The King's Cross and Our Cross

Text: Mark 8:31-38 | Speaker: Levi Bakerink | Description: Jesus is the Christ. But what does it mean for him to be God's Anointed, the Messiah? Jesus begins to teach his disciples plainly that it means he must suffer and die, but in three dies will rise again. They couldn't believe it! They were expecting a conquering king, not a crucified Christ. Christ is King, but he receives his crown through the cross. And all of us, if we are to follow him, must bear our own crosses as well. That is our call to discipleship.
