Treated Unfairly?
In Acts 12.2, we read that Herod the king 'killed James the brother of John with the sword'. Despite being a distinguished disciple of the Lord Jesus, James dies at the beginning of the church for the glory of his Saviour.
Sometimes we may wonder why Christ calls some of His people home to Himself early. James stands as a testimony that the way to glory is through suffering and pain, and although we may not be honoured on earth, we will be in heaven. Our hearts and eyes may deceive us, but God's Word is full of truth; His purpose and will is always best.
This heart warming message by Pastor Antoine Skaff of Badaro Baptist Church, Beirut, encourages believers to stand firm for Christ and explores reasons why some are called home early to their Saviour.
