I have two books on my bedside,
Lieutenant. The Marine Corps Code of Conduct and the King
James Bible. I hate snakes, Doc! I hate them! And may the Christian
Lord guide my hand against a Roman potpourri! And they may take
our lives, but they'll never take our freedom! We're on a mission from God.
You want answers! I want the truth! You can't handle
the truth! Maybe we should chug on over
to Mamby Pamby Land, where maybe we can find some self-confidence
for you, you jackwagon! Coming to you live from his padded
cell, Hiatop Bethel Church, the most heralded, the most despised
talk show in all of human history. This is the talk show hell hates. This is Pastor Mike Online. There we go coming to you live
from our top secret broadcasting bunker here at area 52 This is
Pastor Mike and I am online and I am live And I'm in a lot better
shape than Jimmy Swaggart is Cuz he's dead Let me read an article, let's see here. Yeah, here it is. This is from, you know this has
got to be true, 100% true, cnn.com. You can always count on them.
Televangelists Jimmy Swaggart, whose ministry was toppled by
prostitution scandals, dies at 90. Baton Rouge, you know what
that means? Red stick or red baton. a televangelist, Jimmy Swaggart,
whose multi-million dollar ministry and huge audience dwindled following
his prostitution scandals has died. He was 90 years old. Swaggart's death was announced
Tuesday on his public Facebook page. That's just weird to me. How is it that since he died,
how could he announce it on his Facebook page? That's. That's just, I don't get that.
A cause wasn't immediately given, except for the fact that he was
90 years old. Wasn't immediately given, though
Swaggart had been in ill health, and he was 90 years old. The Louisiana native was best
known for being a captivating Pentecostal preacher. Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Mickey Gilley,
all three of them first cousins. I'm not making that up. They
were all three from the same family, first cousins. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway,
yeah, but that's, and they are amazing piano players. And if
you go back and look at the history of rock and roll, Before there was rock and roll
music, there was gospel music. Johnny Cash, Elvis, Presley that
is, Jerry Lee Lewis. Who else? Ray Charles. There was a ton of these guys
that got their start singing, playing gospel music. Oh, and I forgot to mention Jimmy
Swaggart. But anyway, the article Let's see here. Swaggart encapsulated his downfall
in a tearful 1988 sermon in which he wept and apologized, but made
no reference to his connection to a prostitute. I have sinned
against you. Swaggart told parishioners nationwide,
I beg you, forgive me. He announced his resignation
from the Assemblies of God later that year, shortly after the
church said it was defrocking him for rejecting punishment
it had ordered for moral failure. What happened was that the Swagman, was told that his church was
an Assemblies of God church. And when the denominational elders,
when they sat down with Swaggart, they said, we are forgiving of
you, but we are recommending that you not fill the pulpit
for one year. Just one year. Swagger didn't like that. That
was going to cost him a lot of money. A lot of income was not
going to income. And so he rejected that. And so there went, you know,
it's it's It's one thing to say you're sorry. But when the people who you voluntarily. You see, there is no hierarchy. Mandatory hierarchy in in. I would say in most non-Catholic
denominations. whereby you want to be a preacher and all
of a sudden you start preaching and people say, well, since you're
preaching in our church, we own you. There's none of that. But his church being under the
auspices of the Assemblies of God, that meant that I don't
know how the political scheme of the assemblies work, but you place yourself under their
authority, and when they tell you, we want you out for a year,
then you should sit down for a year. It's not gonna kill ya. It's not the end of the world.
They could say, you know what? We've heard these rumors for
a long time. I heard these rumors when I was in Bible college in
1984, 85, 86. And I'm like, nah, that's just rumors. Because in
Oklahoma City, charismatic, you know Pentecostal
movement was huge in Oklahoma and And I thought I don't believe
that I don't believe that well sure enough It was true he was
going out whenever he could buying magazines and And and and I don't
mean you know Time magazine, I don't mean that but anyway he started hookin' up with people you hook up with,
okay? And, you know, he says he never laid
a hand on him. Yeah, whatever. Let's see if
there's, there was something else here. Yeah. Swagger grew up poor, the
son of a preacher in a music-rich family. He excelled at piano
and gospel music, playing and singing with talented cousins
who took different paths, rock and roller Jerry Lee Lewis and
country singer Mickey Gilley. In his hometown of Faraday, Louisiana,
Swaggart said he first heard the call of God at age eight. The voice gave him goosebumps
and made his hair tingle, he said. I didn't know he heard
a voice. I know for a fact that he heard
voices later on And I have the proof right here. Now, I was
not a big fan of Jimmy Swaggart. I used to like on Sunday mornings
when we were getting ready for church when I was growing up,
he would be on television. And I mean, he just, as far as
preachers go and his delivery of sermons, there was a lot of
energy in it. There was a lot of sweat and
so on. But it's all about the money. I had heard, and this may or
may not be true, but the timing of it sounds right. Before his
fall back in the late 80s, before that happened, an elderly woman had rewritten
her will And she had quite a bit of money, something like $5 million,
$10 million, something like that. Well, she rewrote her will. She had adult children. She didn't
leave them anything. She left everything to Jimmy
Swaggart Ministries. Well, her children found out
after she died. And they're like, mom didn't
leave us anything. Lawyers are like, nope, they're
tight, you can't. So they wrote Swaggart a letter. And they asked him, please, will
you send us the money back? We promise you, we will include
you in the You know, giving out this money, we will include your
ministry since it was very important to mom. But will you please send
it back to us? Swaggart's return to them basically
said drop dead. I don't think he used those exact
words, but it was like, no way. Take a leap. It's my money. I'm not giving it back. And you
can go jump off a cliff for all I care. And they sued him in court, claiming
that their mother wasn't in her right mind and that Swaggart
Ministries should return the money. And they lost the lawsuit. Swaggart hired the lawyers and
won the lawsuit, which means he gets to keep all that money.
Now, God always has a way. If I could if I could name today's
broadcast, I doubt that I will but God God always Has a way
don't ever don't ever count out God's ability to judge Righteously
judge righteous judgment because he does Even when we think people
are going to get away with something and I promise you they don't
get away with anything. I mean, look at OJ Simpson. He gets cleared of murder charges,
gets found not guilty, writes a book afterwards that says,
if I did it. And he basically details how
he did it. But they can't touch him because
of double jeopardy. Then he loses the civil suit. I can't remember the guy's name,
but his family, Nicole, what's her name? Yeah, Nicole Simpson.
Her family sued OJ's estate or whatever and won a ton of money. Meanwhile, OJ's busy hiding money
to get out of that. Then OJ ends up in prison You never get away with anything
Now I Don't I don't like Jimmy Swaggart,
I have it for a long time and There's a book Proves why I don't
like him. I don't like his wife. I don't
like his son I don't like his ministry. I don't like nothing Because of this book The book is called Holy Bible
King James Version expositors study Bible Jimmy Swaggart. Now, what I'm gonna do, oh, you
gotta, way do you see this? Hopefully, it will anger you. Second Thessalonians. Second Thessalonians. What happened,
what they did was, Jimmy and Donnie and Huey Dewey
and Louie Swaggart all the other little Swaggarts His wife Who should sit in the pew and
be quiet But anyway his wife Probably
was in on this too Good grief. Oh my goodness if
you I'm gonna put I'm gonna put I'm gonna put it up on the screen
for you And you and Somebody somebody
sent me this Bible I hadn't I had mentioned it before and Somebody
that had bought it heard me talk about it and they sent me their
copy and so anyway It says in the front
here containing the Old New Testament's Authorized King James Version
1611 Elizabethan English is updated in some cases to reflect present
terminology without changing the true meaning of the word.
Who decides what the true meaning is, Jimmy? But what they did was they took
I don't know if you can, I need a place marker here. Well, I'll
just use this. I don't know if you can see this.
Let me scoot in here. But every place where the black is, that's the Bible. Every place where the red is,
that is Jimmy or Donnie or one of the other scholars. That's
their rewriting of it. And I'll give you an example.
2 Thessalonians 2. So I'll put that back up on the
screen for you. 2 Thessalonians. Yeah, chapter two. Look at verse two. And here's the first thing that really,
really got me upset was that he injected his comments not
down on the bottom, not over in a margin somewhere, but right
in the midst of the text. It makes it seem as if Swaggart's
interpretation of what it says is on even par with what God
says it says. I'll give you an example. Verse
two. Well, let me read verse one.
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, here is Swaggart injecting this phrase, refers to both the
rapture and the second coming, and then back to the word of
God, and by our gathering together unto him, Here's Swaggart, this
phrase refers strictly to the rapture. Verse 2, that you be not soon
shaken in mind or be troubled, and then Swaggart says false
doctrine does this, and then God says neither by spirit Swaggart
says, messages in tongues and interpretation which purport
to be of the Lord, but really were not. Swaggart was a tongue
talker, a tied tongue talker, okay? Then he says, God says,
nor by word, Swaggart says, pertaining to those who have claimed to
have a word from the Lord, God says, nor by letter as from us. Swaggart says, someone had written
a letter claiming certain prophetic things and evidently had signed
Paul's name to it, which means it was a forgery. God then says,
as that the day of Christ is at hand, here we go now. Swaggart says, should have been
translated the day of the Lord. Because this is how the best
manuscripts read. The day of the Lord refers to
all events after the rapture. Some were claiming, even in Paul's
day, that the second coming was about to take place, which, of
course, was wrong. Oh, I am, I'm not happy already. He says the day of Christ, but it, it, it, uh, let's see
here. The day of Christ, it should
have been translated the day of the Lord. Well, let's check
this out for a second. Let's just go to, um, Oh, let's
see here. Uh, here we go. Blue letter Bible. Let's just
do this here. So let's go to 2 Thessalonians
2 verse 2 says that the day of Christ is at hand. When we go
to tools here it's going to give us the Greek words. The Greek words are, that ye be not soon shaken in
mind, is fairly easy, or be troubled, neither by spirit nor by word,
nor by letter as from us, as that the day of, the Greek word
is Christos. I mean, that's easy, right? Well,
I don't know any Greek, Pastor Mike. Well, what do you think
the word Christos means? Christ. Where does Swaggart,
where in the world does he get off? Oh, you know what I think
he might be doing? You know what I think he did? Let's see if the modern translations,
we'll use the Holman Christian Standard Bible. 2nd Thessalonians 2 Christian
Standard Bible Yep, that's what he did. That's what he did if you look
here. No, can you see this? Yeah The King James the Textus Receptus,
which is the Greek behind the King James says that the day
of Christ is at hand and The new translations say the day
of the Lord has come. It's because in the new translations
they use the Vaticanus, the Sinaiticus, Alexandrinus, they use all the
corrupt modern, they use all the corrupt Greek manuscripts
that are totally wrong. And so Swaggart, all the Swaggarts,
all the scholars at Swaggart University or whatever, they
all went along with it. You think you've got a King James
Bible, but you don't. Because you've got Swaggart changing
it mid-sentence into what the new translations say. It's me oh it gets me I'll put
that back up there Yeah, okay, I'll bet back to back to verse
two that the day of Christ is at hand should have been translated
the day of the Lord Because this is how the best manuscript what
best manuscripts are those sir? Jimmy Verse three, let no man deceive
you by any means. That's what God says. Swaggart
says, in other words, don't listen to that which is scripturally
incorrect. God says for that day shall not.
Here we go now. This is where it really, really
ticks me off. God says, for that day shall
not come except there come a falling away first. Now, how do you,
how do you understand that phrase falling away first? Do you see it as, oh, this is
the beautiful plan of God. This is the rapture. The falling
away is the rapture. Um. For that day should not come
except there come a falling away first. The Greek word there is
apostasia. Now, again, I don't know any
Greek pastor, Mike. Well, if I were to say the word
apostasia. Do you think you would say, wait
a minute, that sounds like. Apostasy. And you would be exactly right. But Swaggart says, thus saith
the Swaggart. Should have been translated.
For that day shall not come except there come a departure. First. This speaks of the rapture, which
in essence says, the second coming cannot take place until certain
things happen. The rapture. So here you go,
thus saith Jimmy. You've got a doctrine that's
wrong. It's not supported by what's
in the Bible. And instead of you changing your
doctrine, you just go like, well, we'll
just change the Bible. I mean, obviously we can't have
anything happening Before the rapture that is thus saith the
swaggered So Donnie how are we gonna do
this? How are we gonna how are we gonna
take that Greek word apostasia You want me to show it to you
I will thank you for asking Yeah, we'll use the KJV Here we go verse 3 For Let no man deceive you By
any means for that day shall not come except there come a
There's the word apostasia Okay Turn my mic up a little bit.
There we go. No, wrong one. There we go. Apostasia. You would never, ever, ever,
ever in a jillion years. Let's look that word up. And Falling away, defection,
apostasy is what it means. To forsake, falling away. Let's see here, where is it used? Acts 21, 21, and they are informed
of thee that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the
Gentiles to forsake Moses. Come on. There is no place that's
only used two times. There isn't a place Where it
means? We're departing now. We're getting
on God's plane and we're flying up to heaven. It's time for our
departure I'm not done Yeah , all this old wait a minute Let's let's go ahead and do and
we already did verse 3 that man of sin be revealed the son of
perdition Swaggart says this speaks of the Antichrist who
must come upon the world scene before the second coming and
in verse 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called
God and Thus says Swaggart, Swaggart says, pertains to his declaration
of himself as deity, or that is worshiped. Here again Swaggart
says, the Antichrist will put down all religions, at least
in the area which he controls, making himself alone the object
of worship. God says, so that he is God,
sits in the temple of God, Thus says Swaggart refers to the Jewish
temple, which will be rebuilt in Jerusalem. The Antichrist
will take over the temple, making it his religious headquarters. OK, so. So. Swaggart, didn't didn't you forget that even if the Jews rebuild
the temple, God's gonna look at it and go, I'm not dwelling
in that. I don't dwell in temples made
with hands. Showing himself that he is God.
All right, now, there was another verse in here. which is Hebrews. And again, like what Swaggart
did there in 2 Thessalonians, where the Greek clearly and undeniably
says the day of Christ. But because the modern translations
based upon the corrupted texts, say Day of the Lord, then obviously, if I were to rename this book, I would call it Why the King
James Bible is wrong in almost everything it says by Jimmy Swaggart
That's what I would rename this Bible to Because that's what
it set out to prove It set out to prove that everything
that you've been Everything that you've been hearing
for the last several years Or maybe your whole life in a King
James? Might as well throw it away.
It's all wrong. Completely gone. So, it's just
another way to get fundamentalist Christians. You know, they're
really, well, I don't know about now, but I could say that in
time past, there wasn't a whole lot of liberal assembly of God
churches. Pentecostals just seemed to be
fairly conservative, which means that they would more than likely
be happy with the King James more than any other Bible. Swaggart
then comes along He's a puppet on a string whoever is holding
the string, I don't know But he comes out with this brand-new
Bible and It looks to me like the stated purpose the one purpose
of this Bible is To get you to believe that your King James
is wrong. I this this Bible proves That it's
wrong So here's another example of you're not only You're not
only saying the Greek should be better translated. You're
saying that even the Greek is wrong and It's in Hebrews chapter
2 Let's see here, is it? Yeah, Hebrews chapter 2. Oh my goodness. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah. So, Hebrews chapter 2. Where does it start out? Okay, I'll start reading in verse
5. For unto the angels has he not
put in, for unto the angels has he not put in subjection the
world to come whereof we speak. That is the Lord. Here is thus
saith the swagger. The Lord hasn't given the angels
dominion and rulership as he has Christ. Well then, What's a principality then? What's
a principality? What's a power? Anyway, verse
six, but one in a certain place testified saying, what is man
that you are mindful of him? Oh, here's where it's getting
good. Get ready now. What is man that you are mindful
of him? And is quoting Psalm 8. And then the Swaggart says, this
delves into the reason God has given man so much notice. Now here's God saying, or the
son of man that you visit him. Here is thus saith the Swaggart.
This refers to looking upon in order to help or benefit. This
clearly indicates the son of man spoken of here is the human
race and not Christ. Why couldn't it be both? Anyway,
verse seven, you made him a little lower than the angels. That's what the King James says,
isn't it? Oh, but here's what the Holy
Righteous Swaggart says. Should have been translated.
That's the wrong button, isn't it? There we go. Should have been translated.
Get this one. You made him a little lower than
the Godhead. So, the King James says, you have
made him a little lower than the angels. The Swaggart says, and all the
other modern translations, you've made him a little lower than
the Godhead. But Let me finish reading. He says, the Hebrew word translated
angels is Elohim, which means God, and should have been translated
accordingly. God says then, you crowned him
with glory and honor. Swaggart says, proclaims that
which was never said of angels. God said and did set him over
the works of your hands. Swaggart says some of that dominion
is retained despite the fall. However, as would be obvious,
much has been lost. But to be sure, it has all been
regained in Christ and will ultimately be realized in Christ. Now, and
then it says it again in verse nine. Cheer Verse 9, but we see Jesus who
was made a little lower than the angels See it says it twice
For the suffering of death now I Checked In Psalm 8 Let's go to Psalm 8 which is
where Paul is quoting from. Psalm 8, there we go. What is man that thou art mindful
of him and the son of man that thou visitest him? Thou has made
him a little lower than the angels and has crowned him with glory
and honor now The Hebrew here is Elohim However The King James translators These guys were not stupid and
they weren't born yesterday. Obviously, they were born over
400 years ago. The King James translators knew
that you cannot translate this verse, Psalm 8, 4, that has made him a little lower
than the angels. They knew that they couldn't
translate it that way. And the word was Elohim. But
why, Pastor Mike, why are you saying that they knew that they
couldn't translate it as the Godhead? Why did they
translate Elohim as angels? Well, I'll tell you why thank
you for asking very much It's because that's what God
told them to translate it as Oh Pastor Mike, how would you
know something like that? I mean God doesn't speak to you. Does he well he does when I read
the Bible Let's go to blue letter Bible And we will go to he brews Chapter
2 All right Here it is right here
that was made him a little lower than the angels thou crownest
him with glory and honor and Did set him over the works of
thy hands? Let's look at the Greek. Thou madest him a little
lower than Angelos. Oh, Pastor Mike, I don't know
Greek. Well, okay, but if I were to
say the word Angelos, what would you say that meant? Angels? That's exactly right. That's exactly right. You see the King James translators
knew that the only proper interpretation of Thou has made him a little
lower than the Elohim the only proper interpretation would be
angels is because of the way the writer of Hebrews, probably
Paul, that's how he said it. When it was in Greek, God, the
Holy Spirit, remember, remember, this is I think the biggest problem. with all your Bible scholars
and all your manuscript criticizers and everybody else saying, oh,
this is wrong, this is wrong, this is wrong. They seem to forget
that the words that are in our Bible, well, they're not Paul's
words. They're not James words. They're not Isaiah's words. They're not Moses words. Holy men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who,
when Paul was writing this out, he said, the Holy Spirit said
to Paul, write down the word Angelos, angels. So he says, okay, God, it's your
Bible, Angelos. And I don't know where the Lord
Swaggart or the Lord John MacArthur or any of these other lords who
use these false, phony translations to get people to fall for doctrines
that are not true. But that's what they do. And they do it and people just
eat it up. People who wouldn't see it. Listen, people, I've said this
before. We have we have the best tools
in the entire world. We can look up any verse in the
Bible that we want to. We can do it on our phone. We
can do it on our tablets. Let's see here. Yeah, we can use our phones,
our tablets, our computers. And if we're not sure about it,
we can look up Greek and Hebrew and it tells you what the words
are. You don't have to be able to read the Hebrew letters or
the Greek letters. You see here you have Angelos
and there it is written in English letters there. Angelos. I can't read the rest of it.
But anyway, you get what I'm saying? You don't need, if I
remember, it seems like this Bible was like, I don't know,
75 bucks, something like that. And they wanna sell you this
stuff and it's full of lies. Every time the Lord swaggered
here says a better translation of this is, or this should have
been translated as, or the original Hebrew or the original Greek
actually is incorrect, we have better manuscripts now, and those
manuscripts tell us something completely different. But they get you to buy it because
it says King James Version. But this right here is a wolf. It's a wolf. Dressed up in the
clothing. Of a sheep. And I don't know how many thousands. Of people. have fallen for this
lie. But they have. And it bothers
me. It bothers me a great deal. You
gotta be careful, people. In today's world, you've got
to be careful. Because the liars are all around us. I had prayerfully considered
doing this. If you were watching Sunday morning during our service, during Sunday
school, I just was not feeling well at all and went to my office
after Sunday school and I could tell it was my blood sugar and
it was sky high. And then while I'm contemplating
that, we just got word that a man I don't want to I don't want
to give his name. And it's not for any privacy reason. I'm just going to be honest with
you. I don't want to mention I don't I don't want to bring
his name up. He. He moved here. Several years
ago. Because apparently he had been
listening online. And he married one of my daughters. And he really showed himself
to be a good Christian man. And so we accepted him. My daughter has two daughters
and three sons. And this man molested the two
daughters, my granddaughters. his own daughter and uh... naturally uh... you know our daughter told us
and and you know we said you you gotta get away from this
guy uh... she got an ex parte against
him. And, um, you know, they give
you one like in an emergency situation, they'll give just
about anybody an emergency ex parte. But if you want to make
it permanent, you've got it. You've got to show up to court
and show cause why this person needs to stay away from you or,
you know, remember your family or whatever, one of your Children
or whatever. Um, and he would not show up. Um, there are, um, I believe some audio recordings,
uh, of him just about saying everything except just coming
out with a full confession. of what he had done but he did
tell my daughter what he had done and I could tell something
was going wrong because he had dropped out of church and all
of a sudden now when all this pops up now he wants to try to
be this good Christian guy, and what he's trying to do is get
in close with my daughter and her children again. Over a length of time, he was
summoned to court. Sometimes it would have to do
with the ex parte. but also divorce proceedings
taking place at the same time. The last hearing where he was
supposed to show up was May 27th. He didn't show up. His lawyer said, I've not been
able to get in touch with him. So we're thinking, well, that
kind of makes it easy then if he won't show up. It's sort of a default thing
if he won't show up and defend himself. It was told at that last hearing,
May 27th, that he was going to have a court-mandated psychosexual
profile done of him. In other words, he was gonna
have to sit and squirm in his chair and be very uncomfortable
about giving answers about himself and the way he thinks and so
on. And apparently he wasn't willing
to do that. So from May 27th until last Sunday,
two days ago, yeah, nobody had heard from him. Nobody, I mean nobody, we never
heard anything, nothing. He had an ex parte against him. And so during Sunday school,
Sunday, my daughter started getting phone calls from his phone. Of course, she wasn't going to
answer. Because number one, he's not
supposed to be calling her. Number two, if he does call her,
she can't answer it. But then she got a call from
a phone that had the number blocked, so she couldn't see who it was.
She didn't answer it then. Finally, they left a voicemail
on her phone. And apparently, he lived in an
apartment here in town, and the neighbors began to smell something. And when the police went in there,
they found him dead. And it was apparently he had
been in there a long time, a long time, because he was mostly unrecognizable. He was surrounded by The number was in the hundreds of whiskey bottles that had surrounded him. We don't know if he got himself
really, really, really drunk and then took some kind of medication,
some kind of drug, or he just died of alcohol poisoning. I talked to my daughter about
revealing this and she said it was fine. I'm a man of God. And I want everybody to go to heaven. And I am being honest when I
say, I believe God can change someone
even like that. God can change a person like
that. I've seen him do it. But it was obvious that he didn't
want change. He didn't want change, he wanted
to continue. And so obviously there are mixed
feelings in our family. And this is the
first time I'm saying anything to anybody outside of our immediate
family. Most of the people in our church
don't know, but they will of course now. And they're part of me. I don't want anybody to go to hell. I don't want anybody to go to
hell. There is another part of me that can truthfully say, I am
glad that my grandchildren are safe. Now, this is going on the internet
and I know, already know, that people on the internet, they
can say some pretty doggone mean things. You probably will of
me and whatever. I don't care. Do you wanna judge
me or my family? You come be with us. for about a year. And you go through what we go through
in a year's time. Some of it's not so good. So before you decide you're going
to judge me for not weeping and wailing and crying and everything
else, I am relieved that my grandchildren
are out of danger now. Pray for his, he has a dad and
a stepmom, I think, and I don't think he had any siblings. I don't think he did. Pray for them if you want, and
pray for our family as we go through this. We're not going to plan any funeral. If his dad chooses to do so,
that's fine, but we're not going to do that. But just to, if nothing else, this is a good
way to bring up a couple of issues. Number one, be sure your sin will find you
out. Be sure your sin will find you
out. I mean, obviously he was like
this, and I'll just tell you this. The amount of pornography that my daughter
found that belonged to him was staggering. And I want to say to everybody
out there listening to me. Pornography in a man's life almost
always starts in childhood. Almost always. If you have children, and they
have access to the Internet and you're not monitoring that access
or you're not controlling or blocking that access. You've just let you've just opened
the gate for the wolf to come in and steal your son or your
grandson or whatever. OK. It starts in childhood. Then it gets worse. And you would think, well, he's
getting married now, that should take care of that. No, it doesn't. All of you men out there that
are listening to me, Okay, sin has a progression. It starts out with simple little
things that as you go, they get bigger and bigger and worse and
worse and worse until that man has to act out on those
fantasies, on those things, those images. And he will either be chasing
around other women or he will look to a young person to take this out on them. And so it happens a lot. And I wanna encourage all of
the men and even some of the women, but mainly men, I wanna
encourage you Call upon the Lord daily. Don't give up. God won't give
up on you. Don't give up on Him. God has
a remedy for you. God has a plan of action for
you. Okay, and I just, I promise you,
God can take away those things. You know your marriage situation
better than anybody. It may be that your wife could
be a real helper when it comes to that issue. But then again,
it may be that if she ever found out about it or heard about it
or whatever, you're gone or she's gone. You have to you have to talk
to the Lord about that follow his lead Secondly Death is forever Death is forever nothing You just can't get out of it You're
going to die All of us are going to die. What you don't want to do is
take your own life. That's what we suspect is that
he took, he could be alive right now. Obviously, more than likely,
he may end up going to prison. But that's still life. But he chose a different way.
And if. If someone has told you. Oh,
well, you're saved. Yeah, yeah. Once saved, always
saved. So you can kill yourself, you can kill yourself all you
want to, and you'll still go to heaven. Let's look let's look at some
people that took their own life Saul What was Saul's spiritual condition The Bible specifically says that
the Holy Spirit left Saul and an evil spirit, you know what
we'll just we'll just look her up here an evil spirit from the
Lord and Let's see here. Yeah, here we go. Put that up on the screen. But
the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit
from the Lord troubled him. God took his spirit away from
him and he stopped forgiving his sins. That's what he did
to Saul. Okay. And, oh, but I heard, I heard
Dr. So-and-so, he said that, you
know, people who kill themselves, you know, it's, it's, you know,
it's a forgivable sin and, you know, God forgives all sin and
on and on and on. Are you willing, are you willing
to gamble your soul on what some man said? When right here you
have God taking his Holy Spirit from Saul and an evil spirit. Sent to him. That's why he was
always trying to kill David and it eventually led him because
of his his anger and His he finally fell on his own sword To kill
himself What about What about Judas? Judas Iscariot the Bible says
that Satan himself entered into Judas and Once he betrayed Jesus
He took the money Threw it back into the temple said that you
keep your money and he went out and he hung himself and Cursed
is anyone who hangs from a tree. God did that to show us Judas
is not in heaven. And I have had, believe it or
not. I mean, I've read people who
wrote and said, oh yeah, Saul's in heaven because you can't lose
your salvation. And again, are you are you willing
to gamble your soul? On what some guy said when the
Bible gives you two examples right here Two is all you need
But both of these guys and evil spirit Was with them always And it drove them to take their
own life. I hope that you listen to what
God's word says. I know things can get bad. I've
been through some terrible times in my life. Times where I didn't
wanna live. But I'm glad that God kept me. I'm glad that God said, Mike,
whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I was already a Christian, but
God reminded me, Mike, whosoever shall call on the name of the
Lord shall be saved. The thing that there is I mean
there is something that bothers me about it, and it's the idea
that He didn't believe what God said I'm talking about my son-in-law
He did not believe what God said He didn't believe it So I hope that this stops you in your tracks. That's what
I want. I want you to just come to a
screeching halt and say to yourself, you need to turn your life around. you're headed in a bad place. And listen, it goes without saying that there are those who would
do harm to a young person and they would hold a position
in a church. I read an article the other day,
I was gonna read it on this broadcast, but I didn't do it, of a youth
pastor. Listen, youth pastors, not a
fan. I am not a fan of youth pastors. More than one of them has been
caught harming young people. But just recently, this guy,
and he wasn't going after girls, he was going after the boys.
And at one time, he knew that they were investigating him,
so he leaves the state. He goes to stay with his mom
and dad for a while. Until finally they got him and
brought him back. Well now that's a federal, that's
federal crime now. Okay, you're fleeing, you're
going across the state line. And so he's got some big, big
charges against him. And there was multiple, multiple
charges against him. But we're seeing this stuff happen.
over and over and over and over again. So if you ever come visit our
church and say, well, where's your youth program, Matt? Who's
your youth pastor in charge of your youth program? Sorry, we
don't have one. And I'm not gonna apologize for
that. That's just the way I see it. So anyway, I love you all. I appreciate your prayers. But
I mean, obviously, Sunday, there's just no way I could continue.
Life happens. Life happens to preachers. And
so keep us all in your prayers if you would. My health, I'm
worried about my health. So pray for me if you would.
And I appreciate all of you. keeping us in your prayers. Michael's
over in Kenya right now. Undoubtedly, we're going to be
doing another feeding. So help us out with that. Pray
that we can have the money that we need to feed at least 3,000
families, if not more. The need is great and the work
is worthy. And so it doesn't surprise me
when the devil tries to outright destroy this ministry. Doesn't surprise me at all. So
I love you all. I thank you for your prayers,
your love for us. Keep them coming. Just always puts us in a good
mood, doesn't it? Anyway, God bless you all. You're
the reason why we do what we do. And y'all take care.
