The letter to the church of Sardis: The Dead and Dying Church

G.K. Beale summarizes Christ's letter to His lampstand in Sardis:
"Christ condemns the church in Sardis for its lack of witness and its compromise and exhorts it to overcome this in order to inherit the blessings of salvation life." We might add that Christ implies the church has lost its spiritual life and must seek and depend on the Holy Spirit revival and the life of Christ.
