Well, good evening, friends. Lovely to see you. Look down and see your sweet smiling faces. I'm going to butter you up by saying you don't look a day older than the last time I've seen you. And for some of you, I saw Billy yesterday and a few others, but it's lovely to be back here in Abbots Cross. Believe it or not, I think it's around 13 years from I was last here. So I don't know what it did, but anyway, I'm delighted to be here. this evening. And our brother did give us a warm welcome and said that it was good to have our brother Lloyd Watson with us. Quite a few years ago, I remember being asked to go to a faith mission mission somewhere in the country and to give a word of testimony to sing. And anyway, whoever was leading the service turned around and they welcomed me and they said, we're delighted to have our brother Lloyd Watson with us. wee old woman at the back, she couldn't hear too well, she says, oh my goodness, she says, who's Lord Watson? Well, the name is Lloyd, no connection of Lloyd's of London, so please don't ask me for a loan on the way out or anything like that. But it's great to see so many out on this Lord's Day evening. Now, this is my second service. I have another one after this in Ballyrobert Mission Hall, a few miles up that road there. And just pray that we get there on time and everything works out well. But as many of you know and are aware, well, we were in the city mission as well as faith mission. And anyway, we give the Lord and the work of the city mission 35 years, both in the Shankill, Jersey Street, and also in Donegal Road. But however, dear friends, time changes, and people change, and situations change. And because I had a special birthday, I was more or less told it was time to go. So Bangor Congregational Church came along. They were vacant at the time. And they asked me, would I be willing to become their pastor in the church to do the visitation and take charge of the services and so forth like that? So we have been there five and a half years. And how quickly the time slips by. In fact, somebody said, time flies. And that's just exactly what the wee woman shouted the day the husband threw the clock at her. Time flies. And it was flying. But anyway, we've known the hand of God with us in many ways there in Bangor. As some of you are aware, it is a small congregation and getting elderly or older. But anyway, how we long. for a mighty moving of the Spirit of God. Usually once a month, about the second Saturday in the month, we have a morning of prayer. And there may not be big turnouts and so forth like that, but we're delighted to get through to the Lord in that place of prayer. And you know the Lord has promised that where the twos and threes are gathered in his name, there he is in the midst. And the Lord's no man's debtor. And we had a gospel mission last year in the month of September into August. And who was chosen as the evangelist? None other than our good friend and brother, John Ware. And of course, John has now become our son-in-law. And in a way, the Lord's using him and blessing him. He was to finish a mission this afternoon in a tent over in Lisburn beside Dobbies. And the Lord has been really moving and blessing. And I think we were there Friday night, and there was about 200 there, or maybe more. And anyway, the Lord has used our brother. But, well, there was a spirit of conviction of sin around in that mission. And you know, dear friend, on the closing Friday night, there was a big man, an ex-RUC officer, and in his own words, he had been a surgeon, he says, I was a bad boy. And I know a Christian man that worked under him, and he said every word that he said about himself was true. And so that wasn't no lie. But you know, he came under conviction of sin, and the closing Friday night of that mission, he was so broken that he couldn't even speak going out of the meeting. And anyway, the Lord was dealing with him. John Weir said, would he like a word with him? But no. and he's attended a few other meetings, and clearly then come through for the Lord. And it's a miracle just to see what God has done in that man's heart and life. Then I think of others. A school pal of John Weir's, and hadn't seen each other for over 20 years. He phoned John up one day during that mission, and he said, look, he says, my life's in a mess. He says, I need to do something about it. And John says, come along to the mission in Bangor. And sure enough, that very night, he came under conviction of sin. And he waited behind, spoke to John. And John had the tremendous joy of leading him to the Savior. And I'm told he's gone on well. And we thank God for the ones and the twos and the threes and the fours. Now, we would have loved to have seen more Bangor people trusting the Lord. But yet, dear friend, it's another soul into the kingdom. And we can praise God for his faithfulness. However, on the closing Friday night as well, there was a youngish girl from down the Ards Peninsula. And I don't know whether there's any Porto Vogue people here the night or not, but I jokingly say that's the center of the universe. But actually, I go down to this girl's nursing home. Her and her mom and her aunt run the nursing home. And that is Rocky Acres down in Ballyhalbert. And you know, dear friend, we have a tremendous opportunity, usually month by month, of bringing the gospel to those residents down in Porto Vogue area. And anyway, this young girl was under conviction of sin. I give her John Weir's booklet on the way out. And the Lord was taking such a dealing with her. And you know, dear friends, that night she was in bed, she got out of bed, she was back in, she was so restless and unsettled. And anyway, eventually she just got out of bed, fell on her knees and cried to the Lord for mercy. It's amazing what God did even during those days. And we praise God. And that young girl's gone on well with the Lord. She had a dear friend who was just 42 years of age, a lady married with two young children, had been diagnosed with cancer. And do you know, dear friend, that girl in herself, well, she was longing for healing, even in her body. But thankfully, she got healing of soul as well, and she's trusted Christ as her savior. And the girl, in question that actually came through on that Friday night. I think her cousins and brothers, and there could be six or seven just in the immediate family circle, have recently trusted the Lord. And we thank God even for all his workings and blessings. And then down in Bangor, well, we labor on, we plod on. And just last month, I think it was, we lost our dear brother, the Reverend John Hayes. And I'm sure some of you do remember John Hayes. He was minister up in Larne. He was also minister in Bloomfield in the Congregational Church there. But I tell you, dear friend, John came in every Sunday evening in his wheelchair on Sunday mornings, twice on a Sunday. And you know something, dear friends? He told us that he would go to bed each night at nine o'clock and would waken about two o'clock and spend the next three to four hours in prayer. A prayer warrior has been called home, and I wondered, dear friend, will there be someone here who would take up the challenge to pray through? We need men and women and young people of prayer. And you know, dear friends, I love good music and so forth like that, but I tell you, yet, dear friends, we need even to get back to Holy Ghost prayer meetings when the power of God is let loose and when God's power and blessing is experienced. Now, that's not the sermon, by the way, dear friends, but saying a few of these would shorten the wonder, wouldn't they? We'll not talk about winter yet. It's the summertime and we rejoice in all this beautiful weather. And as we often pray, well, as we see the sunshine round about us, doesn't it remind us of God's great love even for mankind? And there's been a number of deaths. There's been a lot of sickness. And anyway, there's one of our faithful members. Her daughter, three weeks ago in her 50s, was rushed into the Ulster Hospital. And anyway, they didn't give any hope whatsoever. But after the May meetings were over yesterday, I did nip into the Ulster Hospital just to see this girl. And she was on a ventilator, and really no hope. But with God, nothing is impossible. Do you know, when I went yesterday, I'd been there last week, and I'd been there the week before. She was totally out of it. But yesterday, they have her propped up in the bed and just lying there on her side. She was able to speak. And you know, I said to her, this is a warning to you. The next time, it might be fatal. And do pray for that girl. The Lord knows her name, but will you take her upon your hearts and pray for this girl and pray that soon she will be saved. Her mother is a Christian and she has been praying and praying and praying as we all have been for this particular girl. So thank you very much indeed. Yes, it's quite a time from when I was last here, but it's a real joy just to see familiar faces. I needn't say old faces for you, definitely throw me out. And anyway, the only thing about age, friends, we can all rejoice to know that we've never been this age before. And this time next year, we'll be a different age. Isn't that right? If you've got your Bibles with you, can you turn with us please to the book of Philippians? Philippians chapter 1 and we'll commence reading at verse 3. So it's Philippians chapter 1 and verse 3. Philippians 1 verse 3. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you always in every prayer of mine for you all making requests with joy for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now being confident of this very one thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ. Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, insomuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye are partakers of my grace. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you, all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. And this I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. that ye may approve things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Christ Jesus, unto the glory and the praise of God. But I would that ye should understand, brethren, that the things which have happened unto me have fallen out rather onto the fortherns of the gospel, so that my bonds in Christ are made manifest in all the palace and in other places. And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ, even out of envy and strife, some also of goodwill. the one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely supposing to add affliction to my bonds, but the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel. What then, notwithstanding every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached, and either in do rejoice, yea, and I will rejoice, for I know that this shall turn to my salvation, through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness and always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain. Amen. May the Lord add his blessing upon the reading and the proclamation of his own inspired word. Shall we just bow in a word of prayer, asking God's blessing, asking the Lord to come and speak to all our hearts here this evening in Abbots Cross, from the youngest to the oldest. And we all have special needs, but the Lord is able to meet us at the very point of our need. Shall we pray? Speak, Lord, in the stillness while we wait on thee. Hush our hearts to listen in expectancy. Father, we thank thee for your presence already felt in this service. We thank thee, Lord, for every head bowed in your holy presence. And gracious God, now as we turn to the pages of holy scripture, we pray, Lord, for the anointing of God the Holy Ghost. Hide man behind the cross. Lord, take of the weak things. Use them, Lord, to confound the mighty. We pray that you'll bind the strong man, spoil his goods, We pray that in this service this evening that men and women and young people will have dealings with the Christ of God, souls wonderfully saved and delivered, backsliders restored, brought back into fellowship again with our Lord and Savior and the children of God mightily blessed. Have thy way, Lord, this with all our hearts. Have thy way. In Jesus' name we pray and asking the covering of the precious blood of Christ. In Jesus' precious name we ask these things. Amen. and all of God's people said amen and they shouted amen brother so there we are now nobody go to sleep in the night so there we are just a wee word of prayer Father in heaven we just pray that you will once again come and minister thy word to saint and sinner alike and glorify thy name and we pray that you'll drive out the evil one and bring glory to the lovely name and the cause of Christ for Christ's sake. Amen. Yes, dear friends, I would like us for the next few moments or so just to center our thoughts upon the subject, blessings received from living for God. Blessings received from living for God. It's true to say, dear friends, isn't it, that there's many people live for sin. and for the pleasures of it. Maybe there's some here this evening, and at one time you loved the world, you loved your sin, and you loved your nights out, and yet Jesus came, praise his name, and you're rejoicing in the knowledge of sins forgiven and peace with God through the blood of his cross. Hallelujah. Yes, dear friend, when we experience God's salvation, it's the most wonderful thing in society and in the world. And I'm reminded of a young Irish girl somewhere in Northern Ireland. She worked in a large factory. And over a weekend at home, she got wonderfully saved, and her life changed and transformed. She went down to the factory first thing in the Monday morning, and she witnessed to the fact that the Savior had met with her. And they began to tease her and mock her on one thing or another. And they said to her, Kathleen, how do you know that you're really saved? And as quick as lightning, she says, I was there when it happened, and I ought to know. And you know, dear friends, no one can argue us out even of personal experience. And whom the sun sets free is free indeed. I wonder, is there someone in our church service this evening? And maybe you're still, as it were, bound. You're fettered. and you're still in nature's darkness. I'm glad to be able to tell you, friends, there's power, sin-destroying power, in the precious blood of the Lamb. And thank God the blood shall never lose its ancient power till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more. And you know, dear friend, if you're not saved, if you've never had the precious blood applied to your heart and life and your soul, why not tonight? Now is accepted time. Now is God's day of salvation. And tonight, dear friend, the Lord Jesus Christ, he suffered, he bled, he died upon that center cross that you and I might be forgiven, that we might go at last to heaven saved by his precious blood. Well, dear friends, not only do some people live for sin, other people live for pleasure, others live for self, others live even for making money, and for greed, and for gain, and so forth like that. But you know, dear friend, not so the Apostle Paul. a man who'd been a blasphemer and a persecutor of the followers of Christ, and he would have killed him, he would have pushed him into jail or into prison, and yet on the Damascus Road, he was wonderfully converted and his life changed and transformed. And you know, dear friend, he became the Apostle Paul. Saul of Tarsus before that, but what a change, what a transformation. I'm glad to be able to tell you, dear friends, if any man or woman be in Christ, they're a new creature. Old things are passed away and all things are become new. And let us ask ourselves this evening, friends, here in Abbots Cross, in this beautiful summer evening, what are you living for? Yes, dear friend, in verse 21 of this chapter, Philippians chapter 1, we read in the words of the apostle, for to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain. I know that there's many of us this evening can truly say, for me to live is Christ. To die is gain. But I wonder, am I speaking to someone, whether a child, whether a teenager, somebody a wee bit older, just like the rest of us, because we used to be teenagers as well a few years ago. But anyway, dear friends, as we think of it, well, there's nothing better than knowing Christ and even knowing his great salvation and knowing the cleansing power of his precious, precious blood. Well, what are we living for? You are the only one that can answer that before God this evening. Yes, dear friend, we know exactly what we're living for. And I trust that we're all living for the glory of God, for the extension of his kingdom. In this chapter that we've been reading together, we started off by saying we wanted to speak on blessings received from living for God. Well, there's four different aspects that we want to look at in regard even to this verse of scripture. First of all, we can see set before us a wonderful declaration. Now, there's been no doubt about it, dear friend. Over the years, politicians and celebrities have actually declared many wonderful statements and declarations. But you know, dear friend, wasn't it Churchill? And I just, I think, vaguely remember Churchill had been about, but he used to say, united we stand, divided we fall. Wasn't it John Major, in a more modern day, talked about getting back to basics? But you know, dear friend, even though earthly people have made great statements and declarations, surely the word of God outstands them all. 1 Timothy 1, verse 15, and it simply says, this is a true and a faithful saying, worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Thank God he's able to save you tonight in the gallery, downstairs, over to my left or right, in the porch. Thank God. The Lord can meet you at the very point of your need. Do you know, dear friends, I was saved a few years ago when I was 15 years of age. And anyway, well, as you know, that was a few years ago. I'll not tell you how many just exactly, but I think a lot of you have a good idea. And I tell you, I was deeply religious. Church, Sunday school, boys' brigade, every Sunday, Sunday school, mission hall, evening church, and the rest of the Sabbath day was your own. But I tell you, when you worked in six times in the Sunday, you hadn't much time left to do anything else. And I was wonderfully saved at a mission conducted by the late Charles Campbell, the minister who came along to Consbrook in those days and did a gospel mission, but he was actually an Albert Bridge Congregational at that particular time. And I'll never forget that Sunday night, walking down the road home, after I had trusted Christ as my Savior, I could have jumped with joy. The burden had lifted, and I wasn't a drunkard, I wasn't down and out, and I wasn't a murderer, but you know, dear friend, I need a Christ. And so do you. And whatever the need might be, maybe some of you are proud of the fact that you're a good churchgoer, you don't do anybody any harm, and that's commendable to a point, but you still need to be saved. And you still need to come the way of the cross, and you need to turn from your sin and seek the Savior. as we think of a wonderful declaration. This declaration for to me, to live as Christ, to die as gain, it's wonderful because of the source who has made it possible. None other than the Lord Jesus Christ and his heavenly father, the great eternal one, the one who inhabited eternity and the sinless, spotless lamb of God. I wonder tonight, dear friend, is he yours? Are you rejoicing in the knowledge of sins forgiven, peace with God through the blood of his cross? But then, dear friend, not only do we see the source of this great salvation, we can also see the satisfaction that it brings of knowing Christ. Friend, it's wonderful to be able to lay your head in the pillow night by night, and whether you should never waken up again or not, to be able to say, it is well, praise God, it is well with my soul. And I trust, dear friend, that you here in Abbots Cross, lovely to see you out, and we appreciate your presence. But you know, dear friend, is it well between your soul and the Savior? Where would your soul be two minutes after you die? There's many of us. Our soul will be with Christ for all the endless ages of eternity. But I wonder, are you amongst the many of us here this evening? If not, dear friend, God loves you. Christ died for you. He shed his precious blood upon the cross. And as the hymn says, bearing shame, scoffing rude, in my place condemned he stood, sealed my pardon with his blood. Hallelujah. What a Savior. As he hears tonight, yes, dear friend, the satisfaction of knowing Christ, that because of this great salvation and the joy of knowing Christ, it takes away our sin. The Savior has said, as far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. We see, dear friend, the satisfaction of knowing Christ, that it takes away our sin, and then it brings Christ to our hearts and to our lives. The hymn writer says, I must have the Savior with me, for I dare not walk alone. And you know, dear friend, I often wonder, how folks that are unsaved and have no Christ and no comfort and no assurance of forgiveness of sins, how they can manage with all the trials and the debauchery and the sins and the wickedness even that we face day by day. And then not only does this salvation bring Christ to our hearts, wasn't it Paul the Apostle that said, Christ in you, the hope glory and of course dear friend not only does it bring Christ to our hearts one day it's going to welcome us even to the realms of glory I'm looking forward to it the hymn writer says loved ones gone to be with Jesus now in robes of white array may be waiting for my coming where the roses never fade and yet dear friend I Are you there? Are you on your way to heaven? Are you redeemed? Are you rejoicing in the knowledge of sins forgiven? Because now is accepted time. Now is God's day of salvation. Not only do we see in this verse a wonderful declaration, we know that many declarations have been uttered in the past. But then, dear friend, this leads us to see a wonderful decision. Paul the Apostle, he was formerly known as Saul of Tarsus. He was a persecutor of the followers of Christ, he was a blasphemer and he was just a bad, bad, bad person. But you know it's amazing what the grace of God can do and what it did for this man, even Paul, Saul of Tarsus. And it was a wonderful decision, first of all because it was personal. Ah yes dear friend, salvation is something that is personal. God loves you, he loves me, he loves the whole wide world. But as the hymn writer says, what will you do with Jesus? Neutral you cannot be. Someday your heart will be asking, what will he do with me? I'm sure some of us here this evening have heard of the late Dr. A.B. Simpson. And Dr. A.B. Simpson was the founder, or the man, who actually found the chloroform and brought it into being. He was a born-again Christian. He knew and loved the Lord. And you know, dear friend, a young student tried to, as it were, trip him up. And he said to him one day, oh, Dr. Simpson, what is the greatest discovery that you've ever made in your life? And that young student thought that the Dr. Simpson would automatically say, discovering chloroform. But he just thought for a moment or two, And quietly he replied to that young man, he says, young man, the greatest discovery that I've ever made in my life was that I was a sinner in need of God's salvation. And he says, I'm glad that even that greatest discovery has led me to the point that I have a great deliverer and a great savior. Friend, have you made the greatest discovery in life? That you're sinners, but there's a great Savior. His name is Jesus. He wants to be your Savior, and He wants to come in, take full control. Don't we often sing at Sunday school or with the young people? And maybe it was the first chorus some of us ever heard. Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong. And sometimes, when we go to certain areas, we will actually bring in a little verse, maybe you've heard it. Jesus loves, say, the Abbot's Cross girls with their fringes and their curls. And he loves the Abbot's Cross boys, even though they make a noise. Well, there you are, dear friends. As we think of it, a wonderful decision. Yes, it's a personal decision. But thank God, it's a present decision. The Bible doesn't talk about tomorrow. It says, boost not thyself of tomorrow. But the Bible says, now is the accepted time. Now is God's day of salvation. And therefore, dear friend, tomorrow could be too late. That yesterday afternoon, as I spoke to that girl in the Ulster Hospital, I said, don't put it off any longer. I can't say to you, think about it until tomorrow. For I said, none of us have any guarantee that we will be here. And we see a wonderful decision. Do you know we all are called upon in life to make decisions, isn't that right? When you're at school you have to decide what subjects you want to follow, what career you want to pursue and of course dear friend, later on in life you have the decision to make where you want to live, what you want to do, what you want to work at And you have the decision if you want to get married or even just passing that. And anyway, or maybe there's some that are still hoping that that step will come. And of course, you never know what's around the corner. But anyway, dear friends, as we think of it, it's wonderful even to know the Savior in a personal, intimate way and a wonderful dedication. Yes, dear friend, for the apostle Paul, his life was changed. He was a blasphemer. He was a cursing man. He was an injurious man. And he sought to destroy the followers of Christ. But I tell you, his life was wonderfully changed. And he became a new creature in Christ Jesus. And we see that for Paul, it meant a wonderful dedication. I think it was D.L. Moody that once said, if I had a thousand lives to live again, I would live them all in the service of the master. And you know, dear friend, as we think of this wonderful dedication, Paul's whole life was truly dedicated to his Lord and Savior. I know here in Abbots Cross that the faith mission is very dear to your hearts and so forth like that. And I see Mary sitting down in the church there somewhere. She and I trained together. And you know, the Bible college has never been right since. But no, we had good times of blessing. And anyway, I remember visiting the graveside of the late John George Govan, who brought the faith mission into being and written on it. is I love my master and I will not go out free. Friend, if this is your last day on earth, I wonder, would the same inscription be written on your headstone or on mine? I love my master. and I will not go out free." This wonderful dedication meant separation. Yes, dear friends, we see that even Paul had to sever all his links with what he was bound and fettered with. And again, friends, we cannot have our sin and the Savior. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Are you willing to separate yourself unto the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? It'll cost us to go through with God, but I tell you, dear friend, it'll cost us so much more and one day to offer the Lord idle hands. Oh, dear friend, he's coming, and he's coming soon. The Bible says, be ye also ready for an hour such as ye think not, so cometh. the Son of God from heaven. And we see that there's separation. Are you willing to separate yourself unto the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? And then, dear friends, not only will it mean separation, it will mean sacrifice. If we're going to live for God, there's a cost to be paid, dear friend. There's a sacrifice to make. But yet for Paul, the Lord meant everything to him. And many of us have heard of the late C.T. Studd, great man of God, who gave away, I think it was 30,000 pound of wealth and fortune bestowed upon him by his late father from his will. And C.T. Studd went to serve God. And you know, dear friend, well, he wrote those words, if Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for him. For to me, to live is Christ, to die is game. A wonderful decision. Have you made that wonderful decision? Friend, this would be the most wonderful night of your life if you're willing to let go and let the Savior have full control and take Him in your heart and in your life. A wonderful decision. Yes, we all make decisions day by day, hour by hour, and we see that this was the best and it is the most wonderful decision that anybody can make. And we see wonderful dedication. But at the end of Paul's journey, at the end of his life, there was truly a wonderful destination. Heaven, even, that awaited him. And we see that heaven, with all its beauty, with all its splendor, it's a wonderful place. Because Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of mankind, is there. There's no more sin there. There's no more wickedness there. And there's no illness and pain and suffering and all the rest. And you know, dear friend, everything is perfect, even in heaven. Christ, to be with Christ, which is far, far better. It speaks to us, this place, a wonderful destination. It speaks to us of a place of reunion. Yes, loved ones gone to be with Jesus, now in robes of white arrayed, now are waiting for my coming, where the roses never fade. I'm the youngest of six, always jokingly saying my mother must have got such a shock when I was born, there was no more after me. But believe it or not, dear friends, it's down to two of us, one sister in Annadale Nursing Home and myself. And I tell you, we do miss our loved ones. Many of them have gone on to be with Christ, which is far, far better. But you know, friend, there's a day coming. Hallelujah. And there's a day of great rejoicing. I'm looking forward to it. And the hymn writer says, there is coming a day when no heartache shall come. Hallelujah. Yes, we'll walk the streets of gold and we'll be singing around the throne. Yes, dear friend. And we'll all receive a new body. Hallelujah no more aches and pains and we'll not need our glasses and we'll not need our false teeth and we'll not need the hearing aids because all is perfect and bliss even in the land that is further than day. Not only does heaven speak of a place of reunion Heaven also speaks of a place of reward. If we love the Lord, if we live for Him, out and out, well then one day, when we meet our Savior, He will say, welcome home, my child, well done. Well done, good. and faithful servant. Yes, the hymn writer says, I have only one life on this earth. And as vapor is passing away, I must labor for the treasures of worth. Errtoil ends at the close of the day. Only one life to give. I could never withhold that from God. I have only one life to live. I must not miss the well done of God. Friend, can you truly and honestly say, as we bring this service to a close, For to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain. I believe God has been speaking. I believe that the Lord has been searching us out through and through. Maybe there's someone in the church service this evening. You're not saved. God has spoken to you time after time after time. Oh, dear friend, have done with lesser things. And in simple, childlike faith, call out. Place your hand in the nail scarred hand of Jesus and go with him step by step. I tell you, you'll thank God for this May meetings weekend Sunday. Yes, a beautiful evening. And you'll be thanking God. even that you reached out and trusted him as he's passing this way. If you're not saved, thank God, he says, come. And I will give you rest. And if you are a child of God, maybe you've lost out, well, dear friend, he's able to restore the wasted years, and he's able to forgive and cleanse and pardon and grant us his peace.
