If you have your Bible, turn 2 Corinthians chapter 11 with me this morning, please. And verse number 4. 2 Corinthians chapter 11 and verse 4. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Father, I pray, Lord, that you'd anoint your word as it goes forth from the mouth of this messenger. In thy name I pray, amen. For a long time I've been preaching about how things are going to become, how they're going to be while they're there. It's not any longer about how it's going to be, you're living in it right now. Which tells me the Lord's got to be coming back soon. That is our blessed hope and I look for that with all of my soul. But I want you to notice that the scripture says that there's another Jesus. And I hate to say this this morning, but I believe most churches in this country, that's what they get. They get another Jesus. They don't get the right one. They don't get the Jesus of the Scripture. We recently heard them attack the Old Testament, say that we need to be unhinged from the Old Testament. This is coming from the mouth of the ones who are leading the church movement today, the change agents that are taking place in the church. Let me tell you what these people are so you'll have no doubt in your mind. These are Gnostics. They're not Christians. They are not Christians. These people you see on television week in and week out are not your brothers and sisters in Christ. They're Gnostics. They teach that the God of the Old Testament is a Demiurge, a created God. He doesn't know He's a created God, but He's a created God. They teach that He created Archons, which are angels and demons. to do His bidding. The purpose of the God of the Old Testament is to keep you away from the great transcendent God. So He creates all of these barriers to keep you separated if you only knew what was waiting for you if you had the gnosis or the knowledge or you were indoctrinated into it. So the purpose of the God of the Old Testament, according to these people, is to keep you separated from the true transcendent Monad that Plato talked about. He uses weapons to control them. And so therefore, when these preachers get up and tell people that we need to be unhinged from the Old Testament, that's exactly what they're saying. They're saying that the Old Testament is not relevant for us today. And that it is not really what we need to hear. We need to hear about Jesus of the New Testament. Here's the problem. I believe in Jesus of the New Testament. My Jesus and their Jesus is entirely two different people. In the first century after Christ, Gnosticism, so-called Christian Gnosticism, taught that a spirit came on Christ at His baptism, stayed on Him all of His earthly life, and then when He died on the cross, right before He died, this spirit was lifted up from Him. So therefore, He died just like any other man. This is why that these preachers today are preaching universalism. They're in the emerging church in America. They're preaching universalism. They're preaching that it doesn't matter who you are, what you believe, we're all going to the same place. They preach that because they don't know that the Lord Jesus Christ is God Almighty. They don't believe He's the Creator of the universe. They don't believe that there's only one name under heaven given unto men whereby we must be saved. They are Gnostics, people. Oh yes, they may use the terminology that makes you think they're talking about your Lord Jesus Christ. They're not. It's semantics. They're playing with words. They're playing with your mind. Are you listening to me today? I don't know how to make it any plainer. These people are building huge ministries. And people are following them. And oh how they think they're worshipping God. But they're worshipping Baal. They don't know the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This transcendent God that they preach. This great Spirit that you can attach yourself to. is the God of Plato, the God of the Kabbalah, the God of Rosicrucianism, the God of Aleister Crowley, the God of Helen Blavatsky, the God of every witch on this earth, the God of the Druids, the God of the Delphi oracles, the God of CERN Switzerland, the God of Godard the tunnel over there in Switzerland, the God of Adolf Hitler, who took Christianity and remade it into a Nordic religion for the German people. These modern Bible-denying, Christ-rejecting, feckless morass known as liberal Christianity, with its many faces, one of which is the emerging church. Listen carefully. The emerging church movement is just as liberal as any mainline liberal denomination has ever been. There's not a dime's worth of difference between the two. Birds of a feather flock together. They're the same people, yet they offer themselves as ministers of Christ. The Old Testament to these people is no longer relevant. Turn to Matthew 5 and verse 17 this morning, please. Matthew 5 and verse 17. I want you to read it because I think by reading it, it will make an impression on your mind that needs to stick there. Matthew 5, 17, Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, One jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." What law is he referring to? Is the Lord Jesus Christ referring to the New Testament? The New Testament hadn't even been written when He said this. He's referring to the Old Testament Scriptures. And He said, not one. jot or tittle shall pass till all be fulfilled. Right? So much for the modern preacher. So much for the one that says that the Old Testament, we need to unhinge ourselves from it. The law in the Old Testament, the prophets in the Old Testament, and the writings of the Old Testament comprise the body of the text, the Torah, the Naveen, the Ketuvim. These are the basic divisions of the Old Testament Scriptures. Luke chapter number 24 and verse number 44. If you'd like to turn there, here's what it says. Luke chapter 24 verse 44. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, one division, in the prophets, another division, and in the Psalms concerning me." Psalms is a reference to the writings of the Old Testament Scriptures. Insert the scriptures, he says in John chapter number 5 and verse number 39. For in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they that testify of me. What scriptures is he referring to? Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, the Acts, the Romans, 1st, 2nd Corinthians? No, he's referring to Genesis through Malachi. In other words, He said, search them, for they teach and preach about Me. Unhinge yourself from the Old Testament then, and unhinge yourself from half the Bible that references our Lord Jesus Christ. Boy, how arrogant are we getting today! My, what an arrogant devil to say that! Galatians chapter number 3 and verse number 8. This one is going to make you think. Galatians 3, 8. Now look at it. I want you to read this. This is one of those passages in the Bible that you're going to read and you're going to go home and you're going to think about it this afternoon. And you're going to think about it some more. And you're going to think about it some more. Now let this soak in. Galatians 3, 8. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham saying, in thee shall all nations be blessed. We say, what's the big deal about that? There was no written word of God on this earth. In Galatians chapter number 3 verse number 8. Yet the very voice and mind of God that spoke to these was the Scripture. And the Scripture before it was ever written down was prophesying. about what was going to happen. And the Scripture cannot be broken. And not one jot or one tittle shall pass until all be fulfilled. If you want to throw out half your Bible, you're going to throw out Christ! For search the Scripture, for in them you think you have eternal life, and they are they that testify of Me. In Luke chapter number 24 and verse number 27, And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning..." Who? Himself. But they need to throw it out. So why do they need to do that, preacher? Because once you start throwing parts of the Bible out, it's not hard to throw the rest of the Bible out. And after all, the Bible doesn't mean anything to these people. Don't you remember what he said? He said, what pulls us together is our feelings, not doctrine. I'm glad for the honesty. What pulls the Antichrist church together? Not feelings, but doctrine. Because when the antichrist church comes together, they will look at him and say, he's God. So first you throw out the truth, brainwash the people, then you can dump anything you want to into their minds. Once you have rejected the inspiration of the Scriptures, folks, just use it and burn it and start your campfires with it. If this is not the inspired Word of God, then you've got no hope. Because I'll tell you right now, where are you going to go to get the truth? Are you going to run to Buddha? Do you want the Zophar? Do you want the Koran? Do you want the Hadith? Do you want to run off to the Bhagavad Gita's? Do you want to go out here to this religious world and get their garbage? And you want to look at that for inspiration? Or you've got the scripture. This book changed my life. The Bible said in Luke 24, verse 27, He showed them the things concerning Himself. There are three basic areas of the Old Testament that refer to Christ. One is prophecy, the other is where He appears, and the other one are the types that show up throughout all the Bible. Prophecy that speaks directly of the coming of the Son of God. prophesied Genesis 3.15, seed of the woman, prophesied how he would be born, a virgin birth, prophesied where he would be born, Bethlehem of Judea. It prophesied that he would be crucified. They didn't know crucifixion, but it prophesied, and you go read Psalm 22, there's no way you can read that and not see crucifixion. Isaiah chapter number 53 is a prophecy of Christ. How do you know preacher? Because Philip took the Ethiopian eunuch that was reading the 53rd chapter of Isaiah. And he said to him, Understandest thou what thou readest? And the Ethiopian eunuch said, How could I except some man guide me? And the Bible said at that point he began to preach Jesus unto him. Throw it out! Unhinge yourself from the Old Testament, he said. Boy, what an arrogant. That makes me mad. It galls me for a crowd to stand up in the pulpit today and call themselves a minister of Christ and rip half this Bible out. That book right there got me saved. I love that book. That's God's Holy Word. My, what arrogance. Throw it out, he says. Throw him out. Amen. We can live without you, Hoss. I can't live without the book. You're here today, you're gone tomorrow. This book abides forever. Done with you! Amen! Arrogant devils show up here all of a sudden and rip out half the Bible. The Old Testament appearances of Christ, we call them Theophanies and we also call them Christophanies. What's that? That's simply a big word. You get in Theology 101, simply means an appearance of God in the Old Testament. And it is really an appearance of Christ in the Old Testament, for nobody has ever laid eyes on the Father. Nobody. Nothing has ever seen the Father but the Son. So, when Christ breathed into Adam's nostrils the breath of life, Adam's first face that he ever saw, have you ever thought of that? When his eyes opened, the first face he saw was the face of the Son of God. Amen! And what will make heaven heaven for this preacher? Not streets of gold, walls of jasper, gates of pearl, and even all of my brothers and sisters in my family that I'll meet when I get there and I look forward to the day to see all of them. I'll see the face of Jesus! That's what I'm looking forward to. I'm going to see Him as He is. Hallelujah to God! Amen. Let me say something to you from the depths of my soul. A man can't do anything about that. I don't care who you are, how much money you got, and who you know. You'll never stop me from seeing the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God. Amen. Then there are the types in the Old Testament. Throw out half the Bible, you throw out the prophecy. Throw out half the Bible, you throw out the appearances. Throw out half the Bible, you throw out the types. What are they, preacher? Abel's lambs, a type of Christ. God clothed them with lamb skins. The first clothing ever made by the hand of God, lamb skins. Boy! That's a covering of Christ. The Ark of Noah is a picture of Christ carrying from the old world into the new. When He saved me, He carried me from the old world into the new. I'm already a member. I'm already a citizen of heaven. My citizenship is above, not here. I live there, not here. The transition will be so quick and so easy to leave this place and to go into the presence of God. Amen. The Apostle Paul said he shall change your vile body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body. That word vile means weak, weak, weak, weak, weak. I mean, after all, folks, I can get you at 10,000 feet. That's just 10,000 feet above the earth. You won't be there long until you pass out. Just 10,000 feet. Because the oxygen is so thin at 10,000 feet. That's one of the first things I learned when they taught me to fly. Just 10,000 feet. And you'll start passing out. You've got a weak, weak, weak, weak body. But thank God He's going to give me a body like unto His glorious body. I'll be able to travel in places. I'll be able to travel like I've never traveled. I'll be able to live like I've never lived. I'll live before Him like I've never lived before Him. I'll enjoy Him like I've never enjoyed Him. I'll know Him like I've never known Him. Now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Amen. This vile body, my mind is falling apart. I don't know about yours. This thing is falling apart. Amen. Got to 72 years and it's done. How do you folks make it into your 90s? I just haven't got that figured out yet. The Old Testament is the foundation of the new. The Old Testament is the foundation of the new. You do away with the Old Testament and the new will come crumbling down. A good study on your part would be take the New Testament and see how many times it quotes the Old Testament. Take the life of Christ, our Lord Jesus, and see how many times He quoted the Old Testament. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again they quote the Old Testament. Listen to this gem. I heard this gem this morning. God is not interested in your behavior. He wants to get you to the wedding. Meditate on that for a moment. So what do you mean, preacher? Here's the way he defined that. He said God wants to get you into the congregation. He wants to get you excited. He wants you to become part of what's going on. And becoming part of what's going on and getting excited, you'll be ready for the wedding! The only way you can be ready for the wedding is to be part of the bride. And the only way you can be part of the bride is to be born of the Spirit of the Living God. John chapter number 14 verse 15. Remember now he said, God is not interested in your behavior. Well, here's what the Bible says. John 14, 15. If you love me, keep my commandments. John 14, 21. He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me. John 15, 10. If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love. 1 John 2, 3. Hereby we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 3.22, And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments. 1 John 3.24, And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And then 1 John 5, 2, by this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5, 3, this is the love of God that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not grievous. Notice that 1 John is not written to a Jewish synagogue. It's written to a Christian church, not so much a church as to generally to believers, because it's a circulatory thing. Now, let's put our thinking cap on for a minute. He's telling these people in 1 John that if you love me, you know me, you're going to keep my commandments. Yet they're Gentiles. Are you thinking with me? How do they know anything about the commandments if they're Gentiles? So what do you mean, preacher? I'll tell you what I mean. The commandments are written in their heart. Exodus chapter number 20, there's 10 of them. And they're written in the heart. In plainer words, he's saying to these Gentile believers, and there are Christian Jews here too, but Gentile believers in 1 John, he's saying, you want to know if you're really saved? You got something written in your heart from God that you're going to want to keep His commandments. You're not going to murder. You're not going to steal. You're not going to lie. You're not going to take your neighbor's wife. It's going to be written in your heart. Boy! Well, I've never seen it on paper, preacher, you don't need to. The one that wrote it on paper is living in your heart! Now that's a strong thing. That's very strong. Because it means that the author of the book can not only write Scripture on paper, he can write Scripture on hearts. And did you know he prophesied that's what he's going to do? He prophesied in the Old Testament, he said, now you got the stone and you got the written word in the stone, hallelujah, thank God. He said, the day's gonna come, Israel, when I'm gonna write it on your heart. Amen. There's something written deep inside my soul that says, don't lie, don't steal, don't kill, don't do that. Where'd that come from? It came from God. If I had never read a Bible, once I got saved by the grace of God, it would be indelibly impressed in my soul. Amen. A fellow up in, where was it? Annapolis, Maryland, took a 12-gauge shotgun, walked into a news building, and shot five people to death. That's a terrible, lethal weapon, people. I know the news media doesn't know the difference between a shotgun and a BB gun. They don't. They don't know anything. But a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with double-aught buck is a horrible weapon. It'll tear you all to pieces. That's what he did. Why? Because there's nothing inside his heart. There's nothing inside his soul that says, Don't do that! That's murder! And yet we got murderers today walking the streets of Knoxville, Tennessee. We got cold case files right here in this town. I talked to somebody no more than a week ago. A member of their family was murdered in this town years ago, and they still haven't caught the murderer. Are you listening, murderer? There's one who knows who you are. And you're headed for hell. Listen to this quote. The shack is about redefining God. Young has said that the book is for those with a longing that God is kind and loving as we wish he was. The interview with Sherman Hu, December 4, 2007. He's referring to the desire on the part of the natural man for a God who loves unconditionally, does not require repentance, does not judge sin, and does not make men feel guilty for what they do. That's the God that America loves. I go to church and my great worship leader who has taught me how to worship leads me in a wonderful, meaningful worship. And then when I leave out of there, I go out into the world and there's not a dimes worth of difference between the way I live and the crowd that never goes to church. Remember that repentance is the fruit of saving faith. This is how you know that you have believed. Mark 1 15, the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent ye and believe the gospel. Luke 13 3, I tell you, nay, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Luke 16 30, nay, father Abraham, but if one went into them from the dead, they will repent. Did you hear that? Did you hear the rich man preaching in hell? Did you hear that? That's some of the best preaching I ever heard. I can't find a thing wrong with that. Can you? What are you talking about preacher? I'm talking about the rich man that died in Luke chapter number 16 and lifted up his eyes in hell. He started preaching. And he was preaching right down the line. Preaching. They need to repent. They need to repent. They need to repent. Well, preacher, repentance is a work. No, it's fruit of saving faith. Are you against repentance? Is there something wrong with repentance? Would it hinder your lifestyle to have to repent? Does it bother you? What is repentance, preacher? Repentance is when you see yourself, not as the way you see yourself, and the world sees you, and you compare yourself with yourselves, and with this and that. Repentance is when you see yourself as God sees you. The Holy Ghost opens you up. And when you see yourself opened up by the hand of God, it gets very uncomfortable. I understand. I appreciate that. I do. gets very uncomfortable, and then you cry out back to the one who opened you up, Oh God, woe is me. I'm a man of unclean lips. That's when the heart begins to repent unto God. Anything that takes place before that is nothing but presumption and the work of the flesh. So when the Holy Spirit preaches to you, and convicts you, and opens you up to God, and you see yourself as God sees you, and then you respond to God, that's the fruit of saving faith, and you'll repent. And if you've never repented, you've never believed. And I don't care if you pastor the biggest church in America, if you've never repented, you've never believed. And man, I repented for weeks and months after God saved me. After He saved me. Here's another great quote. A popular Arkansas evangelist and singer is coming under fire after he recently declared at a funeral that hell is a fairy tale. No different than Santa Claus. Did you hear that? Well, listen to what the Lord Jesus said. Matthew 23, verse 33. Now, this is the Lord Jesus speaking. You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of the grave? How many of you caught that now? How many of you know how far off I was? I'm trying to get your attention. What did he say to them? How can you escape the damnation of what? Hell. Who said that? The lowly Galilean. Mark 9, verse 43, If thy hand defend thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched. Who said that? The Lord Jesus. In Luke 16, 23, And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Who is this guy? He's a popular evangelist in Arkansas, singer and evangelist. Who is this guy? Who are you? Who are you? Where did you come from? Am I going to take what you say and compare it to what Christ said? You lose. Rid of them. Amen. I wish I had half my strength back. I do something like that and it wires me out. Listen to this great quote. We need to decide, regardless of what you think about this topic, homosexuality, no more students are going to feel like they have to leave the local church because they're same-sex attracted or because they're gay. You know who said that? He's the pastor of one of the big emerging churches down around Atlanta, Georgia. One of the huge ones. Who is he? He's a Gnostic. He's a Gnostic. He throws out half the Bible, the Old Testament, and he throws out the Bible Christ. His Christ is a Gnostic Christ. It's just a man with an anointing on him. That's all these people believe. They don't believe the Lord Jesus is God Himself in flesh. So, what does the Bible say? Well, that Old Testament that they hate so much, it says this, Leviticus 18.22. Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind is an abomination. It doesn't make any difference if Saturday, this past Saturday, they paraded themselves down Gay Street, had little children standing on the side of the street. Parents brought their little children out there to watch these people parade themselves in front of you and in front of the world on their Gay Pride Day. There's nothing to be proud about. What did God say? Leviticus chapter 20 verse 13. If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination, they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 9, Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. That's two classes of homosexuality. 1 Timothy 1.10, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine. Then the apostle in Romans 1 says, likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men, working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meat. Don't ever offend, don't ever be so stupid, don't ever be so ignorant as to think you can take the Bible and say the Bible supports homosexuality. You're making a fool out of yourself. This book condemns it from cover to cover, regardless of whether it was 4,000 years ago, time of Abraham 1,900 BC, the time of Sodom and Gomorrah, that's 4,000 years ago. Regardless of whether it's then or 2,000 years ago, the time of crime makes no difference. It's condemned from cover to cover. It's a mark of perversion, and it's also a sign of the decline of the culture. When America embraces that, they've hit the bottom. The Lord Jesus Christ is what we're about. The Son of God should be exalted in this house. His name is wonderful. He's beautiful in His holiness beyond imagination. The Lord Jesus Christ is in every verse of the Bible. In one way or another, He relates to everything in human beings. There is no life outside the Son of God. From Genesis to the book of Revelation, every book of the Bible, every word that's written, one way or another relates to the Son of God. If you are really born again today, He's the apple of your eye. He's the love of your heart. He's the object of your affection. He's the one that you desire to be with one day when you leave this world. For nobody ever loved you like the Lord Jesus Christ loved you. Nobody ever died for you like He died for you. There's no one that can change you like He can change you. There's no one! that has the power to come into the life of a drunkard, or a fornicator, or a liar, or a thief, or a murderer, like the Lord Jesus Christ. Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and learn of me. Take my yoke upon you, for I am meek and lowly of heart, and you shall find rest for your soul. You hear it and you reject it. You've heard Him and you reject Him. You see it and you want to see it no more. That's a choice that you must make individually as a person sitting here today. You can either accept the Lord Jesus Christ, who He is and what He is for you. You can accept His great gift of salvation. Or you can walk out that back door and reject Him. And you can walk into a Christ-denying, God-rejecting world. And believe me, this world is winding down fast. Are you ready? Oh, preacher, I've heard that all my life. I know you have, and your life is nothing but a vapor here today and gone tomorrow. Do you realize how insignificant we are? We're just here and gone. But the Lord Jesus is coming back again. Even so, come. Are you ready for Him? Father, I preach what You put on my heart. Bless Your Word as it goes forth. Speak to the hearts of men and women. Help us today, in Thy name I pray, Amen.
