When we are learning Matthew, we only have the last few chapters left. According to the will of God, we happen to be learning the resurrection of the Lord Jesus on this Sunday. Let's take a look at the first to the tenth chapter. Matthew 28. On the first day of the 7th day of the month of Anshi, when the sun was about to rise, Maudala's Maria and that Maria came to look at the tomb. Suddenly, the earth shook. Because there was a group of messengers coming down from the sky, they rolled up the stone and sat on it. Its appearance was like lightning. His clothes were as white as snow. The guards were so scared that they stood around in a panic, even like this man. The angel said to the woman, do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, who has been crucified. He is not here. According to what he said, he has been resurrected. Come and see where the Lord is. Go and tell his disciples that he has been resurrected from the dead, and that you have gone to Galilee first. There you will meet him. Look, I have already told you. The women hurried out of the tomb, afraid and happy, and ran to hug his disciples. Suddenly, Jesus met them and said, May you be safe. They went up and hugged Jesus' feet and bowed to him. Jesus said to them, do not be afraid. Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, where you will see me. This is the word of God. May the Lord bless us to read his word. Let us pray together. Lord God, we gather together at this time to praise the name of Lord Jesus Christ, and also to obey him, to speak to us in your words. Lord, please open our hearts, so that we can understand your words today, and thus express our sincere joy. This is not only because of the cross on the mountain, but also because you were freed from the tomb of death and walked to the glory of life. We pray to the Lord to make these things happy in our hearts. Today we come to look up to you. The reason why we gather here on the first day of every week is for the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. For the Church in Reformation, every Sunday is a Sunday of resurrection. Every Sunday is a reminder that the Lord Jesus Christ is victorious. He is victorious over the tomb, victorious over sin, and victorious over death. When we think that the Lord Jesus Christ miraculously overcame death, we are always truly moved and rejuvenated in our hearts. So we are going to listen to this morning's scripture. The first point I want to talk about is the manifestation of the angel. In the first chapter, we have two women, Maria and Maria. In the Gospel of John, John says that there are some other women. There are several of them. They are going to use spices to make Jesus' body. This is really their wish. But they completely forgot that the Lord Jesus had spoken to them about the prophecy of his resurrection. I have never personally experienced the vibration of the earth under my feet. Here, in the history of mankind, God intervened, causing the earth to vibrate. This is an extremely important sign in the history of mankind. This is an event that belongs to God. He took a large stone and moved it away from the door of the tomb. And the angel himself sat on that large stone. As he moved the stone away, he noticed that in our Ecclesiastes, it is not recorded how our Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected. Isn't it very interesting? We don't have a description after Jesus Christ was crucified, but we know that when he appeared to his disciples, he appeared in their room. The door was closed, but we know that when he appeared to his disciples, he appeared directly to his disciples. It is shown in the house they are in. The door is locked. Maybe he also passed through that big stone like that. It is also possible that the stone was rolled away and then rolled back to the original place. We don't know the specific details. But here the angel descended from the sky. He rolled the stone back. And this was not done by Jesus, because he was no longer there. The angel rolled the stone away, and he sat on it. He was waiting, waiting for those women to come. Because he wanted to show them the empty tomb. After that, John and Peter also came. He wanted to tell them the glorious news. The tomb was empty. No one was there. Of course, this was very surprising to the women. They were carrying spices and were about to come to Jesus' body. John wrote that they were very sad because the Lord's body was gone. What did they do to him? So they became very anxious. The Lord's body was taken away. It means extremely bright and shining. His clothes are as white as snow. This is very interesting. We have read the third chapter of The Way of the Rising Sun before. Elder Zhu has read it at least twice. The response to those who have won. They must wear white clothes. Here is the angel's clothes. White as snow. This reflects the will of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those saints also wore the will of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is really very dramatic. The angel's clothes are bright and white. His appearance makes people fear. Chapter 4 The guards were so scared that they were fighting, even like dead people. We don't know exactly what happened to the guards there. Their responsibility is to guard the grave. What did they see? Maybe they didn't see anything. Maybe because of what happened, they lost consciousness. We do not know their own reaction to this matter. Then the angel spoke. He made such a declaration. This is our second point today. First is the manifestation of the angel, then the declaration of the angel. He said to the women, don't be afraid, I know you are looking for Jesus at the cross. In fact, this is a kind of gentle reproach, because he has been resurrected, just as he said. The angel means that you should listen to what the Lord says, you should listen to the truth. You should expect it to be an empty tomb. But the angel did not openly and clearly blame them. Instead, he was encouraging them. He said, he is not here, because he has been resurrected, as he said. He did what he promised. The good news that the angel gave them was a great encouragement to them. It was just right for those women's doubts and questions. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom the Lord loves, should be a great encouragement to you. For many people, this has become a reason for fear. They are anxious, don't know how to act, don't know what to do. It's very interesting when we see those people anxious, afraid. But you are not afraid. Aren't you in this experience? Why don't you become more anxious? Don't you care? We will not rush to death. But because of the resurrection of Christ, we accept death. So this is the Lord's encouragement to His people. He is not in the tomb. He has resurrected. Just as He said, the angels further said, Look, this is where the Lord lies. This is proof of resurrection. When they came to the tomb, what they saw was an empty tomb. If you search around, there will be more evidence to prove the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And the evidence of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ has more evidence than many events in history. It has been proven that the fact of an empty tomb is wonderful. People often come to think about the tombs of different religious leaders. Their tombs are full of bones. Only in Christianity is there an empty tomb. Only in Christianity is there someone who conquered death. He is God himself, Lord Jesus Christ. The angels came to encourage those women, but they quickly told his disciples that he had been resurrected from the dead. and spread the good news. They need to know that she has gone to Galilee before you. You must see her there. So this is the instruction to spread the good news. This good news will spread all over the world. It is the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those women immediately obeyed. With their joy and fear, they immediately left the grave. The eighth stage is a mixture of bewilderment and unexpected emotions. And there is also fear and extreme joy. When those things happen, people will tremble. Isn't this very real? When we are surprised, we will feel frightened. When you're not sure how things are going to develop, what will happen? It will make you scared. You may have heard doctors say to people, you have cancer. What kind of cancer is it? Is it curable? Or is it incurable? Is it developing fast? Or is it developing slow? How long can I live? These are the first questions that will appear in your mind. How long can I live? It is those uncertain things that create fear. Even under those circumstances, it is still our duty to believe in the Lord. I am uncertain, but God is certain. He has already preordained this event until the end, so there will be these two emotions, fear and great joy. Last year, not last year, but last week, we also read from the second chapter of the poem, Chapter 11, simply fear to serve Yehoshua, and simply be surprised and happy. This is to serve Jehovah with reverence and joy. Please note that this is very different from those who guard the tombs. When they see the angel and feel the earthquake, they are full of fear. And that is not a kind of reverence, but a kind of extreme horror. But the Christian reverence is a reverence for his strength, magnificence, and dignity. My beloved, do you reverence the Lord's great power and His glory? Imagine that you are standing in front of a dam, or maybe you are standing in front of the Niagara Falls. Water, with tremendous energy, rushes to the edge of the cliff, forming a huge waterfall. This is a kind of fear of huge energy. That kind of fear of huge energy is a kind of fear. At the same time, there is a great attraction. You want to know all of this. What you feel. Even though you are still standing next to the dam or next to the waterfall. You feel that everything is shaking. Directly feel that huge energy. What the Lord loves is just a small part of the power of God. It's shocking and frightening. What the Lord loves is to see Jesus Christ come again with such awe. with great power and great glory. With us in this life, this kind of glory, even to think about it is unimaginable. What the Lord loves is in Christ. You will see his glory. You will also see his ability. This ability surpasses all nations. This ability surpasses all things in the world. This ability surpasses your imagination. This is the day he will come to show his glory. This is a day full of glory and extremely glorious. The Lord loves us. Let us look at this from a different perspective. Everyone in Christianity sees this ability differently than non-believers. They will flee and hide. Let the mountain fall on us. Let the rocks cover us. Because we don't want to face this kind of anger. This is the anger of Gaoyang. This is another paradox. The anger of Gaoyang. Because Gaoyang has become the judge of the world. So, here are the women expressing some of our emotions. They leave the tomb, carrying fear and great joy, running to tell his disciples. The third point we want to talk about is confirmation. This kind of confirmation comes from the mouth of Jesus. When they move, the Lord Jesus comes to greet them. Here, the word greeting or hail is like the shalom in Hebrew. This shalom can be used when you greet each other. 就好像問候你好,當分別的時候說再見也可以用這個shalom 所以是見面和分別兩種情形都可以用的 This word has the same meaning as the word All Hail or Greetings here. It can be used as a greeting to say hello or hello to you. The Lord Jesus greets them and shows them to those women. This is also recorded in the Fuyin in another place. In the society at that time, women were often not respected. But the Lord honored them. First of all, He revealed Himself to them. In His life, He brought them into a prominent position. When the Lord Jesus was living on earth, they were His faithful servants to take care of His needs in the earthly life. Should we say that they received a reward? According to this idea, they are the first witnesses of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is such an honor, such a privilege. It is indeed so. They became messengers to tell the disciples of the Lord. Please pay attention to this short passage of the Bible, how frequently the Lord uses the word faith. Although there must be a resurrection day, the Lord Jesus did not immediately appear in her tomb. John records that they mistook her for a virgin. Those women thought she was a virgin. Jesus appeared there. immediately tell the ladies about the message that came from the angels, and then they would tell the disciples. So the Lord used his message. The Lord loves you. No matter how the voice of the Lord enters your heart, you should be grateful for the fact that God has answered your prayer. The voice of the Lord is good news. We often hear the story that the Lord Jesus directly says, Oh, Jesus is here to show me. He stood by my bed and told me about himself. It sounds impressive, but this is not God's usual way of working. Now, she no longer uses this method to work. She works through those humble beliefs. She works through sinners. How many of you have heard the Buddha's voice through your mother? In our modern society, is there a more humble identity than this? You stay at home and take care of your children. This does not count as God, nor does it have a great sense of responsibility. No matter what you say, but to receive the blessing from your mother's hands is precious, isn't it? So she comforted them and ordered them to tell my brothers to go to Jerusalem. There they will meet me. He did not say, go tell my disciples, but he said, go tell my brothers. This is a kind word, a word of love. Christians use it to call his disciples. However, they have all escaped. Maybe they were still there when the cross was set. Those disciples were gathered in the house. They were confused about what all this meant. The second chapter of the book of Hebrews, chapter 11. Because those who die to be saints and those who are able to be saints are one and the same, so He calls them brothers, and does not call them disciples. This reminds us that Christ does not call us brothers or disciples. Despite all our weaknesses and all our failures, Christ did not call his people the brothers and sisters in him, but shame, because it was he who brought them into his house. Matthew chapter 12. When the disciples came to tell Jesus that he was in a crowded room, which made it difficult for him to bear on the body, Jesus stretched out his hand, pointing to his disciples, and said, Look, my mother, my brothers, those who follow my commandment are my brothers, sisters, and mothers. Matthew 12, chapter 49, verse 50. Here, the master is talking to his disciples about peace and blessing. Even though they lack confidence, they are my disciples. Even though they are confused about what is happening around them, because of their lack of confidence, they are my disciples. These are my brothers. These are my mothers. They are my relatives. As long as the person performs the duty of talent, and the duty of talent is to live in the Lord Jesus Christ with confidence. What the Lord loves, so the disciples have done the will of God, although they did not do it perfectly. So, what the Lord loves, in these days you do not feel despair, because you look at Jesus Christ and think of his resurrection. Is this the faith that you have in your heart? I believe that Jesus Christ came out of the tomb. He was made in history one day. He came out of the tomb. The influence of this thing has continued to this day. This ensures that everyone who believes in Him has a life of resurrection. If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you believe that He will resurrect from the dead. If you believe in the gift of God, that He will resurrect from the dead, then you have the same hope of resurrection. This brings us to the last point. A, Adoration. Adoration is what those women do. They come to hold her feet and bow to her. So, this is not just as it is recorded in John's Gospel. Jesus said to them, don't touch me. Here, this phrase is, don't hold me tight, don't hold me close. What he means is, this is not just a warm friendship. It's like after this epidemic, we will shake hands with many people, hug each other kindly. Those things will be done quite naturally. Jesus told Mary, This is not just a physical relationship. Right there, they are kneeling at his feet. They are worshipping him. This is very important. They are worshipping him. They use Jesus as their Lord to love him. They are very happy to see him alive. They may not understand The meaning of resurrection in application. But what the Lord loves, you may not fully understand. Right? At least once a year, we come to talk about the resurrection of the Lord. There will even be more times. We should come to talk about this topic often. Even so, we still can't fully understand The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ contains all kinds of meanings. How did he resurrect from the dead? Why did he resurrect? All those things have more and deeper meanings, and they are continuous. What the Lord loves for the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is too much to be grateful for. But we do know foreign foreign 我想提一下几件事情。第一,就是我们拥护所喜爱的教义,justification, 称义的教义,罗马书第四章二十五节说。 Jesus was handed over to us for our transgressions. Resurrection is for us to be called. So what the Lord loves, this is the freedom that the Lord Jesus Christ gave us glory. For us to be called, He resurrected. This is directly connected with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. So what the Lord loves, Think about it. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, did you say that if the resurrection didn't happen, you wouldn't be able to reconcile with God? In these days, we especially need hope. Peter's first book, chapter 1, verse 3, says that John is the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He created his own people, and Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, and gave birth to us, and gave us a lively hope. So this is a lively hope. It is a hope of life. It is proactive. When you feel hopeless, you are not sure of the time, you are not sure of the date, and you are not sure of the future. Those doubts are due to your lack of hope, isn't it? So your hope needs to be continually updated. And this hope is produced by your understanding of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. But this world will despise you. You will respond to what is happening in the world with your spiritual virtues. You will see people laughing at you. Satan will mock you. Another time is when you yourself, me, and my previous nature will mock you. They said, do you think you can read your Bible to understand what happened to you and your life? Do you think you can walk on the right track with your prayer and your faith in Jesus Christ? This is walking with confidence, and living with confidence, isn't it? It means that we need to open the Bible now, more than ever before. We need to ask God's permission, more than ever before. Because according to His abundant love, He has given us a lively hope to be resurrected from the dead through the Lord Jesus Christ. So this makes one think, did Jesus Christ resurrect from the dead? Why? Isn't this a question that has been raised hundreds of times? Did he really die? How did he die? Why did he need to die? Is he the Son of God? Is his death necessary? Yes, this is not only that he must die, but also that this is God's will, God's predestination. It was already set before the creation of the world. It is necessary. It is because of my sin. Because of my sin, Jesus Christ was set on the cross. Because of my sin, he must be set to die. If there is no death for him, there is no life for me. I still live in my sin. Paul says in the 15th chapter of the Book of Galilee, If the Christ is not resurrected, your faith will be destroyed. You are still in sin. Then we become the most miserable people. What hope do you have? No hope. If Jesus is still in the tomb, if the bones of Jesus are still in the tomb, we can all go home. We have no hope. There is no reason for us to gather together. But what the Lord loves, we really hope for. Because our Savior is sitting on the right side of the Father God. He is praying for us. He is praying for us. He is praying for each and every one of His people. Because of the test that you have received, he will individually pray for your soul. He will pray for all kinds of weaknesses. He will pray for you as the Great Priest. Because he is not dead, he is alive. He is alive. He gives us eternal hope. In these days, brothers, let us actively grasp this hope. Let us seek help and add our confidence. If you still don't understand those things, You have to pray. Lord, increase my confidence. I know these things should be true, but I am still anxious. I still feel dizzy, confused, and afraid. Lord, please take away my worries and fears. You have instructed me not to be afraid. Save me from fear. Please grant me the hope of blessing. Let us pray together. Dear God, we come to you because you are kind and merciful. You order us to seek you. Lord, please save us from fear. so that we can be free from anxiety. We pray again, so that you can make us your faithful witnesses to witness your grace. May we pray for you to save us from all kinds of worries and fears. lead us into the justice and holiness that you have established, and live in the Lord Jesus Christ with confidence. Lord, we ask that the Holy Spirit lives in us. Lord, we ask that you fill us with the desire for your words, the desire for the restoration of the communication between Christians, and eager to accept God's gift of justice. This is what you have bestowed upon us. Lord, we ask that you hear our prayer today, so that we may be filled with peace that comes from you. We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
