurt? That's what we're talking about. Then he does mention plainly,
no more pain. So no more parting, no more problems,
no more pity, no more pain. Amen, praise God. Nothing that
hurts you anymore, nothing, amen. You realize you can run down
the street of gold 1,500 miles, just keep on running, and never
twist an ankle, never get hurt, don't come back and go ow, ooh,
ouch, ee, amen, amen. You can bend and stretch and
run and jump and never throw your back out, never have a problem
with your foot, your ankle, your knee, or anything else. Shoulder
going out, there'll be no more pain. You will never hurt again. Never. Amen, I say happy day. I say bring it on. Amen, amen. Parting hurts. Problems can hurt. Crying means there's probably
some hurt. And flat out pain, no question,
that hurt. Amen. I don't care how strong
you think you are. You can get hurt. Amen. So we find that there will be
some things finally being done with, amen. Another thing I want
you to consider is this, the comfort of heaven is when it
comes to that time, we will finally have a complete death of self. Amen. Boy, what a struggle we
have, don't we? With ourselves. Amen. We said so in Brother Paul. The
things I would, I don't. But the things I would not, I
do. Can you almost hear Paul saying, what is wrong with you?
You claim to be a Christian, you claim to be an apostle, you
claim to be a servant of the most high God, you claim to have
done more labors than anyone else, and you can't do right
all the time. I can hear that frustration.
I want to and I don't. I don't want to and I do. Oh! Oh! There's nothing good about my
flesh. Nothing good about my flesh.
In my flesh dwelleth no good thing. None. I don't care who
you are. Your flesh stinketh. Amen. Amen. You've been dead more than
Lazarus was. You really stink. Amen. Amen. That flesh stinks. It's putrid. Amen. It's amazing how often
we'll put it on and walk around and get used to the smell, I
guess, of that putrid, rotting flesh of ours, and we'll let
that flesh rise up, and then we're like, why'd you do that?
Don't do that. Don't give into your flesh. Don't
make provision. Don't give into the devil. You
did it again. I'm getting sick of myself. Thank God there'll be a day that
myself will finally be dead. Amen, I'll be in a glorified
body, amen. I will not have the same problems
I have today, amen. Glad I won't be having to deal
with myself on a regular basis, amen. Trying to pick myself up,
straighten myself out, rebuke myself, correct myself, exhort
myself, encourage myself. Just believe God, would you? I'm glad the day's coming. The
comfort of heaven is me is gonna be gone. I thank God, amen, that
I won't have to deal with me anymore. Amen. No longer look at that mirror
and say, listen up, buddy. Amen. I won't have to do that
anymore. No more dealing with myself,
with my sin, my whatever it might be that's hindering me. Amen,
I will have nothing restricting me in those realms, amen. 1 John 3, 2 tells us that we
shall be like him. We shall see him as he is. Boy,
now, think about it. So John said, we shall be like
him. We'll be in a glorified body,
no more temptation, no more being drawn away of our own lust and
enticed. There's nothing to entice you. And in that glorified form, no
longer dealing with this old flesh, that old nature. Finally,
the old nature will be put to rest for good. Man, praise God. No more having to deal with my
flesh. No longer having to deal with
my faults. Preacher, you got faults? Come on. Come on, come
on, come on. I've heard preachers say, people
say, you got so many faults. He said, look, come to me and
I'll give you a list. I'll add to your list, amen. We know part of our faults, our
shortcomings, our besetting sins. We know those things. But when
we get to heaven, we'll no longer have to deal with our faults,
our failures. Oh mercy, okay. That's a good verse, I'm gonna
highlight that verse. That's a good verse right there. Oh, that's
a good, oh yes, I love that, thank you. Oh, the Bible's so
precious, oh, da, da, da, da. And 10 minutes later, you are
so carnal and so full of whatever. It's like how in the world did
you go from not wanting to leave your Bible
time to being a carnal, fleshly, flesh-controlled, flesh-operating
creature. Amen, don't let that be too convicting
on you. Amen, amen. Have you been, again, as preachers,
as I said oftentimes, is it just me? Am I the only one who struggles
with themself? You're reading your Bible and
you're like, you get, then you're like, wait a second. What did
I read? I hate to tell you, but there
was nowhere in my text that said Walmart. Nowhere in my text laid out a
grocery list. Sorry, nowhere in my list laid
out my work for the day. I'm not reading my Bible and
seeing all those things about the bills you gotta pay, what
you have to, so why is that in my mind when I was gonna read
my Bible? I just read about the crucifixion and what'd you get
out of that? Well, if I go to food line first,
I can go to the post office. And you catch yourself, don't
you? And honestly, when I look at
myself, it's like, well, that was a failure. I read my Bible. My mind was,
see, we don't realize how we can do two things at one time.
You did read it. You read every word. But your
mind was somewhere else while you were reading. That's why if you sat down and
write down what you got out of your Bible reading, and it's
all about your duties, your obligations, versus what
you actually got in the scripture. I don't know about you, but that's
pretty bad when I'm in my Bible, and what I get out of my Bible
is what I have to do outside my Bible. But I read my Bible. Failure. Go to pray. Have you ever tried to pray? I'm using that word meaning because
you didn't do very well. You did try, but it wasn't very
successful. Right? I tried. I went to my
prayer place, I got myself to pray, but in reality, if I stopped
and thought about what I actually said, or what I actually thought about. Being human, you get praying
for somebody, you start thinking about their life, then you start
thinking about this, which leads to this, which leads to that,
which leads to you being in China doing who knows what. You were praying about this,
well done, but how'd you end up all the way over there? and
you don't even know what you're saying. And now, okay, I'm giving
personal testimony, sorry. Then I catch myself and I'm like,
okay, what am I supposed to say now? I am way over there. What do
I say? Well, Lord, as I was saying,
no, somehow something got off track somewhere And I failed
in that one. I did, I tried, but I failed. But I'm glad in heaven there'll
be no more failure. Thank God, and I'm glad I won't remember
them either, hallelujah. But thank God as well, the self will
die and I'll have no more fears. Amen. I preach, I ain't afraid.
Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Amen, we all have
fears. And every one of us have different
fears. depending on your life, depending on what you're dealing
with right now. That apprehension, I'm not talking about you walking
around, hiding yourself in a closet so scared, but there's fears,
there's apprehension, there's anxiety, there's care. Amen. But I'm glad in heaven
there'll be no more fearfulness, no more walking afraid of what's
behind that rock over there. What happens if I open door number
two? I'm supposed to open door number one. Oh God help me. I'm gonna, yes
Lord, I'm gonna open that door and I'm gonna believe you. And
you turn the handle and while the door's opening, ah! And you go running down the hallway.
Why? I was scared. I didn't know what
was lurking behind that door. But in all my faith, I opened
the door. But my fear took over running down the hallway. Amen. Amen. Well, Miss Sophie gets
it, amen. Amen. Notice this one closing,
okay. No, it's not closing. I'm sorry,
we got two more. Okay. Number five, grace. You ready? The comfort
of heaven is when you get to heaven is a place, listen carefully,
where you are desired. by the saints. Right now, the Bible said, we
see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know
in part, but then I shall know, even as also I am known. Amen. Amen. You may not think you're
known down here, except being known, but unknown. But when
you get to heaven, you are already known. And you're welcome. Amen. Oh, help me, Lord Jesus,
amen. You are either severely not right
with God or you are severely lost when you cannot welcome
a child of God into your presence. I said a child of God. Amen,
amen. Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. Something not right. when a professed
child of God cannot welcome into their presence a child of God.
Something's wrong. Either restoration, forgiveness,
salvation, something needs to happen. Amen. When you get to
heaven, I promise you, you don't have to worry about going through
the pearly gates and hoping somebody will be glad you're there. The man of God's concern in the
meeting was that his name has been smeared so much that probably
no one will show up. When you get to heaven, that's
not gonna be the problem. See, because in heaven, everyone
understands what they were. And they understand forgiveness.
There are no, understanding before they went to heaven, they were
not perfect people. Even saved, they weren't perfect,
they still had, amen, when you read about their lives and things
they did, they were no perfect people outside of Jesus Christ.
Amen, so everyone who's gone to heaven has gone as an imperfect
person who's been forgiven by God. Amen, so there's nobody
in heaven that's better than you. See, when you get to heaven,
there'll be nobody that's a celebrity. There's no any one Christian
who's being set apart than all the rest as being superior. We've
all come by the way of the cross. We've all come as wicked viles,
sins, repenting of our sins, putting faith in Jesus Christ.
We've all had our sins under the blood. We all realize what
I am is only because of Jesus and by Jesus. So in heaven, there's
no celebrities. There's no cliques. Amen. Yeah, whatever, amen. I get so weary of this stupid
trash, amen. A clique is always being led
by a lost person. I say they're all lost people.
Some of the lost person's leading that clique. When you're purposely
isolating from other people, there's no place for cliques
in church and there'll be no cliques in heaven. There won't be, amen. Amen. Amen. I tell you, I was a little
bit surprised last night. We were leaving, were you with,
who was with me when I was leaving the auditorium? Was that you? Or
was it you? Or was it you? When they were moving the pews
around. That was you. That was Brother Bill. I'm working
my way through, amen. Okay, and that one boy, he's
always very friendly and nice. The other one's a little quiet.
But I was very surprised at his response And man, thank y'all
for coming, so good to see you. And I was like, oh yeah. Because I thought he was just
whatever. And I'm like, okay, I'm seeing a side of you I haven't
seen before. I like it. I like it. I like seeing those
parts of people you don't always get to see. Amen, because there's
no cliques. I'm part of this group and I'm
part of that group. Thank God in heaven we'll all be together. There'll be no separation of
the brethren. I'm all for biblical separation,
amen. If someone's not right, you have
to pull apart. But I think too many times people pull apart
because they don't like the color of their shoes or the color of
their suit or they don't operate just like we do and stuff, blah,
blah, blah, blah, blah. A lot of prejudice, a lot of
judgmental spirits, a lot of better than everyone else because
we just do it, oh, just get over it, get over yourself, amen.
Amen, God's people ought to be able to get along with each other
and not feel strange among each other and feel like there's something
wrong with you and nonsense, that's crazy. Amen, amen, amen,
amen, amen, amen. To treat a brother because he's
done something that you've never done. Amen, boy, amen, amen, amen. Well, glory to God, amen, amen. So in heaven, you'll be desired
by the saints. You do remember the Bible tells
about being surrounded by great coddled witnesses. Who do you
think they are? Where do you think they are?
Now, I don't know what they're allowed to see. They said there's
a cloud of witnesses. I don't know what they're allowed
to see, how often they can see, but when you get to heaven, you
know who's there is that cloud of witnesses. And you'll be known
even as you are known. Hey, Brother Peter, how do you
know me? Who have you been talking to?
No, because Peter knows everyone else. I'm known as I'm known. Don't it be wonderful to actually
have people who actually welcome you? They won't look at you like. Go down the other aisle, because
you're in that aisle. Oh, I'm gonna tie my shoe. You're
not tying your shoe. Why can't you look at a brother?
Why can't you look at the sister? Amen. I'm not talking about the
issues of having to separate. We're talking about just the
basic Christian life attitude with the brethren. It's a shame. It's a shame. When
you've got Christians that act worse than sinners when it comes
to interacting with each other. People that won't forgive you
for something you did 10 years ago. brother. I heard him say
this too. How long ago is that? 10 years
ago. Oh, okay. And you still remember that from
10 years ago. Have you talked to him about
it? Nope. But you know about it. You're
acting or whatever for 10 years ago and people can't change in
10 years. Amen, I'll tell you something,
amen. It's like Brother Young said the other day, it depends
on the season you get with people. What they're going through. See,
here's the thing I've dealt with people. If I'm up there preaching,
and I'm preaching on something, I'm continuing what I preached
the other day, okay? If I talk about anything about
repentance or faith, but I just preached about it, I'm not gonna
go into full contextual elaboration of what I just preached about.
But if someone hears that and not realize I'm just summarizing,
oh, he doesn't believe in this or he's this or he's that. No,
you're taking one little part of what was said, just like the
wicked do, and making a judgment on them. Oh, they're liberal
because they said this. Do you know the whole story? No. So
don't make a summary on a person based on one statement. Well,
he's a Calvinist because he said this. No, he just didn't have
time to give you his whole dissertation of all he believes. Then you're
gonna complain how long he preached. There's no winning with people
like that. Amen. So you may just live your
life for God and not worry about all those type of people in your
life, but thank God in heaven, it'll be people who will actually
welcome you. They'll actually celebrate your coming. Think
about this. God said in Zephaniah that I
will rejoice over thee with singing. The same God that said, Jesus
said himself that there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels
over one sinner that repented. Did you do that? Did you do that? If you did,
that means there was rejoicing over you when you got saved. Unless Jesus was a liar. Huh? They're rejoicing more in heaven
over one sinner that repents. And remember that time, they're
all in paradise. So God's the one shouting. Because
it's in the presence of the, I've heard songs where the angels,
yeah, they might, but it was the presence of the angels. It
was God rejoicing. Wait a minute, Jesus told that
scribe to go out and preach. When they came back, he said,
how'd it go? They said, oh, the devil's a subject unto us. We
were casting out devils, healing the sick. All them devils had
to bow to our will. And Jesus said, you ought not
rejoice over that. You ought to rejoice because your name's
written in the book of life. And Jesus, in that hour, rejoiced
in spirit. Over what? Their names are in
the book of life. Amen, he was rejoicing because they were saved. There's rejoicing over you when
you got saved. So you telling me there'll be
more excitement over you getting saved than you coming home? Amen, amen, amen, amen. You let
a child be somewhere for years and years and years and years.
Okay, can you imagine, I don't care how right with God he is,
but if you didn't see him for 15 years, then he came walking
in the door. How stoic are you gonna be? Oh,
blessed be thou, my son. How sweet of you to decide to
stop by to see your dear mother. Now I'm talking, you've kept
a good relationship, You've talked and you've done, but you haven't
seen him physically. You haven't seen him. You haven't held your
son. 15 years. And he was walking in the door.
Out of the way. Everybody out of the way. Mama's
coming, boy. Amen. I don't care how much you
say, well, mama, come on now. I'm a grown man now. No, no,
no. And he'd be the same way. Mama! and there would be a grand celebration,
and I promise you, those around are gonna know. There's been
a reunion over at that house. Now that's us on earth. If you
understand the love God has for you, you can't tell me he's not
gonna be excited to see you. He was excited when you got saved,
but he was just kinda like, huh? All right, just give him that
card, the house is down the street. If you have any problems, let
us know. If you can't find your way, ask
one of these people on the street, they'll be glad to help you. I just don't
believe that. I think there's gonna be a celebration
every time a child of God comes home. Every time, every time,
every time, every time. Well, preacher, what if you're
not right with God? Can I remind you of the story of the prodigal? In the picture of the father,
that when he saw his son a great way off, who had not yet been
restored to the father, And you thank a holy, righteous,
loving God who gave his life for you. Won't be glad to see
you. Amen, amen, amen, amen. So think about the cloud, think
about Christ, and the welcome you'll get in heaven. You're
not gonna go to heaven and have to drop your head. I'm just so
and so. When y'all were singing that
song today about Well, just in time, that's what it was. Talk
about that thief on the cross. And while you're saying that,
I was in my mind seeing that, even tonight. You got a testimony
to tell. Someone gets to heaven. Let me
tell you something. You wanna talk about just in
time? I was hanging on the cross, I was going to hell, I was moments
away from hell, but the Jesus hanging on that cross spoke to
my heart, saved my soul, it just, I mean just in time. What happened
to you? Amen. Oh, desired by the saints. Let me say this tonight. You
may not be wanted down here, but they're not wanted up there. Amen, there'll be a welcome.
There'll be worship together. Together, worshiping together
the Lamb of God. Amen, amen. And perhaps, I don't
have Bible for all this, but just wondering about being a
witness and wondering if you have a chance to tell your story. Well, here's the thing we don't
understand. Let me pose a question to you, okay? You get to heaven
and you actually meet Brother John. Is that gonna satisfy you? John,
you mean John as in John the beloved? Well, that's what they
called me. You mean John the one who laid
on Jesus' bosom? John, John, John, I mean John
the one who wrote about, for God so loved the world. Yeah,
that's me, that's me. John, wow. John, would you mind telling
me? See, we can see ourselves doing that, can't we? But you
don't see someone wanting to know yours, do you? But what makes you want to ask
John? He knows Christ. How'd you meet
Christ? How'd you get saved? But we're
not that important. You're a child of God. If you
have a testimony, I promise you, the child of God wants to hear
it. Amen, amen, amen. If someone
doesn't want to hear a testimony, something's wrong. Amen, amen. If you don't want to tell your
testimony, something's wrong. Glory, amen. I love hearing people
talk how they get saved. What a blessing, amen. whether
you're the drunk on the street or the kid on the pew. Thank
God for deliverance, amen. Amen, it'll be a time, amen,
to perhaps hopefully share our story. Lastly and most importantly,
amen, heaven, the comfort of heaven is it'll be a place of
the display of the Savior. It's all about him. Everything
is centered around the throne of God with the Lamb of God.
He's the lamb, he's the Lord, he's the light, he's the life,
he's everything you'll ever need. Amen. And heaven is gonna be
him. And we're gonna see him as he
is. Faith finally becomes sight for us, amen. The time we've
been longing for. Again, thank God for heaven.
Thank God for the street. Thank God for the gate. Thank
God for the walls. Thank God for all that heaven
is. But heaven is nothing without him. How empty. How hollow. Wouldn't exist, it'd
be like a prison cell. Honestly, I saved you and go
stay over there and just, okay. Calling Esther, the king hasn't
even sent for me these 30 days. Heaven's not a prison cell. God
himself will be in our midst. He will be the temple there.
Interaction, who's wiping your tears away? All this is God's
interacting with us in heaven, not giving you stuff to stay
away from him. Amen, again, honestly, who cares,
really, in reality? Who cares about the mansion if
you don't have the Messiah? Thank you Lord for everything
you've given me, But if I had this and not, no,
I'd rather have you than this. Heaven would not be heaven without
Christ. So the time will finally come, we will get to behold him
in all of his glory. See, all you know is he says
he was in heaven, but you read about his life on earth. The day will come you get to
see him in all of his splendor and glory. You get to see the
wounds in his hands. fully realizing all that he did
for us. Amen. And anything of heaven that's
beauty, it goes back to him. Amen. You get to behold him,
and then you will get to bless him. Amen. Amen, amen. I think I might have a hard time
expressing myself. And the Lord just goes, my child.
My child. And you look at that hand, and
you see that wound. that he did for you. That's why the four and 20 elders
are always falling on their face. Even the angels don't understand
all of that, but they see what happened. Those same angels that
saw that night when he came to the manger in Bethlehem. And
they announced and they sang and they worshiped about the
coming of the Lord. The same ones who watched him
be crucified and wondered what in the world was going on. But
then watched him when he came up out of the grave and made
his way back into heaven and went into the temple and knew
something had never been done before. They may not understand it, but
they comprehend what's going on. and then these people start
showing up. Amen. These things that they
realize, these people are the redeemed. We may not be able
to sing their song, but we got our own song. Amen. We read in Revelation how many
times those angels are the ones bursting out into worship. The
angels listen up their voice and praise, holy, holy, holy,
and then we pick up and resound with them and the sound is gonna
be unbelievable. All the untold millions of people
in heaven praising God, the angels praising God, glory, glory, the
cherubim and the seraphim, glory, glory, hallelujah. Amen, it'll
all be about him. Every bit of it will be him.
and we'll finally get to see him face to face. See, right
now, that's what we long for. Oh, I wanna see him. I don't
know what he looks like, but I wanna see him. And one day,
you'll see him as he is, not as you imagined, not as you pictured. Hey, man! Glory. That, to me,
is a comfort. And one day, I'll get to see
him. And all that we've been through, Amen, amen. I'm not gonna be the pastor of
heaven, okay? But until we get to heaven, I
may just look at you and say, hit it. And he starts singing,
it's been worth every mile. Lord, it's been worth it. Lord, it was worth it. Every
trial, every mile. Lord, there were those who told
me, I'll go with you all the way, but I turned and they're
gone, leaving me standing all alone, but I was not alone. God, you were there with me all
the time, all the way, amen, from birth to death to glory,
amen. God, you were with me the whole
time. Bless your holy name. It was
worth it, amen. Every mile, every trial, every
tear, every bit of heartache, God, it was worth it. Just to
see your face. Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, glory. Hallelujah. Amen. Ha! Yeah. I said, now hit
that other song. I'm on the winning side. Woo!
Amen. And then I look at the rest of
y'all. Y'all wouldn't mind, would you,
just a minute. Would y'all mind singing that song about no regrets? Can you? So we sing it down here
by faith. But you actually see him. Lord,
no regrets. God, what do I have? What can
I compare to you and what you are? Amen, there's nothing in
my life I can look at and say, oh, no, thank you, Lord, I have
no regret, amen. I look back on nothing and say,
I wish differently. God bless you, I honor you, I
glorify you, I praise you tonight, amen. Amen, amen, amen! It's worth it tonight, child
of God! It's worth it! I say glory, bless
his holy name. Bless his holy name. Amen. Amen. Oh, oh, oh. By faith, I can see it. I can't wait to taste it. Oh, mercy. Amen. Remember he
knoweth. I knowest. When you walk into
heaven and see that one that knows. Amen. Amen. I'm just trying to picture for
you based on my Bible and personal experience what I believe God
is like. When you walk into heaven, escorted
by those angels. Amen. And Jesus himself meets
you. He says, come here, my child. Oh, Lord, I can't imagine. Can
you imagine you getting to heaven and God pulling you aside and
looking at you and saying, Thank you for believing me. Thank you for receiving me. Thank
you for living for me. Oh, time out, I'll be back. Amen, amen. I know what's up,
we don't know. But knowing our loving God. Amen,
when you've been through the toils and the troubles and sorrow,
I can see God loving in his welcome. Amen. I'm not trying to portray
God in any human way, but to me, picturing a father with a
child coming home and knowing thou knowest, you know what I've
been through. You know what I've gone through.
You know what I've endured. You know the heartache and the
pain And God knows how you tried. You tried, you really did try
to honor him in your heartache. Thank you, my child. See, we
think well done's only for that guy that had 3,000 in his church
and this many saved and that many saved. But if you honor
him, he will honor you. Amen. If not, who cares? Just to see him. It'll make it worth every mile
of the trip. Amen. So tonight, let heaven
be a comfort. Amen. Thank God. Amen. Thank God we're leaving soon.
Hallelujah. Bless the Lord this evening.
Let's stand together. Oh, Lord, thank you, Father.
Oh, glory. Bless your sweet name. Oh, mercy. Oh, God help us.
