Bye. Well, good morning. It is July
19th, 2022, and welcome to the 200th day of the year, 200 days
of Bible reading. Praise God. 200 days, every single
day of the year, and so we praise God for that. Thank you all so
much for joining me every day. It is a blessing, and I just
praise God for this privilege, this opportunity to be able to
read the Word with you throughout this year. That said, today,
as we come to the 200th day of the year, we're going to be picking
up in Judges Chapter 2, Acts Chapter 6, Jeremiah 15, and then
starting the Gospel of Mark today, Chapter 1. So, let's get to it
today. Continuing to read the word today
on the 200th day. Judges chapter 2. And an angel
of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bakhim and said, I made you
to go up out of Egypt and brought you into the land which I swear
unto your fathers and I said I will never break my covenant
with you. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of
this land. Ye shall throw down their altars, but ye have not
obeyed my voice. Why have you done this? And wherefore
I also said, I will not drive them out from before you, but
they will be as thorns in your side, and their gods shall be
a snare to you. Then it came to pass, when the angel of the
Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that
the people lifted up their voice and wept, and they called the
name of that place, Bakim. and they sacrificed there unto
the Lord. And when Joshua had let the people go, the children
of Israel went, every man into his inheritance to possess the
land. And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua,
all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen
all the great works of the Lord that he did for Israel. And Joshua
the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being a hundred
and ten years old. And they buried him. in the borders
of his inheritance in Timnath-Herez in the mount of Ephraim on the
north side of the hill Gash. And also all the generations
were gathered into their fathers and there arose another generation
after them which knew not the Lord nor yet the works which
he had done for Israel. And the children of Israel did
evil in the sight of the Lord and served Balim And they forsook
the Lord, the God of their fathers, which brought them up out of
the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the
people that were around about them, and bowed themselves unto
them, and provoked the Lord to anger. And they forsook the Lord,
and served Baal and Asheroth, And the anger of the Lord was
hot against Israel. And He delivered them into the
hands of the spoilers that spoiled them. And He sold them into the
hands of the enemies round about them, so that they could not
any longer stand before their enemies. And whithersoever they
went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as
the Lord had said, and as the Lord had sworn unto them. And
they were greatly distressed. Nevertheless, the Lord raised
up judges which delivered them out of the hand of those that
spoiled them. And yet they would not hearken unto their judges,
but they went a-whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves
unto them. And they turned quickly out of
the way, which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments
of the Lord, But they did not so. And when the Lord raised
up for them judges, then the Lord was with the judge and delivered
them out of the hand of the enemies all the days of the judge. For
it repented the Lord because of their groanings by reason
of them that oppressed them and vexed them. It came to pass that
the judge, when the judge was dead, that they returned and
corrupted themselves more than their fathers in following other
gods to serve them. and bow down unto them. They
ceased not from their own doings, nor from the stubborn ways. And
the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. And he said,
Because that this people have transgressed my covenant, which
I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice,
I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the
nations which Joshua left when he was dead, that through them
I might prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the
Lord to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it or not. And
therefore the Lord left those nations without driving them
out hastily, neither delivered He them into the hand of Joshua."
That was Judges chapter 2. Let's move on over to Acts chapter
6. Acts chapter 6. And in those days when the number
of the disciples was multiplied, There arose a murmuring of the
Grecians against the Hebrews because their widows were neglected
in the daily ministration. And then the twelve called the
multitude of the disciples unto them and said, It is not reason
that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. And
wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest
report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom. whom we may appoint
over this business, but we will give ourselves continually to
prayer and to the ministry of the word. And the saying pleased
the whole multitude, and they chose Stephen, a man full of
faith, and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Procurus, and
Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicholas, a proselyte of
Antioch, whom they set before the apostles. And when they had
prayed, they laid their hands on them, and the word of God
increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem
greatly, and a great company of the priests were obedient
to the faith. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great
wonders and miracles among the people. And then there arose
certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the
Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them, of
Sicilia and Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able
to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Then
they subord men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous
words against Moses and against God. And they stirred up the
people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and
caught him, and brought him to the council, and set up false
witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous
words against this holy place and the law. For we have heard
him say that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and
shall change the customs which Moses delivered unto us. And
all that sat in the council, looking steadfastly on Him, saw
His face as it had been the face of an angel." That was Acts chapter
6. Let's move on over to Jeremiah
15. Jeremiah 15 today. Jeremiah 15. Then said the Lord unto me, Though
Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be
toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and
let them go forth. And it shall come to pass, if
they say unto me, Whither shall we go? Then thou shalt tell them. Thus saith the Lord, Such are
for death to death, and such as are for the sword to the sword,
and such as for the famine to the famine. and such as for the
captivity to the captivity. And I will appoint over them
four kinds, saith the Lord, the sword to slay, the dogs to tear,
the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth to devour
and destroy. And I will cause them to be removed into all the
kingdoms of the earth because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah,
king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. For who
shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? Or who shall bemoan thee? Or
who shall go aside to ask how thou doest? Thou hast forsaken
me, saith the Lord. Thou hast gone backwards, and
therefore I will stretch out my hand against thee and destroy
thee. I am weary with repenting, and I will fan them with a fan
in the gates of the land, and I will bereave them of children.
I will destroy my people, since they return not from my ways. Their widows are increased to
me above the sand of the sea. I have brought upon them, against
the mothers of the young men, a spoil of noonday. I have caused
him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. She
that hath borne seven languishes, she hath given up the ghost. Her son is gone down while it
was yet day, and she hath been ashamed and confounded, and the
residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies,
saith the Lord. Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne
me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth.
I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury,
and yet every one of them doeth curse me. And the Lord said,
Verily it shall be well with the remnant. Verily I will cause
the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the
time of affliction. And shall iron break the northern
iron and the steel? Thy substance and thy treasure
will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins,
even in all thy borders. And I will make thee to pass
with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not, for a
fire is kindled in mine anger which shall burn upon you. O
LORD, thou knowest. Remember me, and visit me, and
revenge me of my persecutors. Take me not away in thine long
suffering. Know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
Thy words were found, and I did eat them. And thy word was unto
me the joy and rejoicing of my heart. For I am called by thy
name, O Lord God of hosts. I sat not in the assembly of
the mocker, nor rejoiced. I sat alone because of thy hand.
For thou hast filled me with indignation. Why is my pain perpetual,
and my wound incurable, which thou refusest to be healed? Wilt
thou be altogether unto me a liar, and as water that fail? And therefore
thus saith the Lord, If thou return, Then will I bring thee
again, and thou shalt stand before me. And if thou shalt take forth
the precious from the vial, thou shalt be as my mouth. Let them
return unto me, but return not thou unto them. And I will make
thee unto this people a fence, brazen wall, and they shall fight
against thee, and they shall not prevail against thee. For
I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I
will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. That was Jeremiah
chapter 15. Let's move on over and start
the Gospel of Mark. Gospel of Mark chapter 1 to finish
up our time together today on the 200th day. Mark chapter 1. The beginning of the gospel of
Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the prophets,
behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare
thy way before me. The voice of one crying in the
wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight.
John did baptize in the wilderness and preach the baptism of repentance
for the remission of sin. And there went out unto him all
the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized
of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. Then John was clothed
with camel's hair and with a girdle of skin about his loins, and
he did eat locusts and wild honey, and preached, saying, There cometh
one mightier than I after me, the lachet of whose shoes I am
not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized
you with water, but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
It shall come to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth
out of Galilee and was baptized of John and Jornan, and straightway
coming up out of the water he saw the heavens open and the
Spirit like unto a dove descending upon him. And there came a voice
from heaven saying, Thou art my beloved Son. in whom I am
well pleased. And immediately the Spirit driveth
him into the wilderness. Then he was there in the wilderness
forty days, tempted of Satan, and was with the wild beasts,
and the angels ministered unto him. And now after that John
was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel
of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand. Repent ye, and believe the gospel. Now as he walked by the sea of
Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into
the sea, for they were fishers. And Jesus said unto them, Come
ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. And straightway they forsook
their nets and followed him. And when he had gone a little
further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John
his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
And straightway he called them, and they left their father Zebedee
in the ship with the hired servant, and went after him. And they
went into Capernaum, and straightway unto the Sabbath day he entered
into the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at his
doctrine, for he taught them as one that had authority, and
not as the scribes. And there was in the synagogue
a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, Let
us alone. What have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us?
I know thee, who thou art, the Holy One of God." And Jesus rebuked
him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when
the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice,
he came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch
that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? What
new doctrine is this? For with authority commandeth
he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. And immediately
his fame spread abroad throughout all the region around about Galilee.
And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they
entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, and James and John,
Simon's wife, His mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they
tell him of her. And he came and took her by the
hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered
unto them. And even when the sun did set,
they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that
were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered
together at the door, and he healed many that were sick of
diverse diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not
the devils to speak, because they knew him. And the morning
rising up, a great while before the day, he went out and departed
into a solitary place. And there he prayed. And Simon
and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had
all found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And
he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may
preach there also. For therefore came I forth. And
he preached in their synagogues throughout all of Galilee and
cast out devils. And there came a leper to him,
beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto
him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus moved
with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith
unto him, I will be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken,
immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
And he straightly charged him, with forthright, and sent him
away, and saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man,
but go thy way, and show thyself to the priests, and offer thy
cleansing, those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony
unto them. But he went out, and began to
publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that
Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without
in the desert places. And they came to him from every
quarter. Layman that was our reading for
