Well, it's a little bit after almost 2 o'clock here this afternoon on the 8th of May, Thursday afternoon. Mark's going to read for us 2 Corinthians 12. I'm expecting a call to come in, so I'm going to go ahead and have Mark read this, and then if I don't get caught up on the call, I'll make some comments about this. St. Corinthians chapter 12 is now expedient from any doubt with the glory that will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew in Christ above fourteen years ago With the body I cannot tell whether out of the body I cannot tell God knoweth such as one cop or third of him. And if such a man in the body or out of the body I cannot tell God knoweth how that he was caught up in the paradise and heard not speak a word which is not lawful for man to utter. And if such a man will I glory ye to myself, I will not glory but in mine infirmities. For though I will desire the glory, I shall not be a fool, for I will say the truth. But now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. Lest I should be exalted due above, for my measure is an abundance of revelations. It was given to me, a thorn in the flesh, the master of Satan, to buffet me. Lest I should be exalted above measure. This thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. Sending me my grace is sufficient for thee. My strength is made perfect in a weakness. Most gladly, therefore, while I gather glory in my affirmations of power, that Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in affirmations and reproaches and necessities and persecutions and strifes for Christ's sake. When I am weak, then am I strong. Become a fool and glory, and ye have compelled me, for I ought to have been convinced of you. For nothing am I behind the very achieved apostles, though I be nothing. True, the sign of the apostles wrought among you in all patience, the sign of wonders and mighty deeds. For what is there wherein you are inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdened, so you forgive me this wrong. Behold, the third time, I am ready to come to you, and I will not be burdensome to you. For I seek not yours, but to you, that shall not to lay up for the parents, the parents for the children. And I am very gladly to spend me spent for you. Though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. But be it so, I did not burden you, nevertheless being crafty. I caught you with guile and scorn, but I will not make a gain of you with the infidel I sent you. I desire Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Meteorist and Titus make a gain of you. Walk we not in the same spirit. Walk we not in the same steps. Again, think that we accuse ourselves of you. We speak before God and Christ. We do all things your beloved for edifying. Veriless, when I come to you, I shall not find you such as I would, and I shall be found to you. Well, this has a lot of interesting things in it. you know especially we see that Paul got special visions and special revelations even the fact that he couldn't tell whether he was in his body or out of his body I don't know if he had an out of body experience or he was in his body but he was caught up he says into the third heaven and he said he didn't know whether he was in his body or out of his body but he does say that he was in paradise and he heard unspeakable words which he said it was unlawful for him to say well that's quite an interesting account that he was caught up in a paradise before he died there's been a lot of stories of people who I guess on their deathbed since their soul leaving their body and they're looking down on the operating table and they see people around them doing things and they're out of their body floating up toward heaven also he talks about that he asked God three times to heal him and the answer was my grace is sufficient for thee So tell the faith healers that Paul didn't have enough faith, will you? Next time they tell you you're not healed because you didn't have enough faith, say, well, if the Apostle Paul didn't have enough, well, then I guess I don't have enough. It's not God's will that all men be healed. In fact, Paul ended up saying, I will rather glory in my infirmities So if we have, I guess, our glory in my osteoporosis, osteoporosis hip that I've got problems with, I guess Mark will glory in the fact that he struggles with his mind. Because we've prayed and prayed for Mark and God has said no. So we take pleasure in our infirmities and reproaches and necessities and persecutions. Sometimes it's hard to Take pleasure when somebody's trying to take advantage of you. Remember, I'm a landlord. Okay. Take pleasure in infirmities and reproaches and necessities and persecutions and distresses for Christ's sake. When I'm weak, then I'm strong. and he talks about the signs of the apostles that were wrought among them signs and wonders and mighty deeds and uh... anyway I'm glad that he covered this kind of covers the challenge with the name it and claim it people doesn't it he says When I come to you, I shall not find you in baits and envying and wraths and strifes and backbiting and whisperings and swellings and tumults. You know, I'm glad that we live in a little house church. We don't have to be amongst all this stuff. Anyway, he says, Some have not repented of uncleanness, fornication, or selfishness which they have committed. We all should repent every day of any sins we commit, and only God can grant us repentance. That's all I have to say about this.
