That's good. Amen. We'll figure out about two seconds
after we die or the Lord comes back how trivial this whole life
was. I think when we see the nail
prints in his hand finally we'll figure it out that everything
we've done here is just reasonable service. Every dime given to
missions, every track handed out, Everything we've ever done
for the Lord, just reasonable service. We think about sacrifice. Boy, I sacrificed to come to
church. Listen, if you and I could see on the other side of eternity,
realize what God saved us from, nothing we've done would even
seem like a sacrifice. Thank you, Miss Jan. I told her
I said, don't mess that up, and she didn't, man. She hit a home
run right there, didn't she? Brother Barker, we appreciate
you, and of course he's been a friend to our church for a
long time, and been a friend to me and Brother Fry, and we're
excited to hear him preach. Good to have the Russells back.
We saw Brother Adam this morning. Good to see Miss Sarah back there,
and the kids, and I told Braden I think he's grown about six
inches in a month. I didn't even realize. I saw
him yesterday. And he had a bow and arrow, and
I thought, oh, I don't know if that's good or not. But he seemed
like he's that tall. So we're glad to have them back
for a little while. And good to have again all of our missionary
friends. Brother Barker, if you'd come, you just preach whatever
God lays on your heart. Thank you. Love you, brother.
All right, if you have your Bible, turn anywhere you want to. It's
all good. John chapter 3, I want you to
look that with me this morning. Gospel of John chapter 3. While
you're turning I do want to say it's a real joy to be here this
morning. Good to be in the house of God. I've already enjoyed
church today. Amen. I mean that with all my
heart. Good Sunday school time. I have
never taught what I taught on this morning during Sunday school.
And I liked it so good I'm going to do it again. And hey, how
to strengthen your mission program. And I appreciate God using those
very simple, down the earth, very simple stuff. But that's
what we need. And I appreciate God speaking
to our hearts this morning. And man, the good singing today.
I'm telling you, this choir just gets... up in the mountain, they
say, Gooder and Gooder. Amen. I'm telling you, it's great. I enjoyed a good singing this
morning. Then my favorite singer, I always enjoy her, and she's
always a blessing. I praise the Lord for that. We've
been married 54 years, and shortly after we got married, I taught
her how to sing. And if you believe that, I have
some ocean front land in Montana I want to say. Amen. But anyhow,
I appreciate the good singing this morning. And it's so good
to be back at Currytown Baptist Church today. I am humbled and
honored by being here this morning. I mean that with all my heart.
And I do not feel worthy to stand behind this pulpit after this
man of God. You know this. I don't have to
tell you this. You already know it. You have a great preacher.
Amen. And you don't only have a great
pastor, you've got a great preacher. Amen? I enjoy hearing him preach.
I sure do. And I wasn't there, but he preached
at my home church just a few weeks ago. And man, I'm telling
you, they loved him. I'm telling you, it was wonderful.
And how can you but love him when you hear him preach? I mean
that. I appreciate you're a man of God, and I'm humbled and honored
by being here these days. I hope we can be a blessing and
be a help to you today. Also, I want to say this real
quick. Who all was responsible? I know Miss Ella was, I know
that lady right there probably was. That's the wrong lady I'm
pointing at, I can't see. Where's that guy with that long
beard? Oh, this lady right here. I probably wouldn't have picked
her out, but you can't help pick him out, amen. Anyhow, I'm telling
you, it was great. I enjoyed that last night. I
told my wife going home, I said, man, it's good to go somewhere
where they've got everything organized. That was wonderful. I enjoyed that last night. I
enjoyed being with the missionaries. I'm going to enjoy being with
them this week. It's so good to be in the service today. I
want to just say this real quick. If we can get our brother over
here to give us a watermelon, We may cut a watermelon and not
you miss. So don't miss one night. We're gonna have a good time.
And don't miss service tonight. Service starts tonight at five
o'clock. Tomorrow night it starts at seven
o'clock. So be sure and be here. And I'm
gonna go back this week. Lord, don't change my mind. I
got some stuff I preached many, many, many years ago that I haven't
preached on in a long time. I'll guarantee to stir your heart
for missions. And you don't only need to be here. You're gonna
need to see what I'm gonna preach. So this guy back here reminded
me of one of those sermons that he heard me preach 20 some years
ago. And so I told him, I said, man,
I can't believe you're saying that, because Lord willing, I'm
going to preach that one night this week, if the Lord doesn't
change our mind. But anyhow, don't miss the service.
We're going to have a good time. How good to be in the house of
God. John chapter 20, let's stand together. I'm not preaching out
John 20. You know how to know when you're
getting old? I don't know. John chapter number 3. I thought long and hard about
the service this morning. Prayed much about what to preach
on. Can't get away from this thought. I pray God we use it
to speak to our hearts today. The Bible said in John chapter
3 verse 14, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of Man be lifted up. Now, I want you to
help me as I read this. When I stop, you speak. Y'all understand that? Watch
this next verse. believeth in him shall not perish
but have eternal life. For God so loved that he gave
his only begotten Son that believeth in him shall not perish but have
everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into
thee to condemn but thee. Through him might be saved. Rainey's
interested in the world. And notice the next verse. He
that believeth on him is not condemned. But he that believeth
not is condemned already. Because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation
that light has come into the world. I skipped it. Let's do it again. This is the
condemnation that light has come into the world. And that men
love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. Our Heavenly Father, I pray you'll
help us this morning. I have a real desire to be a
help and be a blessing today. I realize I will not be that
if you don't help me this morning. Lord, I pray you'll touch us
with the power of God. May you anoint us, Lord, to preach
the word of God this morning. I pray you'll give us unction,
give us power. I pray, God, that lives will
be changed through the preaching of the word of God today. Help
us this morning out of the word of God. Most of all, again, I
pray that when they hear this loss today, I pray they'll see
their need of Christ and move in a mighty way today. And we'll
thank you in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you for sending him
to be seated this morning. Bible also said in John 13 and
verse number 1, Bible says in verse number 1, He loved them until the end.
I want to talk to you many times in these verses here today. He
talks about the world. And the Bible says in verse 16
again, I want to talk to you a little while this morning on
a love that touches the world. And love
that touches the world. I want to say this morning, when
you look at this text today, and think about love today, our
love is limited to just a few. But God's love this morning is
not limited to anybody. He so loved the world, thank
God. And I said in the Bible this
week, and here's what I found out, the word world is found
more than 200 times in the word of God. And to my surprise, He's
found more than 80 times in the Gospel of John. And in my text
this morning with John 13.1, seven times here, he makes mention
here of the world today. Thank God he loves the world
today. I like this here. Joy to the
world. Joy to the world. How the Lord
has come to whosoever will. Amen. And He certainly has today. I want to say to you this morning
when I think about this verse today, I think it's one of the
greatest mission verses in all the Word of God. When I think
about the love of God, it's one of the greatest mission verses
here in all the Word of God today. Somebody said John 3.16 is a
gospel in a nutshell. That's so true. It's a gospel
in a nutshell. Somebody else said this this
morning. John 3.16 is God's love letter to the world. Yes, sir. God says to the world, I love
you. And I will say to you this morning,
what a tremendous thought. Somebody else said this about
John 3, 16. It's a treasure that is inexhaustible. It's a treasure
that is inexhaustible. I want to say, thank God he loves
the world today. When I look at this verse here
today, it's got 25 words in it. In those 25 words today, I'm
telling you there's volumes said by each word today. It's the
gem of all the Bible this morning. God so loves you and God so loves
I this morning. I thought about this, that little
word. For God, man, how do you get
to the bottom of that? How do you mine out all of the
meaning of that this morning? That God so loved the world. I want to tell you something
this morning. I've been studying the Bible
a long time. And that little word so turns my head around
every time I read it. God so loves the world this morning. I thank God for that today. And
let me say this today. Human love and God's love is
different love today. God so loved the world. God so
loved the world. My mother-in-law used to write
my wife notes. And also, and she'd write me
those. And she'd put in there, I love you so, oh, oh, oh, oh,
oh, so much. Are you hearing me today? That's
what God is saying to you now today. A world that's here today,
thank God. He loves the world today. I thought
about what Paul said. Paul said that we might comprehend
how with all the saints was the breadth, and the length, and
the depth, and the height, How do you get to the bottom of that?
How the length, the breadth, the depth, the height, how the
love of God. And then it says in verse 19,
and to know how the love of Christ, how which passeth all knowledge.
I thank God he loves you today. Hallelujah for John 3, 16. God so loves you and I, I remember
54 years ago and I'm watching the clock. You know, I got a
thing about that. I like these clocks. So here, everybody look
at me, we're going by, this we're not here today. Right now it's
five after nine, so here we go. If you're in Montana, it's 5
after 9, but listen to this. But I thought about this today. God, 54 years ago I got saved. And I never will forget the night
I got saved. Man, I'd been to church that
night, and I'm going to give the whole testimony with my girlfriend. And the only way I could go see
her on a Thursday night was to go to church. And since I wanted
to see her, I went to church with her on Thursday night. But
before I went to church, several months prior to that, I'd already
been on conviction. And I got saved that night. After
the service, I told her, I said, man, I gotta have somebody pray
with me. So I went and got my daddy out of bed, and a guy to
pray with me. He didn't read me Romans 10.
He didn't read me Romans 10, 13. He didn't read me Romans
10, verse 9, that thou shalt confess. He didn't read any of
that. He looked up and here's what he said. He said, son, the
Bible said that God so loved the world that he gave his only
begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. That's all he read. And by the
way, can I say this today? There's enough gospel in that
verse to save the world. I don't care who you are. I don't
care where you're at. I don't care what nationality
you are. I thank God there's enough gospel in that verse today. Thank God I just saved the world.
For God so loved the world. God so loved the world this morning.
And I want to tell you this morning, thank God for the love of God.
I want to give you two or three things and I'll be done. I want
to say first of all in verse 16, I see the perimeter, the
perimeter of the love of God. Notice what it says, for God
so loved. the perimeter, it reaches the
world. I said it reaches the world.
I taught Sunday school, we're not the church of Jerusalem,
we're the church of Antioch. If you know the book of Acts,
you know what I'm talking about. And I'll tell you, they reached out
to the world. The church of Jerusalem, they was just right there and
that was it. But I'll say to you this morning, hey, the perimeter
of the love of God, it touches the world. I say it touches the
world. I thought about this cross. It
reaches high. It reaches low, then it reaches
the four corners of the earth. And may I say to you this morning,
how the perimeter of the love of God, hey, I'll tell you, it's
world today. It's not just my neighbor and
just a few. But thank God it's the whole world today. Those
that are lost without Christ, it doesn't matter what color
the skin is, it doesn't matter what nationality. God so loves
the world today. Oh my, listen to me. Eight billion. Think about what I just said.
8 billion people on planet earth, they tell me now. And God loves
every one of them. He knows where every one of them
is. And by the way, every one of them need the gospel. And
we got a limited time to get it to an unlimited number. Believe
I'll preach on that, that sounds pretty good. How we gotta leave
it in time. Hey, we gotta redeem the time,
friend. Hey, these days are closing. Hear me this one, it's just about
over. I know you don't believe that,
but I'm telling you this one, it's just about over. And if
we're ever gonna do anything for God, if you're ever gonna
surrender to missions, if you're ever gonna go for God, if you're
ever gonna give to missions, it's time to do it now, are you
listening? The perimeter, the perimeter of the love of God.
You know, human love is selfish. Human love is based on what we
get in return. But God's love is pure. It's
holy. It's outreaching. God's love
this morning is always seeking the best for His object. It gives freely without any return. God so loved this morning. Hey,
listen to me this morning. You can't do anything to get
Him to love you anymore. And you can't do anything to
get Him to love you any less. That's love, are y'all hearing
me? That's love this morning. This fella called his girlfriend
and said, hey, you're the greatest thing in
the world. I'd cross the burning desert
just to be with you. I'd go through a jungle of lines.
I love you so much just to be with you. I'd brave anything. I love you so much just to be
with you. Then he said, and by the way, if it's not raining,
I'll see you tonight. Are you listening? That's not
the way the love of God is this morning. Thank God, God so loved
the perimeter of the love of God. It's reaching out. That's
what missions is about. That's why these folk here this
morning, it's going to the mission field. Thank God it's for the
world this morning. Not just me, but the world. Are
you listening? God so loved. And by the way,
I want to say this, and I'm probably not going to finish this message.
Give me one reason why God don't love any of us. Give me one reason
God ought to have a second look at you and I. You and I the sinners
lost without God, but God so loved you and I this morning.
And the perimeter of the love of God, it touches the world.
I say thank God, it touches the world. I'm going to say secondly
out of this text this morning, not only, but number two, the
perimeter of the love of God. But then in verse number 16,
I see the proof. of the love of God, for God so
loved the world. What a primitive! And what a
proof that He gave! that he gave. Are y'all hearing
me this morning? That he gave, that's the proof
of the love of God today. God doesn't have to prove anything
to you and I. He's already proved it. How about giving heaven's
best, dear friend? I'm telling you, in the eons
of eternity past, as a meeting went on in heaven by God the
Father and God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, they knew what
was gonna happen. And I'm telling you, it was preordained
that Jesus Christ would come and go to the cross of Calvary
and die for the sins of the world. Hey, the proof of the love of
God. It's a great gift. You say, why?
Because of what it is. Because of what it does. Because,
man, are you hearing me this morning? What a change has been
wrought in my heart. I see Jesus come into my life.
Hey, I one time was a sinner going to hell, but thank God
I'm saved this morning. It's wonderful today. The proof
of the love of God that God gave today. I thought about this verse
this week when I was studying. Romans 5 verse 6. For when we
were without strength, and you were, and when we were without
strength, In due time or the right time, Christ died for the
ungodly. You say, I'm not ungodly. If
you're not saved, you're ungodly. And I want to tell you, I did
my uncle's funeral Friday. The only uncle I had left, 96
years old, my daddy's brother. Only one of that family that
was left, that generation's gone. And I did my uncle's funeral,
I promised him a long time ago, I said, Uncle Limbal, I don't
care where I'm at in the world. He asked me if I'd do his funeral,
I said, I promise you, I don't care where I'm at in the world,
when you cross the river, tell the girls to call me, I'm coming
home, I'll do your funeral. And I fulfilled that promise
right, and here's what I started to say, there's a house full
of people there. And I'm afraid I had a lot of
cousins sitting there. And boy, they're relying on their
good works and what they can do. Listen to me, he didn't die
for the good people, he died for the ungodly. And I'll say
this morning, if you're in this service and you know what I'll
say today, you're ungodly. You'll say, Brother Barker, I
resent that. Well, I can't help it. It's just
the way it is today. And either you're saved or not
saved. Hey, listen to the proof of his love for scarcely. For
righteous men will one die, yet pre-adventure for good men, some
would even dare to die. But God, don't you like that
conjunction? But God, commendeth his love toward you. Hey, hear
me this morning, the proof of his love, he gave, thank God,
he gave this morning. You say, preacher, how can I
prove my love to him? I'm so glad you asked that question.
All right, listen, don't want to be giving yourself. And you
know what would be good at Currytown this week? Here's what really
would be good. Some young couple, some middle-aged
couple, some old couple like Brother Money and his wife, old
people. You know what would really be good this week? Some couple
come down this old-fashioned altar, lay themselves on the
altar and say, God, I surrender all. I surrender all. There's
a world out there that's going to hell, and you so love the
world, and if you can use me anywhere in any part of the world,
I'm willing to go. I give myself. I remember when
that happened to me. 1971, I didn't get saved in 71,
I got saved in 70. But it was 71 before I really got right
with God. And I remember that night, that little church way
up there on the mountain of Trap Hill, North Carolina. I bowed
myself on an old-fashioned altar with that little lady right there.
And I said, Lord, I surrender all. I give you my mouth. I give
you my tongue. I give you everything. Whatever
you do, here it is. Here it is. And boy, I look back
50 years later. Oh, my soul. Are you listening
to me? It seemed like a dream. Man,
it's been wonderful. And I'll say to you this morning,
the proof of the love of God. I'll tell you how you prove your
love to Him this morning. By giving yourself. By giving
yourself. Here I am, Lord, here I am. And
you know what I found out? If you'll give yourself, finances
will not be a problem. Those churches of Macedonia first
gave their self to the Lord and then under Paul. Now I'll say
to you that the proof of the love of God is proof He loves
me. My proof to Him, I show Him.
by giving back to Him the proof of the love of God this morning.
And then I want to say this quickly, you don't only see the perimeter
of that love, you see the proof of that love. But then in this
text this morning, I see the plan for that love. For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son. What proof and what a plan, whosoever. That's a good word. You know
what we are? We're a bunch of whosoevers.
You know what's going to be in heaven? It's going to be a bunch
of whosoevers. Yes, I said a bunch of whosoevers.
I took a class this morning and I heard a guy preaching yesterday.
I don't know where he went to school. I don't think he ever
went to school. And he's talking about how there's
going to be three different groups in heaven. That's about as dumb
as a sack of doorknobs. Are y'all hearing me? I tell
you what's going to be in heaven. It's not going to be Jew and
it's not going to be Gentile. I want to tell you we all baptized
into one body when we got saved. And you know what's going to
be in heaven? I tell you what's going to be there. It's going
to be a bunch of whosoever wills and got saved by the grace of
God. That's who's going to be there. Are you hearing me this
morning? You see the plan of the love of God. The plan is
who? Whosoever will. Whosoever will. If that's in South America, whosoever
will. If that's in Asia, whosoever
will. If that's in Europe, whosoever will. If that's in the Bahamas,
whosoever will. Thank God, hallelujah, hear me
this morning. I'm glad I'm a whosoever will. Hear me this morning, all
the prayer is whosoever will. What kind of God, can I step
off the platform a minute? I don't step off platform much,
I have to go back. But what kind of God would be this kind of
God? You can go to heaven, she's not going. You can go to heaven,
you're not going. You can't go. Your beard's three
inches too long, you can't go. She can go to heaven. I ain't
sure about you, but how about, yeah, you can go to heaven. But
that's about as crazy as anything I've ever heard in my life. How
do you get, listen to me, whosoever will. Define that to me this
morning. How do you determine this one's
elected and this one's not elected? I'm gonna tell you who's elected.
Everybody's born again. Did y'all get what I said? You
believe in the doctrine of election? Oh yes, I love it, I believe
in it. You say, how about the doctrine of election? It's to
everybody the same. You're elected to be prestiginated
to conform to the image of His child. I will tell you, God never
elected nobody to die and go to hell. He saved everybody so
come, it's whosoever will, thank God. Oh, the plan, the plan is
whosoever will. I'm glad after preaching 50 years
I still enjoy preaching on John 3, 16. You say we ought to leave
that to the novice. Well, I am a novice. Are you
listening? You see the proof of the love
of God. I've got to move. In this text you see the perimeter,
how big it is. You see the proof, how God proved
by giving. You see the plan, it's whosoever.
Come now. Let us reason together, saith
the Lord. I'm in the book of Isaiah. What a book. That's the
longest book in the Bible. Every chapter in Isaiah has got
141 verses. And each verse has got 50 words
in each verse. No, I'm just kidding. It is a
long book. I've been reading it all week.
I'm reading it, but here's what I'm getting ready to say. Listen
to this verse. Isaiah, chapter 55, verse number 1. Oh, every
one. How do you get different ones
out of that? Everyone. You say, why are you
hammering that? I'm hammering that because that
doctrine is sweeping this country. Calvinism ain't a thing in the
world but a stump to hide behind for doing nothing for God. It's
whosoever the plan today. Hear me, hear me well. Those,
everybody, everybody, everybody be saved. They want to come to
Christ. In this text you see the perimeter of the love of
God. You see the proof. You see the plan. Then I like
the protection. For God so loved the world, this
love that touches the world, the perimeter of it, the proof
of it, the plan of it, but then there's the protection of it.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth, anybody can do that, believeth. I preached Friday on ABC's The
Salvation, that funeral. You say you didn't say that in
the funeral? I sure did. Acknowledge, believe, call, and
here's what I started to say. The protection of the love of
God, who shall but believeth in him, and the protection is
this, shall not perish. Look up here, and pardon my English. I know better than saying it.
I shouldn't say it, but I'm going to say it anyhow. I ain't going
to hell. I'm not going to hell. The protection shall not perish. Lord, that makes a mountain boy
want to run. Are y'all hearing me this morning? I'm never going
to hell. I've even had people tell me
I was going there and I said, I ain't going. Are you listening? Hey, I'm telling you this morning,
the protection shall not perish. Listen to me, if you're saved,
you're going to heaven. I said, if you're saved, you're going
to heaven. You say, I'm not even sure I want to go. If you're
saved, you ain't got a choice in the matter now, because you're
going, thank God. I'm telling you this for all
the love of God. What a text this morning from
missions today. Shall not perish. Are you listening? Numbers and numbers and thousands
and millions around the world that's in poverty, that's starving,
that doesn't have anything. Many of them don't have enough
money to pay attention. But when they get saved, shall not perish. Are you listening? If you're saved, you're living
in the worst world you'll ever live in. Boy, I could preach
right there about 30 minutes. Are you hearing me? You're having
it the worst you'll ever have it right now. But you know what? My wife and I are having the
best we've ever had it. Are you listening? Yes, I thought
you said this good living is the worst way you are. But I'm
enjoying the trial. I don't have no sad stories to
tell. I'm telling you I'm happy this morning. I'm happy now and
ain't even trying to be. Hey man, heaven down with a hammer
down. Hear me this morning. The protection shall not perish
this morning. Let me ask you a question. I
give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish. Neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave
them me is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them
out of my Father's hand. As one of my Pentecostal friends
tell me, he said, I believe that. I said, well, you don't believe
me, turn on the security then. He said, I know nobody can pluck
you out of the Father's hand, but you can pluck yourself out.
I said, are you a man? Of course, we ain't sure this
day and time. Are you a man? Is that what the
Bible says? And by the way, the black preacher
said, nobody in the plucking business, but him, he ain't gonna
pluck us out. Hey, the protection. And I'll tell you, that's a good
story today. We can take that story to the mission field today.
And church, hundreds, some missionaries, this church supports every month.
Hey, that's a good story they're going out there with. They're
telling me, shall my parents thank God? By the way, you know
what these missionaries are doing? They're going to the mission
field and duplicating Currytown Baptist Church. That's exactly
what they're doing. I never will forget when I was
North America Mission Director of Macedonia, preachers asked
me all the time, what do you preach out west? I said, what
do you preach here? What do you preach in Germany?
There have been many times. I said, what do you preach here?
I've been in South America. He said, what do you preach in
South America? I said, what do you preach here? Well, he preached in the
Bahamas. I preach the same thing that I preach right here. It
works! Are you listening? Oh, listen this morning. The
protection of the love of God. Then I've got to close. I'm not
done, but I've got to close. Listen to this. In this text this morning, we
see the perimeter of the love of God. It's the world. We see
the proof. He proved by giving. And by the
way, you prove your love for Him by giving. Amen. You see
the plan? It's whosoever. You see the protection? But in closing this morning,
I see here in this text here this morning, I see the provisions. is forever and for God so loved
the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth
in Him shall not perish but is everlasting. And I'll tell you
this real quick this morning. If you don't know Him, you're
missing the greatest thing in the world. The provisions and that
love that God gives you and I. And also in those provisions,
I don't have time to tell you about them. There's about 14
sub points you can tie in right there. And I want to tell you
the provisions are wonderful this morning. Isn't it good to
be saved? I mean, listen to me, isn't it
really wonderful to be saved? You know, I preach to some folk,
it's not at Carytown, but I preach to some folk, and I want to go
back and take them by the hand and say, sir, if I had what you've
got, I would trade it. I mean, bless God, they look
just alike. You'd tell the best joke you got, you'd preach the
best sermon you got, you can jump, you can turn and flip,
do anything you want to do. They sit there, act just like
their mother lost the house on the front porch. Don't smile. Let me tell you something this
morning. If I had that, I'd trade it. I'm telling you, God gave
me such joy in my heart when I got saved. What a joy of the
provisions that come with this this morning. It's everlasting.
It's everlasting. I want to say to you today, that's
the message today. But here's the thing, it grieves
my heart and I'm done. Now this number, this large, there's no
doubt in my mind. There's somebody in this room
this morning. If you died right where you sat, you'd die and
go to hell. You know what's worse than going
to hell out of Africa? Going to hell out of Arcadia. Did I get that right? Is it Archdale?
Arcadia. You know why? Because you can
quote John 3.16. You've heard it. You hear the
radios every day. It's on TV everywhere. I want
to tell you something, friend. I'd hate to die and go to hell
out of this part of the country. And even more than that, I'd
hate to die and go to hell off the pew of Currytown Baptist
Church this morning. What a tremendous verse. For
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. for
you, for scarcity with a man, give a good man. And can I just
say this real quick? I have two sons. One of them
is in heaven. The other one's my pastor. There
was a time when my pastor was not my pastor. There was a time
when my boy was something else, and that's as far as I'm going.
When he's a teenager, he knew more than me, God, and everybody
else. Now, you don't have teenagers at Currytown that way. Cocky
attitude, smart, eloquent, knew more than everybody else. There's
a minute a day I want to change the color of his spit. Are you
listening? Here's my thought, and I'm done.
When my boy was at his lowest point, sorriest, he didn't get
out in the world, didn't smoke juju weed as far as I know. I've
never asked him. I'm afraid to, but anyhow, I
don't think he did. But when my boy was at his lowest
point, There's not a one of you in this room. God gave him for
you. Do you know what God done one
day? God looked down through the telescope of time and saw
a bunch of sinners that's gonna be coming to the world that's
lost. God gave his son for you. What an escape, you don't have
to die and go to hell today. You say, I can't believe you
preach on John 3, 16. in a mission conference. Well, give me a better
text and I'll preach it. Will you come to the piano so
I'll quit preaching? Listen to me, I'm closing. If
you're in this room and you're not saved, I prayed for you before daylight
this morning. There were some hours I fasted and prayed for
you this week. Are you hearing me? I'm not bragging, I'm just
telling you facts. Don't die and go to hell. Man, that's the
worst thing that ever happened in your life. And by the way,
you're gambling with two things. Number one, you could be in eternity
by this afternoon. And number two, Jesus could come
back today. We're redeeming the time because
it's so limited what time we've got. You need to get saved today.
If you're here this morning and your life's not right with God
and you're not walking with God like you ought to be walking
with Him, then you ought to get in this morning. Mission Revival
is a time of dedicating yourself and getting in for God. Would
you bow your heads and stand together? Let's stand together
with our heads bowed, Father. As we stand to our feet this
morning, I pray the Spirit of God, We'll take this simple thought
out of the book of John chapter 3, which is simple but yet so
true, so deep, so wide, so big, we'll never reach the bottom
of it. I pray God you'll take the truth of your word and I
pray you'll speak to our hearts today. Lord, as the musicians
begin to play, I pray the Holy Ghost, God will speak to that
man, that woman, that boy, that girl about their loss and their
condition. Oh, God, speak to hearts this
morning. Lord, I pray today, Lord, for
that one here that's not where they ought to be with God. I
pray you'll speak to them. Our heads are bowed and nobody
looking around. There's somebody on the altar praying. Oh, that's
his question. How many in this room just want to say preacher?
There's not one doubt in my mind. Pastor, there's not a thing of
doubt in my mind. Pastor McDaniel, there's not
a doubt in my mind. If I died to the right name,
I'm 100% sure I'd go to heaven. So based on the grace of God
and what God's done in my life, I know I'm saved. Would you raise
your hand? Hold them real high. Hold them real high. That's a
beautiful sight, beautiful sight. You can put them down. Now can
I ask this question, and I'll tell you this, I'm not gonna
embarrass you, I'm not gonna come to you, I'm gonna pray for
you. Wouldn't it be one, say preacher,
maybe more than one, just say preacher, I'm either not saved,
I'm not a harm fixer, I go to heaven. I'd like to know that. I'd like to know today, if I
died today, I'm going to heaven. I'd like to know that. By the
way, the very coffin you're gonna be buried in could be the funeral
home right now. You just don't know about that.
So if you're not saved right now, while nobody's looking at
you, just lift up your hand. And by that, say, preacher, would
you pray for me that I'll get saved before it's too late? I
am interested. I believe what you say. I need
prayer. Would you pray for me? Would
you raise it right now? I'm not gonna come to you. I'm
not gonna point you out. I'm gonna pray for you. I'm just not sure
would you pray for me. Anybody in the world? I believe
God's speaking to hearts. Hold it high so I can see it. Let me raise your hand and say,
preacher, I am saved. I doubt I'd go to heaven, but
my life's not counted for God like it ought to. Preach, I'm
not injured like I need to be. I'm not living the life I ought
to live. I'm saved, but I need prayer this morning. Man, God
so loves you so much, he gave his son for you. Don't you think
I ought to live for him? Let me raise your hand and say,
Preach, I'm saved, but I'm not willing to be with God when you
pray for me. Would you raise your hand? I see that hand. I
see that hand. I see that hand. God bless you. I see that hand
back there. I saw that hand right there. While our heads are bowed,
folks, Still praying around the altar, listen to me. You that
raised your hands, won't you come to the altar right now?
Let's have prayer right now. And say, dear Lord, help me to
dedicate my life, help me to be wild, to be for God. You that
raised your hands, come on right now, that's it, come on. Others
this morning, others this morning, come on, right now, come on.
And if you never raised your hand, God spoke to your heart,
come in here. Come on, all these folk are coming,
others. Others this morning? Do business
with God today. Hey, sir, do business with God.
Now, do business with God. Let God help you. Mission revival,
great time to get right with God. How about it? Will you come? Will you come? Will you come? Father, meet every need this
morning. Those that's already come to
the altar and went back, I pray you'll help them. If these is
in the altar, I pray you'll help them. Those that raise their
hands, it's not good. I pray you'll do a work in their
heart, do a work in their heart. Most of all, those that's not
saved, there's a number of people could not raise their hand, that
they knew if they died, they'd go to heaven. There's a lot of
them that couldn't raise their hand. If you weren't by that,
it's a testimony that's probably not saved. Don't let them leave
this building that way. Oh God, help them. Get in today
for the glory of God. We'll thank you for all you do
in Jesus' name. Preacher's coming. Just a minute, I'm gonna be over
here. I'll be sitting right here with my wife. If you're here
and you're not saved, if you don't come over, I'd be no lie
to take my Bible myself. As an individual, I'll lead you
to Christ. Don't leave lost today. God bless
you, preacher.
