Well, hello everyone. Welcome to church. Good morning. Good to see you guys. I'm going to preach a message about a parable, or it's kind of an analogy that Jesus uses. And it's kind of a confusing one, but these things are not supposed to be confusing. And I think if we get some context, we can really understand it. So let's start off with Luke chapter five, and then we're going to read. In fact, I'll tell you what, Let's do this. Let's go to Jeremiah chapter 48. I know exactly what I want to try to tell you guys, but I don't know exactly how I want to try to tell you. So that's not ideal, but here we are. Jeremiah chapter 48. And let's read just some of the verses. Jeremiah 48, we'll read some, then we'll go to the Lord in prayer, and we will talk about it. Jeremiah chapter 48, look at verse 1 of Jeremiah chapter 48. It says, against Moab, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, woe unto Nebo, for it is spoiled. Kirithaim is confounded and taken. Mizgab is confounded and dismayed. There shall be no more praise for Moab. In Heshbon they have devised evil against it. Come and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O madman, the sword shall pursue thee. A voice of crying shall be from Horenaim, spoiling a great destruction. Moab is destroyed, her little ones have caused a cry to be heard. For in the going up of Leweth, continual weeping shall go up. For in the going down of Horenaim, the enemies have heard a cry of destruction. Flee, save yourselves, and be like the heath in the wilderness. For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken. And Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape. The valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the Lord hath spoken. give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away. For the cities thereof shall be desolate without any to dwell therein. Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood. Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lease, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity. Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. Therefore behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles. And Moab shall be ashamed of Shemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence." Let's stop right there. We'll pray, and then we'll go on with it. Dear God, thank you so much for your word. Thank you for this time. Thank you for this day, giving us another day. Thank you for each person here. Lord, I pray that you'd bless this time. I pray that you'd use this time. I pray that you'd just soften my heart and each heart in this room. I pray that you'd help each person to hear exactly what you'd have them to hear and receive it and apply it to their lives and bless everything that's done here today, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, the title of the message is, Out with the Old, In with the New. And there's some lessons that we can get out of this. I want to just go through it, and then we'll get into the New Testament. So let's just go through this a little bit and talk about this. And I'm mixing up the order of the message. Like I said, I know what I want to tell you, but I don't exactly know how I want to tell it to you, and I'm sorry for that. But we'll see how it goes. But let's talk about some of these verses we just read. In Jeremiah 48, verse 1, it says, It says that Moab, Moab's full of corruption. It says Nebo is spoiled. I assume these are cities. I don't know all the context and the details. Probably there's people here that know it better than me, but let's get the application. I can let you dig into that. Nebo is spoiled. Kirithaim is confounded and taken. Mizgab is confounded and dismayed. There's no more praise in Moab. Moab's got some problems. That's what we see. Verse three, a voice of crying shall be in Horenaim. Just read these like I know them, as usual. spoiling and great destruction. Moab is destroyed, her little ones have caused a cry to be heard. For in the going up of Leweth, continual weeping shall go up. For in the going down of Horename, the enemies have heard a cry of destruction. flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness. Apparently, from just some cursory study this morning, asking Pastor Turk and kind of going over it, the heath in the wilderness, and I'm not going to just give you the definition in the deep, but I think it represents barren and nakedness and open and vulnerable. That's what I think it's supposed to be a picture of, the heath in the wilderness, just a bush growing up out of nothing, just barren and waste. But let's just go on. Verse 7, For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken. And Shemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. So the heathen wilderness, barren, naked, open, vulnerable, like I said, and it says that instead trusting in thy works and in thy treasures they should have been like the heath in the wilderness and I think about Proverbs chapter 3 the Bible says and I can't quote it real quick so I'll just go to it trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding in all that ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths so make yourself just barren and open before the Lord and not trusting in your own confidence and your own will and your own ways and your own judgment and And really, that's what this message is going to be about, is applying your judgment. And I'm going to say this right now. I don't know where it comes in. I do have it written. I believe, as I continue to learn, and I learn more preaching than I do any other way. I learn a lot sitting back there and learning and listening. I learn from other preachers I listen to. But I learn the most by putting messages together and bringing them to you. And I learned a lot recently by putting that James 2 message together. And I believe that the best, most accurate mark of a Christian that you're going to find is sound biblical judgment. I'm not talking about somebody that dresses right. I'm not talking about somebody that doesn't ever, you know, say something they regret. I'm not talking about, you know, I'm talking about sound biblical judgment. If somebody with time and with the Bible can't look at something and discern good from evil, That's a bad sign. A Christian ought to be able to judge righteous judgment, not according to appearance, but righteous judgment. So anyway, going on, trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not to thine own understanding. I believe that applies right here. Jeremiah 48, just getting into this Jeremiah, I want to explain this and get what we can get out of it and then take it to the New Testament. Verse nine. Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away, for the cities thereof shall be desolate without any to dwell therein. Verse 10. Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully. and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood." Doing the work of the Lord deceitfully is to dishonestly represent the Lord. I mean, obviously, first thing that comes to my mind is somebody says, thus saith the Lord, yet the Lord has not said thus. that is taking the Lord's name in vain, that is doing the work of the Lord deceitfully. But anytime we claim to be doing something for God, we don't do it God's way, anytime we make a claim that this is the way God would have it, this is for God, this is for the Lord, and it's according to our judgment and our will, then you're doing the work of the Lord deceitfully. Again, this is taking the Lord's name in vain. Taking the Lord's name in vain, probably everyone knows this, but it doesn't mean to add God's name to a cuss word, though that is certainly taking the Lord's name in vain. The biblical use of the term means to just say, this is of God, when it's not of God. It's not really of God, it's just in vain, it's just in show. You've put God's name on it, but it doesn't represent the Lord. And then it says, cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood. This has got to be, this has got to represent a lack of judgment. Your sword from blood. I mean, good grief. And let me tell you something else. There's something else from the James 2. In fact, we could turn, let's do it real quick, to James chapter 2. And I'll just show you real quick, Hebrews, James, chapter 2. Okay, let's just start in verse 1. We'll just read the first few verses. My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. You need to be applying the Lord's judgment. You need to be applying the mind of Christ and not your will to everything. For if there come unto your assembly a man with gold ring and goodly apparel, come unto the poor man with vile raiment, and ye have respect unto him that weareth the gay clothing, say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place. And say unto the poor, Stand thou here, or sit under my footstool. Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and check this out, and are become judges of evil thoughts. So when we think the term judge, I mean, let me just tell you this, when I read this, and I've read it, and I've read it, and I've read it, and I think a good synonym to put in there for judge in verse four would be to execute. Are you not executing evil thoughts? When you judge righteous judgment, you're executing the Lord's words against whatever it is you're judging, you're assessing. But when you judge evil thoughts, you're executing your ruling and your will and your judgment. You're executing it and it's evil. It's not good. It's not right. So it says, Cursed be he that keep back his sword from blood." I believe that you judge. You're going to judge righteous judgments. You're going to execute righteousness or you're going to execute your will, which is to judge evil thoughts. It's one or the other at all times, every time, all day, every day. You're either executing the Lord's judgment or you're judging evil thoughts in everything you do. So cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood. This is real easy to apply today because almost every Christian out there says well everybody's a Christian and everything's good and all the churches are good and everything everybody believes is good. That's not just that's just not true. Everything everyone believes is not right and good, and every church that says all kinds of different things can't be right, and every Bible that says all different things can't be right, you're just gonna have to at some point get your sword wet with blood and make some judgments. People aren't gonna like it, but you gotta do it. You know, you can judge, and it's gonna be hard, and it can be decisive, it can be definitive, but if it's the Lord's judgments, you've done right, you've not done wrong. So it's so important to understand that. Here's John 7 24. Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment. I'll give you another one. Proverbs 24. These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment. Remember it says, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ with respect of persons. It says, it is not good to have respect of persons in judgment. He that saith unto the wicked, thou art righteous. Him shall the people curse. Nations shall abhor him. But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth the right answer. So in the end, they're going to appreciate the truth. It says, every man shall kiss his lips that giveth the right answer. In the end, they will respect and appreciate the truth. They won't like it right away. We're not going to go to James 2. We've already talked about that. Let's continue in Jeremiah 48. And that's not even really what I want to talk about. I'm just setting up what I want to talk about. Jeremiah 48, look at verse 10. It says, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood." Again, I believe the surest mark of a Christian is biblical judgment. I believe that. Jeremiah 48 11, Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lease, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel. Neither hath he gone into captivity, therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles." Clearly, you guys can see the wine analogy here, and there's wine analogy throughout the Bible, and it's just something that they understood. So God used the analogy. And I think it's good because you've got the preservation, you've got the maturation, you've got, there's a lot in wine and you know, it can go bad and it can, it can age and go good. It can be get better and not go bad and not ferment. And so there's a lot into wine. I'm not a wine drinker. I've never been a wine drinker. I don't know anything about wine. But let's talk about this just a little bit. Lees, you guys probably know, is the dregs of the wine. Webster's 1848 says, the grosser part, and gross means thick in this instance, and we just can't define every word, so let's just go on. The grosser parts of any liquor which have settled on the bottom of a vessel. dregs, sediment, as the lees of wine. It says, Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees. Moab's just been at ease all along. I said this before, thank God that he allows you to endure some trials, that he puts some storms in your life because remember, God wants to bring you to a point that you would repent and believe on him. Once you've done that, he wants to perfect you and make you better and he's gonna use, if you just settle and get comfortable, he's not changing you and he's gonna send some big kind of storm and what does it say? Cause you to wander, empty vessels, break your bottles. That's gonna hurt. Moab has been at ease. all along. Moab has settled on his lease. He's satisfied. I think of this as everything is already fine. Jesus fits right into my way of life. How many people do you know that got saved? Said they got saved. Boy, you can't tell any difference at all in their life because the Jesus that they received just fit right into their life. Just slid right in there. No problems, no change, upset, nothing. I was doing everything right. You're not doing everything right. There isn't anybody here that doesn't need to change something to please the Lord. There's just no way that you can receive the Lord and He just slides right into your will and your way. You know, Moab, everything's fine. Everything's been fine. We've been at ease all along. I'm likening this to being saved, but being saved is not just gonna fit into your life. It's gonna drastically change your life. It's gonna drastically change the way you see everything. It's gonna change you from the inside out. And if you were just already fine, but you added some belief, not saved. Moab, it says, let's see what it says. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will send unto him wanderers. Now what is that? I don't know. Somebody else could teach me, but we're not going to talk about that. That shall cause him to wander and shall empty his vessels and break their bottles. Moab hasn't been emptied from vessel to vessel. Never been changed. Never got a new nature. I'm likening Moab to a man. I realize it's a nation we're talking about here. Not a new man. No change. just trying to patch an old garment. And that's actually what I want to preach about here today. But can you guys see where we're going with this? Out with the old, in with the new. That's what this is about. Moab, in this analogy, is just trying to patch an old garment. And that only makes the new patch and the old garment look worse. That's not the way to go. It says Moab's not gone into captivity. Moab has never needed to be rescued. It says Moab has been at ease from his youth, settled on his lease, not been emptied from vessel to vessel, never changed, never become a new person. This is to apply to the person, the sinner. Neither hath he gone into captivity. Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed." Never gone into captivity, never needed to be rescued, never needed to be saved. You know, let me tell you this, nobody, not men, not cities, not nations, nobody gets saved by God from his wrath without asking for it. He's not just going to give it to you. You're going to have to need it. You're going to have to go into captivity before you can turn and need to be saved. Here's a good way to say it. When Jesus heard that, he said unto them, they that behold need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth. I will have mercy and not sacrifice, for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Now this is deeper than what we think. It says, go and learn what that means. I will have mercy and not sacrifice. Nothing you could give or offer could do the job, you will accept my mercy, and that is the only way you will get in. I am not come to call the righteous, those with some acceptable sacrifice, Cain, but sinners to repentance, Abel. Jeremiah 48 verse 11. And we'll be done with Jeremiah very quick. It says, Moab hath been at ease from his youth, hath settled on his leaves, hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity. Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. Still stinks before God. You know, God's going to send something to shake them up. They need to be broken and emptied of self and made new. And again, apply this to salvation. If you've never been broken and needed to be repaired or lifted up, if you've never been in rescue, needed for rescue, then you've not been rescued. If you've never needed to be healed and filled with the Spirit, and if you've never needed anything from the Lord, you've not got anything from the Lord. I just want you to know, The God of the Bible doesn't just slide right into your life, just no problems, no upset, no change. It just doesn't work that way. That's what Moab was doing. Everything was good, at ease from his youth, settled on his lease, not emptied from vessel to vessel. You're going to be emptied from vessel to vessel. Go to Matthew chapter 9. Matthew chapter 9, and we're in good shape. Matthew chapter 9, look at verse 1. And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For weather is easier to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee, or to say, Arise and walk. But that ye may know that the Son of Man hath power on earth to forgive sins. Then he saith to the sick of the palsy, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose and departed to his house. But when the multitude saw it, they marveled and glorified God, which had given such power unto men. So Jesus is upsetting these Pharisees. And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the receipt of custom, and he saith unto him, follow me. And he arose and followed him. And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat, he's eaten, in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. They're all eaten. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, why eateth your master with publicans and sinners? But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, they that behold need not a physician, but they that are sick, but go ye and learn what that meaneth. I will have mercy and not sacrifice for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast off? Not only why are you eating with these bums, why are you even eating? They say, Me and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not. And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bride chamber mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. Verse 16, No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, For that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles, else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish, but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved." There's so much in here, and I'm just going to touch on some of it. It says, so we start off, and they go to, it says Matthew's house, and they're gonna eat, and they're sitting down to eat, and some of these guys say, why are you eating with these sinners and these publicans? And Jesus says, listen, this is not what you think it is. I'm calling the sinners to repentance. I'm calling people that need something to come and get it. You don't need anything. This is not for you. If you need something, then come and get it, but you don't need anything. That's what he's telling them. So he goes on, and then they say, well, you know, why are you even eating? You know, we do all this stuff that we're supposed to do. Haven't you got this list of stuff you're supposed to do? He says, listen, you don't get it. First of all, I am the bride or I am the groom, he said, and you can't fast with the groom there. And obviously what he's talking about, he's bringing from an old covenant and it's going to replace it with a new covenant. And he said, we're not going to blend the two. We're not going to mix the two. We're not gonna take these old things that you know and try to apply them here. No, you're gonna apply mercy and truth. You're gonna judge all things by Christ. You're gonna judge everything God's way of judging. You're not gonna judge it by your judgment. You're not gonna say, oh, these people are dressed good and they're better, they're for the Lord. No, that's going back to James where the things that you think and your judgment from your eyes is judging evil thoughts, executing evil thoughts. But if you would judge here, with God's thoughts in the mind of Christ, then you would do right. And that's what Jesus is trying to explain to him. You guys are seeing it all wrong. He says, no man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Here's a good way to say that. I can't quote this, so I just have to turn to it, but it's Romans chapter 11, verse six. Pastor Turk quotes it often, but I don't think you can quote it either. It's a hard one to quote. And if by grace, then it is no more of works. Otherwise, grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise, work is no more work. What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for, but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Verse six is all I wanted, but we could just go on into this whole thing. We're not gonna... Jesus is making a change. Something's changing, and that's what they're not understanding. They're wanting to mix the old with the new. How do we apply this to us? Well, when you get saved, when you want to serve God, out with the old, in with the new. You're not going to be able to blend it. You're not going to be able to make your proclivities and your will and your life just blend beautifully with the things of God. You're going to have to change. crucify the flesh with the affections and the lust and that's what you're gonna have to do and that's what's being taught here you can't take the old things and put them with the new and say look it just fits so well it's of the Lord that is another Jesus that just fits perfectly into your life I want you to know that one more thing here let's go to Matthew chapter 12 Gosh, I might finish up early. Matthew chapter 12, verse one. At that time, Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn, and his disciples were in hunger and began to pluck the ears of the corn. I just want to say real quick, the wine's just an analogy. Just using the wine, they understand the wine. That's why we looked at Jeremiah, because the wine has got a lot of teaching in it. We don't get it. Everybody gets their wine from Budweiser or whatever today, but back in this day, I was listening to somebody preach, D.A. Wait, is that right? And he, man, I enjoyed the way he, it was just like a, it was like, if there was any wisdom in that room, they were going to get it out because it was just a back and forth and everybody. And it was very good. And he had a lady in there that was, and of course he had to lead the thing and there should be a leader obviously. And I believe in all that, but, but he had a lady there who's who, and I could barely hear, I had it turned up and I was listening, trying to listen to her out, but she grew up and her grandpa was Italian and made his own wine. and it would, over time, get better, but it would have very little, very low, almost not even noticeable alcohol content, and something had to do with it being sealed, and listen, I don't know all the details, all right, but wine can get old and not be fermented. The fermentation is bad, it's poison. You guys know that, so there's a lot of pictures in wine of something maturing and becoming better over time, of something maturing and becoming worse over time, of something being made new, of the vessels, of all that. There's so many pictures in the wine. I can't explain it all. I just want you guys to see that when you take old wine skins and new wine and put them together, it's going to burst. You say, why is it going to burst? Well, I don't know about the wine, but it's going to burst. So let me tell you what you can't do. You can't take your old man and your old ways and your old will and mix them with the things of God and say it works. It doesn't work. That's how you end up being charismatic Or you just name it off. There's a snare in every flavor. There's a pit in every color. Whatever you like, there's one for you to fall into if you just mix the things of God with the things of you. But that's not what's to be done. Matthew chapter 12, verse one. At that time, Jesus went on the Sabbath day, threw the corn, and his disciples were in hunger to begin to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungered, and they that were with him? How he entered into the house of God, and did he the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, that in this place is one greater than the temple. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless. If you had done what I said earlier, and gone and learned what this mean, you wouldn't be bothering me about this now. But you didn't go learn what this mean, you still don't understand it, and here you are bothering me again about this. If you had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. Ye would not have condemned the guiltless." By the way, Jesus did not break the Sabbath. He says right here that He's guiltless and they're condemning Him unnecessarily. For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath day. And when He was departed, thence He went into their synagogue. And behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked Him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days, that they might accuse Him? And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you that shall have one sheep? And if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and held a council against him, how they might destroy him." So he's saying, no, it's not, if you were a doctor, it wouldn't be okay for you to practice on the Sabbath, but if you got a sheep that falls into a pit or if somebody needs their arm, it's okay to do right and to do good on the Sabbath. So what's he saying? He's saying that we're not going to judge everything by the letter, by your standards that you've got written down here and put it rolled up and put in your phylactery on your head to show everybody how how righteous you are. We're going to judge it by the law of God, by righteousness and mercy and equity and truth. And that's how you judge it all. So is it the Sabbath day? Should you be working? No, but my sheep is in the ditch, so I've got to do it. It's right to do right on the Sabbath day. This is just an example how I said this before, and I'm not trying to pick on anybody, but if you think you got to get off at sundown because the Sabbath is about to start, then you are gravely mistaken. That is not how we judge the things of God. You got a job to do and God would have you finish the job. job. That would be judging things by truth and righteousness and equity, and that would be judging righteous judgment. But when you take the Bible and you use your own carnal, the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, neither can he know them. They're foolishness unto him. They're spiritually discerned. So when you, with your natural lost mind, try to mix these things and do these things and keep these rules, you're putting an old garment with a new patch, and they just both look terrible. And everybody can see it. It's making your old garment look awful. It's making it clear that you don't have a new garment, but rather just a patch. It's terrible. It's a terrible testimony. Judged by mercy and truth and equity. Let's go one more time into Jeremiah. We'll close up here. Jeremiah 48, and we'll skip all the way down. Look at verse 28. And this is what it boils down to. Why don't people get saved? Why don't people follow the Lord? Why don't people surrender? There's an operative word. Verse 28, O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities and dwell in the rock and be like the dove that maketh her nests in the sides of the hole's mouth. We have heard the pride of Moab. He is exceeding proud. His loftiness and his arrogancy and his pride and the haughtiness of his heart I know his wrath, saith the Lord, but it shall not be so. His lies shall not so affect it. Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab. Mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres, O vine of Sibma. I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jaser. Thy plants are gone over the sea. They reach even to the sea of Jaser. The spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits. And upon my vintage, ruined, all the best. And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field and from the land of Moab. And I have caused wine to fail from the wine presses. None shall tread with shouting. Their shouting shall be no shouting. That's all I got. Here's what's gonna happen. If you won't allow you to be moved from vessel to vessel, and I don't have it in front of me, if you won't need to go into captivity and need to be rescued, hey, he that is whole needs not a position. Go ye and learn what this meaneth. I will have mercy and not sacrifice. This is a new covenant. This is a new testament. This is a new standard. This is a, what is it Jesus said? a new law, but it's not a new law, but it's a new law. You know, love your neighbor as yourself, and love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, and might. Love your neighbor as yourself, and you've done it all. But judging righteous judgment, that's what this is coming down to, judging righteous judgment. And really, if you just judge that everything in your life is just fine, and it just works beautifully with the Lord, and God just liked it the way it was, He just likes me the way I am, then you're not serving the Lord. You gotta be like Moab and either get corrected and change or God's just gonna smash you and then we saw there in the end that he just took away all the good. And the wine analogy, I'm not a wine guy, probably other people could teach me more about the wine. I just want you to see, just like the rock and so many other things in the Bible, it's just an analogy meant to teach us. It's not meant to throw us off. Anybody have any questions about this message? Anything you'd like to add to this message? No? Let's pray. Dear God, thank you so much for your word. Thank you for each person here. Lord, I pray that we'd love your word, and we'd respect it, and we would just, we know that the fear of the Lord's the beginning of knowledge, God, and I pray that we'd run everything by your word, and everything would be in submission to your word, and our hearts would be as well. I pray that you'd bless this time, bless this congregation, be with each person here. In Jesus' name, amen.
