I'm not guaranteeing anything. I'm not guaranteeing I'll finish even part of this message. I guarantee I won't pick up this subject again someday in Colossians 2.8. I just feel that maybe I need to move on. I had a number of verses I was going to read. There's warnings all through the Bible. Apostle Paul, in the book of Acts, warned the preachers that he told them he was ready to part, but he says, there'll be wolves that'll rise up in your midst. And he says, he warns them. right in the center of the church. There's going to be people that's going to just speak things that are not true, things that will be very effective in causing this departure from the truth. And certainly it has affected in our day. You see, If you've not been in or a Christian long, there's some things even now that I can bear witness to, the changes that's taken in churches, churches in our own county, churches you used to be able to fellowship with, churches that, you know, we join together and have a meeting Have a good time. Those days are gone. You're seeing a different, should I say, I don't want to say a different class or a type of people in churches. Most of the time, churches are becoming formal services. Having a form of godliness is what the Bible is talking about. Just go set, as soon as he says amen, run out the door. I really believe we miss the principle of coming to church. We come for a number of reasons. Of course, you come to worship. You come to grow spiritually. You also come to be involved in the other Christians' lives. It's not to be met ever meant to be something you're just in a hurry to get over with. Watching the clock ready to go. That's that's not the old fashioned church. They did stay around. Some met early. Some would just come early. Go someplace in the church. Men in one place, women in the other. Have good prayer meetings. You could go and you could go by the room where they was in and hear them in there weeping and praying and crying out to God. So I wonder what happened to the church service. Well, prayer meetings quit and a lot of other things that just affected. But this thing that I'm dealing with here has affected us in every facet of our lives. We're warned in Romans, be not conformed to the world. Now that wasn't just written there as if it would never happen, as if nobody would ever do that or it isn't no possibility of that happening. You can see it in the music in the churches nowadays. In most churches, their music is turned up to where the older people, they're having real problems with it. I mean, I've heard them, had them tell me, I just can't take that volume and, you know, how high it is, just the volume of the music. But it's different. We have seen a lot of changes taken in churches. And I'm not going to go any further with this, but I'm just saying to you. The reason is because we've been affected by the apostasy, things we thought somehow we picked up, things that changed our minds and our reasoning. And it's hard to see a lot of times. It's hard to deal with. I've got things here that, uh, I certainly won't get through them. But I think if you'd think a little bit and reason and just be honest with yourself, with your, what you've seen and what you know, you'd have to reason, realize a lot of things that I'm going to say tonight is taking place in the churches, um, all over. And so we need to be aware. God wants the preacher to warn the people, just like we're reading here in the Bible. It tells us, Beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, not after Christ. And so these things This word philosophy here, philosophy itself is not really a bad word, except this one doesn't mean what it generally means. This one stands for Jewish sophistry, and it means subtle, some fallacious reasoning. Wacky reasoning, if you want to have it. That's what it really is. It's just not sensible reasoning. It's false ideas, illogical, invalid, unreasonable, scatterbrain. That'd be a good name for the reasoning nowadays. The way, and I'm not saying you're doing it, I'm saying that it's a, some of these things have affected our minds and the churches. It has come because of the way people are reasoning and thinking they're They're right, the Bible tells you in the book of Proverbs, the way that seemeth right unto men. And so it's not true, but it seems right. Sounds right, sounds good, but it's not right. The end thereof is the ways of death, the Bible says. Seems right. And so, he also says it up there in verse four, I've been reading, in this I say, needless that a man should beguile you, the same thing with enticing words. Warning after warning, I've got more, many more of them in here that I could use tonight. But this is what I'm trying to deal with, is how these unreasonable, unstable, unsound philosophies of our day have infiltrated into the church, into the homes, into the minds of people, and really It's very deceitful. It's very subtle, very deceptive how it's come in. We like to think that we have control of it. But somehow, because we're in this world, if we're not careful, we'll become of the world. And so I'm trying to help us to see this beguiling way the devil has infiltrated into our very minds in these days. The Bible warns us to protect our mind, keep your mind stayed on him. The Bible warns you that you're going to have thoughts come to your mind that are against Christ. They're going to come into your mind, thoughts that are against Christ. And you are to control them, bring them into captivity and control them. And so we're to mourn about the delusion of this vain deceit the Bible talks about in verse eight. That's delusion, deceivableness. And so things that just would cause us to think wrong and reason wrong. I was dealing with some of this two Sundays ago, and I'd got down to the spirit of error in 1 John 4, 6. Look at it just a minute. I'd rather base things on what the Bible says than what I'm reasoning. 1 John 4. five and six, they're of the world, therefore speak the other world, and the world heareth them. Now let me just say here, Christians shouldn't be hearing them. Used to sing the song at Sunday school, careful little ears what you hear, careful little eyes what you see. And so, you listen to something long ago, All socialism operates under propaganda, empowers that socialism doctrine, that philosophy of foolish reasoning. And it's constant pounding in the minds of people till the people begin to believe it. Why socialism is so wonderful, why it's the best system in government, blah, blah, blah. And it's actually imprisonment of the mind is what it is. And so we're to be aware of what the world has to say. Say, preacher, prove it. Well, blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, or standeth in the way of sinners, or sitteth in the seat of the scornful. And so it's telling you there in Psalms 1 that you will do well. in your spiritual life if you don't have any part of that. I wish I could preach that like I heard David Gibbs preach that verse. Believe me, he could convince you that the last thing you want to do or need to do is listen to the counsel of the ungodly. And we tend to do that if we think they're smarter than us, wiser than us, If they've got a couple kind of D.D.s or M.D. or whatever it is, you know, after their name, M.D. Medical or Maniac or whatever it stands for, what I'm saying, we do. We gauge what we want to hear and listen, pay attention to, or what we want to receive in depth by the personality of a person. not the spiritualness of a person. Now, you can argue with me there, but I know different. If the doctor tells you you ought to do something, and you're thinking he's giving you real good advice, and he's giving you counsel, and you need to listen, you really should if you really have faith in your doctor. But you also should weigh it out, whether it really is what God's will is for your life, whether it is best for you. I had a doctor just in this past month just give me a fit. Argumentative, sassy, just, I mean you couldn't have been insulted more by a doctor than I was. Like I was ignorant and I didn't know nothing. Why are you talking to those people? Where are you going? Who told you to do that? Why are you doing that? That's the way he was talking to me. I was trying to tell him I've got an appointment at the hospital. Well, who will give you the appointment? Why did they give you the appointment? You don't need an appointment. I said, well, I'm supposed to usually talk to Joe over there. He sets me up for a colonoscopy. Who told you to get a colonoscopy? Why are you getting a colonoscopy? What are you doing? I thought, I'm leaving. That's what I'm doing. But I'm saying you gotta have some people that, I don't wanna get into that. I pray and there's a spirit of air in this world. Notice verse six, we're in 1 John I think. Verse six, we're of God, he that knoweth God heareth us. He that is not of God heareth not us. Now here's what he says, hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of air. There's a spirit of air that we should know. Tells you over in the beginning of that chapter that you're to try the spirits. Know the spirits of God because there's many false prophets going out into the world. And so you're to be able to discern spirits. How many say preacher? I try the spirits all the time when somebody speaks to me. No, we think we're intelligent enough to know when a person's talking to us that we're being able to discern if it's wrong or error or something. Oh my, oh my. You'll do better than Peter did then. You'll do better than a lot of men. You'll do a lot better than some of the wisest, most popular preachers that's ever been in this world. You're wiser than them. Because they got tripped up. I remember hearing some, I remember a preacher that preached in Falwell's. And I mean, I'm telling you, he would preach. You'd sit there and say, oh, praise God, that's good. And you'd be on the floor praying and crying when he got done. It wasn't a few years later, he was off in the world. You learn after years, and it's taken, and I'm still caught sometimes. But I don't know the time now, the last, 10-15 years that I've grown a little bit on trying the spirits. A man I had behind this pulpit about two years ago, I told the wife, I don't like that guy. I don't trust him. I don't believe he's right. I got a letter this week saying that man has had a lot to say about him and he needs to resign right now. I didn't know that, but Barbara said she felt the same thing. I said, try the spirits. We ought to be spiritual enough to know what is of God and what is not of God. We ought to be able to detect that in people. It's like I preached this morning. Saints of God has the spirit of God in them. And so the Bible tells you back there in 1 John, they know, they understand. They know who's of God, who received the person that's from God. And you can tell the difference in the spirit of truth and error. Spokes to me. But we don't always do what the Bible tells us to do. We make a lot of our own judgments. We, I guess we think we're right in our own eyes. I guess you could say that. I was dealing with some of this unreasonable, foolish jargon that they put out in about, I think it was a couple of weeks ago. And just to give you some of the ones that's way out, like transgenders, that's way out. I mean, that's way out. That's gone the limit of even whatever. this generation is, of people that seem to think they know what's best and they understand what's right and what's sensible and reasonable. And academic, they accept this. I'm telling you, every level of university and seminaries and colleges and schools accept this as sound reasoning, as something that's logical, something that's sensible, that A person doesn't know what they are. I mean, I can look in the mirror and tell me what I am. Ain't no woman got an ugly face like this. So I know what I am. But, you know, you see how far it's progressed to where it's affected every area of life almost? You go to a store, and if the guy wants to, he can go in your bathroom, the woman's bathroom. You better not say nothing. Don't scream, hey, get this guy. No, you better not. They'll throw you out to them. I'm saying, is that sensible reasoning? No, there's nothing sound about that, nothing logical about that reasoning. Did you know, and I remember spending Not over a year ago that I read there was, and I'm going to be conservative in this number, I'm going to say 40,000 doctors that disagreed with transgenderism. I don't know where they are now, but there were thousands and thousands that signed on and just, and they made the statements that it wasn't reasonable, wasn't sensible logic, and just that they, they voiced their opinion against it. But you see it our day. And they're even trying to get everybody else to accept this foolishness that they have. You've seen the trend. You see the trend come through this world of men or people themselves are lovers of their own selves. That's what it says in 2 Timothy 3, 2. Everybody wanted a selfie. I didn't think, I guess, does anybody in the church do selfies standing on a cliff ready to fall off and take a picture? Standing in front of a train, see if it'd jump off quick enough? Now, don't get mad at me. Don't get mad at me. I'm not convinced in my mind whatsoever that a woman ought to advertise what she's like, give any information out to this world what her things are she enjoys. That's no business of anybody but her husband. Take a picture. This is me. And I like to do this. I like to do this. I like to do this. And, you know, I'm this kind of person. Here's a picture of me. And a lot of times the pictures are whatever you want to say. That's hard for me to pronounce that word, narcissist. But you're seeing what the Bible says, that men and women are lovers of their own selves. You've seen that. Now don't tell me it didn't infect or influence or spill over into the church. You take that someplace else. I don't know. I'm not going to believe that. I know what did. I don't have Facebook, but I others do. And they'll say, Hey, look at this. They'll send me an email and say, look at this. What was on Facebook? I can't believe people say that. I can't believe a married woman would advertise a lot about herself. Why would she want any other man to know what she's like, what her likes are, and what she likes to do, and blah, blah, blah, and here I am, look at me. Hello. You've got to admit it. Okay, none of you did it, but you know everybody else does it. You know they do. You've seen the pictures of them. You've seen some of them. Man, do they look like that? How'd they fix themselves up that way? Hello. I would say these profiles are certainly not of God. There's demonic spirits, this influence in this world, and changed the whole course of this world when it come to nudity. You've read your Bible. I'm not going to have to read it all in time to reference it all. But you know how the Bible is against people showing. In fact, even the priest could make no steps The priests wore long garments. They couldn't show. They couldn't show even down into here, the priests, let alone the women. As fashions changed, then Brother, no, I just lost his name, my good friend, He told me he heard a guy up in Harrisonburg in that college tell two girls, it's a shame, you've got a beautiful body, you ought to be able to show it. Now, this was in the Mennonite College. And this is what a man told two girls that one was telling the other, well, mom won't let me wear this. That's a philosophy. That's a foolish, unreasonable philosophy that women ought to be able to go around parading their body and open in the public. Now don't look at me like nobody does that. You haven't been to Walmart lately. Talk, I mean you have to tell somebody else. You know Christians. that's professing Christians, that situation ethics allows them to change their apparel. When you get sand under your feet, you can get nude with your body. Boy, that went over good. That's called situation ethics. Whatever the situation calls for, if it calls beachwear, beachwear is enclosed from here to here. Am I telling the truth? Do you know professing Christians that go to the beaches? Where did that philosophy come from? that I've got a right of my body to show my body to any man that'll look at it, you know, and if he lusts after me, he's just a dirty old man. I'm not at fault for showing it, he's at fault for looking at it. Am I doing okay? Am I still making sense? You know, I'm trying to deal with this thing of how it's everywhere. It's everywhere. It's in churches. I've heard of two girls taking up an offering plate. The offering plate was short, short, short, short, son, in a church, taking up an offering. I'm trying to say that's the philosophy of this world that's infiltrated the church. Okay, we don't do it. So if we don't do it, now here's what we think. Somehow we don't do it, nobody does it. You can't reason that way. We're not everybody. I thank God we're not everybody. I thank God we've got some morals in our church. I praise God when I see the women dress right. I mean, I do. I bless God all the time when I see the women dressin' right. I say, thank God for it. It's a testimony of a person that professes godliness will wear modest apparel, the Bible says. If they profess godliness, they will wear modest apparel. It just goes together. And I thank God for the women in this church who just dress right, look right. I thank God for it, amen. I won't get into doctrines of devils in 1 John 4, 1. That's enough of that around. Let me give you Let me give you some of the philosophies, some more of them. This world, I think I said it a few weeks ago, I mentioned it. Back in the 40s, 50s, homosexuality was a crime in this country. Homosexuality was a crime in this country. The Bible makes it a crime if women, are sensual towards women, men towards men. God hates us so much he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. God hates homosexuality. I want you to know that. It's not something that's a light sin. God hates us so much that he had the tribes, the tribe of Dan was allowing Sodomites and God had the other tribes go against them and destroy them. Destroy them because they allowed sodomites in that particular tribe God told Israel to get rid of the sodomites stole to get rid of them and yet you have it In our day and I hope you're listening That you'd be surprised the people that think It's normal. They really believe, now here's the, you might say professional people, high academic, that teach that man is born a homosexual. And now you have a large majority of the people that believe that. I remember when that first come out. I was riding down the road, and I heard Rush Limbaugh. That's what I listened to for a while, till the Lord whipped me, and I quit listening to him. But he says, I guess you understand that they found out and agree, scientists that agree, and doctors, blah, blah, blah, whoever's involved, that people are born homosexual. Well, I guess if they're born sinners, then they could be a homosexual. It's hard for you to separate that. I don't care who you are. If they're born a drunk, if they're born a murderer, if they're born a rapist, if they're born a liar, if they're born a thief, why can't they be born a homosexual? See people don't think they let other people think for him or reason for but they never Try the spirits and they never try the Word of God I'll just try the Word of God and see what it says God never would put into a person that Lowdown wicked diseased mind of a homosexual and I'm telling you, God hates it. It's an abomination to Him. When girls love girls and boys love boys, it's an abomination to God. And I can tell you this, listen, be careful, very few, even from the smaller age, very few ever repent of it. You're hard-pressed. To find one that was once a committed sodomite, they used to call them, the right name they used to call them was queers. That means different, the word queer means different from normal. So that word means different from normal. You know what they called you if you wasn't one? You were straight. And they would call you that, you're straight. They're queer and you're straight. And they would admit that. They're in churches. They're pastoring churches. Pastoring churches. Loads of them now are pastoring churches. There's loads of them in independent Baptist churches. Now tell me that hasn't spoiled that church and spoiled the testimony of Christianity. Tell me. Now you tell me, how do they sell that philosophy to people that once, years back, said that's a wicked sin and the law's against it, God's against it, God destroyed that crowd. And yet you have people that are sympathetic towards them. You know what gets me is You say, I believe the Bible. Preacher, I believe the Bible, and I believe that I'm not deceived. I know that evil communications corrupt good manners, 1 Corinthians 15, 33. But now if they're kin or friends, you can't reject them. You let them come in your home. You let them influence your children. Do we believe anymore that evil communications corrupt good manners? Do we believe that anymore? Is it true is the Bible still true? Do you realize that a sodomite would influence your children or your husband or your wife? It's a philosophy of Wickedness that's been reasoned out by this world is something that is normal, natural behavior. In fact, they went to the extreme of getting married. Isn't that something? Two women kissing and getting married. How sickening can you get? How corrupt, how polluted in their minds. Two men kissing. Did you ever, do you read much and study some of the stuff that's going on? Do you know how they, I was gonna say dress, no. Do you know how they undress for a gay parade? Do you know many of them parade nude and they're never arrested? Totally stark, naked, nude, and they parade in the gay parades. Preacher, this is that spirit that you just need to love everybody. And love just, when two people love, I don't care what it is, it makes it right. Did you ever hear that? Did you hear them argue that? Is that one of their arguments? They love one another. So how can you say they're bad? The philosophy of there's no absolutes. This come in in the 60s, this philosophy, the hippies promoted it. They really believed it. They lived it. They believe you should not condemn anybody for how they want to live. I mean, if I want to trip out, that's me. You don't want to take a drug, that's you. And so there's no wrongs and there's no rights. It's just every man does that which is Right in his own eyes. That means there is no Lord. There is no God There's nobody to be concerned about you Just go on and live how you want to live and you it isn't nobody else's business. There's no right and there's no wrong It's crept in the church How many of us live the same way as everybody else in the church. Now, let me narrow that down. How many of us have the same, you might say, standards of separation that we've made ourselves? I don't do this. I don't do that. I don't go there. But I don't see nothing wrong with going here. And we do do this sometimes. And we do do that sometimes. But I don't see nothing wrong with it. It's not lead me deeper in sin. I'm not, I'm not going any farther. But I just, I just, I just, some of the things that I believe they're too strict about, you know, I don't believe you ought to be so strict that you don't even hardly can breathe. And that's kind of exaggerating it. We don't live the same. We don't have the same faith. We have our faith. You have your faith. We believe certain things that I don't see them in the Bible. I don't see where it says don't go to the movies in the Bible, as long as it's a good movie. Okay, once in a while, they slip a little swerve. Maybe some of them don't dress all they do, but the plot or the theme for the movie is good. I mean, it's good. So they have some of these things that I don't agree with totally, but I don't see any wrong in it. Where do you draw the line that it's all right to fellowship with the world? Where do you draw your line? The Bible tells us to have no fellowship with that crowd, none. I don't think Christians really believe that when they go out and play in the world and get involved in the worldly things, I don't really believe that they know what it means when James says, friendship with the world is enmity with God. You're actually fighting against God. You're warring against God. You're telling God, stay your distance. I'm going to do this. I don't like to do this. I like to go here. I know maybe it's not the best place for me, but I like to do this. I don't mind to hear people cussing God, taking God's name. That don't bother me. They don't bother me telling they're telling dirty jokes and swearing and filthy in their morals and ungodly. That ain't me. That's them. I don't do that. Well, what are you doing there? I'm talking about the philosophies of this world. You do your thing, I'll do my thing. We'll get along real good. I won't condemn you, don't you judge me. It's this non-judgmental kind of a philosophy that was brought in in the 60s and now it's made to where you can't... Is it popular to hear people say, judge not lest you be judged. Throw the Bible away. It says the spiritual man makes righteous judgment. He's got to discern. He's got to discern. When are we going to discern between good and evil? When are we going to grow up and mature so that we can judge that? Who's going to tell people that God is against that lifestyle, or that pleasure, or whatever we're doing? Who's gonna tell him? If we don't say nothing, and maybe even partially agree with it, how's the Holy Spirit gonna convict him? Do you think people are going to be convicted by the Holy Spirit if there's other Christians around them doing the same thing? I'm not going to finish this, but I'm going to say, the philosophy of death, you see, You believe in a heaven or hell. This world doesn't believe in a heaven or hell. They do believe in a fantasy land, but not a hell. They believe they're, well, maybe we got it off the Indians. They're going to the happy hunting ground. People really believe they're going to, you know, they're not going to hell. They believe there's maybe something better on. I had four men that were, in UVA University, had been in, some of them had been in there six, eight years, and I started dealing with this subject about death. And one of them looked at me, he says, look, preacher, we don't believe like you do. We don't believe, coming out straight, we don't believe the Bible like you do. I says, well, what do you believe? He says, well, we have different beliefs what the Beatles and all the rest of them brought in, that religion from India, Hindu, all the gods of Hindu or Buddha or all them. And they said, we don't believe like you do. We don't believe the end like that. You say, preacher, I believe that. Well, you're not everybody. And you do know of people. There was a girl that used to sing behind this This pulpit, I thought she was one of the best. You want to see her now, worshiping Buddha. Got pictures of her. It'll never affect us. Oh, I pray it don't. I pray it don't, but I know it does. The reason men, women live as they do is they really do not believe God has total control of their days, their hours, their minutes of their life. Do with it what you want. If you knew, if you knew, no, if you believed, If you believed, as Daniel told Belshazzar, King, God holds your next breath in his hand. Do we believe that? When we live carelessly, recklessly, worldly, we're saying, I just, I am not, I'm not afraid of you. Preacher, come on. There's no fear of God before their eyes, he says. They figure they've got full control of their life. They're careful. They're watchful. They know what they're doing. They got hold of it. I mean, God can't take their life out in a moment. Where did that come from? It didn't come from the Bible. What's the Bible say? You know not what a hour shall bring forth? Is that what it says? An hour, not a day, not a year, not a month. Where is this philosophy that's not sensible, it's not reasonable according to the Bible? There's a God in heaven that can wipe out the entire world if he wanted to with his spoken word. Did wipe it out one time. I guess he's lost his power. He can't do it no more. Ain't it awful? I'm not near dealing with what I want to deal with, the intents that I want to deal with it. But it's true. I think of marriage. I'm quitting. I'm over time. Did I hear a phone ring? I think of marriage that God ordained. that men and women marry and bear children. I better shut my mouth here. And it should be that that marriage is such a union that you can't break it. Would you agree with me that marriage nowadays is non-binding? Would you agree with me on that? You can break it. It's nothing fragile. It's nothing holy. It's not holy matrimony. It's just you made a bad choice. Get rid of them. Get another one. And if that one don't work, get another one. Get somebody else to take care of the kids if you have any. Let the government raise them. Don't get married because then the governor quit supporting you. Boy, I'm in trouble now, boy. You better pray for me. I'm telling you the truth. I'm telling you the way it is. You know, sometimes you just need to preach it straight. Marriage is supposed to be an eternal thing. You're locked together. Nowadays, they even change the vows nowadays just to let the other person know that it doesn't mean that I'm bound to you if I don't want to stick with you. I'm done with you. I can leave. It's not necessary, it's not binding, it's not authoritative. Ain't no man gonna tell me what to do. I had a woman tell me it was on her third husband or fourth. She says, I want you to know, I don't need a man. Maybe I should have told her, why don't you tell God that? Why don't you tell him he's wrong, that a woman doesn't need a head? Tell him. Well, I just dare you to raise your fist towards God and tell him, I don't agree with that. That ain't what I believe in my heart. That ain't right. This is the way I see it. All that stuff has happened. It's happened. Now, I read the other day again. The divorce rate in the church is as high or as equal as it is outside the church. I read it again, read it again the other day. Preacher, you ought not preach that. I know, but I'm just showing you a philosophy that this world has developed that the church has swallowed hook, line, and sinker, as they say. I have a lot more, but I won't. We're so hooked to entertainment. We're entertained, addicted. We can't live without entertainment. We're born entertained, and we'll die entertained. We don't know what to do with ourselves without entertainment. Well, preacher, I don't watch it. But then I get videos, and I get this, and I get this, and I get this, and I have me a laptop, and I have me this, and I can look at anything I want. But I don't look at television. I see everything on this today that's on television, but I don't look at television. And if I do look at television, I only look at good shows. I know what won't hurt me. You know what won't hurt you, Eve. It won't hurt you. Eve, you're not gonna die. Sin ain't gonna hurt you. Why? No. Do you believe, do you still believe, and I hope so, that evolution is one of the worst philosophies ever sold to mankind? Would you believe there's preachers that believe in it? Would you believe that Dobson, one of the most noted, professional, sought after psychologist, believes in evolution and creation. I think they call it creation, evolution. And James Dobson, one of the most noted, sought after, Man in his profession reaches around the world. He's so smart. He's so smart. His philosophy. Oh, he's so smart. And so he has to put evolution in the Bible. You've heard of the gap series. You all heard of the gap series mentioned how that it wasn't six 24-hour or seven 24-hour days. There was gaps in it of millions of years. So if you make gaps of millions of years, then you can fit evolution into it. Beware. lest they spoil you, just turn you aside to their reasoning, fill your head with nonsense. Cause you to, I don't know how to even deal with it in a way, but every one of us, and this is inbred in us, likes to be liked, likes to be accepted. We're not normal if we don't like people to accept us. It's one of the hardest things for you to control. One of the hardest things. Nobody wants to be an outcast like Jesus was. Hated and despised the men who wants that. I like people who like me, befriend me, help me. It's one of the most subtle traps the devil uses is what is normal. He uses it to make you an abnormal Christian because you want to be liked. So you'll break barriers. You'll bond with people you got no business with. You'll yoke up or befriend people that you got no business running with, fellowshipping with, just because they like you. I would say, to be continued, but I won't. I've got a lot more I can say. It's so bad. It's so bad. It's so dangerous. It's so dangerous. It's so subtle. You and I have no idea. We're no match for him. He's been at this thousands of years deceiving people. Did he deceive the wisest man that ever walked this earth? Save the Lord Jesus Christ, he didn't deceive him. Did he deceive Solomon? Now he's got an extra dose of wisdom, he does. What are you saying, preacher? I'm saying your wisdom is not going to protect you. You start straying from God and you're an easy prey. To believe a lie. God help us. God help us. Remember, pray for. Harry and Peggy's they travel going out tomorrow morning. Riding into the sunset. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Brother Dennis, this word of prayer. for the service tonight. Thank you, Lord, for the word that we've heard, and I pray, Lord, God, that you'd help us, help us, Lord, to receive it and put it into practice, Lord, what we need to do to not heed the philosophy of this world, not go by it, and I pray, Lord, God, that you give us wisdom, give us understanding about it, and help us, Lord, to spread and get closer to thee. I pray, Lord, that you'd bless the church, meet the needs. I pray that you'd touch Dan in the hospital. I pray that your hand be upon him. Strengthen him, Lord, meet the need in his life. I pray that you'd lift him up. And these others, Lord, that are sick, encourage and strengthen them. May your will be done in their lives. Watch over us, care for us, keep us safe. Lead, guide, and direct us, Lord, in paths of righteousness. For your name's sake and these things we ask in Jesus' name, amen. Amen, amen, amen.
