My name's Charlie. That's all
you need to know. And I love the Lord. He's good
to us. Amen. That was my daughter right
there. Charlie said that was his up
here, these four. That's mine. I got another one
that plays piano and sings in church. And I thank the Lord
for it. I'd much rather them do that
than anything I know. For all the education you can
get, no good without the Lord. present in your life, amen? Amen,
I love him today. Over in the book of Haggai tonight,
we'll read there. You pray for me, will you? I've
been up, I was up most of the night tossing and turning, couldn't
go to sleep. Amen, had you on my mind. Amen,
early this morning. Couldn't wait to get over here
this evening. I like to sing it, just break loose. Brother
Charlie, preach a while. Everybody just get loose. I'm
like the brother here, Brother Larry and Brother Charlie, if
we're saved tonight, we ought not be afraid of one another.
If I can't amen my brother and encourage my brother while he's
testifying, I'll just keep my seat. Amen. Praise God. It's always good to play ball
with somebody and play back. Ain't that right? You ever played
baseball by yourself? It's always better when somebody's
a-throwing with you, ain't it? Amen. So let's get in there and
let's not worry about who we know and who we don't know. And
the Bible said we didn't know nothing about a man's Savior's
spirit anyway. Amen. If he ain't got the spirit, then
he ain't none of God's anyway. Praise God. They're cold, let
them be cold. You just stay on fire. Amen. I appreciate it. Book of Haggai
tonight, chapter number one. Amen. I just appreciate the Lord,
appreciate everybody being here tonight. If you leave tonight
and you don't know me, you're all right. Amen. If you leave
tonight, you don't know the Lord and Savior as your Savior. Amen. If you don't know Him in
a personal relationship, you've lost it all. Amen. Amen. But if you do, you got it all.
Praise the Lord. Amen. It said in the second year
of Darius the king, In the sixth month, in the first day of the
month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai, the prophet, and to
Zerubbabel, the son of Sheltel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua,
the son of Josedek, the high priest, saying, Thus speaketh
the Lord of hosts, saying, These people say, The time is not come,
the time that the Lord's house should be built, Then came the
word of the Lord by Haggai, the prophet saying, is it time for
you, O ye to dwell in your sealed houses, and this house thy waste? Now therefore, thus saith the
Lord of hosts, consider your ways. You have so much and bring
in little. You eat, but you have not enough. You drink, but you're not filled
with drink. You clothe you. But there is
none more, and he that earneth wages, earneth wages to put in
two, a bag with holes. Thus saith the Lord, consider
your ways. That's where we'll stop reading.
right there tonight. I love the scripture tonight. The scripture speaks to me. Amen. If you want to hear from the
Lord, read his book. Amen. And tonight. But I was thinking about going
back to one verse, just right here in verse 6. It said, You
have so much, and bring in little. You eat, but you have not enough.
You drink, but you are not filled with drink. You clothe you, but
there is none warm. And he that earneth wages, earneth
wages to put into a bag with holes. Amen. Tonight, I'm not
really good. Brother Robbie, a title and a
message tonight. But I want to preach on what
do you have in your bag. Amen. Just for a few minutes
tonight. I might not be before you too
long. But amen, we'll listen about
a time. hear that, hey God, and there's
people here maybe from what I can read, amen, they got kind of
lax, didn't they? I mean, they got comfortable. Amen. We live in a comfortable
time in the church. Speaking of the church life,
amen, people just comfortable in the house of God. I'll tell
you what, messages like last night are to make you uncomfortable. Amen. Because we walk in the
flesh and we need the Word of God. And every time I look in
the Word of God, it's holier than I am. And so I've got to
move up to it tonight. Amen. You pray for me for a minute. But I was thinking about them
bags. Amen. With holes in them. Amen. And
I thought about a time. On the book of John, chapter
number 12. Amen. Verse number 6, we read about
a man who walked with God. Amen. Tonight, a walk with Jesus,
held the money bags. Amen. And the Lord called him
a thief. Amen. He was a thief. Brother,
that's down at Marriott's house. And Mary began to break that
box of our precious hauntment. A man began to gnaw on his feet.
And, oh, my friend, a day no Jew spoke of. Amen, tonight. And he says, I had not just been
gut-tuck and sewed, but he was just greedy on the inside. God
called him a man, I mean, a thief tonight. What a shame it was
for old Judas, my friend, to walk with Jesus and have his
presence near him all the time. I mean, go down to the blind
man's house and Jesus healed the blind man or passed by the
briar and raised the little boy up out of a deaf sleep. Or go down to Judas' house. Amen,
and get the little lady by the hand and raise her up. Amen,
her going down the road there before he got to Jerusalem. There's a woman there with 12
years. Amen, laden, brother, I tell
you, had an issue of blood. And there Judas sitting there
holding a bag. Amen, and he was putting all
that in his bag. Amen, and he saw the miracles
of God, but yet he had holes in his back. He had the creek
in his back and a weakness. Amen, tonight, he was seeing
it all, but his heart was far from it. Oh, my friend today,
let me say tonight, if you die and go to hell, it'll be your
own fault. Somebody said he'll draw through
the blood. No, you won't. It's the blood
of God that touches your life. You'll be free. You'll be saved
and born again. Oh, listen to me tonight. The man that saw all these things,
amen, he was putting them in vain. He seen it all. He lost
it all because they was all in his bag. Amen. Listen to me tonight. Oh, holes in her bag. He said,
you dwelled in your sealed houses. Oh, you dwelled in your paneled
houses. And you care more about yourself than you do the Word
of God. You care more about yourself
than you do the church. Amen. You've come day after day. And maybe you've come to revival.
Or maybe you've come every Wednesday night. Every Sunday morning and
Sunday night. And brother, it's falling out
your bag. You ain't got nothing. You're as dead now as you was
when you walked in. Oh, my friend, today, listen,
we need to fill the breaches in our life. We need to sew them
up. Brother, we need to obtain. We
need to get a hold of it. Father, tonight, and take it
home with us. Apply it to our lives. We can
live forevermore. I'll get free in a minute. Amen. I'm talking about what's
in your bag. Amen. There are people we sit
in the house of God all the time. And the church is run down. And
there's wrenches in walls. And windows are falling in. We
can't figure out where the power of God's at. Yet we're selfish. We'd rather be at the ball field.
We'd rather be down at the basketball court. We'd rather be laying
down there by the swimming pool. Oh, listen to me. And we wonder where the power
of God's with. The power of God ain't with nowhere.
He's at the same place. Where is he? He's sitting on
the right hand of the Father. He's making intercession for
me and you. He ain't with nowhere. He's still
the mediator. He still loves you. He wants
the best for you. What do you have Him to do for
you? Tonight, brother, we are to seal
it up, take it home, amen, and grow by it. Amen. Amen. Amen. Now, you know who's got your
heart. That God you serve has your heart.
Oh listen, Moses went up on the mountain. I think for 40 days
he received the law. And before he got back down to
the bottom, God told him they done sinned. Already broke the
first commandment. with the very thing that God
blessed them with. The earrings and the necklaces
and the gold from Egypt. They took it down there, Brother
Charlie. You know what they did? Oh, Aaron laid it in there. And
Brother, he said, hey, here come a cave. And they began to worship
that cave and say, that cave is what brought us out of Egypt.
I say it's dead. Oh, amen. You hear it in tonight. We need some more Moses. Better
we need some hers. Amen. We need some, I tell you
tonight, we need somebody to bear the burden out the house
of God. We need somebody to strengthen
him. Our brother is feeble-handed.
Oh, I'm telling you today, you hear me, it was Jesus that brought
me wild tonight. It'll be Jesus that takes me
home. With my bank account, it ain't
my job but it's Christ plus nothing. Amen. Oh, we got bags with holes
in them. We're not growing. It's all the
pastor's fault. That old teacher, it's his fault.
We sit in the house of God. A lot of churches I go into now,
you go in, they're playing on their cell phones. If you can't leave that thing
alone for two hours, you take it outside and take a sledgehammer
to it. Why don't you get rid of that?
Amen. Somebody said, I love Jesus.
But you don't love him enough to spend six hours a week with
him. How are you going to live forever? You've got holes in
your mind. There you go. Don't you get worried. I don't know what church you're
from. I don't know where you're visiting from. Don't you get
worried this week. God's wanting to do something
for you. He's handing out bags tonight. He wants you to get
all you want. Amen, listen. You know what a
hole is. It's a breach. It's a kink in
your armor. and the devil has got it to her. You know how? You give in little
by little. It's falling through. You're
losing your power. You're losing your testimony.
You're losing your tear because they're falling out the hole. He's a thief. He saw all that. And yet he went down there and
made a deal with that bunch, that religious crew, them ones
that hated Jesus. Because his certain authority
over them, he was one spoke with power. Where in the world that
come from, CJ? When he stood down there in the
temple at 12 years old and debated with a lawyer. answer their questions. They ain't never seen nothing
like that. That ought to have been their first clue. This is
the Messiah. This is the one that come. Amen. They know what they did.
Stephen said, you stiff neck people. Oh, you listen to me. You've got holes in your back.
He's told you. You've seen the miracles. Hey,
he walked on water. He's done it all. He's found the 5,000. Listen, you've got holes in your
back. Can you hear me out there? There's out there fishing. They've
fished all night and they caught nothing. He went walking to them. He didn't let them go hungry.
He prepared them a meal. I thought about the Savior. There
it was, fish, baking up on the coals. He said, children, have
you any meat? They said, no. We fished all
night. He said, well, here's your bag. He said, come and dine. Amen,
there they was, up on the coast. And he said, hey, boy, just cast
your net on the right side. And when they did, 153 fish about
broke their vessel. Oh, and they pulled them in,
and they sat there and they ate. What more could you want? Somebody
loves you. Somebody feeds you. He cares
for you. Hey! He knows all about you tonight. He knows you're up and down,
and he still loves you! Come on down! Well, because them old Pharisees
and Sadducees and all, all them men, they might have religious
power, They's hung up in offices. Well, there's Dr. So-and-so now.
And here's the old psycho sitter. Amen. They're sitting up there
with their chest stuck out. The Sanhedrin card. All them
men. Didn't know what to do, little
old 12-year-old boy. Amen, but he knew what he was
gonna do. In about 21 and three and a half
more years, he knew exactly what he was gonna do. He's gonna die
on the cross. He's gonna drink the cup of indignation
from me and you. He will take our sins upon him. He's gonna put it in his bag.
He's gonna turn it to the Father. Yee-haw! That's what he come
to do. Tear down the walls in his back. He carried it till God got this
hill. They put him on a cross. He didn't
fight them. He laid down and stretched his
hands out. They drove the spikes through
his hands. Brother CJ threw his precious feet. And they looked
out over the crowd. Oh, they reviled him. They reviled
him. They hated him. Oh, in the book
of Psalms, it said, the bulls of Basham can pass me about. He said, oh, don't stare at me.
I want you to know there's a fight on Calvary that day. There's
a battle. Amen. He loved you so much. Hell
stepped out. Amen defied him that day. But
he looked out over the crowd, and he said, Father, I forgive
them. I forgive them for what they
did. That's the drug king. That's
the drug king. That's the harlot. Listen to that. A to Z. Everyone of us here, no matter
where you come from, Is it really time for us to send it home? We feel sorry for ourselves.
Reach our nation. What about our nation? Jesus
said in this way, you better get your bags ready. We're getting
ready to leave this place. Oh, who's he coming after? Them that love him. He said,
I'll go away and I'll prepare your place. How dare you? Maybe
also. Glory! Better things to come! Resurrection day! Homecoming
day! Sound the trumpet! Sound the
alarm! Get on the wall! Get your bags ready! I'm not about to look through
the keyhole at him much longer. I'm not about to gaze at him
through the lattice much longer. These vibrators know where I'm
at. Oh, come away. Come away, my
fair one. Price has been paid. We've set
around the pirate. You better look at your bag tonight.
Don't let the devil steal what God's trying to get. There ain't no job worthy. There
ain't no football skin worthy. There ain't no baseball worthy.
You can line your children's shelves up with trophies. And
brother, if they ain't got the trophy of a crown to buy them,
they better go to hell. Brother, we better get it right.
Brother, you ain't got but one chance. There ain't another chance
to get it right. When you die, there ain't a thousand
years when you make your mind up. Brother, you better get it
right now. You better dress up now. You better look good for God
now. Brother, I tell you. Amen, I ain't coming to cross
your doctrine. I don't know what you believe. But brother, I'm
going to tell you, when he comes back on the clouds with power
and great glory, it's over. It's over. He ain't coming back
for 2,000 years. He ain't coming back. Peter said,
it's gonna bake like an oven. It's over. It's over. It's over. And if you ain't got
it in the bag, you can't go. Amen. I got it down my mind,
so I'm going to go ahead and say it. Somebody say, what about
them tribulations? You're looking at me. Whoa! Them bunch of dogs. Tellin' our people they can get
right after God come. But they're a bunch of lying
dogs. They can't bark. But I'm gonna
tell you what we ought to do. We're to preach to break their
back. We're to preach to break the devil's throne code on our
people. The doctrine and the Nicolation.
It's all in our churches. Free will, baptism. It don't
matter all down the line. Hey, you can't get right and
live like you want. You have to live like the word
of God says. If it's good for me, it's good
for you. In my head, preacher, you crossed
me. You're crossed then. That's all I know. That's false
advertising. That's false doctrine. Old Paul
said there'd be any come to you and preach any other gospel.
He said not, he said, hey, you don't have nothing to do with
them. You get rid of them people. You don't have, oh, listen to
that. He said, who'd bewitched you
that you should not believe the truth I'm telling you tonight?
Friend, that's where we are today. A lot of empty sacks. Dead churches. and dead churches. I ain't done yet. Over the book
of Acts, correct me if I'm wrong, 26, King Agrippa, some in that
area. So he stood before Felix, old
Paul. Festus said he was mad. Felix shook. He said, I'll call
for you in a more convenient time. That's where some of you
are right now. You've got a hole in your back.
You've got a hole in your back. I'm telling you, Tom, some of
them show up on Easter, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas.
We gotta come in Christmas. Everybody gets free gifts in
Christmas. Oh, listen, and then Halloween,
half the time, amen, the church celebrates the devil's day. I'm
gonna tell you something, like, where's our backbone when we
can't let the world in and expect to win our centerpiece? We can't
be like them, better than expect them to want what we got. Candy's so important. Take your
paycheck, honey. Go down there to Walmart and
load them up. Lock them in a room and let them
eat. If I lost you right there, I'm
not sorry. Then we get down to Agrippa. He said, sir, he didn't
disagree with Paul. None of them disagreed with Paul. I never read where he called
him back. and said, tell me the story again.
There's one thing old Paul never failed to do. When he told the
story, the light just kept getting brighter. It just kept getting
brighter. That's the way it ought to be
with me and you tonight. Every time we tell the story,
he ought to get brighter and bigger in our life. Get down at Walmart. We don't
want to talk about the Lord down there. I do. I ain't no perfect
man. Boy, you want to talk about Jesus,
we'll talk about it. Got down to Agrippa. He had a
big old sack, old King Agrippa. Sit there and heard the whole
story. Then he said at the end of the story, he said, Paul,
almost out persuades me to be a Christian. But I never read
where he was persuaded. You hear me tonight. I never
read where old Grimper got persuaded. Hey, I never read where old Grimper
believed in the resurrection. If you don't believe in the resurrection,
you can't be saved. You're lost without God. The
whole bottom of your sack's busted. There be no resurrection that
Jesus' death was in vain. And we all know that's false.
There's evidence sitting all over the church. There's drug
addicts, alcoholics, people that's been in jail. Some of you women
may have been a whore. I don't know. But I know I was
no whoremonger. Where I come from, in a backslidden
condition, amen, tied and going to hell, knew better than to
be where I was at. The host, I lost it, amen. My
joy was gone, my fear was gone. What can you do with a man or
a woman that ain't got fear of God? You see them stickers around
on people's cars? No fear. If Jesus, the Holy Ghost,
come down there, hey, and park yourself in front of them, you're
talking about fear. They'd fall just like Paul and
him. Them old men fell, didn't they?
That's dead men right there. The light shines so bright. Ain't
no Paul can hear that voice, but he cannot see no more. But somebody wrote a song years
ago, I see much better now that he struck me blind. His sack wasn't full at all,
but on that day, it began to get hemmed in. And he began to
listen. And he said, go down there. I've
told a man about you. He was over there in the house,
wasn't he? He said, go down there to the street called Street.
He said, I've commanded a man. He's going to open your eyes.
Paul went down there after his name was changed from Saul to
Paul, a brand new man. He wasn't locking prisoners.
A Christian's up no more. He wasn't kicking the door in
at the temple. Thank God he wasn't whipping
them. He wasn't dragging them out by the hair no more. I'm
telling you tonight, God made a change! You still hang out to places
you used to hang out? You never got born again. Oh, you hear me right now? Listen
to that. I got rid of a boy named Sue.
I got rid of a tear in my beard. It don't edify God. It don't
edify my spirit. It edifies the flesh. I'm telling
you tonight, hey, whatever you see, that'll be the strong one. Got hoes in your bag. Rippa said, I'm almost out of
persuasion. Sit there in the great power
of that testimony. I've got 10 people right now.
They can come sit under the power of God. It don't matter who's
preaching, who's singing. It don't even bother them no
more. Charlie, I got them to come in
and get right for three weeks, and you never see them again.
They still got holes in their back. I got some old mothers
that show up every time the church doors are open, limping in, rolling
in on wheelchairs, can't hardly go. Husband's at home dying sick,
and here comes mama through the back door, and she says I'm waiting
on my miracle. Kevan said I don't know whether
he's gonna heal him here or he's gonna take him home and heal
him back. She said but I'm looking for
my miracle. Hey man, that sound like a woman.
with her back held down. Something ain't wasted in that
life. She's remembered when God loaded
her. Hey, listen, that's what we need
in the house of God. Why do you leave defeated? Paul, Oh, spent three years in the
backside of Arabia learning who Jesus was. Learning how to kill his flesh.
Learning how to love. A man that was so hard, he could
quote the law frontward and backward. He could quote the Old Testament,
folks. That's what it took to be in the Sanhedrin court. Yes,
sir. You had to have knowledge, grew
up at the feet of Gamiel, but here he's at the feet of Jesus.
Say, teach me to love. to teach me to be a different
man. It's happened, church. When we
first got born again, we said, Lord, we're going to do whatever
you tell us. I'm going to go every time the door's open. I'm
going to go to prayer group. I'm going to go to Bible study.
Now you can't pay them to come. Now you can't have a big enough
pizza party to draw them in. Won't happen. Paul said, I've counted everything
about me has done. I know Him. I'm with Him. The gospel don't bore people
that loves the Lord. The word comes in the foolish
as a preacher. That's what it took to save me. 1989, in Valdez, North Carolina,
in a little cottage prayer meeting, a little old saying of God, I
know she's dead. and gone on, but God had a plan
for me. Down there at night, amen, by
the little recliner, that little lady, amen, they bowed with me,
prayed me, tried to help me. I told the Lord I don't want
to go to hell. I don't want to go to hell. I
need you. Listen, he saved me by his marvelous
grace. Give me something worth living
for. I'm telling you tonight, it's
the best gift you can ever have. Two individuals making their
way. They're approaching Jordan. Robbie crossed it. Life's not
about the stones. The memorials were set up in
their lives. They crossed, they set up the
memorial. And there's a man in that same crossing named Akin. He's carrying a bag with holes
in it. Been through all the victories, but he's fixing to forfeit everything
he ever had. Because of the lust of the eye. There's three angels. Lust of
the eye, lust of the flesh. I'm proud of life. I want to
tell you something. You can work 100 hours a week. Preacher, I can buy the best
bed, but you can't buy sleep. That's right. Preacher, I can buy the best
steak, but you can't buy an appetite. That's right. Preacher, I got
the best doctor in Charlotte, Sy-Winston, Salem, Asheville,
wherever you go. but you cannot buy healing. Does anybody know where that
comes from? I believe there's somebody here
that does. Can we say his name? Can we say his name? Jesus. That's where it all comes
from. All good and perfect gifts come
from God. Aiken made his trip. Up the ridges, up the plains.
We go down by the walls of Jericho. On that last day, they sound
the trumpets, they shout. The walls fall down, go in. Now
he carries out the Babylonian garment. Where'd you go? And hides it under his tent.
His bag's busted. And he's got a little boy over
there. And he's got a little girl. And he's got a wife. I don't know how many children
he had. I don't know what all he had. But you get that picture
in your mind right now of the head of a home. Well, we need
heads in our homes. Man, you don't need to let your
wife tell your children about God. You need to. Hey, Mama ought
not be the only one reading her Bible at home. Daddy, well, I
ain't no preacher. Well, the Bible said this. Hey,
in the book of Malachi, them that love me spoke often of me.
They spoke often one another. They had something in common. Man will supply for his own house
is worse than infidel denying the faith. You know what an infidel
is? Sinner. Okay, Aiken had his family,
his room. Went down to a little place called
AI. We don't need to take no more
than 2,000 down there. Well, they're just little. Cost them 36 million. They chased
him, that little old city, chased him to the going down of the
sun. disgraced because of sin. Sin,
where their sin at? There's a reproach. It's a reproach
to any nation. We just put the blame where it
is. A lot of people carrying sacks with hoes in them. It don't matter what kind of
preacher you got. It don't matter if you got a
five-star choir leader. When they're sinning in the camp,
they ain't no victory. When you got hoes in your personal
life, it affects others. If you've argued all the way
to church, you ought to come to the altar. That's all right,
we've been there, ain't we? Ain't none of us prattin' wings,
are we? CJ, I've been there and had to
repent and tell my wife I'm sorry. She told me, I'm gonna tell you
something, the devil will get in your home and tear it all
down. Carried all to pieces. He'll get in your church, Charlie.
He'll get in your church. Little secret sins, little dark
things you think nobody realizes. I'm gonna tell you, he'll show
up on you on Sunday. He'll show up on you on Wednesday. He'll show up on you. You hear
me tonight. I guess I dread summer worse
than any month, any month of the year. Everybody's gone. Even when it ain't vacation time,
they're all gone. They are out to take a vacation.
It's all right. Put God first. I've been there
to enjoy the fruits of your labor. That's all right. I ain't telling
you not to do that. But I'm telling you tonight,
folk, life ain't a vacation. If you don't think reality, go
down the road to the nearest funeral home and see if some
family's having reality tonight. It ain't always going to be somebody
else in that bed. It's going to be yours. It's
going to be your grandbaby. It's going to be your children. Let's don't come in here in this
revival and look at each other and dare one another to do something.
Praise God. Who's a child of God? That's
what I say. Praise the Lord. You come in
and say, God, what do you want me to do? What can I do? Come in here with your sack busted.
Tuck O'Achen out there and his whole family, everything he owns. See, Jay, they found that treasure. Joshua had to bring every man,
every family. He got to Achan, and he said,
what have you done? Y'all knows who you are. What
have you done? He didn't hide it, did he? He
said, I've hid it. He said, I did it. It's in my tent. It's buried. You can't hide nothing from God. Pastor said, go get his family.
Could you imagine being his children that day? Could you imagine being
his wife saying, Aiken, what have you done? Daddy, what have
you done? Mama, what's Daddy done? What,
I gotta die because of what Daddy did? You better hear me tonight. Daddy, you better take time for
God. You better take time for God. Quit worrying about fitting in. We don't fit in. We're not of this world. A few
more minutes, I'll be done. Mama, what did daddy do? Honey,
he had holes in his bag. What's that mean, Mom? He lusted
after the things of the enemy. Ain't that the picture of the
current situation in a lot of our churches? Preacher, I ain't
doing that. Well, say amen then. He does the situation, see that?
They don't like one preacher, they get rid of him. They'll
go get a man, they'll find a church or somebody to tell them what
they want to hear. They ain't interested in growing
in God. He requires holiness. He requires
sanctification and being set apart. Where we at? The majority of our churches
lined up. I used to say, you know what,
people died and went to hell. It'd be their fault. But I'm going
to tell you, I wouldn't blame them. Some of these churches, I wouldn't
take my dead dog to. They got you what you're going
to do on the program. They got it all figured out. They can't say good job, Jesus. They say good job program leader. No power. In a globe of destruction. Home's going to hell. Mama's going to hell. And little
Johnny and Jenny's going too. I went to a funeral years ago. My wife's cousin killed himself,
took a gun and blew the side of his face off. Couldn't open
his coffin. I went in there and it made just
sense. Rebel flags hanging in the corner,
it said highway to hell. Draped over the boy's coffin,
mama signed it. It said party in hell, I'll be
there soon. Proud of you, my little redneck
boy. Church, we gotta hem it up. We better be keeping these things,
these meetings, this spirit. Listen, tonight, folks, we better
hold them sacred. If it's good enough for my ma
and papa, it's good enough for you. Your mama and papa might
open this church, but they ain't done enough to get you there.
My papa preached the gospel, my great grandpa preached the
gospel, my daddy preached the gospel, but it did not call me. Mama didn't send me. Paul said, I ain't been called
a man, and I ain't been called a man. He said, but I can tell
you who called me. It's named Jesus. I try my best, listen guys, to
understand where you sit tonight. I've been there with holes in
my back, with no desire to go to church. Sit on the front pew
every Sunday at the church we attended. Give my halfway amen,
not even go at prayer. Say, Lord, help me, forgive me,
amen. Got in a rut. Then got where I didn't want
to go. You done that in your ministry?
Absolutely. All right, well, praise the Lord. That's what I say. Somebody come
get a piece, that's all I got. I'm gonna tell you tonight though. They said, daddy, what did you
do? And they lined them up down there
and they stoned them to death and the Bible said they heaped
up a great heap of stone. That remains today and they call
that Valley Acre, which means trouble. We're in trouble. We're in trouble. We're in trouble. What are we going to do? Preacher,
it's just a little hole. It's going to get bigger. That little old lady had the
issue of blood for 12 years. She put something in her bag
one day. They said, there's a man named Jesus. He's a healer. You
spent everything you had. Try him. You know what she did? She went out there and she believed
what she received. And she went out there, CJ, and
pressed her way through the crowd. and got her healing and the fountain
of her blood dried up after 12 years. It didn't cost her a dime. All it did was cost her up on
herself, pressing through the crowd, getting to the mace. That's what it'll cost you tonight. Akin would take it back. Agrippa
would be persuaded. Judas would have hemmed his bag
up. he would have got down on his
knees and anointed Jesus' feet with that same anointment. If
he knew that after he sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, the
price of a slave caused him to find himself at the end of a
rope with his bowels gushed out on the ground. Somebody said,
where did he go? Where do you think he went? He said, I've called 12 ones
to the devil. What did he do with Judas? He
gave him a chance. He parked him right beside him
and tried to show him a better way. God's done you the same. You've come to the house of God. He said, hey, I've given you
a chance. You don't have to live the way
you're living. You don't have to die and go
to hell. You don't have to be like the
rest of the world. You can be different. You can have a bag
full. Have your heart full. I tell
you what we need to do, sew them H-O-L up. E-H-O-L-E-S. Sew those holes up. and become W-H-O-L-A. If you're whole, you won't have
no holes. Will I struggle? Yes, at times
we will. Sometimes they're low to get
heavy. Sometimes we won't know if we can make it or not. But
we know for one thing, the Spirit's told us to come unto Him, all
you that labor and are heavy laden, and I'll give you rest.
How long's it been since you've cried? How long's it been since
you've sang? How long's it been since you've
shared your testimony? Where's your tears went? Where's
that testimony? Where's that joy you used to
have? Where? Where? Where? Where'd it go? Looked up here at them little
children last night singing in the choir. Charlie, you know
what I asked God? I said, what do you want me to
give them? What can I give them? I want
to help. Robbie preached last night. He
wants to help. You don't have to know us, regardless
of who we are and our titles. Men, don't be afraid to mind
the Lord. If I get jealous, I'll get right. I don't care how far we drove,
you're worth it tonight. God's worth it. Your soul's worth
it. If I don't preach there another
night, if you get what you need, praise God. Men, please obey the Lord. Will you? I realized a long time ago, if
God don't preach, a man can't. It takes him. What daddy do? Mama, what daddy do? On judgment day, daddy, will
your kids look at you and say, daddy, what you do? You didn't tell me about Jesus.
You never mentioned him to me. You take me to church, but you
only went once a month. You only went on homecoming.
You only went on Easter. What's wrong? Why didn't you
tell me about this man? Doesn't that mom and pop always? Now we can't go. Why? There's a lot of naked sitting
in the house of God everywhere across our country. If it's you
tonight, you might as well suck it up and come on. Get it right
by the mercy of God, by the Spirit draw. You can't get right just
when you want to. It'll take the Holy Ghost drawing
you. It'll take conviction. We need a good dose of conviction
in our life. You can't blame the homosexual
when you lie it on your TVs. Take your kids to the mall, drop
them off for $20. Expect them not to pick up the
worldly things. My mama used to say, if you water
the dogs, you'll get the fleas. She said, if you make a bed,
son, you're going to lay right there. I'm not trying to be critical,
honey, but there's a reason. There's a reason we fish all
night and catch nothing. We're just about like Peter,
James, and John. After Jesus' death, after his
ascension back to heaven, the Lord's gone. You know where they
went? Right back where they were. They went back fishing. Peter's
out there naked. When Jesus came, he put his fisherman's
coat on, didn't he? I'm gonna tell you something,
Jesus sees you all the time. We've still got one on the order,
there's time. I ain't sure you don't make loan or order calls. Man, I'm gonna tell you tonight,
I would leave and ready to meet God. Holes in my bank. Been around the goodness of God
all my life. Still die and go to hell, what
a shame. Member of the church, what a shame. Dink, what a shame. Long later, what a shame. Church is full of them. This fellow, this young man,
this brother's still praying. You got time when he's done,
I'm done. I'm gonna turn it back over to him. You cannot see that
hand of grace and mercy standing out in your life. You know when
you sing this old song, if Jesus comes tomorrow, what then? If
the skies turn black as midnight in the middle of the day, somehow
you knew that Jesus would soon be on his way. Would you still
be sleeping? Would you still be nodding off
in church? Would you not be praying? Would it take you a month or
Sundays to tell him all your sins? Jesus comes tomorrow. What then? I want to thank you moms that comes
without dad. I want to thank you dads that
come without mom. I want to thank you grandparents
that bring your grandchildren to church. You raised these kids
right, but they won't bring you grandchildren, you bring them.
Thank you. Thank you! One day in heaven, you're worth it. We appreciate you. The preachers
appreciate you. Every time you're faithful, God
just appreciates you. Let's put it in our bag. Let's take it home. Let's grow. Let's have revival, man. That's why we come. I didn't
come over. I could have had a meeting at
Princeton. I want to have revival with you. Woo! I love you. God bless you.
