The Dwelling Place of God

The dwelling place of God is where we abide with God and he with us and it is simultaneously the place of atonement (judgment) and the place of rest. (Atonement and rest belong together and ought never be separated.) Psalm 84 catches us up into the worship that issues from the hearts of those who have found their home in God's presence and know the blessing of having placed their trust in him for their salvation. That dwelling place (at home with God) is what we experience now by faith and will know fully at the end of the age in the new heaven and earth.
