Fittingly Holy

The scripture tells us that Jesus as our high priest was fitting for our need. Then goes on to tell us some of the characteristics of just what the needs are and how He fulfills them. The list begins at the most basic issue of all, holiness. This fundamental attribute of the God who is, is the launching point for every single thing God requires. It is the one thing that defines everything and everyone that is part of God's kingdom. Holiness is the core character of God… and as such it is the thing we need and do not possess, but in God's grace and mercy, it is the thing He provides first for us in the person of Christ.
