pockets and everything else. So as soon as they're finished
at the trough, I better not say that. I don't know who's back
there. As soon as those wonderful brethren are finished, I'm sure
they'll be moseying in. We're glad you're here this morning
and welcome you. I hope you brought your pencils
and paper and notebook and all that kind of stuff and your listening
abilities. We've got some good speakers
and things on. If you haven't been here all
through the week, I encourage you to get the, I don't know
what they are, DVDs, CDs. What's the anacronym? DVD. Okay. Do we do CDs anymore? I'm still 8 tracks. I just remember when you used
to take it out and bang it so it wouldn't skip. Anyway, pick those
up. They'll be a benefit to you.
Doug Stauffer is going to begin us this morning. He's studying
the attacks and I guess in particular looking at the new. The new new
or the new? The new. The blue sparkles one.
Okay. Everything that happens in this process, if you've been
in the ministry long enough, you'll realize that the devil
doesn't work with explosives. He works with erosion. And he
just slowly but surely takes a little and a little and a little
and a little and then it's gone. And this is another example of
the new, the next round of erosion. I just counted out five guys.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I'm gonna need 20. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 15, 16, going back one more, 17, 18, 19, and one more is 20. Raise your hand if you're
in the 20. You guys are chosen. Oh, put

Just the 20 I counted. OK, look, if there's 21, just
stand up here without a Bible. Go ahead and bring those up.
This is going to be at the end of the service. Oh, no, no, no. Everybody else

to read as a congregation before that. And we'll read the verse.
So you will not be confused. Everything's marked. Let me go

to be reading because you're going to be reading a modern perversion, but that's what you're
supposed to be reading. You will read that in unison

read it because there's going to be 20 different versions. We
read it as a congregation, you're going to see the contrast. Alright,

I only had one in the back seat. And I turned around and this
is what I saw. I mean, I was flying. It was great. It was great. Now
we're to the serious part. This is the serious part, because
I want to go ahead and get started. It's the 400th anniversary of
the King James Bible. I'm going to deal with the new
King James perversion. And first I want to look, and
that's why I need that thing that says the slides are, this
is all new in this presentation, that says the slides are coming
up, because I already forgot that I put Richard Dawkins in
here. How many know who Richard Dawkins is? Yes, he's an atheist. Now I'm not going to What happens
when the screen goes blank, brother? You know, it times out. Helpless. Helpless. Richard Dawkins is
an evolutionary biologist. He's the original signer of the
Humanist Manifesto 3. And he admitted he was disappointed
he didn't top the bidding on that Albert Einstein letter that
sold for $400,000. He didn't say what he bid on
it, but he didn't bid $400,000. He said this, though. He said,
in a way, I'm delighted that such a thing should be so highly
valued to prove that Einstein was an atheist and did not believe
in the Bible, did not believe in God. If you were here Monday
morning, that was in my presentation. Dawkins is a very smart guy,
and this is what I want you to understand. Listen, he's a smart guy. He's
lost. Going to hell, he's an atheist.
Einstein, the man of the century, he was smart. He died and went
to hell according to his testimony in the letter. And in this King
James issue debate, there are smart guys on the other side.
I just don't want us to think, well, you know, just a bunch
of stupid people. No, they're not. There are stupid people on our
side, too. But there are smart guys on both sides. That's my
point on part of this. But he's also going to talk about
the King James Bible. Dawkins himself says, we live
in a universe which has no design, no purpose, no evil and no good. That's dumb. Nothing but blind,
pitiless indifference. Wow. There's your hope. Your
hope is in evolution. Your hope is in no God because
that's where it leads you. He goes on to say that Darwin
made it possible to be intellectually fulfilled atheists. Yeah, Darwin
backed down on his things, too. He wrote that in The Blind Watchmaker
in 1986, page 6. In his book, United Lecture,
Edinburgh Science Festival, 1992, he said, faith is the great cop-out,
the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of,
even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence. Faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Yeah, OK. By faith, I believe that there's
a God. I've never seen him. I've seen
his creation. It's pretty magnificent. But
I've never seen God. By faith, I believe that. I don't
need evidence. You don't need to show me the
footprint of God, even if I have the fingerprint of God right
here. OK, you don't have to show me that. But he goes on in The
Humanist, Volume 50. That's him with a Christmas tree.
I don't understand that. Christmas Christ. And I know,
for those of you that are really technical people, I know Jesus
was not born on December 25th. You've got to say that amongst
Bible believers sometimes. I mean, oh, you've got a Christmas
tree? Don't you know it's the bale pole? Yeah, I understand
about the Christmas tree and all that, but even an atheist
can have one. Why can't we? Just enjoy yourself. Sit back. Hit the recliner. You know, get
away from the remote. Let's just put it in overdrive. Like my dog in the back seat.
By the way, that was not my dog. I have a black one, a white one,
and a brown one that change colors of every suit I've ever worn.
Literally, I have a white boxer, black dog, and a brown dog, and
they're not my dogs. I got out of the dog business
because I was on the road, and my one came by the house. My daughter
wanted him. She must have fed him something because he never
left the porch again. Then she had puppies. I have two then,
because they all die but one, and the one's this big. My wife
gets up in the middle of the night like a baby, feeds it back
to life. And I have two dogs. My daughter wants to buy a white
boxer. Okay, you're going to move out soon. I have three dogs. And I love all
of them. I'm a dog lover, but not one
of those kind. You know, they're so nuts on
the thing. Richard Dawkins, in the Lanny Swerdlow show, my short
interview with Richard Dawkins, he said, you cannot be both sane
and well-educated and disbelieve in evolution. I am both sane,
and for some, they would classify me as well-educated. And I do
not believe in evolution. So that's not true. Just because
you're educated doesn't mean you have to believe in evolution.
And I think we've allowed them to control the debate in those
areas. The evidence is so strong that any saying that's not what
I'm reading. Wow, it's fashionable to wax
apocalyptic about the threat to humanity posed by the AIDS
virus, mad cow disease, and many others. But I think a case can
be made that faith is one of the world's greatest evils, comparable
to the smallpox virus, but harder to eradicate. He is not opinionated
at all. He goes on and he says, you cannot
be both sane and well-educated and disbelieve in evolution.
The evidence is so strong that any sane, educated person has
got to believe in evolution. I do not agree with that. Here's
an article that just came out. Atheist Christopher Hitchens
admits admiration for the timeless King James Bible. He said, though
I am sometimes reluctant to admit it, there really is something
timeless in the Tyndale-King James synthesis, said Hitchens
in his commentary featured Vanity Fair. For generations, it provided
a common stock of references and allusions rivaled only by
Shakespeare in this respect. He's got more respect for the
King James than the modern version proponents. That's a shame. And listen, if that's you, you
ought to be ashamed that an atheist has better things to say about
God's Word than you do. So he goes on, and this is all
from the article, it's repeatedly stated that he would not convert
even on his deathbed. Hitchens is currently battling
stage 4 esophageal cancer. You know what we need to do?
And we're going to do it right now. We're going to pray for
him. Let's pray. Lord, we thank you
and we thank you for salvation. We thank you for the creation
of everything that we see. We thank you for sending your
Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, to come to
this earth, to take on the form of human flesh, Lord. to become
a man in human form. And Lord, we just pray for Mr. Hitchings, Lord Dr. Hitchings.
Lord, we just pray for this man. He's confused, he's educated,
and he's deluded. Lord, we just pray you'd open
up his heart, open up his life, help him to get saved. Lord,
not so he could be a trophy for us, but a trophy for you. In Jesus' name, amen. And listen,
that's the way. We don't need to be totally disrespectful
to these guys. I tell it like it is sometimes.
Still, he relented when it came to honoring the King James Bible,
which was first published in 1611. He goes on, but the best-selling
author went further to criticize other translations of the Bible
and ongoing attempts to update it. Can you imagine? He's done
more, you know, for our cause. And they go, well, you're keyed
up with the atheists. And now we're with the Mormons,
too. You know, they use the King James sometimes. You know, come
on. Guilt by association. Anybody ever experience any of
that? I'll bet. Offering one comparison, Hitchens
cited a passage in the New Testament, Book of Philippians, which he
read at his father's funeral. It says this in the King James.
This is what he read. Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report. If there be any virtue,
if there be any praise, think on these things. And that's what
he read at his father's funeral. So there's hope that the Word
of God would spark something in him. Here's what he criticized. He goes on to criticize the English,
contemporary English version, ESV. And he says this, finally,
my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right,
holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about
what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise. I couldn't
preach that. I couldn't preach that. Whatsoever
is pure, whatsoever is lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report, there be any virtue, there be any praise, think on
these things. You can preach that. But you
can't preach true, pure, right, holy, friendly and proper. Think
on these things. I'd have to do one of yours. Think on these
things. You wonder who I was looking at. Don't worry about
it. It's a joke. Hitchens called the contemporary version pancake
flat. More suited for a basement meeting
of AA. Not that we need to make fun
of the basement AA meetings. But that's what he said, and
I agree with him. He also rejected the gender neutral language of
substituting brethren with my friends calling it slightly ingratiating
obeisance. He's smarter than I am. To suggest
that St. Paul of all people was gender
neutral is to rewrite the history as well as to rinse out the prose,
Hitchens noted. Wow, that's strong. Gender unspecific
singulars and plurals such as that person and they in place
of masculine singulars like he or him or he. That's what he's
talking about there. A culture that does not possess
this common store of image and allegory will be a perilously
thin one. To seek restlessly to update
it or make it relevant is to miss the point like yearning
for a hip-hop Shakespeare," he wrote. Man is born in trouble
as the sparks fly upward, says the book of Job. Want to try
to improve that for Twitter? This is him. The atheist who
doesn't believe in God believes more in the Bible than some of
these yahoos that we've been talking about. Like, you know,
James White and them. I don't mean to pick on James
White, but he's an easy target. The King James only controversy.
You know, this book is not against the King James Bible. What I'm reading. In the end,
Hitchin's note of praise for the King James Bible's grief
ended with his unwavering belief that religion, and I even agree
with this, religion is man-made with inky human fingerprints
all over it. And then, you've got to watch
this, supposedly inspired and unalterable text. You know why
he's an atheist? It's because they've altered
the text and he has no trust in a Bible that is not altered. They are doing such damage. It
is inestimable the damage that they are doing. I'm trying to
talk like Hitchings, so I sound as educated as our doctor there.
And I was going to go into the atom and all that, but let me
just give you one thing on the atom, the electron-proton. You
know, the whole thing ought to blow apart. Brother Gip mentioned
that. And I won't go into explaining it. Hopefully you understand
how it all works. But they didn't understand. They thought the
atom was supposed to be the smallest part. And again, I'm getting
into more of what I want to get into. Let me do this. Let me just tell
you what. They call the force that holds together the protons,
because two positive forces ought to repel, but the protons are
held together. You know what they call that?
They call it the strong force. We know that all things are held
together by Jesus Christ. And by Him all things consist.
That's the verse that you quoted, and that's correct. By Him all
things consist. And now I have got to fly. Alright,
here we're going to look at the New King James Version. We're
going to look at just these five. First, New World Translation
1970, NIV 73, New King James 79, New Century Version 87, Contemporary
English Version 95. I'm going to look at 13 points. Number one, too superstitious
or very religious? And I'm going to have to fly
us to put your sneakers on. Not that that will help you fly,
but it helps you go faster. Then Paul stood in the midst
of Mars Hill and said, you men of Athens, I perceive that in
all things you are too superstitious. That's the King James Bible.
What does the NIV say? Very religious. The very thing
that turned off hitchings about religion, which is man-made,
is what they're telling you that was in the Bible. No, they were
too superstitious. You can be very religious about
something and it's okay. I'm very religious about attending
church. I'm very religious at times in my life about witnessing. In other words, I just, I try
to do it, you know, but too superstitious is what he was rebuking. New
King James, peas in a pod, just like the NIV, very religious.
Why? When the New King James differs from the King James,
going away from the Textus Receptus and the Masoretic Text, it goes
over into the modern version text, the Sinaiticus, Vaticanus,
the Westcott and Hort text. That's what it goes to when it
differs from the King James. That's why it'll match these
modern versions. When you look at it, the New Century version,
very religious. Why do they all say the same
thing? Because they all come from the same source. I'm not talking
about Satan, I'm talking about the modern version Bibles are
coming from the same Greek and Hebrew text sources. Contemporary
English version, very religious. Number two, Christ will sit on
David's throne, or will he? Acts 2, verse 30, Therefore,
being a prophet, knowing that God has sworn with an oath to
him that of the fruit of his loins According to the flesh,
he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne. Raise up Christ.
What is that? That's the kingdom. That's Christ
sitting on the throne of David in the millennium yet to come.
Praise God, it's going to happen soon. Amen. Here's what it says
in the New World Translation, and I wish I had it with me so
I could throw it to you and you can look at it yourself. Therefore,
because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him
with an oath, that he would seat one from the fruitage of his
loins upon his throne. You know why they're a captive
audience? Captive by Him at His will, the
devil does. You know why they're a captive
audience? Because that's what their truth resides in. That's
what they're trusting in right there. You look at the NIV. The NIV says one of His descendants
will sit on His throne. One of His descendants. Well,
duh. Solomon? Wasn't he one of His
descendants? No, it is a prophetic announcement
of Jesus Christ. That's what Acts 2.30 is talking
about. He'll raise up Christ from the
dead to sit on the throne of David. That's what the prophecy
was about. What do they got? The seed from
the fruitage of his loins, one of his descendants. Yeah, one
of his descendants, but it's Christ. And then the new King
James just changed it, raised up the Christ. You got the new
century version. A person from David's family. No wonder Hitchens stays an atheist. Contemporary English version,
someone from his family. Is that the same thing? They're
just updating the language, understand. This is in this is all in my
one book stands alone, by the way. They're just updating the
language. No, they're not. No, they're not. No, they're
not. They're changing the word of
God. And that's why you've got people like Hitchens that stay
lost. Number three, hell, Hades, or
simply the grave. Now this one is going to get very interesting
in the NIV. And I know that because I remember, I've changed it.
And I should be able to see it across the bottom of the screen,
but I can't. Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, Acts
227, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to seek corruption. Jesus, here it is, Jesus, when
he died on the cross, he went to hell. His soul was not left
in hell because on that same day, and I don't think it took
very long at all, he went to hell, and on that same day he
went across that great gulf that he told the rich man about, Abraham
did. went across that great gulf into
paradise that was in the heart of the earth at the time. Nobody
went to heaven apart from Jesus Christ. That's why everybody
had to go into paradise in the heart of the earth until Christ
died. Quote me on this. Nobody went to heaven apart from
the blood of Jesus Christ. They went to paradise first.
Jesus said, this day, to the thief on the cross, this day
thou shalt be with me in paradise. He spent three days and three
nights in the heart of the earth. Where did he go? He went over into
paradise and then he resurrected. That's what the resurrection,
he will raise up Christ and put him on the throne of David. That's
what that's talking about. This is talking about my soul
was not left in hell. It didn't stay in hell. He didn't
see any corruption. Here's what the New World Translation
says. Because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will
you allow your loyal one to see corruption. Hades. Hades. Now, is Hades hell or is it the
grave? Watch. NIV. Because you will
not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your holy one
see decay. You see what they've done there?
They changed hell to the grave. You talk about confusion, because
later on they're going to change it to something else, and we'll
see. Oh, here it is. I can't remember exactly how
I did this. Look at this. Here is the 2011
version in red. Because you will not abandon
me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy ones
see decay. See, they came out in 1984 in
the revision. From 1984 to today, they changed
hell to the grave. You talk about confusion? Oh,
and before that, 1973, they changed hell to the grave. So from 1973
in the NIV until 2011, I don't know, 24 years? I'm afraid to
do that, but let's just say it's almost 25. 24 years, they changed hell to the
grave. And now they realize, well, it's
really the realm of the dead. Now they have changed hell to
down there. But they told him for all these
years it was the grave. How confusing. New King James. For you will not leave my soul
in Hades, nor will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.
My soul in Hades. And see, he's talking about his
soul, so it couldn't have been the grave. New century version, because
you will not leave me in the grave. See, that's all just a
confusing mess. And this is terrible. You will
not let your Holy One rot. They have to make enough changes
to qualify for a copyright. They can't just keep putting
in their corruption. They have to change it. Terrible. It's not even a Bible. Contemporary
English version ends up here. The Lord won't leave me in the
grave. Again, the grave. Now you've
got hell, grave, Place of the dead, where is it? The Lord won't
leave me in the grave. I am his holy one and he won't
let my body decay. I have to keep changing the words.
Acts 2.31, he's seen this before, spake of the resurrection of
Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh
did see corruption. So his soul was not left in hell.
We're talking about hell again. New World Translation, he saw
beforehand, spoke concerning the resurrection of the dead,
that neither was he forsaken in Hades, nor did his flesh see
corruption. Now Hades is again replacing
hell. NIV, seeing what was ahead, he
spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned
to the grave, nor did his body see decay. Now what they've done
is they've changed hell to the grave and they left it there,
even though they changed the other one in the NIV 2011. They changed this one too. I
meant to make that point that way. Not really. Seeing what
was to come, so it isn't a head anymore, they had to change it
to qualify for a new copyright. He spoke of the resurrection
of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the
dead, nor did his body see decay. For all those years they changed
hell to the grave and left his soul in the grave. And now they
put him in the realm of the dead. New King James, he's still in
Hades. New century version, he's in
the grave. Contemporary English version,
he's in the grave. Terrible confusion. No wonder
the world stays lost. King James Bible, Luke 16, 23,
this is the third, still the third point. In hell he lifted
up his eyes, being in torment, seeth Abraham afar off. So he's
in torment, New World Translation. And in Hades, he lifted up his
eyes, he existing in torment, and he saw Abraham afar off,
and Lazarus in the bosom positioned with him. That's exactly what
it says. New King James, being in torment in Hades. New Century
Version, now it's the place of the dead. Place of the dead,
he was in much pain. That's probably going to convict
you if you want to go tell somebody about the torment that's going
to come upon them in hell. The place of pain, or much pain. Acts 16, 28, cry five brethren,
may it testify in them, lest they also come to this place
of torment, is a place of torment. New century version, it's a place
of pain. Huge difference. Torment is imposed
by an outside source. Contemporary English version,
let him warn my five brothers so they won't come to this horrible
place. That's terrible. That's hell he's talking about
there, that ought to be hell instead of just a horrible place
or a place of pain. 1 Corinthians 15, 55, O death,
where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
So now the King James talking about the grave and not hell.
New King James, O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where
is your victory? So see now, the new King James
has changed hell to Hades and also changed the grave to Hades. So the new King James, okay,
just updating into the modern language. Oh, you want to leave
people, when they die, they're going to Hades. Well, where's
Hades? Well, it's the grave. Oh, that's 1 Corinthians 15,
55. Well, it's hell. You know, Hades is hell. You
know, I can show you in Luke 16. No, you can't have it both
ways. They have it for both of them, and it's total confusion.
Here's the fourth point. Jesus accepts worship. Matthew
20, 20. Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children
with her sons, worshipping him. Nothing wrong with worshipping
Jesus. Desiring a certain thing of him. New World Translation. Then the mother of the sons of
Zebedee approached him with her sons, doing obeisance and asking
for something. Doing obeisance instead of worship.
I like worship. Then the mother of Zebedee's
sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor
of Him." Kneeling down, no longer worship. Just like we saw on
Monday, they stole the worship of Jesus Christ. That's the whole
point. You don't worship somebody that's
not God. They didn't believe He was God.
In page 114, John 9, 38 footnote in the revised version of 1901,
American Standard Version, they didn't believe that He was that.
So that's why you've got to feel the worship in the most modern
versions. New King James, then the mother of Zebedee's sons
came to him with her sons kneeling down. You can kneel down and
not worship, but you can't worship without worshipping. He got worshipped. New Century version. They bowed
before him. It just has to change all these
things. Contemporary English version. She knelt down and started
begging him to do something for her. Begging him. Not not worshiping. God laid
down his life, 1 John 3, 16, hereby proceed, we the love of
God, because he laid down his life for us and we ought to lay
down our lives for the brethren. God has he as a pronoun he the
antecedent is what it's God. When you have a pronoun, you
have an antecedent. The first antecedent back is God. So who laid down
their life? It was God Almighty. We know it was Jesus Christ,
but that's a proof text for the deity of Jesus Christ. We look
at the New World Translation, but this we have come to know,
love, because that one surrendered his soul for us. That one surrendered
his soul. Not God. They don't believe that
he's deity. They don't believe He's deity
either. This is how we know what love is. Jesus Christ laid down
His life for us. Was it Jesus Christ? Sure it
was. But when you see God and He, it shows that God was manifest
in the flesh. 1 Timothy 3.16. Unless, of course,
you have a modern version. He was manifest in the flesh.
New King James. By this we know love because
He laid down His life for us. He. You start adding it all together,
it is a destruction of truth. New century version, this is
how we know what real love is. Jesus gave His life for us. Contemporary
English version, we know what love is because Jesus gave His
life for us. No longer is it God. When God's
wrath is revealed, Romans 1.18, this is number 6. For the wrath
of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men who hold the truth and unrighteousness. I hold the truth
in my hands. And listen, this is a scary point
here. I've got to get this out and
not drop it. I can drop all those. I hold the truth. If you hold
this truth in unrighteousness, the wrath of God will be revealed
against you. Some of you wonder why you go through some things.
Yes, suffering for the glory of God, suffering for being a
Christian, that is all fine and great. I've suffered. I hope I've suffered for doing
right, which is far better. But you know what? I can also
suffer for holding the truth in unrighteousness. Look at what
the modern version says. New World Translation. For God's
wrath is being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteous men who are suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way.
Opposed to those that are suppressing the truth in a righteous way.
Isn't that what it says? It makes that distinction. There
is no such thing as suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way.
That's all there is. It's redundant. NIV, the wrath
of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness
and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
New King James, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against
all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth
and unrighteousness. Just like the NIV, they come
from the same source. In these verses, again, they say they
use the Textus Receptus, fine and dandy they did, but they
also moved away from it. New Century Version, God's anger
is shown from heaven against all the evil and wrong things
people do. You see, this is the most modern version. Is that
true? God's anger is shown from heaven against all the evil and
wrong things people do. There is no grace. There is no
mercy. There is no long-suffering anymore
in that verse in the New Century version. Do you know why you're
still alive? God's mercy is grace is long-suffering.
Do you know why anybody gets saved? God's mercy, God's grace,
God's long-suffering. There's none of that. None of
that in the modern version. Contemporary English version.
From heaven God shows how angry He is with all the wicked and
evil things that sinful people do to crush the truth. I feel like, you know, it's so
effeminate. Can you imagine preaching that
junk? They don't preach. Can you imagine giving a message
from that junk? Number seven, change the truth of God into
a lie. Romans 1.25, who changed the truth of God into a lie.
And again, I don't do the context. I don't have time. And worship
and serve the creature more than the Creator who is blessed forever.
Amen. Who changed the truth of God into a lie. Here I have the
truth. And the judgment is against those that lose their voice,
Brother Gip, who change the truth into a lie. That's who God judges. Not some guy that goes to a bookstore
and he's duped into buying one of the modern versions and he
says, well, my mama raised me on a King James Bible. That's
what I want. And they give him a new King
James and he goes home. Hey, I used to be president of a mission.
And we had, you know, we had guys getting saved, we'd send
them into a bookstore, you know, we'd say, well, get a Bible, you know,
and they, well, I want to get a good Bible, get a King James Bible. They
go into the bookstore, get a King, get a Bible, they ask for a King
James, they give them a new King James or a new Schofield that
changed the words. And they come in, I go, oh, man,
yeah, but they changed the words there. I watched the guy rip
it up in front of me. And he was just fortunate that
guy wasn't still in the bookstore. I don't know why, he got his
money back. He ripped that Bible out and
got his money back. He just got saved. He didn't
get straightened up. Hey, I'm telling you, those guys,
you know, I don't know. Hey man, you got a new man? Yeah, but that old man just came
out. New World Translation, even those who, look at that. Exchange the truth. The judgment
of God is against those who exchanged the truth, not the not the home
perverts, no perversions, what they're doing, not the producers. Not the producers that are producing
who are the ones that are changing it, they're getting on the ones
that are exchanging it. What's the NIV do? They exchange the
truth judgments against those that exchanged it. What's the
new King James who exchange? New Century. They traded. Not
the ones that produced, the ones that traded. Contemporary English
version, they gave up the truth. So what is it? You see the one
book, the name of my book, just to punch it in hard, One Book
Stands Alone. It's King James Bible. Not my
book. Over in the Philippines, my books,
we print them over there and we give them out and I travel
over there. I have one book rightly divided. The key to understanding
the Bible, One Book Stands Alone, the key to believing the Bible.
Man, over there, sometimes they split a little hair. The brother over there in America
thinks this book, this book right here is the key to believing
the Bible and the key to understanding the Bible. It says, I said, no,
no, no. One book, rightly divided. The title means it's King James
Bible, studied right, is the key to believing the Bible. Not
my books! I had to go over there and I had to get on tape, and
they put it out, and I said, look, I'm going to go ahead and
try to fix this, because these guys are under real problems. Robert Stauffer
thinks it's his books. What you go through, all for
the glory of God. Look at this. One book stands
alone, it's the King James Bible. Look at it. Exchanged, exchanged,
traded, gave up. And we could read all these 20
versions that I've got right here, which we will read in a
minute. Number eight, the preaching of the cross. I've covered the
clock. For the preaching of the cross
to them that perish foolishness, but on us which are saved is
the power of God. I have a whole presentation on
salvation, which I won't do here. But the preaching of the cross
unto us which are saved is the power of God. New World Translation
for the speech about the torture stake. You wonder why they stay
lost and confused and deluded and you can't reach them when
they come to your door. It's because they've got a torture
stake, and they don't even know what the cross is. Look at what it says, though.
Those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it
is the power of God. It is a process to them. You
say, that's terrible. All the bottles are open. This could be Grady. Can you
get me another water, please? Sorry, that's only one. That's
the only one. Look at the speech about the
torture stake. Terrible being saved. Oh, you
think, well, that's just New World translation. Oh, really?
The message no longer preaching. Of the cross is foolishness,
those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it
is the power of God to those who are being saved. New King
James, the message of the cross is foolishness, those who are
perishing, but to us who are being saved, not are saved. Well, I don't know about you,
but I know about me. I know I am not being saved. I are saved. That's what the
verse says. What are you laughing about?
That's good English down there in Alabama. Whoa, I got to step
over my cord. Thank you, brother. He doesn't trust me. You know,
I was thinking that thing would ring or something. He probably didn't
turn it on vibrate, left it up here and it'll start ringing.
You all be looking at me, why didn't you turn off your phone? He gave me his. All right, I'm gonna put this
one here in the middle. Don't drink it. I'm gonna take
it with me. New century version. The teaching about the cross
is foolish to those who are being lost, but to us who are being
saved is the power of God. Contemporary English version.
The message about the cross doesn't make any sense to lost people.
But for those of us who are being saved, it's God's power at work. And that's strong. That's powerful.
Not. Look at it. Being saved is a
progress. I have a whole chapter and I have a whole DVD that I
just do the NIV in. But do you understand, you can't
come up to me with a new King James. The biggest question I
get, and if you go online, it's called the KJV store. How many
of you have ever heard of it? You guys need to come on down
to Alabama. We're educated. I'm only kidding. I'm a Yankee.
I've been fighting the war down there 27 years. I came down as
a Yankee, even though I was born in Huntsville, but I was raised
in Pennsylvania. I'm still a Yankee down there. 27 years later, I
even have a slight draw, until I come up here for five days
and catch the good lingo back. What was I saying? Oh, the KingJamesStore.com. The guy's a bio-believer. Only
King James. Fantastic store. Start out by
selling my books only, now he sells many other good Bible-believing
books. But he does a great job, the
KJV store. And I'm just plugging him because
he's a good guy. I don't get anything from that. Matter of
fact, buy the books off my website, not off his. Okay, so that tells
you something. 1 Corinthians 1.21, "...for after
them the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased
God, by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." The
foolishness of preaching. And the New World Translation,
for since the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom
did not get to know God. God saw good through the foolishness
of what is preached to save those believing. It's blasphemous.
Let me ask you. I preach the blood. Is that foolishness? But the act of preaching is.
I mean, you've watched me, right? This is foolishness. It really
is. I mean, you know, I don't usually to have this good of a time.
But you guys are a good group. I'm preaching to the choir this
morning. It's fun. It's fun to preach to people
that want to know the truth. But the foolishness of preaching
is what God says it is. Not our message. Not what we
say. Not what's in the pages of that
book. That's the New World Translation, right? NIV. Foolishness of what
was preached. That's blasphemy. Is it the blood,
the cross, Jesus Christ, the fact that He became sin for us?
What part of my message is foolishness? My thoughts, maybe, but not what
I preach from this book. New King James, the foolishness
of the message preached. New King James, nothing wrong
with it. The reason I thought of the KJV story is my big seller
on it is this video right here on the New King James. Because
they get on and they're like, well, what's the difference between
the New King James and the King James? There's not really a problem,
right? It just gets rid of the these and the thous. What? That's the
problem. Thanks. I thought the thing went
blank or something. New Century Version. The message
that sounds foolish. Ah, that's even close. The message
that sounds foolish. You know, because that may be
true. But there's so much junk in the New Century Version, I
can only give them that much. They're together. Contemporary
English Version. The foolish message again. It's
terrible. Doctrine changed to teaching.
This is crazy. The deputy, when he saw what
was done, believed, being astonished, the doctrine of the Lord. New
World Translation, he's called the proconsul now. He's not the
deputy who got demoted or promoted. I don't know which. The teaching
of Jehovah. No longer the doctrine of the
Lord. NIV, the proconsul. I wonder where they got that
from. I wonder where they got that from. Oh, it's easier to
understand. It means deputy in the Greek. The proconsul saw what had happened. He believed, for he was amazed.
The teaching about the Lord. New King James. The teaching
about the Lord. And the proconsul. Now, in the new century version,
he has lifted up to governor of the state of Alabama or Mississippi. New century version. Now, we
have a good governor. He's a good Christian man. Governor,
he got in trouble for saying that you had to be a Christian
to be a brother of his when he was inaugurated. He went to a
church and spoke and said that, and boy, they blasted him all
over the news. Contemporary English version. When the governor saw
what had happened, he was amazed at this teaching, the governor.
So he stays the governor now. Number 11. 2 Corinthians 2.17,
you 20 men get ready. I'm going to call you up. Right
when I get toward the end here, I'll say, you guys, come on up.
And just take one of these and then just, oh, watch these cords.
Oh my, oh my. I don't know, I might get you
all over there. Don't get behind me. 2 Corinthians
2.17, for we are not as many which corrupt the Word of God,
but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ. We're
not as many which corrupt Look at what this says, New World
Translation, we're not as many, we are not peddlers. They ever
knock on your door and try to sell you those booklets? NIV,
unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit. We
sell it for a loss. Hey, I didn't say that, Zonderman.
You did. You know, they peddle it, but
it's not for a profit. New King James, we are not as
many peddling the Word of God. Oh, yes, you are. New Century
Version, we do not sell the Word of God for a profit. They don't. What kind of fools they think
that we are? Contemporary English Version, a lot of people try
to get rich from preaching God's message. That means the same
thing, doesn't it? Go ahead and come on up, 20 guys,
right over there, grab a Bible. Well, what could I say? Grab
a perversion on the way up. Here it is, I'm going to go through
this. King James Bible, 1 Thessalonians 5.22, abstain from all appearance
of evil. That is a very high standard. To abstain from the
appearance of evil. You know what the modern version
says? It says abstain from every form of wickedness. Abstain from
every form of wickedness. NIV says avoid every kind of
evil. Avoid every kind of evil. Well, in a minute, new King James,
abstain from every form of evil. New century version, and stay
away from something that is evil. Contemporary English version,
and don't have anything to do with evil. And then the NIV, I think,
yeah, here it is. Instead of avoid, now they have
reject. And get wherever you can. If
you don't want to be blinded, be careful. Go ahead and spread out behind.
Just come on and move down. Keep going. That's a lot of men
up there. Twenty of you. Go ahead and open
at the bottom where the white marker is at the top. Make sure
you find 1 Thessalonians 5.22. It's marked in there. Notice
it doesn't say avoid anymore. It says reject every kind of
evil. Look at the point, though. Abstain from even the appearance
of evil. That's a high standard. If it
looks bad, don't do it. Now that you're saying, look,
if it's bad, don't do it. Much higher standard in the King James
Bible. What we're going to be doing is we're going to be looking
at these versions right here, and you need to... Can you go
ahead and split? I don't want blue on your face. American Standard
Version 1901, Moffat 1935, and you can read them yourself, Revised
Standard Version, so on. And then we have another 11 through
20 right there. As a congregation, 1 Thessalonians
4.16, please. 5.22. 1 Thessalonians 5.22. And we're going to read
it in unison in a moment. Let's all stand together for
a moment. I want you to read it out and we're going to read
it out together. We're going to read the verse just like you
see it. 1 Thessalonians 5.22. Abstain from all appearance of
evil. You guys do not read it behind me. Alright, congregation,
let's go. 1 Thessalonians 5.22. Abstain
from all appearance of evil. Do it again. Abstain from all
appearance of evil. That sounded pretty good. Now,
you guys back here, don't read the verse number, just read the
verse right now. Do it again. Do it again. You guys do it. All right, guys. Keep the Bibles. We'll just go
ahead and sit down. You all can be seated. Thank you. Wow! Did you see the difference? You
know what I got up there? For God is not the author of
confusion, but of peace, as in the churches of the saints. 1
Corinthians 14.33 That was confusion behind me. And you guys could
read in unison because you all had the same standard Bible. Thirteen personal pronouns. And
here it is. I need to close on this. The
modern versions use the generic you for both singular and plural
pronouns. King James Bible uses thee, thine,
thine for singular. It begins with a T. And then
it uses you, ye, and yours for the plural Y. And that's how
you tell the difference. And listen, it's not hard. You
see, ye, it means plural. Thee means singular. Thee, and
now a word from our sponsors. And that's not me. It's the church
here. I've got to tell you. I had to

not think that my faith could be as strengthened as it has

Thank you very much. I am overwhelmed. We were at the hotel room and
I came in two nights ago and the girl stopped me and asked
me about Hope Baptist Church. Witness to her gave her track.
Her name is A-R-B-E. Arby. She's Indian. Pray for
her. That was two nights ago. And
I was on the phone with my wife. And my wife is telling me, OK,
well I'll just tell you goodbye. I'll call you back. And I'm still
talking to her. And she says, OK. And I'm trying
not to interrupt. I said, OK. Bye. You know, I'm talking to my wife
at the same time I'm talking to this young lady. And she doesn't
get saved, but I give her a copy of my salvation book and so on.
So I do that, and then last night I'm coming in, and I'm on the
phone with my wife again, so I call her as soon as I leave
here, and then I'm talking. So I have the headset on, and
I walk in. There's another girl there, and
her name's Tracy. I said, no, I'm not going to wait for them
to ask. I'm going to go ahead and just give her a track. I said, here, I want
you to read this when you get a chance. And she says, I will read it.
I will have time tonight. I said, what time do you get
off? 7 o'clock? I said, look, it's about 1130, and I need about
an hour or two to work last night. So I had to get up to the room.
I had to. I didn't get to sleep till late. And then about 5 this
morning, I woke up. She's getting off at 7, and I
said, I don't want to get up yet. And I'm talking to the Lord,
Lord, I don't want to get up yet. I swear to you, at 6 o'clock,
I'm talking to the Lord again, Lord, I don't want to get up
yet. 6, 10, I got up. I said, forget it. I got up,
got dressed, went downstairs, and I started talking to her.
And Brother Grady was in there eating with his back to me. So
I'm talking to her, and I started talking to her. I said, well,
you know, did you read the tract? She said, I didn't have any time. This is my first
night on audit in hotels. Hotel auditor. And it's all messed
up, and I don't know what my boss is going to say, and all
this. And then we were talking, and
I got Brother Grady to come over, and he said, what are you trying
to sell over there? You know, because he knows I'm witnessing to her.
And we started talking to her together, and he starts, you
know, putting it in. And it's just amazing how it
all worked out. Brother just got saved. And she
told us. My brother just got saved. And
I went, wow. We're talking. You know, my boyfriend
just got saved. Wow. There were two people in
there. She's shaking. She's crying.
I mean, she's got tears coming down. We had two people in there
when we started, which obviously aren't going to be there long.
They're gone within about one minute. We're in there until
ten till seven. Ten after six is when I think
I got up, so I don't know when I got down. Maybe twenty after
six. And at ten till seven, we were never, ever interrupted.
I made that point to Brother Grady, except he said, well,
yes we were. We were talking about Hope Baptist Church. On
the television, on the television, your flight, honor flight, Hope
Baptist Church, Honor Flight on television behind us. We're
getting chills. Oh, and then he says, he says,
Brother Grady says, what exit are we on? I think we're on six.
And he says, yeah, the church is on eight. She says, that's
where I live. Her name's Tracy. So Brother
Grady talks to her for a while and tells his testimony and she's
visibly moved. And, you know, it's 10 till 7,
you know, he goes ahead and leaves. And I sat down on the table,
and I just turned around and I said, look, I told her the
gospel. I said, look, Christ died for your sins. God is obviously
working with you. I said, I don't believe in forcing
anybody. It has to be a decision you make.
You know, are you a sinner? Yes. You know, and I quoted the
verse, and I did all that, and I showed her, and I said, look.
And I could tell she was still worried. Her boss is coming in
any moment. I said, all you got to do is
accept Christ by trusting in Him. And she said, I'm going
to do that on my own. I said, OK. So her name's Tracy. At Baymont? Baymont Inn? Is that where we are? I can't
remember where I am one day to the next. But here, this group
right here, I really appreciate. I was not going to tell you that
story just because Brother Grady told you the other story the
other night when he came in and I was witnessing to those people. I
just don't like to I don't like to pull the limelight on me,
because it really isn't. I mean, I've got to tell you, some things
are going on in my life. I had three people come forward
for salvation Sunday morning, including a 63-year-old woman. I was overwhelmed. The one that
led her to the Lord, it was Doc Allen. He says, do you realize
how unusual it is for a 63-year-old? And you think, well, you think
you're a great soul winner. No, I don't. But I know this. We are in times where there's
some people listening. If we'll just do our job, we
can make it through. That was Sunday morning. Monday
night, I preached at Juvenile Detention Center. Fifty young men. I had
twelve of them come forward. Twelve of them. Monday night,
no, it's Monday night. Tuesday night, I'm out on visitation.
Guy with me, first time, he's only been saved one month. He's
out on visitation with me. I've only ever had one guy saved
in the past three months on visitation. Because I don't force people.
This guy was, you know, he had, he was breathing, you know, oxygen,
dying, 30 minutes I'm in there with him and he, I need to get
saved. It's about time, he says, this is the other guy, this is
the, a couple months ago. This guy, first, first one we
go visit is Catholic and I won't tell you the story about her.
She almost gets saved, her husband interrupted. Next one is a sheriff's deputy. gets saved right in his doorway.
And I mean, it was the sweetest thing. And the guy interrupts
me to help me be a better soul. And he says, you know, hey, this
is what happened to me when I got saved. Gives his testimony, and
the guy listens to him and gets saved. It wasn't me. So we leave
that place and go next door, and there's a 13-year-old young
man. He gets saved. So I'm with this young, I'm with
this guy. He says, man, wow, I've never seen anybody get saved.
I just got saved. Of course he didn't see anybody
get saved. He just got saved. Look, what I'm telling you is
I don't know what time we're living in. We've said it's the
last days for a long time, but I'm here to tell you there's
a lot going on. I'm having the time of my life. Don't like,
brother, did you say don't wake me up? Don't wake me up. And look, if you got some bone
to pick with me, go pick it with with Grady. Finally. All right, look, I've got to
quit. I could tell you about some other things, but I won't
put your ads. I put the ads at the end because
I wanted to make sure I had enough time, and I am ten minutes over. I
try to stop on time. I really do. I went over the
other day. I'm first creature. Try not to go over, but I'll
take ten minutes out of yours. I'm kidding. Pastor? I do appreciate
it, and listen, I appreciate Hope Baptist, the ladies that
have cooked, the people that have kept this thing going, the
late nights, early mornings, the great audience. Hey, thank
