morning. Almost made it through
another week. Well, I have a question for you
this morning and that is, where do we go to find the truth? Where
do we go to find the truth? Not to the internet. Not to YouTube. Not to X. find a lot of lies on YouTube,
find a lot of lies on X. Where do we go to find the truth? Proverbs 35, 30 verse 5, every
word of God is pure. Every word of God is pure. He's
a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Jesus Christ said, I am the way,
the truth, and the life. Psalm 11, in the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1 Thessalonians 2.13 For this cause
also thank we God without ceasing, because when you received the
word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the
word of men, but as it was in truth the word of God, which
effectually worketh also in you that believe. 2 Corinthians 2.17 For we are not
as many which corrupt the word of God, but as of sincerity,
but as of God in the sight of men. Let us try this again. For we are not as many which
corrupt the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God
in the sight of God speak we in Christ. Psalm 5610, In God will I praise
His Word, in the Lord will I praise His Word. Acts 19.20, So mightily
grew the Word of God and prevailed. 1 Timothy 4.5, It is sanctified
by the Word of God and prayer. Acts 12.24, But the Word of God
grew and multiplied. 2 Timothy 2.9 Worry and I suffer
trouble as an evildoer, even unto bonds, but the word of God
is not bound. Luke 11.28 But he said, Yea,
rather blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep
it. 2 Timothy 2.15 Study to show thyself
approved unto God a workman, that needeth not to be ashamed
rightly, dividing the word of truth. Romans 10.17 So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Luke 4, 4, and Jesus answered
him saying, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word of God. Well, a lot of people put tradition
over the word of God, don't they? You know, you've heard the joke
about the lady that kept cutting the end of the roast off before she put it in
her pan. They asked, why do you do that?
She said, well, that's the way my mom always did it. She always
cut the end of it. Come to find out, her mother
had a smaller pan. The traditions of men. Mark 7, 13, making the word of
God an un-effect through your tradition which you have delivered,
and many such like things do you. 1 Peter 1, 23, being born
again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the
word of God which liveth and abideth forever. You know, all
of these new corrupt translations of the Bible, including the Living
Bible, the New International Version, all these new versions, corrupted
versions, where they take out large portions of scripture and
add things to the scripture, not to add to or take away from
the word of God. You know, in fact there's a scripture
revelation that says that there's not to add to or take away from
the word of God. The Word of God is mentioned
thousands of times in the Bible. Titus 1.3, But hath in due times
manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according
to the commandment of God our Savior. The Bible tells us that scripture
cannot be broken. John 10.35. Revelation 19.13, and he was
clothed with the vesture dipped in blood, and his name is called
the Word of God. Psalm 18.13, As for God, His
way is perfect. The Word of the Lord is tried.
He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him. 1 John 2.5 But whosoever keepeth
his word in him barely is the love of God perfected. Hereby
know that we are in him. 1 Kings 8.26 And now, O God of
Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou
spakest unto thy servant David my father. Acts 13.44 The next Sabbath day
came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Isaiah 40 verse 8 The grass withereth,
the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever. Revelation 1-2 who bear record
of the Word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and
of all the things that he saw. Well, you know, I don't think a person can spend
too much time studying the Word of God and dwelling on it. The Bible says that thy word
is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. It's the only place we can go
to find truth. You know? The old saying goes that history
was written by those who lived to tell about it. There's a lot
of fake history out there written in the history books. Because the people that wrote
it are the ones that lived to tell about it. People that are
dead, they can't speak. So there's a lot of liars in
history. A lot of bad, bad blood out there who have written history
books. Acts 17.39, when the Jews of
Thessalonica had knowledge that the Word of God was preached
to Paul, they came thither also and stirred up the people. You
know, when you start proclaiming the Word of God and it's true,
people get stirred up, don't they? I don't know how many different
versions of translations and expositions I've heard regarding
the 9th chapter of Romans. I'll take that out of context. Well, I'm glad we have a source
for truth in a world of social media. Acts 13, 26. Men and brethren,
children of the stock of Abraham, whomsoever among you feareth
God, to you is the word of his salvation sent. The reason a lot of people don't
believe the word of God is the Bible tells us all men have not
faith. All men have not faith. Take the helmet of salvation,
the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Jeremiah 15, 16, thy words were
found, and I did eat them, and thy word was unto me the joy
and rejoicing of my heart. For I am called by thy name,
O Lord, God of hosts. Sometimes I'll have the radio
on, there'll be a minister preaching, and I don't know what corrupted
version he's reading, but I'll listen to his reading, his corrupted
version of the Scripture, and I just have to shake my head. Wow. That's the Bible? I think not. I think not. And I get a lot of pushback because
I proclaim the King James Version of the Bible as the Word of God.
You know? I don't have to have original
Hebrew text or original Greek text to have the Word of God. It's been a faithful text for
the last 400 years. I'm going to hold on to it. Acts 13, 46, Then Paul and Barnabas
waxed bold and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first
have been spoken to you, but seeing you put it from you and
judge yourself unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turned to the Gentiles. For the word of God is quick
and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the dividing center of soul and spirit, and of the joints
of marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart. Deuteronomy 4.2 You shall not
add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish
it from it. that you may keep the commandments
of the Lord your God, which I command you." Well, there's a lot of
things in the Bible that people don't like. You know, I can just
name a few things they don't like. They don't like the scripture,
Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. They don't like, hath
not the pot or power over the clay to make one clump unto honor
and one unto dishonor. They don't like the scripture,
let the women be silent in the churches. They certainly don't
like that. They don't like the scripture
that says that for the children being not yet
born, not having done any good or evil that the purpose of God
according to election might stand. They don't like the scripture
that says he works all things after the counsel of his own
will. A lot of people don't like the
first verse in the Bible, in the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth. Psalm 119, 154. Plead my cause
and deliver me, quicken me according to thy words. Well, you know, there's so much
that we can learn from studying the Word of God. Psalm 119, 50. This is
my comfort in my affliction, for thy Word hath quickened me. Psalm 119, 114, Thou art my hiding
place and my shield, I hope in Thy Word. Well, this morning, let us continue
in the Word of God and let us realize that the only truth can
be found in Christ and His Word. May the good Lord be with you
today in a special way is my prayer. God bless.
