Genesis 22:1-19 - Now I Know

Did God test Abraham by calling him to sacrifice Isaac because He didn't know how Abraham would respond? Isn't that what it means when God says, "Now I know that you fear God...?"

That's what Open Theists would have us believe, that God does not have exhaustive foreknowledge of the future.

But the Bible is clear that God does know the future.

Rather, God required this ultimate demonstration of faith, for Abraham, for Isaac, and for everyone who ever reads that account.

And in that demonstration, God also provided us with several intense images as precursors to His own eventual sacrifice of His beloved Son, Jesus.
