Daniel's Humble Prayer

Daniel now reveals his real heart and dependence on God, as he cries out to the only One Who can forgive Israel's sins and restore her to her place of holiness, honor and ministry. Daniel humbles himself and identifies with his people as he pursues God's character as the covenant keeping God who always shows lovingkindness. This chapter is the heart and soul of the book of Daniel - Israel's sin created the need for captivity, and God's righteousness provided the only way back.
