And we're happy to see you, you that are watching us in your home. We want you to feel we're connected to your heart. And praying that the Lord will richly bless our service tonight. We welcome the Acenas family tonight. They are still in New Bataan. The families of Sir Paul Acenas, welcome. Okay. Kindly open your Bible with me tonight. Book of Exodus. Exodus chapter 33. Exodus 33. So, welcome to the Asenas family in New Bataan. I hope you have your Bible with you tonight. Exodus 33, verses 1-23. Open your Bible, please. Exodus 33, verses 1-23. Exodus 33, verse 1. And the Lord said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I swear unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it. Verse 2, I will send an angel before thee, And I will drive out the Canaanite, and the Amorite, and the Hebite, and the Hittite, and the Parasite, and the Hebite, and the Jebusite, unto a land flowing with milk and honey. For I will not go up in the midst of thee, for thou art a stiff-necked people, lest I consume thee in the way." God says in verse 3, Okay, lakaomo di kumoban senua. And when the people heard these evil tithings, they mourned, and no man did put on his ornaments. For the Lord had said unto Moses, saying unto the children of Israel, ye are a stiff-necked people, I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment and consume thee, Therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the Mount Horeb. And Moses took the tabernacle and pitched it without the camp afar off from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of the congregation. And it shall come to pass that everyone which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the come. When it came to pass, when Moses went out of the tabernacle, that all the people rose up and stood every man at his tent door and looked after Moses until he was gone into the tabernacle. And all the people, in verse number nine, And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand. at the tabernacle door. And all the people rose up and worshiped every man in his tent. And the Lord spoke unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp. But his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. And Moses said unto the Lord, See, Thou sayest unto me, Bring up these people, and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight, and consider that this nation is thy people." And he said, my presence, praise the Lord for that. It seems the Lord has changed his mind. My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Thank you for the word of God tonight, reminding us of the importance of your presence in our lives, your presence in our individual homes, in our families, your presence in our ministry, in your presence among your people, your presence in the midst of the church. And right now we long for the presence of God. Lord, we humble ourselves before thee. We want to feel the presence of the Lord working in a mighty way Through Thy Word, through the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen and Amen. That is what we are praying tonight, that the presence of God will be present in our homes. Amen. We don't just go to church, but we go home and we feel the presence of God. The question is, it's not an emotional thing, actually. It's something that you know. because of the Holy Spirit of God, because of the Word of God, and because of the blessings of the Lord. The wonderful promise of His presence. The wonderful promise of His presence. In verse 14 and 15, Exodus 33, 14 and 15, and he said, at first God says, you go ahead, But I will not go with you, God says. Can you imagine that? But now the Lord seems to have changed his mind a little bit here. And said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said to Moses, If thy presence go not with me, please Lord deliver me. Carry us not up hence. We want to stay here. The wilderness is so dangerous. The wilderness is so difficult. And these great people, millions of people, you know Lord, I will not dare take a step from here. Please do not take us up from hence. Now he said, my presence shall go with you, thank God, I will give you rest. And look at verse number 12, number 1, the presence of God was sought by Moses. It was sought by Moses to enable him in obeying God's command for him. There was a clear command from the Lord and he wanted to obey. He knew the commission, the task was so great. Humanly speaking, there is nothing you can do about it. Moses said unto him, in verse number 12, Moses said unto the Lord, See thou sayest unto me, based on what God has told him, Bring up these people, and thou shalt not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. And the promise was sought in the face of a great commission. How could Moses bring up these people without the powerful, the guiding presence of the Lord? If you have 1,000 members, you have 1,000 members with different views in life. And here in Moses' time, there are more or less 3 million people. And you work with them every day. This is in the midst of a wilderness. And with all of the old folks, with all of the young babies and young children, with all of the sick, with them, how can you do the work of God without His presence? And as a well-known preacher has said, God's bidding are his eneblings. Remember this, God will always provide. God will not lead you in a way certain thing, wala ebalonginong to provide, where to provide the resources for you. His presence is always associated with his command and demands of the Kinabuwi. Look at how hard it was to lead the people of Israel. And we recall in chapter 5, for example, in chapter 5, let me give you something here. In chapter 5, verse number 22, In chapter 5 of the book of Exodus, Moses tried to go to Pharaoh, ask for his permission, and the result was negative. And so, as a result, Pharaoh forced the slaves, the Israelites. And those Israelites started blaming Moses. And so chapter 5 verse number 20, chapter 5 and look at verse number 22 Can you imagine? Why is it that has sent me For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil unto these people, neither hast thou delivered thy people at all. Pag kadungog ni Pharaoh nga na sila'y plano nga musibak, ipa himo niya nga lisod ang ilahang trabaho. And naturally, people react to Moses. Moses of Dul, of Gino. And what I'm trying to say is this. The journey of Gino's journey is not for you if there is no commitment. It is not for you anymore. Because the farther it goes, the longer it goes, the more work Gino did. And I'm not here to scare people to surrender to full-time work. I'm just here telling you to prepare your heart because this is a real battle. It will involve a real battle. If you look at the circumstances, if you focus your mind to the circumstances, surely you will be defeated, but you look at the promise of God. You don't concentrate yourself on the circumstances. You focus yourself on the promise of G-d. There are a few verses I'd like to share with you. Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 please. In the book of Deuteronomy chapter 31 and you may want to take note of these verses. Deuteronomy 31 look at verse number 8. 31 and verse number 8. God is the Lord and the Lord he that is he is that that go before thee he will be with thee he will not fail thee neither forsake thee fear not neither be dismayed I like that the Lord will go before you yes there are battles but the Lord will go before you Exodus 13 verse number 21 please Exodus 13 verse number 31 or 21 Exodus 13 verse number 21 and the Lord went before them the presence of God by day in a pillar of cloud of a cloud to lead them to lead them the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light so to go by day and by night Inikagabi'i katong panganod na nagsunod-sunod sila mahimo siya nga kalayo. Mahimo siyang suga para kanila. Inikadlaw na himo siya nga pandong sa ilagi kan sa init. Now for 40 years, katong pillar of fire and pillar of cloud has faithfully guided them. And sometimes kinapangitan natong kinu, but the Lord manifest Himself But you can see it through the manifestation of His power. God reveals His way. And it is so hard to lead the people or to engage the works of the Lord, but God is there. A few days ago, I asked the Lord, are we going to start our multipurpose gym? And I know the consequences. I know you have to spend time there. I know you have to do this and that. Financially, and the rough estimate, the amount is huge. and the process of looking up one possible while the man feeling they are feeling unsettled about the process of all the money because of and that would require a five-hundred notes the five-hundred, and I'm in the back of the mind and the ISP the supplier of all, but I would be long enough and I didn't want to stop, but I know I'm in the middle of the city, but I wouldn't stop, but I knew that somebody supposed to come out of the pool for the full four times 500 but on the left of the state of 2000, but the 500 the loss of a budget of 1,000,000 of the local court how can we do it And until I prayed, Lord, yes, we're going, we're pursuing this project, but I will not, we will not do this work without the promise of your presence. Without the promise of your presence. Without the promise of your presence. And but thank the Lord, he has promised to bless us. We must continually ask by faith. His all-sufficient grace to sustain us in doing His will. 2 Corinthians 9 verse 8. God is able to make all grace, all grace abound toward you, that ye always having all sufficiency in all. You know, the Holy Spirit is wise, wise, wise enough in putting the word all, repeatedly all. All, meaning to say when God starts moving your life, He will enable you. Because God puts His integrity there, His promises there. God is able to make all grace abound towards you. That ye always, having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. Amazing that the other day, I was at a camp, and I saw this feeling. It was like I was in the woods. Amazing. This applies to us. How the Lord will work. In 2 Corinthians 5, chapter 3, verse 5, not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves, but our sufficiency is the Lord. I can I can almost sympathize with Moses. I can understand Moses. First 40 years of his life, he was trained in the University of the Sun to be the next pharaoh, to become the number one person in the world, literally. The University of the Sun is the first one to have discovered that the earth is round. They were the ones who had discovered some of the structural designs. Look at their pyramids until now. It was in that university that they developed the best embalming materials. And it was in that place Moses was learned in all wisdom. the survival of the Egyptian learning. He felt he was ready for it. And most likely, Jacob and Ambram kept on telling him, you will be the right person. We feel it, we know it's by faith. You will be the savior of our nation. You are going to be the deliverer. And somehow that has created faith in Moses. But at the same time, it has also created self-confidence on his part. He said, I can do it. I am here. One day, a Jew, he loved an Egyptian, so he just literally killed. He said, I can set you free with my own strength. As a result, he fought in the middle of the desert for another 40 years. Another 40 years. And probably during those 40 years, he said, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't defeat him. Why? Why? And then later on in our time today, Moses understood. Without the presence of God, without the grace of God, no one can do the work of God. Thank the Lord. That is why during this time, at first, but you know how carefully Moses sought the presence of God. He begged for the presence of God. When he was 40 years old, Graduated from the University of the Sun, he felt he can do it. He was strong enough to do it. But now, at the age of 18, another 40 years, he had 120 years. Moses carefully sought. Now please, if your presence will not go with us, I will not dare take one step forward. But now he's a learned man as far as God is concerned. He has graduated in the university that God has allowed him to learn. Now we can ask ourselves today, what can his presence do to us? Why is it so so important for Moses. And for us today, why was it so important for Moses had earnestly begged for it before he leads the people to go forward. Well, look at Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 15. Deuteronomy chapter 18, chapter 8, I mean verse 15 up to verse number 19. Who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness. Great and terrible wilderness. I wish not to do those again. They were exposed there. And they kept on traveling every day. If you move out of the pillar of fire, at night, they will move out. If they have a conflict, they will move out. Even at evening time, they will move out. They have to follow. God was guiding them to the pillar of fire. So they were exposed. Look at verse 15 again. Who led thee through the great wilderness and terrible wilderness. and where fiery serpents, scorpions, and drought, where there was no water, who brought the fourth water out of the rock of Flint. And can you imagine Sadabo City if we run out of water for three days? Totally, there is no water in Sadabo City, only sewage in the city. And there will be commotion in the city. This, this, this people have reached at least 3 million people now. This is the biggest problem now. The complainants, complainers are now here. And the murmurers are now here. And every aspect of Madungan, Moses Pirmiya Madungan, Moses Pirmiya Madungan, is making my head explode. You know? And then it goes on in verse 16, "...who fed thee in the wilderness with manna which thy fathers knew not, and he might humble thee." And can you imagine? It wasn't an easy way for them. But thank God, kundi nato i-recognize ang presensyo sa gino. I said, Lord, iku manna sa pulpito unless I am assured of your presence. I would never stand behind this pulpit. I will be preaching not only to the people in the NASA church, I will literally be exposing myself, open, without your blessing Lord, without your precious Lord. Number one, the presence of the Lord is always a place of absolute safety, absolute security. If there is the presence of God, remember this, you have absolute. When you say absolute, you enjoy divine security. Yes, what shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Boy, thou art with me, the presence of the Lord. And number two, the presence of the Lord is always preserving and enabling. Hebrews 13 verse 5, For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 2 Timothy 4 verse 16 and 17, At my first answer, Paul says, No man stood with me, but all men forsook me. He was alone. I pray that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, but all men forsook me. I pray that God may not be... No. He said, The Lord stood with me. That's enough. Can you imagine standing in the Roman court and with all of the tiger looks and being accused of arson and that actually led to his head, you know, being beheaded? He was there but Paul says, I am so amazed. Why? Because I felt the presence of the Lord. The Lord was with me. Now, and there's a fiery furnace. And I said, did we not cast three men? He said, no, I see four men. Loose. And the fourth man is like the Son of God. What does it mean, the presence of the Lord? The presence of the Lord. God himself made the guarantee or the promise of his presence to different, at least important aspects of life. You know God has put his presence in this book. You don't share this book, you don't preach this book, you never share the word of this book without the promise of the presence of the Lord. When you preach, God's presence goes through this world. Why? Because the Bible says, And the Bible says in Isaiah 55, look at verse 11. Isaiah 55 and verse number 11. This is God's promise. If we faithfully preach the word of God, Isaiah 55, look at verse number 11. Isaiah 55, verse number 11. In your Bible, please. Isaiah 55 and verse number 11. Let me check here. Isaiah 55 and verse number 11. There it says, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I have pleased, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I have sent it. You go ahead and share the Word of God. You go ahead and preach the Word of God. God's presence will go with His Word. God's presence will always go with His Word. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven, God says. He that goeth forth and weepeth, scoffing, that seeth not the Word of God, shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing tears within. What does it mean? God's presence will go with the Word of God, and God will allow it to accomplish as He has pleased and as I have intended it to be. You see, God's presence now is promised through the Word of God, that goes with the Word of God. God's presence in the Bible, we find, goes with the nation of Israel. Until now, Israel is still Israel. In spite of all the nations that surround it. There is Jordan, there is Lebanon, there is Egypt. They could easily cast it down. But why is it that Israel is still Israel today? Because God's presence goes with Israel. Number 2. Number 3. God's presence will go with this man, the man of God. They shall not, any man, be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life. As I was with Moses, I will be with thee. I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. And then God's presence will go with his church. God's presence will go with his church. Matthew 16 verse 18, And upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. In Acts 9 verse number 5, And the soul of Tarsus, he has tried by all means to destroy the church, but the Lord has told him, It is hard for thee to kick against the priest. Saul, it is hard for thee to kick against the Prince." Attempts had been made repeatedly against these four things, against the Word of God, against the man of God, against Israel, against the Church, but God's presence is promised with these four things. God's presence is promised. His promises go with these things. And the Bible says, the angel of the Lord. Look at Acts 12. A man tried to destroy the early church. His name was Herod. He wanted to kill the preachers. He wanted to destroy the church, but the Lord dealt with him. The angel of the Lord smote him, and he was eaten by worms. Josephus says, after five days, That's how the presence of the Lord can deal with those that are enemy. Now, number three, how can we fully feel the presence of God? Now, when was the presence of God given to Moses? In what way, in what particular way may we see the presence of God? First of all, it was given in answer to a cry, a desire that was infinitely pleasing God. You see, Moses prayed and God gave him his princess. God assured him his princess and said, Moses, I will not go with you. These people are stricken people. But later on, because Moses prayed and begged and begged to God, God said, I will go with you. He prayed. There is a psalm, we have the prayer of David, Psalm 25, and seeking for the presence of God in his life, Psalm 25 verse number 1, unto thee O Lord do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee. Let me not be ashamed. Let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed. Let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Show me thy ways, O Lord, and teach me thy paths. I can imagine David singing, Unto thee, O Lord. Do I lift up my soul unto Thee, O Lord? Do I lift up my soul, O my God? I trust in Thee, let me not be ashamed. Let not mine enemies triumph over me. Show me Thy ways, O Lord. Teach me Thy paths. Show me Thy ways, O Lord. Teach me Thy paths, O my God. I trust in Thee. Let me not be ashamed. Let not mine enemies triumph over me. It was given in answer to a cry, a desire that was infinitely pleasing God. Go to the Lord. In David, he prayed. Verse 1, he expresses his desire unto God. Unto Thee, O Lord. To Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. In verse 2, he expresses his dependence upon God. Oh my God, I trust in Thee. And when you pray that kind of prayer, when you direct your soul to God, When you just simply, Lord, I empty myself of my own strength, my own ability, my own way. Lord, I direct my soul and my faith, I believe in You, Lord. That's the prayer where God reveals His presence, same on Kennebue. Verse 4 and verse 5, he begs God's direction. He was asking direction from God in the way of duty. He prays to God, Lord, teach me. Verse number 4, it says there in Psalm 35 verse 4, Show me thy ways, O Lord, teach me thy path, lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation. On thee do I wait all the day. Please enable me. In verse number 13, 25 verse 13, his soul shall dwell at ease and his seed shall inherit the earth. And he continued praying to God, praying to God. In this prayer, as I close, there are four God-honoring requests. There are four God-honoring requests. Upat, kabutan ng dipangayo, nasigurado mo hatak ng kalimayaan si duno. Number one, he prayed that the guidance of God might be given. Going back to our text, in verse number 13, Exodus 33, in verse number 13. Lord, you should have mercy Verse 13, Now therefore I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight, and consider that this nation is thy people. To the young prophet, he prayed that the guidance of God might be given him. Show me thy way, that I may know thee, that I might find grace in your sight. Lord, I am the leader, humanly speaking, but go ahead Lord, you be the one to lead us. Number two, that the presence of God might be known. If thy presence go not with us, God said my presence shall go with you. And in the strength of this promise, Moses wished to go. His presence is the protection. And it was shown in the Pillar of Fire. If there is no presence of the Lord, they will never advance. For 40 years. Sometimes, those who are faithful to the Lord will stay for one month. They will remain faithful for one month. Sometimes, they will go astray. They kept on moving and they were guided. Number three, that the power of God might be manifested. In verse number 16, For wherein shall it be known that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? Is it not that thou goest with us, so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from the people that are upon the face of the earth. How can the people surrounding us know? First of all, your guidance, your presence, and then lastly, that the glory of God might be seen. Verse number 18, Verse 18, and he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. Show me thy glory. Show me thy glory. If you preach the word of God, you can tell if people are blessed or not. You can tell if it has worked in the lives of people. You can always tell that. His presence means His goodness. His presence, remember this, verse number 19, and he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. You deserve it. You deserve it. His presence assures them the shelter of His hand. What did Nehemiah say? The hand of my God was good to me. The good hand of God. And here in Moses' time, God says, I will cover you with my hand. With my hand. The presence of the Lord. We want the presence of God to overshadow us. We want to feel the presence of God in our lives. In every endeavor of life, you do not want to start anything in your life. You don't want to start any type of endeavors in life, whether it's business, whether it's marriage, whatever you do in life, you do not dare start anything without the presence of God. If the Lord will not go with me, please God, carry me not uphills. I want the presence of God in my life. I want to have the presence of God in my family. And I want to see the presence of God in my church. Heavenly Father, thank you for the Word of God tonight. Thank you for the assurance of your presence in our lives. Thank you for your blessings. Your presence is our enablement. Your presence is our strength. Your presence is our safety. Absolute security. Bless Lord tonight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen and amen.
