you know that they used to have old saying them old-timers amen when I got saved I say pray to you get through everybody all right amen boy everybody wants to quit before they get through amen well just keep praying just keep praying amen You'll know it, you'll know it when you pray through. Somebody say amen right there. Amen. Y'all pray for us tonight, amen. I got something on my heart the Lord woke me up with this morning. And I want to help us tonight, be doing more teaching I think than preaching, but I'm just going to obey Him. I found out a long time ago He knows just exactly, amen, what we need. Amen. And we're going to start out in the book of Romans, got a lot to cover. We're probably going to go real quick, amen, so I won't worry your patience, but I want to be obedient to the Lord. I believe this is very needful in the day in which we live for children of God. Amen. There is some things that you can do in your life to guarantee you don't fall. Is everybody okay? There's some things in your life, child of God. Amen? The Bible tells us that we can do it and it'll guarantee we won't fall. And I say we're going to be perfect or nothing like that. Amen? But you won't have to worry about getting out of church. Is everybody alright? You won't have to worry about getting so defeated, amen, that you can't serve and worship God. Is everybody alright? You won't have to worry about getting back out in the world, amen, and getting hooked back on the bottle or hooked back on dope or anything like that, amen. There's some things you can do, amen, according to the scripture, amen, that'll guarantee you don't do that. Amen, not that we're gonna be perfect cuz we're not but we're gonna be starting out Amen first and foremost in the book of Romans chapter number 12 Like I said, I've got quite a few places marked and I'm gonna just kind of go quick. Amen do some teaching tonight Amen for a child of God And we're gonna start in the book of Romans chapter number 12. We're gonna read one verse there Amen Romans chapter number 12, verse number three says, and I know we get hung up a lot on verses one and two, and they're great verses. Somebody say amen. They are great verses and they, amen, they're very needful and a child of God's life. But Lord wants me to deal with some things, amen. Like I said, woke me up this morning, amen, with all this on my mind, on my heart. Now all I know to do, amen, is just obey Him and let Him handle the rest. Somebody say amen. Verse 3, For I say through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you. Now I wonder who that leaves out? Ain't gonna leave out nobody, amen? He's speaking to all of us, amen? He said, for I say through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. Is everybody alright? Well, if we ain't careful, If we ain't careful, boy, we'll let pride get in our heart and in our life, boy, and we'll get built up on pride. Is everybody okay? And we'll get to thinking we're something. The Bible says we're nothing. Amen. Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. These are things we don't need in our life. We don't need to get a big head. Somebody say Amen. We don't need to get a big head of what we can do and what we can accomplish. Is everybody alright? He said, This I say through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. Amen. I want to tell you something, child of God. The graveyard is full of people that thought the world could not go on without them. Is everybody okay? The graveyard is full of people that thought the church would fall apart if they was to die. Is everybody okay? I said the graveyard's just full of people that said, boy, if anything happens to me, everybody's gonna fall apart. They can't make it without me. The world will never make it without me. Is everybody okay? He said, don't you get to thinking. Don't you get too high-minded. Is everybody alright? Don't get pumped up with pride. Is everybody okay? Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly. Soberly. Amen. Soberly. I looked that up. Amen. It means to exercise. Listen to this. self-control, to put a moderate estimate upon oneself. Is everybody alright? I mean, ain't none of us better than nobody else. Ain't none of us worth more than anybody else. Amen? To think of oneself soberly, to curb one's passions. To be of sound mind, that is sane, figuratively moderate. Be in the right mind. Somebody say amen. Be sober minded. Amen. To be soberly. Amen. To think of yourself soberly. Amen. To put a moderate estimation on, amen, what your contribution is to society. Is everybody alright? Now I know, amen, we need preachers. I understand that. We've got a lifestyle where to live. But I'm going to tell you something about this preaching business. Amen. I'm going to tell you what happened to me, David. It humbled me to think that the God of glory would look down on something as rotten and as low life as I was and am. And He would trust me to preach His Word. Everybody all right? Amen goes right there. That's right. Boy, I tell you what, I was very humble, I was very thankful for that. Amen. Amen. And so, he said, for this I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Amen, we've all got faith. Everybody, the day you was born, God dealt to you enough faith in your heart, in your mind, and in your spirit, amen, to believe that God is God and you could be saved. Amen. We've all got that little bit of faith. to believe when it's watered, when the seed of God has been planted with it, and it's watered by the Word of God. Is everybody okay? Every man, woman, boy and girl, amen, I don't know how it's going to happen, I don't know where or when it's going to happen, but they're going to be offered an opportunity by the Holy Ghost to be saved. It's going to be up to them what they do with it. But they're going to have enough faith, Brother Darrell, to believe. Amen. Why? Because my Bible tells me that God's given to every man the measure of faith. Amen. The measure of faith. It's not a measure. God didn't just deal out to you more than He dealt to me. He didn't say, okay, I'm going to give Brother Tracy Puckett more faith than I give They're a minor. It didn't work that way. God dealt to every one of us the measure. Now we can let our faith grow, or we can let our faith just stay stagnant. Is everybody alright? We can trust God. We can live a life that's going to build up our faith. Is everybody okay? Amen. And help us to trust God. And there's things, amen, we're going to get into in a minute, amen, that we need in our life to keep us, amen, walking in by faith. Amen. In Galatians chapter 6 verse 6 he says, Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Amen? Just because I know a little something about the Bible doesn't make me better than anybody else. It's my responsibility, amen, to take what God has shown me through the Word of God and present it to each one of y'all, amen, and try to help y'all along the way, but not to get the big head and say, I know more than everybody because I found out over the years. Amen, there's a lot of them that know more than I do. Is everybody alright? A lot of them know more about the Bible than I'll ever know. But that's not going to stop me from trying to study it and trying to learn more. That's not going to stop me from trying to take what God has allowed me to learn over the years and hand it out to some of y'all that will be receptive of it. You can't help those that won't let you help them now. Is everybody alright? You can't encourage them that won't be encouraged by you. Is everybody okay? As I looked at that, amen, I want us to turn now to Galatians chapter five. Like I said, I got a lot of places marked. He said, don't think more highly of yourself than you ought to think. And then in Galatians chapter number five, verse number 26 says, let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Okay? Then he goes right into chapter number six. Listen to this. Here's what we're to do. Here's what we're to do. Us that are spiritually minded. Us that's been in the way a little longer than others. Are you listening to me? Listen to what he said. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault. If a man be overtaken in a fault. You which are spiritual. How do you be spiritual, preacher? You be spiritually minded. Amen, you feed the things of the Spirit more than you feed the things of the flesh. Is everybody okay? Amen goes right there. Now I shout and holler with the best of them because I shout and holler don't make me spiritual. Are you hearing me? I've heard a lot of dead shouts. Is everybody okay? I've heard a lot of shouts that didn't have nothing in it. Is everybody okay? But listen to what it says, brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fall, you which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness. Humility, lowliness. Is everybody all right? Is everybody okay? Man, we've done come into a time in 2025 when men are setting themselves up on a pedestal. It's not the people around them setting them up. They're setting themselves up on a pedestal and because of that, they think they're better than the others. Is everybody all right? They've lost that spirit of meekness. They've lost that humility. Is everybody all right? Well, hey, I'm going to tell you right now, amen, if you ain't humble, God ain't in it. Is everybody okay? Amen. And so he says, he said, listen to this. You want your spirit to restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. And then he said, bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. If a man think himself to be something, y'all get that? When he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. I don't want to walk around deceived. And I hope I've never come off that way to where I think I'm better than anybody, or I think I'm greater than anybody, or I think I'm a better preacher than anybody. I don't. I just preach it the way God gives it to me. I expect you to do the same thing. Just preach it how God gives it to you. Somebody say amen. That's right. Amen. Get in the Word of God. Find out what God says about every situation and every circumstance that comes up in your life, friend, and you cannot go wrong. But ye, listen to what He said, For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work. Wow. Amen. How do you prove it? But this right here. How do you check and see if what you're doing is really lining up with God's? Through the Word of God. Is it lining up with the Word of God? If it's not, it's not of God. But let every man prove his own work and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone and not in another. Amen? You won't worry about the pats on the back. Hey, I'm telling you, buddy, if what you're doing is pleasing to God, you won't be concerned about everybody else coming around. Oh, you've done good. Oh, that was great. Oh, you're the best. Oh, you're wonderful. Oh, this is the best thing since sliced bread. No, we won't be like that. Somebody say amen. Oh, I know we all want to do good for the Lord, and it does good sometimes for somebody to come by and say it, but I tell you, nobody never does. As long as God comes by and says, you've done alright, you can have rejoicing in that right there. It won't matter what everybody, whether nobody ever comes around. Is everybody alright? Amen goes right there. And that's what he's saying. So as I look at that, I want us to go to Ephesians, talking about faith. Ephesians chapter number two, I want to read this to you. I know you know it, but I want to read it anyway. He said, remember in Romans, we've all got the measure of faith, right? He tells us not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. But in Ephesians chapter number 2, this is it right here. Verse number 8. For by grace are you saved through faith, now listen, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Didn't none of us have enough power, amen, to save ourselves? Wasn't none of us good enough to save ourselves? Has everybody alright? Had God not given us the faith to believe? Are you hearing me? It says, by grace are you saved through faith, the faith that God gave us. Amen. And he didn't just go around picking and choosing who he was going to give it to. He gave it to everybody. So see, that kind of knocks out that, what do you call that, Troy? Calvinism. Calvinism, right there. Hallelujah. See, Calvinism would say, for most men have God dealt faith. You couldn't have that verse in your Bible, amen, if God had to dealt to every man the measure of faith. You couldn't have that in there if Calvinism was anything at all. Are you hearing me? That's false doctrine. I don't even know what... I know a little bit about it, amen. I know enough to know I don't want to have nothing to do with it. Is everybody okay? Calvinism says that God picked and chose who would be saved before they was born. Is everybody alright? I mean, them preachers, they don't even give altar calls, amen, because you're just going to be saved or you ain't. That's out of hell. Are you hearing me? Amen right there. Amen. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever, that's right, this is a whosoever. Amen, that covers everybody. Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen, and God's gave us the measure of faith. So by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Amen. But listen to this verse number 10. For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. We can say, child of God, we're supposed to be different. Amen. We're supposed to live different. We're supposed to have some good works. Amen. Works don't save you. Amen. But after you get saved, you'll have some. You get what I got, you'll have some. You want to do something for the Lord. Amen. For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Amen goes right there. And so as I begin to think and meditate on all this, I want to get to what God has given me. Amen. I want you to go to 2 Peter. 2 Peter. chapter 1 so we've established we've all got thing right right we've all got enough to be saved amen I feel like I'm preaching to the choir look out I believe most of you are saved you give that profession If you haven't, the devil will tell you you don't need to be or you can't be, but he's a liar. See, God wants you to be saved. It's not God's will. The Bible says it's not God's will that any should perish, but that all should what? Come unto repentance. Amen. Come unto God. Amen. God wants you to be saved. If He didn't, He wouldn't have gave you enough faith to believe that He is God and that Jesus Christ died for you and He wants to save you. Amen. You can be saved tonight. Amen. If you'll just call out on Jesus Christ. Amen. And so we've all got faith. Now what are we going to do with it when we get saved? How are we going to let it build in our life? Amen. Walking with the Lord. Trusting in Him. Amen. I agree with that. But there's things we can do, Gavin, that will assure us I mean, I've done seen too many walk away from God, brother Darrell, so I know they was missing something we're fixing to get into. I mean, I've done seen too many walk away from the church. I'm going to tell you right now according to the Scripture, there's some things we can put with our faith that will absolutely guarantee you you will never fall. And it's not going to be a bunch of pride and a bunch of look at me. Is everybody alright? It's not going to be smart aleck attitudes. Talk to me, church. Amen. 2 Peter chapter 1. I'm just going to start reading in verse number 1. Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ. To them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ. Who's he talking to? Every one of us. We've all got that faith. Amen? I've allowed myself to trust Him and to exercise the faith that God gave me to believe. Amen? And so have you if you're saved. So He's talking to us tonight. So listen to this. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God. Amen. Buddy, we ought to be in this book trying to find out all about God that we can. Not to say, look at what I've done, look at what I've learned. Amen. But to help somebody. Amen. Those that are taught in the Word. Communicate unto them that teacheth in all good things. Amen, it's our responsibility, our men and women, amen, to learn as much as we can about God and to teach the world that Jesus Christ loves them and that God wants to save them and that His Son died for them and show them through the Scriptures. Amen. But not to toot our own horns. Right? So listen, grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ and of Jesus our Lord. according as His divine power hath given unto us all things, all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue, whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises. Amen? God cannot lie. If God makes us a promise, guess what? God's got to stand on it. God's got to prove it. Somebody say amen. God cannot lie. And when God makes us a promise in His Word, amen, if we will abide by that, hey, that promise will stand. Somebody say amen. He's given us some great precious promises. that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now listen. And beside this, giving all diligence. Giving all diligence. Amen. I've looked these words up. I want to give them to you. I want you to make sure you understand what he's saying. Amen. which draws us like this, giving all diligence, steady application of any kind, in any kind of business, constant effort to accomplish, listen to this, what is undertaken. A constant effort on our part, giving all diligence. I mean, giving a constant. I mean, it's not that we do it for a little while and then we get tired and sit down. Oh, and then we're going to get back up. No, it's constant. It doesn't quit. I mean, it doesn't take a break. Is everybody all right? Giving a constant effort to accomplish whatever is undertaken, exertion of body or mind, listen to this, without unnecessary delay or slothfulness. Is everybody okay? I mean, buddy, if we're going to make sure that we don't wind up by the wayside, if we're going to make sure that we don't fall out of the church and fall away from God, he said, buddy, we're going to have to be constant in some things. We're going to have to go do it with unnecessary delays. We can't just wait. We can't just lay it on the back burner. Can't be slothful, lazy. without unnecessary delay or thoughtfulness, due attention and virtue. Now I want to get to that in just a minute. He said, and beside this, giving all diligence, amen, add to your faith. There it is. We're fixing to get into it. Amen. It's not only going to help us not to fall, but this is going to help our faith, our trust in God, because we're going to put his word to the test. We're going to trust His Word to do what He said He would do. And then we're going to look back in 20 years and you're going to say, you remember that lesson, amen, that brother Tracy got up and preached and taught on that Wednesday night about adding to your faith. Told me it would increase my faith. Told me I wouldn't fall. And I applied it to my life. You remember that 20 years ago? Amen, and it's proven out now. Is everybody okay? Oh yeah. That's what will happen if you'll do what the Scriptures say right here. He said, in giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue. Virtue. I looked that up. Amen? Moral goodness. Everybody alright? You got to have some morals, child of God. Everybody alright? We got to be different in the world. Amen? Moral goodness. The practice of moral duties. and abstaining from vice, amen, are conformity of life and conversation to the moral law. The practice of moral duties from sincere love to God and His laws is virtue in religion. A particular moral excellence as the virtue of temperance of chastity, of charity. Somebody say amen. Virtue. That's right. Amen. Amen. You ought to be chaste. Amen. You ought to keep yourself until you get married. Somebody say amen right there. Virtue. Amen. You ought to have some strengths in your life. Amen. You ought to have some things. Amen. I mean some morals. You ought to have a moral compass, child of God. We ain't of the world anymore. Amen. We don't act like the world. Is everybody okay? That's right. Amen. Add to your faith. These are things we need to add to our faith. We might not have them to begin with. I mean, we all got saved out of the world. Some of us were adults. Somebody say amen. But if we had to clean out our closet, amen, buddy, we'd probably be ashamed. But ain't you glad the day you got saved, God cleaned your closet. Somebody say amen. God forgot about every bit of that. God put it all out there in the sea of forgetfulness to never remember it anymore. Amen. So now he's saying now, now we've got a clean slate after we got saved. We can start adding some things to our faith. Amen goes right there. Amen. It's not the things I've done before I got saved. Amen, that I'm going to have to answer for. That's the things I've done or let slide, amen, since I've been saved. Now I'm telling you right now, that ought to scare some of y'all almost to death. To know you're going to have to answer for things that you've allowed you to do, you've allowed in your life since you've been saved. Is everybody okay? But God can forgive you. God can. So he said, add to your faith virtue. Add to virtue. And you know what's amazing? He mentions these words twice, every one of them, just about. He said, add to your faith virtue and the virtue of knowledge. We know what that is. We need to learn more about the Word of God. How do we learn about the Word of God? We get in it. We need to learn more about our Lord and our Savior. How do we learn about Him? Amen. We get in it and we talk to Him through prayer. Is everybody okay? We seek His will in our life. He will speak to us. Amen. It's one thing. Hey, listen to me. It's one thing, child of God. When you're getting alone with God, and you're sharing your heart with Him, and you're talking to Him, oh, and you're breaking down, and you're, I mean, you're telling Him some of your most sincere and intimate thoughts, but it's something totally different when you're alone with God, and you're at a place in your Christian walk where God starts sharing His heart with you. where Jesus Christ comes by. Amen. In your time of prayer. In your time of loneliness. In your time of solitude. Amen. And He starts bringing His heart before you. And sharing His thoughts of you. And what He wants to do with you in your life. And how He wants to bless you. And starts sharing His heart with you. Things you would be afraid to even utter. Are you hearing me? Oh yeah. Amen. Knowledge. That's when you really start to learn some things about the Lord. Y'all getting quiet on me now? Knowledge. He said, add to your faith virtue, and the virtue of knowledge, and to knowledge, temperance. Temperance. Know what that means? Self-control. The virtue of one who masters his desires and passions. Amen. Especially his sensual appetites. Amen. Self-control, temperance. Amen. Not to be confused with patience, and we'll get into that in just a minute. Amen. Temperance. Keeping that temper, that tongue under control. Is everybody alright? These are things These are things God says, I want you to add to your faith. And we're gonna get down to it in a minute. You're gonna find out if we'll put these things to work in our life, Brother Darrell. Amen. We'll never fall. You'll never fall. I didn't say you would never stumble. I didn't say you would never sin, but you'll never fall. amen and when you do sin you'll get it right quickly so he says and I want to get I'm gonna get this I got to hurry he said into temperance patience patience steadfastness you know what steadfastness means to stand firm steadfast to persevere to persist to persist to keep one's standing. Patience. Patience. Patience will help you keep your standing. Amen? It'll help you keep your good name. Patience. Y'all got real quiet on this one. He said, add to your faith patience. Patience is not only steadfastness, it's constancy. It's endurance. Oh, it gets rough. I'm so tired as soon as a little storm comes by or a little trial comes by, people get upset and run to the house. They're missing that endurance. They're missing patience. Not only is it endurance, it's in the New Testament, it's the characteristics of a man who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith. by even the greatest trials and sufferings. No matter what comes your way. When you've got patience, He said you'll stand the test of time. You'll stay faithful. You'll stand to your faith. You'll stand to your Word. You'll stand to the Word of God. You'll stand with the church. Is everybody alright? You'll be found faithful. Even through the strongest trials and the toughest of situations in your life. patiently and steadfastly, a patient, steadfast waiting for, a patient enduring, sustaining, perseverance, cheerful and hopeful endurance to endure patiently and continuing to wait. Noah Webster's, I looked that up in Noah's Webster's. I like what it said about patience. The suffering of afflictions, pain, toil, calamity, provocation, or other evil. The suffering of afflictions, listen to this, this is what you do, this is what patience will allow you to do. The suffering of afflictions, pain, toil, calamity, provocation, or other evil with a calm, listen to this, Calm. With a calm. How many of us can go through that provocation? Somebody provoking you. Calmly. We can take it with a calm attitude. Calm, unruffled temper. Hello. We ain't dismissing men. We ain't praying. Get your heads up. Does everybody all rise with what Brother Tony say? It ain't dismissal time. Amen? Boy, you just let somebody provoke me. Man, I'm not going to be unruffled. You're going to get your feathers ruffled. That's what he's talking about. You let your temper fly off the handle. Let your temper fly. You're missing your patience. You're bound for a fall if you ain't careful. That temper, your patience, your patience will calm your temper, sir. You want to know why you got a bad temper? It's because you ain't got no patience. Amen goes right there. Things don't go just exactly right, you get all upset and get in a tizzy. Everybody okay? Everybody all right? Oh, you get your feathers ruffled. Is everybody all right? Oh yeah. Hit your finger or your knuckle. What are you saying? I can't repeat what you said. That's what I'm doing. Is everybody all right? Patience. He said add it to your faith. I'm not here to tell you don't have faith. But I'm telling you, we're lacking some things in our Christian walk that will help our faith increase, that will guarantee we never fall. We lack patience and the preacher preaches too hard and we get mad at the preacher. And then we want to have preacher stew for lunch. Everybody okay? Want to have Preacher Stouffer there? You be careful about that, amen? Your children will hear it and they will have confidence in the Preacher. Your family will hear it, amen? And they will never get no help from the Preacher. Is everybody okay? You be careful about that. Patience. You're lacking patience. Endurance. Patience is endurance without murmuring or fretfulness. Murmuring. That's just a good old Bible word, murmuring. You murmur. They murmured against the man of God. They murmured. That's what it says over in Old Testament, Wayne. When they murmured against Moses. They murmured. Be careful murmuring. Why? Because, buddy, they draw the wrath of God on them when they started murmuring. Is everybody okay? I'm just saying things and everything. You're murmuring. You're a murmurer. That's right. Amen. Big John, you know what they call somebody that murmurs? A murmurer. That's right. Amen. They murmured against Moses, Brody. And God said, that's it. I'm going to kill them all. And had Moses not laid down and prayed for him, him and Aaron, God would have killed him. For what? Murmuring. Murmuring. Because they didn't have patience to wait on what God's blessings was on the other side over there in the promised land. Are you hearing me? And they begin to murmur. Oh, I know this wouldn't be popular tonight. And I ain't even through reading the definition out of 1828. murmuring or fretfulness. Patience may spring, listen to this, from constitutional fortitude, from a kind of heroic pride, or listen to this one, or from Christian submission to the divine will. A calm temper which bears evil without murmuring or discontent. A calm temper. I just want to ask, God's saying, do it, I'm gonna do it. Without the show of hands, you can raise your hand in your heart, because trust me, how many men in here would be guilty tonight of not having a calm temper? I heard that, Lisa. How many ladies in here tonight? No raising of hands, ladies. How many ladies in here would be guilty of not having a calm temper and therefore not having a tamed tongue? Hello. He said, add to your faith patience. Amen. Sadness, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue, knowledge, and to knowledge, temperance, and to temperance, patience, and to patience, godliness. Amen. Godliness. You want to know how to be godly? Get in the Word of God. Separate yourself from sin. Separate yourself from evil and wickedness. Separate yourself from uncleanness. Everybody okay? There's so much about godliness. We'd be here for 39 years if I tried to explain godliness to you. But if we'll get in the Word of God, we'll get that knowledge of living a godly life. Amen? Here's how you can find out if you've got godliness. When you're doing whatever you're doing, whatever it is, whenever it is, any time of day, just ask yourself, Are you pleased with this right now? Are you pleased with my temperament? Are you pleased with the way I'm acting? Are you pleased with what I'm saying? Are you pleased with what I'm doing? That's how you can find out if you're getting godliness or not. If you're in godliness. And he said that we need to add godliness to us. And to godliness, brotherly kindness. Be ye kind one to another. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Is everybody okay? Brotherly kindness goes a long way. That's right up there with brotherly forgiveness. And when you've wronged somebody, and when you've wronged somebody, is everybody alright? It's your job to make it right. It's your job to say, I'm sorry. It's your job to say, hey, I didn't mean that. Hey, I didn't mean to act that way. Hey, I didn't mean to do that. Is everybody okay? Brotherly kindness! Brotherly kindness! Is everybody alright? As much as life within us, do good unto all men. But what? But what? But what? But what? But what? Especially those who are of the household of faith! Those that we come to church with! Those that we worship with! Hello! Huh? Yes, I declare unto you that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, then do we have fellowship, what? What? One with another. I can't get along with them. Probably because you're stumbling around in darkness. Is everybody okay? I just can't stand them, probably because you're walking around in darkness. I'm not gonna let nobody come between me and my relationship with God. That don't mean I got to be their best buddy. That don't mean I got to go down and break bread with them. Is everybody all right? Amen, but I'm gonna forgive them, not for them, for me. They didn't ask. Well, I can't help you there. Is everybody all right? All right. He said, add this to your faith. Now listen, our greatest goal ought to finish a Christian life. Ought to be to finish what we started the day we got saved. Ought to be to never bring shame to him. Ought to be to do everything we can not to bring a reproach against the church and on the Lord Jesus Christ. Is everybody alright? So he said, add to your faith. Godliness, brotherly kindness, and the brotherly kindness charity. And we know what charity is. It's love. And it's brotherly love in this context. Brotherly love. Brotherly love. Love of the brethren. Amen? And it's affection. It's goodwill. Goodwill towards one another. We ought to be wanting each other to succeed. We ought to have goodwill towards one another. Not wanting them to fail. Now listen to what he said. I'm almost finished. Brotherly kindness to charity. Verse number 8, for if these things be in you and abound, and abound. Oh, we can quote them, we can learn them, we can practice them one day, but that's not what he said. They've got to abound. They've got to stay with you. They've got to be a way of life. Verse 8, For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall never, listen to this, be barren or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore, therefore, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure. For if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. Where? Never. He didn't say anything. He said if you got these things and you do them, you shall never fall. I do them for me. I live the way I live for me, crumbly. Because I don't want to fall. I don't want to bring God into a shame on Him or a reproach on Him. He said you shall never fall. Amen. I want to read a few more verses over here in Philippians and I'm going to be done. Let me read these to you. Philippians chapter number four. Verse number one. Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for my joy and crown. So stand fast in the Lord. You hear me, child of God? You stand fast. Amen. You stand fast. You be unmovable. Amen. You abound. My dearly beloved, he said, I beseech Judas and I beseech Tzitzitzi that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I entreat thee also, true yoke fellow, help these women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also and with other my fellow laborers whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, listen to this, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. And here it is. This is going to help you. This verse right here is going to help you. Amen. To fulfill over here in 2 Peter chapter 1. Amen. To add this to your faith. This is going to help you. This is going to help you. Amen. Stay in the will of God in your life. This is going to help you. Amen. To live. 2 Peter chapter 1. This is going to help you with that. Verse 8, finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, y'all got that? I don't need to go over all this do I? I just want to read it to you. Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, Whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Amen? What do you say over in Romans about renewing your mind? How you gonna renew your mind? What'd he say over there in Psalms chapter one? Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight, verse two, but his delight is in the law of the Lord. And in his law does he meditate both day and night. We gotta change what we're thinking about. Amen? If you're looking for something to blow up about, you're going to find it. If you're looking for something to get sideways about, you're going to get sideways. If you're looking for something to get mad about, you're going to get mad. If you're looking for something to get depressed about, you're going to get depressed. If you're looking for something to get discouraged about, you're going to find something to make you discouraged. If you're looking for a reason, amen, to walk out the doors of a church and never go back and walk away from God and get back out, you will find one. But if you'll change, amen, what you're looking for, If you're looking for a closer walk with God, if you're going to want to have these things added to your faith, then you need to be thinking on those things that are true, and just, and lovely, and pure, that mean a good report. Those things, verse 9, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do. Can you say that? Can you tell your children that? And they'll be right with God. Can you look your children in the eyes? Mamas, daddies, can you look them in the eyes and say this right here, those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do. And listen, and the God of peace shall be with you. Can they do what you do and God be pleased with them? That's what He's saying. If you'll do what I do, you can walk with God and He'll be pleased with you. And He'll be with you and He'll walk with you and He'll bless you. Amen. Doesn't mean you're going to do everything perfect. Amen. But if they're looking at what you're doing, let me ask you a question. Where's it going to lead them? Is it going to lead them to the cross? Or is it going to lead them out into the world? Huh? Amen? Add to your faith. You won't fall. What are you thinking about? What's going through your mind? Huh? That's what God give me. Amen. Somebody make your way to piano tonight. That's what he give me. So tonight, the Holy Ghost has spoke to your heart about anything. Would you come? Amen. Would you come do business with God? Is there anything, is there anything, is there anything that maybe you need to say, God, help me add this to my faith? God, I've been struggling with this right here. Would you help me add this so that I will never fall? Maybe there's something that's lacking in your life. that you just need to add to your faith. I'm not saying you're living wicked. I'm not saying you're out in the world, you're on your way out the door, anything like that. What I am saying is there might be something, there might be something that we're lacking in, we're lagging behind in. And if there is, as you come to do business with God, maybe it's the things that's running through your mind that you're struggling with. Maybe you need to change some of your thoughts. Huh? Amen. While she plays, if the Lord spoke to you, would you come?
