If I praise God for what we have in Lord Jesus Christ that he loved us so much, they gave us His gift of everlasting life through his death on the cross. And now we have access to God, the Father, through the son, that we can boldly approach that throne. Praise God for that is good to sing about that this morning. We'll just bless the little ones. To go to crash with Mrs. Shaw. And please turn back in your Bible to Mark Chapter four. And versus 23 through 25. You know, every now and then as you read the news, you actually find a good news story, you know, something that's not negative or something that can actually be positive, kind of uplifting. There was a news story like that this past week and it was interesting. It was about Margaret Thatcher's secret Bram's phone and how it was invented. So it says there that 40 years ago one man was given a secret mission to build an encryption device to send intelligence to top officials. You know, nowadays apps have encryption, but back then it wasn't the technology wasn't there. So they had to have some secrecy as they communicated. And so he breaks this man breaks silence over the assignment. For the first time with this news story, the mission began in a Cheltenham Department store busy with shoppers. It was 1980 and Mike, first name only as his identity is still hidden, worked at nearby GC HQ Government Communications Headquarters. All right. He purchased two normal briefcases. They were taken back to his lab where he began tearing out the inside and stuffing them with the latest technology. What emerged was given the code Brahms inside the regularly looking, regular looking briefcase was the UK's first portable encrypted communication system designed to allow high ranking officials to communicate securely. The Brahms machine includes what looks like a normal telephone handset, but with a button on one end, you know, it's kinda like the spy movie type thing, you know, you got the case that opens, you got the phone inside and but it had a button on the phone. You press it and speech was converted into digital ones and zeros. A special a special encryption key held on paper tape in the briefcase and changed every day, scrambled these digits. This was then sent down a normal telephone line. Only another briefcase with the same key on its paper tape could unscramble the message and convert the digits into a machine like voice. At the other end, anyone intercepting the phone line would just hear a digital hiss. And it's quite interesting to read a little bit of history and find out how far we've come since then. Nowadays you've got teenagers. They have better encryption maybe than that, but that's what they had back then. For the government to securely communicate with somebody on the other end without any interference and get that direct connection to them. You know, God has given us a message just for our praise God. We got the message right here, and he's given everything that's needed to unscramble that message and get it straight into our hearts. It's a message that is not scrambled by God. It's not hidden by God. Bible Will says in Proverbs 30, verse five, Every word of God is pure. All right, so the source is absolutely pure. What's coming out? There's there's no contamination in it. There's nothing in it that it's scrambled at all. It's direct and it's pure. And the Bible says and look for for Jesus answer, I'm saying it's written that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. So the truth is this morning that God's not only given us His pure word, but he's given us every word that we need. All right, it's all there. And so it's not scrambled by God, but sadly, it's a message that scrambled by men sin. Our sin mixes it up. One Corinthians 118 It says, for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. So a lot of people can't get that message God desires to give them. They look at it and they just hear maybe like the Brahms that hissing, because they don't have the encryption device necessary to to get that communication into their heart. And so they they can't hear it because of their sin against God. And so the message doesn't need to be converted. We don't we don't need to take and change this book at all. But the man that receives it, he needs to be converted so that he can hear what God desires to communicate with him, Acts 318 says. But those things which God before hath showed by the mouth of all His prophets that Christ should suffer His soul fulfilled, repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. So can conversion is turning to God in a point in time in our life that we recognize our sin is against God. We have offended a Holy God. The judgment for our sin is hell. Conversion is that point of repentance and turning in faith, putting our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We also call that being saved. We talk about that as being born again. These are all biblical terms about the same instance of conversion, where we put our trust in Jesus Christ. Once you're converted, then you can hear God clearly. I've already spoken about the say hi app and what a blessing it's been to be able to communicate in another language by having something that translates for you. The Spirit of God is the person that translates this book to the heart of man. It's oh, it's almost like it's in a different language, even though it's written in maybe that language that we can read, that we can understand. The Spirit of God is the one that opens up the man's heart and mind so that when He looks at the Word of God, it makes sense and it goes and he understands it. And so praise God for the Spirit of God. One Corinthians Chapter two, verse 12 Speaking about that person, that that communicates that truth to us through the Word of God, it says Now we have received it into our body when we got saved, the spirit of God, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. So God gave us the Holy Spirit when we got saved, when we are converted, we were born again so that I the son, we can understand the things that God is speaking about in His Word, which things. Also, we speak not in the words which men's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches the Spirit of God comparing spiritual things with spiritual. There is there's physical and spiritual. Spiritual is different than natural. The Bible is not just about intellectual ism. It's not just about understanding intellectually about God. It's about knowing God in a personal way through the person, the Holy Spirit in us. That helps us to understand everything that God has for us. But the natural man receive it, not the things of the Spirit of God for their foolishness unto Him. Neither can He know them because they are spiritually discerned. And even though God is on the other line, this man would pick up the the end of the line and all he hears maybe is that hissing sound. It doesn't make a lot of sense. You can't figure out what the message is because he doesn't have the encryption code of the Holy Spirit to be able to convert that to something that he can understand, he can get in his heart. And so if you don't have a connection yet, my message is you need a secure connection with God, okay? You need to get saved, need to be born again, need accept Jesus Christ your savior. Why? Because then you can get it. Then you're going to understand it. Now you ought to know if that's you or not. If you have received the Spirit of God that you ought to be aware of that if you've trusted Christ as your Savior. Because the Bible says Romans eight nine. But you're not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. If so, be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. You're not. You're no longer in the flesh. The carnal man, the or the the fleshly man, the natural bad that doesn't have life through Christ. If you've got the Holy Spirit. If so, be that the Spirit of God was in you. Now, if any man have not the Spirit of God, He is none of His. If somebody was here today and they don't have that person, the Holy Spirit, inside of them. Then they don't have what they need and they don't have that relationship established with God. So the first thing is we need to secure that connection. We need to make sure that we're connected. And so my message is you need a secure connection with God. If you have a secure connection by grace, your faith in Jesus, you've trusted him. My message is the same. You need a secure connection with God. Not that you can lose that connection, but that there could be a lot of interference on the line. There could be a lot of disconnect with God, even though you've got everything that you need to connect with God. Yet we could become distanced from God and not use the tools and things that God's given to us to understand God. If we don't do that, so we need that secure connection. Are you keeping that open with God? Is the connection between you? God is is it good so that you're getting what God desires you to get? And that's really what I want to look at this morning. So let's go to law in prayer. Ask the spirit of God to help us as we come to the Word of God this morning. Father, we thank you for the grace that you give. Thank you for the opportunity to look into the truth of the Word of God. And just a very few verses that speak about this connection that you desire to have with men and father. I pray in all hearts just now. I pray, first of all, that if somebody does not have the spirit of God, that they would know that, that they don't have the encryption encryption device necessary to understand what God has to say to them. And did that they'd see that the greatest need first is to be born again. They need to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior by faith in the finished work of His death on the cross for them and the truth of His Resurrection, and walking out of that tomb, turning from their sins, the Savior, putting their faith in in Jesus Christ and Christ alone, the Father. Those of us that are saved, we can get disconnected and not be as connected. Now, Father will never fully lose that line to heaven. But the fact is, there could be a lot of interference online. And so I pray may the Spirit of God speak to all hearts about this need. You got to have a secure connection with Heaven and with God. Then I pray for the children in their class. Lord desires for them the same. I pray that there would be a marked sense of the presence of God in that class this morning, that there would be an attention to the hearts, even at the very young children, to be able to sit and to listen and to learn and to take away Bible truth. And Father, that is a class that's taking place. It's not just a crash. And so I pray spirit of God use that. Bless Mrs. Shaw as she teaches in that time. Now, Father, I can't speak without your enablement. I pray that you'd help me to preach biblically. Help me to preach practically. Help me to preach lovingly and powerfully the truth of the Word of God and Father. Do ask according to the truth that we're going to consider that today. You'd give us ears to hear that we could hear it's in Christ and we pray. Amen. All right. So you need a secure connection with God. And so the first thing this morning is you need to connect to the device or you need to get connected to the device. A lot of times, if you're like me, the technology problems that you face and you get frustrated with, it's not really a problem with the technology. It's the problem with the person that's using the technology. Okay. So sometimes, you know, you might have a problem taking place and and somebody comes in, they ask that very obvious question, but maybe not one you considered. Is that is it connected? Right. Is it plugged in? You're frustrated. It's not working. You've got a perfectly good device, but it's not working. You know, it might be your speakers, it might be your monitor, it might be another external DVD player or something like that they've got. But until you hook it up, though, everything is there in that device to do exactly what it's designed to do. Until it's connected, it's not working at all. It's certainly not working properly. And so God has given to us this morning, God has given us connectivity to him. He's given us that which is necessary for us to take to get everything that we need to get about his message and his truth. And so but we need to plug that into that device. And so verse 23 says, If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. If any man have ears to hear, let him here. And I don't know about you, but I you know, you think about that and maybe a young person's reading that and and maybe think, mom, dad, didn't they have ears back then? You know, if any man have ears to hear, let him hear. You know, and that's not it at all. Of course, they had ears that that they had on, but they needed to get those connected and they needed to be listening. Kaylee is working at the Bill Rice ranch this summer, and one of the great ministries of that camp is that they minister to deaf children. In fact, they sponsor deaf children to be able to come to camp for free. And it doesn't matter if they from a church background or not, so that they can come and they can sit under the preaching of the word of God. Now, if those deaf children were out there where Jesus was preaching, very likely Jesus Christ would reach down, touch their ears, and he'd seal their ears and that they could hear. But we know this. Even at that Bill Rice ranch, those deaf children can understand. They have they have connectivity to information. It's not through audible hearing, but it's through hearing with their eyes as they look at the hands of the person that's doing the signing, that's communicating that information to them. And that's really that's really what Jesus is saying. It's not just about years. It's about connectivity. It's about using what God has given to us to understand who got is and making sure that that device is turned on. So I want to I want to speak about the devices that God's given to us that we need to make sure are engaged with God. And so, first of all, you've got video ports which can receive revelation from God. You've got video ports that that that, that visual ability to be able to receive revelation from God. And so our eyes hear natural revelation. Our eyes hear natural revelation. It's very similar to what I said about the deaf children. It's that our eyes have the ability to perceive, almost as it were, audible communication to us through our eye ports that God's given to us. Psalm 19, verse one. It says, Psalm of David, the heavens declare the glory of God. Now the heavens are the thus the stars, the sky, the clouds, everything that's up there, the heavens declare a declaration. A declaration is speech. And so that's that's verbal or that's that's something that is is communicated. Right. They haven't declared the glory of God. The firmament show with his handiwork day and today utter speech night and tonight short knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. It doesn't matter what somebody's ethnicity is, it doesn't matter where they're located on this planet. They could be in a tribal area that we looked at this morning, Papua New Guinea. They could be in Australia. We can hamlets from that that we looked at again this morning or where many of our people are from and our church, they could be from any ethnicity. It doesn't matter. As a as a look up at the sky, as they look up at God's creation, it speaks about the glory of God. We said this past week on the Pentland Hills flier stone in up above that, looking down at the reservoir, looking across at the bore foot's looking out at the Moor area, looking up towards Edinburgh and Arthur seeing that area. We've been up there at night and we've seen the stars in the end and the beauty of the the the sky at night. And even up north when we were up north, we saw the aurora borealis or the northern lights. And in that dancing display that God puts up into his sky and and here in the last year, we've had horrible storms in Scotland. We've had fierce winds. And they have come in and trees have been knocked down. I think, if I read correctly, some 16 million trees in Scotland that were pushed down by the force of the power of this of this wind and all of that, all those things that we look at like that, they're all talking about God and saying there is a God, there is a designer, there is there is glory that God has put into his creation that speaks about him. Got a job in Job 28. 22, he says, has now entered into the treasures of the snow or has seen the treasures of the hill. I saw another news story where a guy had invented a camera that could take a picture of a snowflake and the difficulty of that harvesting the snowflake, keeping it cold, getting the equipment out, being able to get that picture. But the thing is, every snowflakes different. There's not a single snowflake that's the same. That's incredible diversity. That's into something very small. Mike Micro diversity that that just testifies to design. I mean, they're beautiful. If you look at the pictures that he did. Incredible. You know, and we don't even really enjoy that, except as he blows it up, magnifies it, and we can see this incredible crystal formation. And again, it's just speaking about God in this morning. Have you considered it? Is your idevice plugged in to see? Even as Ken have said, I like the way he says it through the biblical eye sight to look at God's creation. It's speaking very loudly that there is a God. Our eyes here natural revelation are I see written revelation, the word of God. They're the ones that look down and see this. And let's just speak about the Word of God. Matthew 17, verse five says While yet spake behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved son, and whom I am well pleased. Hear ye, him? God said, listen to the Son of God. Listen to what he has to say. And really, in saying that, he's saying, listen to the very word of God. Take heed to what my son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is saying. You know, the Bible is not just the book that's given to us by men. This is actually not just and very much not the word of men, but rather it would be better to say this is the very word of God. In Acts 116, as Peter was preaching at Pentecost, he begins to quote from the Old Testament, and he's going to quote David. He says, Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost Spake, I am sorry, which the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of David Spake concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. And Peter declared that as as David penned those words, it wasn't actually David, but it was God speaking through David. You might see David in there. You might see his his eye, his aware meant of natural revelation, and him looking at the glory of God's creation in the sheep and other things that David was speaking about. There were characteristics of David, yet the Spirit of God spake through him. You know, the truth is, today, any one of us could pick up multiple instruments to write with. We might have a fountain pen, might have a ballpoint pen, we might have a pencil or something like that. And you'd look at the writing, you draw something, you write something, you look at that and you might say, I see that you used a fountain pen. I see that used a pencil, I see that used a pen. But behind it all, especially if I was signing my name, there is the characteristic of my handwriting. My handwriting is like nobody else's handwriting, and it identifies me as who I am, though I use those different instruments. And that's the way it is with God as God penned his words through different human instruments. Yes, you can see the the human instrument. You might see the fiery zeal of Peter or the pursuit of evangelism of the Apostle Paul in his writings. And yet it was the spirit of God writing through them. The very word of God to Timothy 316 says all Scripture, not some, not part, not, you know, this section of Scripture, but all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, in righteousness, everything that we've got today in the Word of God. That's why we can ask, as we look at the Word of God, we could take very few verses and very few parts of those verses, and we can scrutinize them because all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, it's given to us by God through man to Peter. 121 four The prophecy came not in the old time by the will of men. In other words, you know, Jeremiah Wright, Isaiah or Hosea or Habakkuk didn't sit in their tent and think, you know, what should I write about today? You know, what is what am I going to do according to my will? What you know, Jeremiah in his message to Israel in the time of the siege and what he desired to say that didn't enter into it. It's what God desired to say through the man came not an old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. And so, in other words, what we have today is the very word of God is the Scripture. I just ask us today, God's given us eyes. Every single one of us has the ability to pick up the Scriptures and to engage our eyes, to listen to the Word of God. Are you listening? Are you plugged in? Act 17, verse 11 says These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, and that they received the word with all readiness of mind and search the scriptures daily. Whether those things were so they they they they had the mindset this. Okay, I'm going to listen to the preacher say it then I'm going to go back it up with what the Word of God says. And see if it's just like he said. I had an opportunity to further engage somebody in a conversation that we've been having over several weeks. And yesterday, as I spoke with them, I went to one Timothy chapter three. It, says Bishop. If a man desired the office of a bishop, he desired the good work. And I said to him, I said, What's the gender of the man? Or that I didn't say the man of the person in the pulpit. He said. What seems to say? A man. I said, Well, let's read on. And he goes on him, his him, his him, his, you know, it's very specifically a man. You look at what chapter four is he to be buried? Yes. And forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain for mates. That's a false teaching. The Catholic Church has done that for the last thousand years. I was sharing it with this man because he has a little bit of Catholicism in his background. And I was just saying to him this What matters is what does God say? You know, praise God today our eyes can be engaged in that. As biblical independent Baptists, this ought to be us getting the word of God. What does that say about that? What does God say about dress? What does God say about music? What does God say about associations? What does God say about church attendance? What does God say about faithfulness to God and evangelism? Or what does God say? You know, praise God. We could do that with our eyes. He's given us what we need. So you have you have I ports that can hear natural revelation, written revelation. Then you have audio ports to take in the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. You know, some people are plugged into preaching and teaching and some are not. Some are disconnected from that. One one Corinthians 118 says for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. A lot of people today as if you're a friend of ours George class and he preaches out on the street. I saw a prayer letter yesterday and he's got a picture of him and he's preaching. Some people engage with that. Some people don't. The preaching of the cross, they begin to hear about the crucifixion of Christ and his death for our sin, his blood that was shed, that he's the only way of salvation. There's a disconnect. They don't. They don't. They disconnect their ears from that. Bunch of us which are saved is the power of God. For it's written, I will destroy the wisdom the wise will bring to nothing. The understanding of the prudent. Where's the wise? Where's the scribe? Where's the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world, sir. A lot of people, they believe humanism. They believe their philosophy, they believe their ideology, whatever that may be, but it's against God. So they close their ears to what God is, is saying through the preaching of the Word of God. For after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew, not God. It, please God, by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. So if our audio ports engage, there's a chance that we could get it. Because we need to be listening to the preaching the word of God, because that's the way God said that he's saving people. It's through the preaching of the cross. For the Jews require a sign the Greeks seek after wisdom. Some people want again God to write in the heavens, you know there is a God, you know, and it is written. They have as we I talked about that, but their eyes are closed to that. They want something, you know, that's fantastic. They want a philosophy that makes sense. It would make more sense to have a king come back, set up his throne in Jerusalem and reign, rather than a king that comes in on a donkey and goes out on a cross to die on a hill and to be put in the grave and praise God, the end of the story is glorious, but a lot of people don't want the philosophy of that. It's foolishness to them. But we preach Christ crucified to the Jews, a stumbling block and unto the Greeks foolishness, but unto them which are called both Jews and Greeks Christ the power of God. There's the sign and the wisdom of God. There's the philosophy. So when somebody gets saved, they see the power. They hear the wisdom. But until they do. There's a disconnect. They're not hearing the preaching. The preaching of the cross is to them that parish foolishness. You know, if you reject what you hear from God's word, you wouldn't believe if you saw an incredible sign. If if you're not going to accept what God says in his word, it doesn't matter if God did the fantastic things they did. Now, notice this in the time of Christ, he did fantastic things. He raised people from the dead. He made the blind to see that lame, to lock the deaf, to hear he did all these things. Yet the Bible says that many people didn't stop following him. Many people didn't believe him, or some people just came because they wanted to see the fantastic, not because they really wanted to put their faith in God. There's a story of the rich man in hell. He cries out and says, Send back Lazarus, that poor man that's in heaven there. Send it back from the grave. Because if my brother see him come back from the dead. Then they'll believe in. Abraham looks at him and he says it because he said, if one went unto them from the dead, they'll repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, which is the Word of God, neither will they be persuaded. Though one rose from the dead. If we can't persuade somebody through the preaching of the Word of God and the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died on their cross for their sin, that He rose from the dead, if it's impossible to persuade him by that, they can not be saved. It stands for the foolishness of preaching to save them that belief. So what's the key? Get your airport open. Listen. Listen to the preaching the word of God. Let it go deep into your heart, because that is the way God communicates. God communicates through natural revelation, the Word of God. Our eyes take that in our ears. Take that in. The third device I want to speak about is the conscience ports that we have to hear from God himself, the conscience support that God has given to us. Romans two, verse 14 It says, For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law. Okay, so these are godless people. They're there maybe far away from Christianity or the truth of the word of God written revelation. But they're living in this place. But they naturally keep the law. These having not the law are a law unto themselves. We show the work of the law written in their hearts and their conscience, also bearing witness and their thoughts. The meanwhile, accusing or else excusing one another. And so they could be in some far off place. They don't have a Bible, they don't have the missionary. But for some reason, they know it's not right to take somebody's life. They know it for some reason, it's not right to take somebody else's wife. They know for some reason it's not right to tell an untruth to somebody. There is a conscience that they have that is there that's convicting them. No. God's given that to each of us. God's given us each a conscience that speaks and can speak very loudly to us about God's truth. I was at a Christian camp in the deserts of California. I was a young man, probably about Nelson's age, I would guess, and I was there at that camp, and I like rocks. If you come to my house, I've got a rock cabinet, okay? And it's got rocks in. And the boys and I have collected some things and, and there, there. And I liked rocks. I've always liked rocks. And there at the camp, they had some flint. Now Flint you can make. Arrowheads where. And so Flint is kind of a pretty shiny stone sometimes can be kind of clear, almost like an agate. And, you know, I like to find Flint. And I was there at this camp it Desert Oasis, and they had a lot of this collected on a table that they had. And I'm walking past the table and I saw the nice flinty rocks and I thought, Right, I'd like to have one of those this only time I remember my life stealing. And so I take the rock. And I've got the rock now. I feel incredibly guilty. I mean, I can still remember this. I'm walking. I've taken about two steps. I am incredibly convicted. There's a hollow tree right there. And I just went like this and I dropped it into that tree. Now it's probably if that tree still there, sadly, that rocks probably still there because I didn't tell anybody about there. And it's not funny that I stole, but it is it is interesting that, you know, I thought it was fine. I thought it was okay. I thought I'll just do that. And humanism says if it's okay with you, it's okay. So just go ahead and do that. But why when somebody kills their baby, is there this great voice inside of them as if they. As if they smothered out a life, convicting them. The doctor said it was okay. The government says it's okay, but in their heart there is a conscience that God has given. Listen, the spirit of God is good with that conscience to come and to speak to us about our need again. The Spirit of God with our conscience is even better. John six over seven Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It's expedient for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will send him unto you. When he is come, he will reprove the world of sin. And of righteousness and of judgment. The Spirit of God. When Jesus Christ went into glory, the spirit of God came and the Spirit of God came in power with convicting power so that those men that crucified Christ cried out and said, Men and brethren, what must we do? Repent and be converted, right? The Spirit of God speaking now, those of us there saved at some point, the spirit of God internally began. That work that we've got plugged into and we're hearing from God and God is saying, You're in sin. And it's not okay. And the punishment for sin is hell in my son. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sin. And that communication comes. Listen, don't silence that. Some of us responded to that. I responded to that as a young man at a Christian camp, again, as the spirit of God spoke to my heart and said, I want you to preach. And I'm sitting there thinking, the last thing I want to do is preach. And really, it was more about this. I want you to surrender to whatever I want you to do. And I went out and I with tears. I said to God, God, I surrender to preach. If I surrender my life, even if that means is the way it went. Even if that means speaking in front of people. And true that God eventually let me into what I'm doing today. But it's because the Spirit of God spoke. And by God's grace, I listen. Listen. Are you listening to God? Is the spirit of God speaking to you. Do you have that connectivity, that port open and what God desires to say? And so you've got to get plugged in. You have connectivity, but you must desire connectivity. We all have. We all have these things. Eyes, ears and conscience. But there has to be a desire this morning that, you know, I desire to hear from God. I want to hear from God. I want to take in his truth. Matthew 13, verse 15. Says For this, people's heart is wax gross and their ears are dull of hearing in their eyes. They have closed less at any time. They should see with their eyes and hear with your ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted. And I should heal them. It's like they disconnect on purpose. I don't want to see that. Can Hamm was speaking about it a little bit as he spoke about the worldwide flood and the evidence of the worldwide flood. And scientists don't want to see that because if they see that, they have to acknowledge that there's a god. And so they close their eyes to it. Men don't want to hear the truth that there is a savior that died for them and that their sin is an offense to a holy God and that yes, they can do whatever they want to do. But in doing that, they are sinning against God and violating God's word. So they they close their ears. I want to hear them. Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. So they shut up, shut out the light. Shut out what they're seeing. Shut out what they're hearing through those ports that God has given to them. You guys reaching out? Do you want to hear from God today? It's a good thing to take the eyes, ears and conscience. Get that plugged in. I take on. Let's skip ahead in my notes here just for sake of time. You have connectivity. But I encourage us this morning to tune in to the right frequency. To tune in to the right frequency. It says in verse 24. And he said unto them, I take heed. What you hear? Our family would travel out west to Colorado and we had a big station wagon. My granddad was a pollster and he a pollster to bed to fit into the back of the seats would fold flat. And we put that bet in there. We drive through the night. Kids would be sleeping in the back. Back then you didn't have to wear seat belts and that sort of thing. And we have a rooftop carry. All the luggage would be up there. Dad had all the latest gadgets on this old car that we had and it was a big car. But he had an altimeter which which measured the the height above sea level. We drive over some mountain passes out there in Colorado and dad like to see what that said. He had a compass, you know, I guess dad like to know northeast, west, south what directions we're heading. As for traveling and then there was a a CB radio and that CB had a big antenna and no, it wasn't normal in the United States to have a CB, but my dad did because dad would like to get it on the radio. And if there was a traffic problem or an accident or something ahead, traffic was backed up. Dad would get on there and he said, Anybody got your ears on and the lorry drivers, they'd be out there, they'd be the ones that had the CB radio, they'd be the ones with the best information. If you get connected to them, you could hear what you needed to hear about the way ahead. And so as we as we think about this, this morning, we need to take heed what we hear. We want to get the right information. We've got the we've got the connectivity that God's given to us, the airports, I ports, the conscience, but I get that connected to the right source. And so the Bible says, here, take heed what you hear. Take heed what you hear. Tune into to Jesus. John ten 427 says, my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. Listen to their right source. Make sure that what you're getting is from the Lord Jesus Christ. We are up walking in the paint lines not that long ago, and as the lambs were being born and there was a little lamb that that was a little ways away from his mom. And I gave a little bleat at him. And as I as I did that, that little lamb's head came up. And, I mean, he came running and he's just I mean, it was cute to see I wish I had it on video. As he's running towards me, he gets closer. Closer. I finally about ten feet away, he throws on the brakes and he looks at me and he goes, You're not my momma, you know? And you know, he wasn't old enough yet to hear his mom's voice. But the Bible says my in John 1027, my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. This morning. Do you know the voice of Christ as the Spirit of God speaking? Do you know Him? So be careful who you listen to and how you listen to it. And then the last thing this morning is take time to listen at the receiver. Take time to listen at the receiver. You know, you get out of it what you put into it. The Bible says. With what measure you meet. It shall be measure to you. You know, the thing is, today, all of us have our airport. We've got our airport, we've got our conscience port. But what matters is what are we putting into that? We've got opportunity. All of us have opportunity. Come to church, state schools, anywhere. Sunday night, Wednesday night, all of us have opportunity to read our Bibles every day of the week. We've got opportunity to study the Word of God. But we get out what we put into it. It says With what measure you meet, it shall be measured to you again. And it says in unto you that here shall more be given as a sphere to God speaks to us as we take in what God's given to us. God's going to give us more sometimes with our kids, especially our youngest. A meal doesn't get fully eaten. And so my wife will say, Well, you're not going to get anything else until that's that's eaten. And so later that night, if he wants something else, he's got it. He has to eat that or he's not getting anything else. Now, we don't apply it strictly, but the Bible here is saying that if God's spirit is speaking to us and we don't take in what God gives us, then God's God isn't going to give us more. I'll tell you that here shall more be given. And so goes on to say in verse 25. For he that hath I take him shall be given. There's something called capillary action in soil. I don't know if that's familiar to you, but if a soil has moisture in it. As more and more as more moisture comes, it can take in more moisture. And so if that if there's a healthy soil that's well, water, it's going to be taking that in. And so the Bible says for he that hath to him shall be given as the spirit of God speaking to our hearts as we take that in. That's going to that's going to benefit us. But if we reject it, it says he. That hath not. From him chubby taken even that which he had. And so if the Spirit of God speaks to us and we put him off. Then we can miss out on what God really desires to give us. We could lose that. Somebody could be close to salvation. The Spirit Guide speaking to them about Jesus Christ and obeying the Gospel. But if they put that off, then that could be then withheld. You know, this morning. Are you connected to go back to the Brahms machine here as we conclude this morning. It was very much, they say, a men's toy. There was a special agent named Stephanie that was working and she thought about that. She said that she recalled, slightly annoyed as female workers were told not to use the bronze. But in the small hours of one morning, the bronze ring, there were no men on shift. So we all looked at each other and said, Well, there aren't any men in the office, so one of us is going to answer the phone. So I went over and I picked it up. The person on the other end had just received a piece of intelligence they wanted to confirm. We knew that every piece of information we were sending out to our chaps was significant, she says, recalling watching the importance of their work reflected back on the TV news. If somebody wanted to receive that message, they had to be there. Let me ask you this morning, are there. I have no doubt this morning that God desires to speak to us. We've all got iReports. We've got audio ports. We've got conscience ports. But are we sensitive this morning to what God's communicating? Some people, you know, as far as the word of God is given, they take it in. And somebody might. Look at it and take in salvation. But then God speaks about baptism. Then God speaks about church membership. Then God speaks about sanctified living. Then God speaks about service. And God speaks it out. Evangelism. Are we continuing to listen to God say, I want to be connected to God? I want to take that in so God gives me more. And so may God help us to do that. Get connected to God. He that ears to hear. Let him here. Let's pray. Father, I thank you for the word of God that we've been able to look at this morning. And Father, I praise you. Even as in our evangelism. Sometimes I speak with people and they say, you'll never convince me of that. And Father, I praise you. I can't convince anybody. But I also think that the Holy Spirit can convince anybody of the truth that the Word of God. And Father, I pray that you remind us that you've given us the audio ports, video ports, conscience ports that we need. And Father. I pray that they would be open. I pray that they would be clearly sensitive and. And. And connected. And father also. And. We need to get to the right source. And it spent a lot of time there just now. But Jesus Christ, the church pastors and teachers that you've given to us. And Father letting the word of God instruct us. And then father, according to how we respond. It's how you respond. He that hath he's given more. He. They have not. It's going to be taken away. Why? Because he closed his eyes. He closed his ears. He closed his heart. And Father, I pray right now in your mercy. Father pray that the Spirit of God would speak. The biggest the biggest need somebody has obeying the gospel, getting saved. They don't have what they need to understand the word of God. Without the person of the Holy Spirit. And fathers as believers as well. I pray that we stay connected. Lord, if we're not in church, we're disconnected. If we're not, our bibles were disconnected. If if we're not responding, when the spirit of God says, hey, get involved in evangelism, get involved in service, get involved in dealing with sin in your life. Get involved in doing that, which is right in the sight of God. Be a faithful man for Christ. And Father, if. If we're not getting that, we're not listening. And I pray to God, give us grace. We want a church full of people that have their ears open, their eyes open, or don't let his heart in our heart. I didn't share the example this morning of the disciples, but the disciples missed out on spiritual truth because they were so focused on the physical. And I just pray, Lord, use your word. Speak to hearts. It's in Christ's name. I pray. Amen. Amen. Let's stand, please. We'll sing a hymn of invitation here.
