Get a Grip on Eternal Life

Christianity is for contestants, not spectators; players, not commentators. We live in enemy territory, and the god of this world simply will not honor a believer’s attempt to be neutral. "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…”(1 Timothy 6:12, NKJV). We know we’re fighting the wrong battle when we become contentious, proud and self-righteous toward the perishing world around us. Ours is the fight of faith. Our battle requires a tight grip on our privileges as God’s children, and the priorities of God’s eternal kingdom. In this sermon, the challenge is to “Get a grip on eternal life.”
