My Servant Shall Justify Many
Series Jesus in the Psalms & Isaiah
Isaiah 53:11 provides two accomplishments of the Substitution of Christ declared in verses 4-9. The two announcements "shall be satisfied" and "shall...justify many" stand together. When God's justice was satisfied justification was declared. The occasion was not eternity nor is it at the time of faith rather it is the Cross. Isaiah again points to the Cross repeating V6, "he shall bear their iniquities."
