Kind of got that bucket-y sound there. One, two, one, two, one, two. Check, one, two, three, one, two, three. Check, check, check, check, check, check, check. Test, test, test, test, test. One, two, three, one, two. Check, test. All right, well, that's okay for now. Maybe just down a hair. One, two, three. All right, we're ready to, well, no, still need some work. We're ready to get going in the Sunday school, and we do have some handouts, and we've got some things we want to make sure everybody's got. Remember, bring your notebook every Sunday, because you're going to get notes, and you're going to get things to add to it, and it gives you a hard surface to write on. That's something practical. So make sure you bring your notebook. And I've got a cover sheet for the inside of your, so Lori, if you'll make sure everybody gets one of these for the front. So in other words, this goes down inside your front cover. And so you close your notebook. Yeah, okay, you got one. Good. All right, if you can kind of show them how that works. In other words, you slide it down behind the plastic. So it's on the front. Now, Lori's reminding me, all the handouts and things, there is a cost to that. So if you can throw in an extra, $33 in the plate or whatever. That'd be great. If you can't, then that's all right. In other words, nobody's going to go without. But if you can help. Well, Rosemary, it's only if you show up every single Sunday school. So remember, it's one per couple. and you wanna slip that cover sheet down behind the plastic in the front. So now when you look at it, you know what the... Has everybody done that? Everybody got the sheet down in front of the front cover? Good. Show me your notebook so I can see that you're awesome. Harry, you got yours on the... Harry's got it, Joel's got it. What couple doesn't have a notebook or, if you're not a couple, a single? All right. Good. Thank you, Eddie. Thank you for showing me your notebook cover because I just want to make sure we're all on the same track. So now you know you've got a notebook on the shelf that's going to be filled with really good material on the cults. The first cult that we're dealing with is the Jehovah's Witnesses, and we want to thoroughly make sure that everyone's clear on that. Then I wanted to make sure you had, and it's still sounding funny, Kenan, I wanted to make sure you had a, The handout that we gave last week, Jesus Christ is Almighty God. Everyone got that one? Jesus Christ is Almighty God? All right, I've got this for Rosa. And then we'll need, all right. I've only got, we'll need, let's see. All right. So make sure and bring your notebook every week because we're gonna add to it and take notes in it and really dig into it. This is a very helpful sheet. I'm contemplating making it a track so it can fit in your pocket because the huge majority, sadly, of church members in America have been so negatively influenced by the Jehovah's Witnesses that they don't believe Jesus is God anymore. So it's really a strange thing when you go to a Presbyterian Methodist Lutheran and you say, who is Jesus Christ? And they really don't know. They think he's a good man, a great prophet, but they don't realize the Bible teaches that he is almighty God. These are the Bible verses that the Jehovah's Witnesses have changed in their Bible. They've actually erased them or changed the wording. It's pretty sad when you gotta write your own Bible to support your weird views. And that's what the Jehovah's Witnesses have done. So I just wanna make sure everybody knows that. I'm guessing, do you guys have this yet? Okay, I need to let Lori know. We're making sure every couple has a notebook, and with every couple in the inside, there are notes. And we're going to add to these notes week by week by week. Okay? Oh, yeah. Yeah. They've changed John 1, 1, all. And it's interesting. I've listened to cult experts for 50 years. And 50 years ago, the Jehovah's Witnesses primarily used the old King James. And you could just bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, nail them to the wall. So they changed. And then 40 years, they changed certain verses. And 30 years ago, they changed other verses. And so they have this constant updating of their false translation. where once they encounter enough Christians who keep going to these verses, they're like, hey, Watchtower, you gotta change in the next version. They're nailing us on these verses. So it's really shocking. But you want to have that copy of, in fact, I've got one last one here. This, you want to make sure you have this copy in your Bible or at least write down 10 of the verses in the back. You know, it's interesting. It's something to discover. I don't know if you've discovered this, but God put blank spaces in the back and in the front of your Bible. It's amazing. And you can put all kinds of notes there, you know. One of the best ones to put is about who Jesus is, right? All right. Well, let's start with a word of prayer. Father, we do come before you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we exalt you and magnify you. And we want to be protected from the false teachers that are so rampant in our country. Lord, they're just overwhelming in their flood. It seems like every time you turn around, there's a new false cult starting. And so it's hard to keep on top of these. Lord, certain ones have made inroads and have kind of become more popular than others, and so we really need to understand those. Help us, Spirit of God, to be faithful to your Word that you have inspired and that you have given to us so that we can be solid in our own understanding of the Word of God and also help those that are searching in Jesus' name. Just one other handout. Someone took my handouts. There was a bunch of these. Okay, are they already passed out? Okay, good. Yes, I've got another handout for you, and this is something that is really a helpful fold out. So this also you can keep in your Bible, because it's got all the major cults and what they believe. Make sense? So this is gonna be a big help to you. It's on nice paper. So it has what biblical Christianity believes, and then the cults, like the Job's Witnesses, the Mormons, the Seventh-day Adventists, Unification Church, Christian Science, Unity School of Christianity, New Age. And remember, one per couple, preferably. One per couple. New Age. You don't hear much about the new age anymore. Isn't that interesting? Wicca. Who knows what Wicca is? Witchcraft. That's right. Yep. Sage, crystals, incense, symbols, tarot cards, Ouija boards, endless list of those kind of things. Scientology, that was a big deal over in the St. Pete Clearwater area, because Clearwater is their capital city, I guess. So we're going to cover some of this as well. But this is a succinct quickie, whereas what I'm going to give you is sort of a medium length evaluation. So the one that you've got in your notebook already is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. And here's another couple that needs a handout. Where's Peter? Where'd Peter go? I know he had. Peter, there's a couple here. And you're going to get one of these, Parker and Tracy. You're going to get one of these, but not today because we don't have any left. So we'll get some more of these. Okay. Keep this in your cult book, or if you're gonna be using it regularly, keep it on the inside of your Bible. It's a great thing to take witnessing with you. When you come across somebody from a strange cult, you've got the information right there. Oh, we do have some more. Good, look at that. Awesome. And they need one of the handouts, Peter? One of the, oh good, thank you. Now please, very important, this is going to be added to, added to, added to, added to, added to. So what's going to happen is going to go like this, then like this, then like this, then like this, then like this, right? It's going to be attitude. And what did you say? Amen. Yeah, you're going to have a good resource. But the key is showing up every single Sunday school. Don't miss because there's going to be great things that you're going to be learning each time. Now, we're going to show a short video. And on the video, I want you to take notes, not of every single thing that is said, but bold. OK, what's the main point here? And what's the main point here? And what's the main point here? Because we want to talk about those as soon as if we have time. Okay? So, Aidan, are we ready to? This from the John Ankerberg Show. Tonight on the John Ankerberg Show, John's first guest will be Bill Stettinor, who for more than 25 years was a zealous Jehovah's Witness. Because of his skills, knowledge, and dedication, he rose in the Brooklyn headquarters of the Watchtower Society until he was given the responsibility to answer all questions submitted by people south of the Mason-Dixon line. He worked with the president of the Jehovah's Witnesses. from the Jehovah's Witnesses Society. Identifying the prophet. They claim to be the prophet of Jehovah God. In other words, what they say comes from God. In fact, the president of Jehovah's Witnesses in a courtroom when asked who is the editor of the Watchtower magazine, and here we have a photograph of the court transcript, and he says the editor of the Watchtower is Jehovah God. God. So, in other words, that the Watchtower Society is the direct spokesman or spokes organization, if you want, for the very words of God. That's right. That's a lot of authority. That's the highest position a person or an organization can have on earth. How long have they been making that claim? Here is the photo of the first president of Jehovah's Witnesses, Charles Taze Russell, who made it through the seventh grade. And he says that he is the angel of Laodicea, spoken in Revelation, the third chapter. He is God's channel of communication, God's spokesman, and that he is God's prophet, and that he is the faithful and wise servant, spoken of in Matthew, the 24th chapter. Jesus merely asked the question, and he volunteered. Did this information, when did the Jehovah's Witnesses actually begin? Jehovah's Witnesses began in 1874 with the announcement that Jesus would be here visibly in 1874. In 1875 Charles Taze Russell was a little upset because Jesus didn't show up when he told him to come. What did he say? So for about two years he didn't know what to say and then he met a man by the name of Barber. And Mr. Barber, who never studied Greek, told Mr. Russell that there is a word in the Bible, parousia. Now neither of these men knew anything about Greek and they were explaining Greek to each other. And they came up with a definition that the word parousia means presence. So that Jesus really did come in 1874, you just can't see him. And so that started the excitement. And the new watchtower that was born in 1879 with the headline, Christ's presence is here. It violates Matthew, the last sentence in Matthew, where Jesus says, I will be with you always. But according to the Watchtower, Jesus really did come in 1874, invisibly. Okay, today, are they still making the same claims? I mean, they said they were the spokesperson for God, and they've made some claims that didn't come true. Are they still saying that they are the only ones that have the true religion, the only way to God? Absolutely, they do. What's the evidence that they're saying that? Okay, in the 1965 Watchtower, July 1st, he says, he that is speaking of God does not impart his Holy Spirit and an understanding and appreciation of his word apart from his visible organization. So this is the spokes paper of the Watchtower organization, the Watchtower magazine. The Watchtower magazine is actually a doctrinal organ. Right. Is that correct? It's written by Jehovah God. Now, do the Jehovah's Witnesses actually hold that the Bible is the authority, or is it the Jehovah's Witness magazine with the Bible? I have a friend, her name's Charlene Reyes, and she was a very zealous Jehovah's Witness. And when she saw things weren't according to the Bible, and some of the things, the circuit servant that travels around asked her if she had the Bible on one hand and the Watchtower magazine on the other. And the magazine said something a little contrary to the Bible, which would she choose? And she said, the Bible. And she was disfellowshipped for that. John, what does the word mean to be disfellowshipped? That means that you are completely taken out of the organization and no one speaks to you and you are just dead, spiritually dead. Excommunicated. Excommunicated is a good word. You're not allowed to have fellowship with any one of Jehovah's Witnesses and they are not allowed to have fellowship with you. eating with you, come into your home, even speak to you and say hello if they should meet you on the street. And this includes families. You become a dead person. So let me get this straight now. So through the Watchtower magazine, they're making the claims that they are the only organization that gives the true word from God, all right? That's right. Now, that comes from where? The Watchtower magazine. It's really edited by the president of Jehovah's Witnesses. Who is now? fred w france freddie france all right and he gives it out completely or are there group of editors yes there's a group of editors but they have to agree with freddie france who talks to angels he's been talking he's been talking to angels since about nineteen hundred and twenty where does he say that He says it in Watchtower magazines, he says it in Watchtower publications, and prior to Freddie it was Judge Rutherford who was never a judge. He also claimed to talk to angels and so did Charles Taze Russell. Now this is a typical sign of all the prophets who are in existence on earth today and who have been in our generation who all speak to God. So the President is actually considered to be the prophet right now, the spokesman for God through that organization and the believers down below must follow that line. He has established a scapegoat prophet in that he says that all the Jehovah's Witnesses who are part of 144,000, the remnant of the 144,000 are this prophet but this this group has never gotten together at any place to vote on any prophecy and not only that i was a part of that group and because i express myself that i didn't agree with some of those in fact there was quite a few of us that didn't agree we were disfellowshipped so if we were part of it why didn't we have the opportunity did you ever come up with any prophecies no just that they're wrong So these people who are part of the 144,000 have no voice. That's right. In fact, should they express their voice, they would be dismembered from an organization that has no members. That's right. That's the claim. There's no membership. What else did the Jehovah's Witnesses claim? Jehovah's Witnesses claim that there is only one right religion. Now, this is a photograph of the Watchtower of February 15th, 1955. It says there is only one right religion, and that religion is the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses. What if somebody doesn't belong to the Watchtower Society or the Kingdom? Well, they're part of the devil's organization. That's right. All of the pastors, all of the ministers, all of your Bible schools are all an abomination in the sight of God. What is going to happen to all the people that are not a part of the Watchtower Society? They are going to be exterminated. October 1st, 1975. But that's past, and we're all sitting here. Where does it say that? In the August 15, 1968 Watchtower, it tells all Jehovah's Witnesses, now this is 1968, they're telling all Jehovah's Witnesses to look forward to 1975. But they also told them to look forward to 1874, 1879, 1881, 1914, 1918, 1925, and now they have that new disease called loss of memory. They can't remember ever saying anything about any date for Jesus to come. And here it is in their publication. What did they say was going to happen in 1975? That the earth would be exfumigated of everybody other than Jehovah's Witnesses. So you must get into the ark with Noah and all the animals before nineteen hundred and seventy-five the organization yeah it was chronology that they arrived at that date they claim that mankind will only be upon this earth for six thousand years there has to be uh... seven thousand year period in which the thousand year reign of christ has to come so they said that nineteen seventy five october first would be the end of six thousand years of man's existence so according to their own chronology armageddon should have come before that, so that the millennium could begin then. Mr. Franz apologized for 1975 because a lot of people sold their homes, ran up their master charge, and cashed in their life insurance policies. and because they wouldn't need anything and they'd just like to leave a bill for 1976. He has come up with a new date, however, in the last graduating class of Gilead. Gilead is their missionaries that they send out every six months and he intimated several times that the world is going to end prior to 1988. Okay, now Bill, why don't you tell the folks what your position has been in the Jehovah's Witnesses. I was born at a very early age to two Jehovah's Witnesses. Pretty close to your mother. Yes. And I grew up through the organization, starting out with short pants, knocking on people's homes and asking them, do they have an immortal soul? One lady said, what? I said, do you have an immortal soul? She says, she didn't know for sure and I told her that she didn't have an immortal soul and she says, oh yes I do. I said, Ezekiel 18.4 says you don't have an immortal soul. Well, as I grew up through high school and finished high school by refusing to salute the flag, refusing to eat anything cooked in aluminum pots, refusing to get married, refusing to smoke, chew tobacco, or get drunk. or celebrate Christmas or Easter, not allowed to vote, served on a jury duty. When I was 17 years old, I was invited by the President of Jehovah's Witnesses to work in God's visible, theocratic organization, which, to the Watchtower, is the secret place. In Matthew 24, 24, Jesus says that these false prophets will have a secret place. That means that they're going to be able to go to a place so that they could talk to angels to get information, superhuman information. And then 1950 is when I entered the secret place, which is 124 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York. No secret anymore. And how long were you there? Eight and a half years. My first job was washing dishes. Second one on the next day was being a waiter. handing food to the president of Jehovah's Witnesses to the legal counsel, making hot coffee for them. And then within about a year, I was working in the service department. Now the service department is where you answer questions. My section was Mason-Dixon Line South through Texas. That would include Tennessee. So people in this area who would be asking from the kingdom halls questions or if they were disfellowshipping, someone was disfellowshipped, they had a Supreme Court to go to, I, at the age of 20, was answering marital problems and questions from the headquarters, because information from heaven via angels somehow permeated my brain, went down the spinal column, Around the elbow, on my fingertips, through the typewriter. And what you typed went into the presses, and when it came out in the Watchtower magazines, through the materials that were printed, at that point it was God's truth. The service department in 1952 is located on the ninth floor. we would have editorial meetings as to what was going to be in the next issue of a little internal magazine called Kingdom Ministry. And I remember one time we were discussing something and it got into a little bit of an argument. Mr. Knorr, at that time, who was the president, got up from his chair, walked over to the door, and he says, you can argue about it, here as long as you want to. Once you get it thrashed out and it comes off the sixth floor. Now the sixth floor is the printing press. Once it's off the printing press, he says, it is the truth. He made it very short. Once it's off the sixth floor, it's the truth. All right, we're going to take a break. We're going to come back. We're going to find out how the rest of you fit in to this. We have one man that was answering the questions for everybody south the Mason-Dixon line on all of America's floor, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and we want to find out the other positions that you folks held. We'll do that. We'll come right back. Well, that's very interesting, huh? The Jehovah's Witnesses are a pack of liars. Now, the average Jehovah's Witness is clueless. but the organization is just one lie after another, after another, after another, one false prophecy after another. Did you notice how many false prophecies? He is coming back in 1974, and when he didn't come back, the guy named Charles Russell, who was the original founder, was confused, and for a couple of years didn't know what to say, met another guy, who did not know the Bible, did not know the original languages, and said, oh, he really did come back. There's a word parousia, which means an invisible coming, which is not what it means, but that's the way that they twisted the scripture. And so he really did come back. It was similar to, we'll see when we get to the Sunday Adventists, they had the same thing happen. They had a prophecy. that Jesus was going to physically come back. He didn't physically come back. So Ellen White got a revelation from an angel that he really did come back. He just didn't come all the way to the earth. He came to the clouds. So in the Seventh-day Adventist and the Jehovah's Witness, they both have that same invisible second coming. So they don't believe anymore in a literal second coming. But then they said what was gonna, and I remember this because I was a Christian in the early 70s, I got saved. So their last real clear date was 1975. And you remember what he said was gonna happen in 1975? that God was going to fumigate the world, that was their word, fumigate the world, and every single human being other than the Jehovah's Witnesses would be exterminated. Like we're a bunch of cockroaches, he's gonna exterminate us, fumigate the house, and the only ones left would be the Jehovah's Witnesses. Now, I remember that very visibly because there was a guy that I had been witnessing to for about a year. And I worked out at a gym in St. Petersburg, and he was a member of the gym, so we would work out together. And then I didn't see him for a few weeks. And if you're working out, you can't do that. You're supposed to be there constantly, you know. Finally, I see him, and I had driven, went over to his house or something, and I said, where have you been? He said, oh, I joined an organization. He had become a Jehovah's Witness. And he started really pressing on me. Jesus is coming next year. Jesus is coming next year in 1975. So this is 74 when I was talking to him. And so I listened to some of their Bible studies. I said, now let me make sure that I'm understanding what you're saying. He's literally physically going to come to earth and live. And oh yes, absolutely. Now, the reason I'm stressing that is because now most of the Jehovah's Witnesses in America have become Jehovah's Witnesses since 1975. And you are not at all to look up previous Jehovah's Witness material, not to do any research. And it is absolutely verboten to Google anything and say, you know, what's Jehovah's Witness view on this or, you know, how do you, no, you absolutely, all of that is Satan's realm. Go ahead. So they literally do not want you looking up, even though you are telling them, look here, you'll find the truth. You see the conversation just fall. They will literally tell them, do not write it down. Do not write it down. Oh, yes. Now, I don't know if you noticed what the man was doing, Bill, was doing at the very beginning. He was turning in a notebook and holding it up so the camera could see it. And he'd say, here is a photograph of the Watchtower Magazine March blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever. The reason he did that, and I remember specifically having that little notebook, because what, it was so hard to talk to a Jehovah's Witness, they wouldn't believe anything you said. Nothing you said. For example, on your notes, if you look at page two, right on the profile notes, look at page two. If you look at the very top, the very top paragraph, Well, go to the bottom of the first page first. I want to lead into it, where it says, Rutherford made the Watchtower. Does everyone see where that is? That's the profile page one. Last paragraph on the page. Who would read that for me? Rutherford made the Watchtower Society's third bail petition regarding the end times in 1920, when he wrote, we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaiah, Jacob, and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the apostle in Hebrews chapter 11, to the condition of human perfection. So here's the prophecy. All of these mighty men, Abraham, Joshua, et cetera, they are going to rise from the dead, and be brought back to earth, okay? Now, keep going. Now, before you go any further, Beth Sarim means the house of the princes. And you can still get a photograph of it. I used to have a gospel track that had a photograph of Beth Sarim. It's a mansion that was built, guess who for? No, it was for Abraham and Joshua, right? Daniel and all these guys. But keep going, where's Beth Sarim? Right? They've got to live somewhere, right? They've got to rise from the dead. They've got to live somewhere. So we're going to build them a mansion. Well, keep going. You see, here's the problem. Today, what the Jehovah's Witnesses, the new ones are told, we never said that. You know, I was out knocking on doors and I came across this Baptist guy who said that we built a house called Beth Sarim for Abraham. Oh, that's baloney. So they just will lie to the people. Shameless lies. We didn't have the time to go into all of the comments that Bill makes on the John Ankerberg show, but he gives numerous examples. See, remember, this guy Bill is a multi-generational Jehovah's Witness. And you can tell by the clothing and everything, this is from like the long time ago. And so he was in it. I mean, he was in it and his parents were in it. And so when he became a genuine Christian, he got saved and saw all the false prophecies. He thought, I'm gonna really dig into what my parents were telling us. So he went into their attic. Got a whole bunch of their Watchtower magazines, their millennial, whatever it was called. I can't remember off the top of my head. They, you know, they had a series of books that they put out explaining all of their views and what's going to happen. And all of the false prophecies. So he brought the book down to his dad. He's like, Dad, do you remember when you were telling us this? He goes, I never told you that. He said, you're my dad, I heard it from you and it's in this book in our attic. I never said that. That's how brainwashed they are and how absolutely unteachable they can become. And it takes something unusual to get them to wake up. And that's why I'm constantly harping, read your Bible, read your Bible, read your Bible. When I preach, it's like word by word by word, making sure that you're following. Don't believe anything I have to say. There is no cult leaders that you want to listen to. Believe what God says. and check it out and go to the internet and search wisely, look up good, reliable websites of trained biblical scholars and check all these things out. Okay, we've still got a couple of moments. Let me draw your attention to the, what do we want to call this? The pamphlet, is that a good cheat sheet? All right, let's draw attention to the cheat sheet pamphlet and look first page in Jehovah's Witnesses. And the center column right down there is the topics that they hold. You know, for all the different cults, whatever cult. So if you want to know what is that cult you believe about God, just, you know, put your finger down to God. Make sense to everybody? The founder, first one there, Charles Russell, later Joseph Rutherford, he called himself Judge Rutherford because he was a lawyer, but he was never a judge. Again, more lies. I'm not sure who the current guy is. There was another guy named Freddy Franz, which he mentioned, Frederick W. Franz. Then there was another guy named Nathan Knorr. And then there was another guy who, you know, because now it's been going. So there's somebody who's like the head. Now keep in mind what he said. Whoever the head guy is at the Watchtower in Brooklyn, New York, he is in direct contact with angels. Like Muhammad, like Joseph Smith, like Ellen White, like all of the false prophets. All of the false prophets have angels showing up, telling them. And with that in mind, open your Bible to the book of Galatians. You know where we are in Romans, so go about three books to your right. Romans, 1 Corinthians, Galatians. This is a very important passage to have under your belt, Galatians chapter one. Galatians chapter one. And watch what Paul is saying in verse six. Paul is writing to the Galatians and he says, I marvel is chapter one, verse six. Everyone find that? Galatians 1.6. If someone beside you can't find it, give them a helping thumb. Just wet your thumb, scoot over by them and turn the page for them. Help them find the verse. Galatians, so Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, chapter one and verse six. Paul is writing to the Galatians and he's concerned. He is greatly concerned. I marvel that you are turning away so quickly, so soon, from, away from Him, that's God, who called you in the grace of Christ. See, if you turn away from the grace of Christ, you're turning away from God. If you turn to all of these different cults, you're turning to good work, salvation, and as a result, you're turning away from God. Now they won't tell you that. They'll even have the name, we're the church of God, we're the church of Jehovah, you know. But this is what Paul says. This is what God says through the apostle Paul. Verse six. Away from him who called you in the grace of Christ. Grace means what? G-R-A-C-E. God's riches at Christ's expense. G-R-A-C-E, which means free gift. Free gift. So there's a long way of remembering it, God's riches at Christ's expense, G-R-A-C-E, or a short way, free gift. That's pretty good. So he says, verse six, you're turning away from God who called you into the free gift from Christ to a, what? To a different gospel. A different gospel. Now in the English language, the word different doesn't really let you in on something, but in the Greek language, there are two words for different. One word means, like if I said, I'm sitting at a table, and you have a bowl of fruit, and you give me an apple, and boy, it's crunchy and sweet, and I eat that crunchy, sweet apple, and I say, can I have another? I mean, another of the same kind, right? But if I bite into it and there's worms in it and it's dry and dusty, I'm like, could I have another? In that bowl of fruit, I mean another type, another piece of fruit that's different than what I just had. So one means another exactly of the same kind. One means another of a different kind. Make sense? Another of exactly the same kind, another of a different kind. And hang on a second. So what he's saying here in verse six is, you are being turned away to a gospel that is one of a totally different kind. It's not another of the same kind. And he clarifies that in verse seven, which is not another of the same kind. but there are some who trouble you, right? I mean, if I came in and I said, okay, I know that you trusted Christ. I'm talking to a bunch of Gentiles in Galatia. And I said, I know you trusted Christ and I know Paul told you it was a free gift and he was almost right. You really need to all go get circumcised. and we hired a doctor for the afternoon. So, all right guys, line up at the back room there. Is that going to be kind of a problem for somebody? You're going to be troubled, right? And if I start saying, not only that, but you have to work your way to heaven by being good, then you're really in trouble. He says in verse seven, this is not another of the same kind. It's not like there's two good gospels and one of them will both get you to heaven. One is the true gospel that gets you to heaven. The other is a different gospel of a different kind that is not the same kind. It'll get you to hell. And he says, they want to trouble you. Isn't it interesting? And they want, see the word want? They want to pervert the gospel. That's a really sad thought, isn't it? They want to do it. It's not like anybody's forcing Jehovah's Witnesses to do this, the founder of the cult. He wants to pervert the gospel. And so to pervert it is twisted, distorted. But Paul says this, who would read verse eight? So even if we, who are angels of heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we are preaching to you, And the word accursed means eternally damned. So he says, if anybody preaches any other gospel to you, but he didn't just say anybody, what does he say in verse eight? If we or an angel from heaven, That's like shocking. I mean, you're sitting in your room one evening, you've had dinner, you're wide awake, and you're sitting there reading your Bible, and this glowing, brilliantly shining being comes into your room. He's got a sword, and he's got light radiating out of him, and he says, I am here to clarify the gospel. You've been telling people it's a free gift. It is not a free gift, you have to work for it. You're like, wow, that's an angel. I mean, it sure looks like it's an angel from heaven. What do you do? Get up and punch it in the nose. Say, you are a demonic false angel. You are a lying demon. And I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ. You are not speaking for the true and living God of the Bible, because Paul says very clearly, if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than what you have preached, let him be damned. Let him go to hell. So demonic angel, lying demonic angel, you're on your way to hell. God's gonna throw you into hell, and this is one more reason that you're going there. In other words, don't just believe any preacher who gets up, any religious figure that knocks on your door, or any angel that shows up in your room. It has to be absolutely diligently locked to scripture. If it deviates from scripture, they're out. Well, Paul, you can't really mean that. All right, who would read verse nine? As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone teaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. Says it twice, just in case you didn't get it. So my question sometimes to a Jehovah's Witness is this, before I tell them who I am or anything, because as soon as you say, oh, I'm a Bible-believing Christian who knows the Bible, they're like, okay, we're gone. So I'll say, well, let me ask you, I've got a verse that's very important to me, but let me ask you this. In order to get to heaven, what do I have to do? And just let them talk. It'll be a combination of trusting God and working hard, right? All false gospels are the same thing. Believe in God and work hard. Believe in God and work hard. Then I say, once I've got them locked in and committed to saying that, once they say, yes, you've got to earn your way to heaven, I'll say, well, this is the verse that I have a problem with. Galatians 1, verse 6 through 9. And I just read it slowly to them. And I say, you need to understand very clearly, you and your little buddy here, because it's always, right, the one who's been demonically deceived for more years than the newer one. And I turn to the younger one, and I say, and you had really better heed this warning from the Bible. You are preaching a false gospel, and God himself says you are on your way to hell. You're eternally damned. So, a lot more to talk about to be continued, because we're out of time. Father, we do come before you humbly in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And we know that, Lord, our only hope is Jesus. Our only plan of salvation is Jesus. The only detergent to wash away our sin is the blood of Jesus. And we trust you, Lord Jesus, alone as our Savior. Thank you, God. Thank you for the cross. Thank you for the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. Help us to be bold and diligent as we talk to those in the cults. In your name, amen.
