He Shall Prolong His Days

Isaiah wrote: "he shall prolong His days." This is a veiled reference to the bodily resurrection of Christ. It assumes His death. Jesus' sinless life and perfect substitution demanded resurrection. Resurrection wasn't an act of grace but of covenant agreement and fulfillment. His resurrection is the result of sin-bearing and justification - "because of our offences and because of our justification" (Rom. 4:25).
