Character Counts: Keys To Christian Credibility

We live in an image-obsessed culture. The corporate world and entertainment industry in particular spend untold millions managing the image of products and people. God’s children are blessed with a radically different approach to image. He changes us from the inside out, so we don’t merely look like people of character, but in fact are people of character. By the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, we become God’s image bearers. Paul told Timothy to disarm his critics by immersing himself in God’s desire to make him a man of character: "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12, NKJV).
