John 3:14-18
Introduction
- Proverbs 3:5-6
- Romans 10:17
- Hebrews 11:6
- Faith
- Trusting that God has the power to do what He says
- Just because we can't sense God, doesn't mean he isn't there
- It does make it more difficult to trust and obey Him
- But that is what He asks us to do...to have faith that God is, and that He can save
- Demonstration of faith - John 3:14-18
- v14-15 - Look to the cross and believe that Jesus' death can save us
- v16-17 - God sacrificed His own Son because He wants to save sinners
- v18 - Condemnation. Jesus takes the penalty for those who believe.
