Hello and welcome to our broadcast. Again, we're going to try to make it plain. We're going to try to make it simple. We're continuing in the subject concerning ecclesiastical separation. What does the Bible say? Well, we've been talking about the subject of separation and specifically ecclesiastical separation, that is separation at a ministry level. When do we separate and why do we separate from someone at a ministry level? Well, you would think the doctrine of salvation that everyone would agree that if someone is going to tamper with the doctrine of salvation, we are going to separate from them. However, that's not the case. God's plan of salvation has been changed by some who run under the banner of fundamentalism. Jack Isles wrote a book he called The Enemies of Soul Winning, and in this cesspool of heresy, Isles perverted God's plan of salvation. He blatantly disagreed with those who say we have to repent in order to be saved. He created his own definition of the word repent. It mattered not that Jesus, Peter, Paul, and thousands of our forefathers in the past 2,000 years said repentance is necessary to salvation. Hiles, obsessed with having a large amount of people in a building to listen to him preach, took it upon himself to change God's plan of salvation. Now we don't have to be too educated to figure out that if you change the plan of salvation, you are doing what the Bible calls a damnable heresy. There's heresy in the Bible and there's damnable heresy. A damnable heresy is a heresy that will damn you to hell. You change the plan of salvation, then you're going to give people a plan that will send them straight to hell. It mattered not to Hiles that Jesus said in Luke 13 and 3, I tell you nay, but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. And it mattered not that Jesus repeated it again two verses later when he said, I tell you, nay, but except you repent, ye shall all likewise perish. It mattered not to Hiles that in Matthew 9 and 13 Jesus said, I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. It mattered not that Jesus said in Luke 24, 47 that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations. It matter not that there can be no forgiveness without repentance. Jesus said in Luke 17 and 3, if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him, and if he repent, forgive him. In Luke 17 and 4 he said, and if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day he turn again to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him. There can be no forgiveness without repentance. It matter not to hiles that Peter said, Repent and be baptized, every one of you. It mattered not that he said in Acts 3 and 19, Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out. It mattered not that in Acts 11 and 18 God also, through the Gentiles, has granted repentance unto life, the Bible says. It mattered not a second Peter 3, 9, the Lord is not slack concerning his promise, but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. It mattered not to Hiles that Paul said in 2 Corinthians 7.10, for godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. It mattered not in Romans 2.4 that knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. It mattered not that Paul said in Acts 17.30, God commanded all men everywhere to repent. What part of that is too difficult to understand? Oh, and Ohio said, look, let's just pray like a prayer, like the Catholics do. He distorted the plan of salvation, consisted of simply praying a little forgiveness prayer, like the Catholics do. However, God has no respect for your person. If a forgiveness prayer won't work for a Catholic, it won't work if you call yourself a fundamentally independent Baptist either. Jesus said, I tell you nay, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Luke 13 and three. Well, surely there will be an outcry from pastors who know they are to rebuke those who teach things contrary to the doctrine which we have received. And is there any doctrine more important than the one of salvation? Well, it's been about 25 years since Hiles promoted his new plan of salvation. There's been a few voices out there, but they have been maligned as troublemakers who are causing division and they have a bad spirit. I've been exposing this Hiles heresy for 25 years. And I know a little bit about being branded as one who's causing division. In the 1960s, when exposing Billy Graham for his apostasy, I was told two things. One, if you say anything against Billy Graham, you cannot be my friend. Second, I was told you're just causing division. Well, recently I was told the same two things concerning the Hiles heresy. Oh, if you're going to say anything against Hiles, you cannot be my friend. And second, I was told I was just causing division. This time it was well-known men under the banner of fundamentalism that said it. But what about the sword of the Lord? Surely they would stand against this heresy. They not only refused to stand against Hiles' polluted plan of salvation, but under the direction of Curtis Hudson, they promoted it. Hudson supported his buddy, Jack Hiles, by writing a booklet that he called Repentance, What Does the Bible Say? And this damnable heresy is still available with the sword. Hudson even had the gall to take out any references to repentance in the hymn books that they sold. One example is the 1989 edition of Soul-Stirring Songs and Hymns has the song, The Old Count Was Settled. This song was written by F. M. Graham and it says, O sinner, seek the Lord, repent of all your sin, for thus he has commanded if you would enter in. Hudson changed it to line up with the Hiles heresy and the new edition of the soul stirring songs and hymns reads, O sinner trust the Lord, be cleansed of all your sins, repentance is removed, for thus he has provided, commanded is removed, for thus he has provided if you would enter in. This is not only wrong, to change those hymns, it was wicked. But does anybody say anything? No, no, no. If you're in the evangelical world, man, a little hair on your ear or on your collars, you're going to get yourself into trouble with us fundamentalists. But if you're a fundamentalist, you can go ahead and change the plan of salvation if you want, and we won't say anything about it. Something's sick about that picture. Well, back to the question, where do we draw the line on ecclesiastical separation? They are not so blind as those who will not see. If the doctrine of salvation is not a line-drawing issue, what is? Again, our problem is not understanding the will of God. Our problem is whether we will be obedient to the will of God or not. 2 Thessalonians 3, 6 says, Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly and not after the tradition which he has received of us. If you can change the plan of salvation and we're not going to bother looking at that verse and obeying it, I guess you can go ahead and change anything you want. If we are going to accept the heresy that says repentance is not necessary for salvation, we are accepting what God refers to as a damnable heresy. Peter, in 2 Peter 2 and verse 1 says, There shall be false teachers among you who shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. Now listen carefully to the words in that verse. Peter said, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, there shall be false teachers among you, who shall privately, secretly, bring in damnable heresies, what is that? Denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. Now Peter, again, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, warned us that false teachers would be among us. He said they would bring in damnable heresy. Remember, that's a heresy that'll damn your soul in hell. And he also said that these promoters of damnable heresies would even deny the Lord that bought them. Listen to that. Deny the Lord. No, he said you gotta repent. No, we'll deny the Lord. Deny the Lord that bought them. The Greek word translated bought has been translated redeemed three times. It is very obvious. that this verse is talking about Christians promoting damnable heresy, even denying the Lord that redeemed them. And so we have the subject of salvation, and what are we doing in this age in which we live? Well, just look the other way. We've got Jack Hiles and thousands of his little puppet pastors following him, saying, that's okay, let's just go along with what Hiles said, because that way we can get a bigger crowd in church, and get a bigger building, and pave the parking lot, buy some buses, and put up a gymnasium. Yeah, that's where we're living today. We're talking about understanding the times in which we live. Well, what about the issue of Calvinism? If you want a detailed message on the subject of Calvinism, please check our website for our book, Calvinism, down there called Heresy. It's there, it's available, it's free for download. What did John Calvin say? This way said, I quote, we call predestination God's eternal decree by which he compacted with himself what he willed to become of each man. For all are not created in equal condition, rather eternal life is foreordained for some and eternal damnation for others. John Calvin said that in the Institute of Christian Religion. He said that God has decreed eternal life for some and eternal damnation for others. That is an outright attack on the character of God. Calvin taught that God would be glorified by bringing people into this world to have them burn in hell for eternity. According to Calvinism, it might be your mother. It might be your little boy. It might be your daughter, your wife, and all the children in the church nursery that God will delight in sending to hell. It might even be you. That is heresy. Now this is not a damnable heresy such as Hiles and Hudson priests. That stuff with no repentance, that'll damn you to hell forever. You can believe in Calvinism and still get to heaven, but it's heresy. Heresy is heresy. It's an outright attack on the character of God. It's an outright attack on the truth of the Bible concerning the subject of salvation. What about parachurch organizations? In the New Testament, we read references to the church. 79 verses, and churches in another 36 verses. In the age in which we live, God has chosen the local church and only, only the local church to do his work. Paul wrote and said that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth, 1 Timothy 3.15. There are no instructions for parachurch ministries, and yet they have taken over from local churches. There's no scriptural grounds for any Christian organization to exist outside of the local church, absolutely no scriptural grounds. One of the main reasons we face the apostasy of our day is the flood of parachurch movements that are going on out there and doing that which is right in their own eyes. God has given his God's program for today is clear, it's a local church, we did it that way for about 2,000 years, but now we've decided we'll go the way of the world, we'll do it how they do it. While the structure of all parachurch ministries are contrary to the doctrine we have received of the Lord, the substance concerning what they teach may or may not be contrary to the word of the Lord. Do we draw a line concerning our fellowship with parachurch ministry at a ministry level? We absolutely do if we're going to be loyal to the Word of God. I want to emphasize at this point that we are talking about fellowship at a ministry level. For example, I would not be violating any scripture by having a coffee with Billy Graham. In fact, I would like to have a coffee with him. I was saved under his ministry. I would like to sit down and thank him very much for preaching that message and wherein I got saved. However, I doubt our meeting would end in sweet fellowship because after I thanked him for having a part in my salvation. I would need to rebuke him for his apostasy if I was going to be true to my God-given responsibilities. I want to close this broadcast with a personal word. There's many men in the ministry that I have considered my friends that I can no longer fellowship with at a ministry level. For example, Dr. Bob Jones III, Dr. Les Olala, both of these men were presidents of well-known parachurch Bible colleges. In the past, I have preached at both of their colleges. I consider both of these men to be among the most gracious and godly Christian men I have ever met. However, I cannot fellowship with them at a ministry level, because the Bible says when they are operating outside of the way the Bible says to, to have no company with them, yet count them not as an enemy, but admonish them as a brother. The will of God is not complicated, but it is costly. Our problem does not rest in our understanding of the will of God, Our problem rests in whether we want to pay the price or not. The bottom line is this, if you are going to draw the line where God draws the line concerning ecclesiastical separation, it is going to cost you something. Well there it is, plain and simple. Be sure to tune in again tomorrow for another broadcast. so
