I don't use it much, but I've
been blessed. God's been so good to us. What
a message last night. As he was preaching this, God
was showing me. I thought about all the good
little young brothers and sisters and the brother that came up
last night and prayed. He about run up here and had
a stroke. Still about running up here to this seat to sit down
so he could pray and ask the Lord to help him. Amen. Well,
we can do that at home and I understand that. But boy, ain't nothing
like just being blessed to come to the house of God and been
able to come up here and make an open profession. Boy, I just
appreciate that tonight. The Bible said to confess our
faults to man. one another and our sins to God. Amen. So when we do what he asks
us to do, he blesses us tonight. And I'm not ashamed of him. I've
been ashamed of myself a lot in my lifetime. And I've done
a lot of things that I am ashamed of. But on that day in 1989,
I'm not ashamed of anywhere I'm at to tell you that in Valdez,
North Carolina, a little 13-year-old boy Met the Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. He's been the best thing to me.
I don't know about you tonight, but I'd say it for me. Ain't
he been the best thing in your life? Amen, ain't he been? Some
of you ladies, he's the best man, amen. There's a little lady
down there in John chapter four, the Bible said she'd been married
five times and the one she lived with was just shacking with him.
But boy, there's a day she went down there to the well. And there's
a man sitting there and he was weary, but I believe he was more
thirsty for soul than he was natural thirst. And brother,
listen today. She met the man she needed in
her life right there. And when he came in, she dropped
her water pot, went down to the city, and began to tell them
men, said, hey, come down here and let's see a man that told
me all there was about me. He's able to do that tonight.
Would you let Him witness to you this evening? Over in the
book of Acts chapter number 4, I don't claim to be nothing.
I'm who I am tonight and I'm going to do my best and you help
me tonight. You can help me by praying for
me and I know you already have. And I've been pondering this
today. We're just having a little fellowship. there at the coffee
place today. And I told Robbie I wasn't trying
to be antisocial. Amen. But there was a time there,
Brother Hubert, I had to slip off and go over there and sit
down on the couch and begin to just stare out in space, I guess
they thought. But the Lord would just show
me a few things. And I'm glad God's still God
at Walmart. I'm glad He's still God wherever
I'm at. down at the drug store, down
at the grocery store, down at the house of God. He's still
the same. And I'm thankful for that today.
And I'm not ashamed. Are you? Amen. Acts chapter number 4. I wrestled with this. I was talking
to Robbie coming up the road. I said, man, I hate to read so
much, but I'm going to have to tonight. I'm going to have to
read about 20 verses. There in verse number 1, if you
dare say amen. 4 and 1, And as they spake unto
the people the priest, and the captain of the temple, and the
Sadducees came upon them, being grieved, that they taught the
people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the
dead. And they laid hands on them,
and put them in hold until the next day. For it was now evening
time. How about many of them? which
heard the word believed, and the number of the men was about
five thousand. And it came to pass on the morrow
that the rulers and elders and scribes and knights and whatever you want to call
him, the high priest, and Cappius, and John, and Alexander, and
as many as were of the kindred of the high priest were gathered
together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in
the midst, they asked, By what power or by what name have you
done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy
Ghost, said unto them, ye rulers of the people and elders of Israel,
If we this day be examined of the good deed done to this impotent
man, by what means he is made whole, be it known unto you and
to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ
of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead.
Even by Him does this man stand before you, here before you hold. This is the stone which was set
at Nauv, of the builders, which has become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation. Boy,
I like that, don't you? He said, neither is there salvation
in any other, for there's none other name. under heaven were
given among men whereby we must be saved. Now when they saw the
boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearning,
ignorant men. Boy, they was off on that, wasn't
they? They marveled and they took knowledge of them that they
had been with Jesus. That's all I worry about tonight. I care less my name's in the
lights. I'm going to get to that in a
minute. Amen. And it said, And behold, the man which was healed
standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when
they had commanded them to go aside, of the council, they conferred
among themselves, and saying, What shall we do to these men? For that indeed a notable miracle
hath done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem,
and we cannot deny it. But that it spread no farther
among the people, let us straightly threaten them that they speak
henceforth to no man in his disname. And they called them and commanded
them not to speak at all or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter
and John answered and said unto them, Will it be right in the
sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God? Judge
ye, for we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and
heard. And that's all we'll read tonight.
Now I know that's a great lengthy reading, but it didn't hurt us
very bit tonight. But boy, I like this scripture
tonight. Amen. The setting, a part of
the house of God or the people of God. If you would tonight,
I'm glad that this separation, my friends, only come by the
Holy Ghost and amen and I'm glad it started way back in the book
of Exodus in the 11th chapter if you read down there how the
Bible said that God amen said they wouldn't even be a dog wag
its tongue and his people my friend you hear me tonight he
said for he put a difference between between them and the
Egyptians God always had. Now come on with me just a minute
tonight. I don't preach like Robby. I
preach like God wants me to. Amen tonight. But I'm going to
tell you, I begin to think about these scriptures and this impotent
man that laid down there by the from the gate outside the temple.
Oh, Peter, come to him that day in that same power, amen, that
Peter was telling him about. Why, Brother Robbie, he told
that man, didn't he? He said, silver and gold, have
I none? Amen, listen, God never told
you he was gonna be rich. Amen, but he said, you can have
the power of God. Amen, Peter said, I ain't got
none of that what you're looking for. He said, but I'm gonna tell
you about a man. He thought about this, this word
right here. He said, all we can tell you
is what we've seen and heard. A man today wanted an ice. I tell old brother Paul, a man
after that had opened his eyes. I thank God. and called him and
opened his eyes. He said that he might just tell
what he saw and what he heard. Amen, you're with me tonight.
Amen, when God saved you. Amen, he gave you a testimony. Amen, I've seen this last night. All these folk upon the altar. Amen. Now you've got a story
to tell. Amen. And a testimony. We're
God. I was bringing you through. And
I thought about the church today. Amen. I thought about this right
here. The Bible said to see and what
you've heard. Amen, I thought about this. Over
in the book of Matthew I read about a man named Jairus, my
friend. I heard Jesus was passing by. Amen, and his daughter lay sick. Amen, down yonder, at his house,
brother down, about to die. Amen, but Jesus was on his way. Amen, and Jairus got to him. And boy, he's on his way to Jairus'
house. But my friend, that man stood
back, and he saw how the crowd I thronged the Savior, amen. They saw a people, amen, wanted
to just reach out and grab him, amen, touch him, my friend. Oh,
my friend, but he saw this little woman that had an issue of blood,
amen, for 12 years, my friend. She had struggled in her life. I'm unclean, unclean. And Jerry'll
sit back and watch no doubt in my mind how that woman pressed
through the crowd. Why in his mind his daughter
was dying at home. Here's this woman holding up
the Savior from getting to her highest hell. But can I say tonight,
he ain't late, he's on time. My brother, you'll never outdo
the Lord. He knows what he's doing. Amen,
there's a little woman who reached out and just touched the hem
of his garment, pressing through the crowd. She reached out, get
a hold of him, and she said, I don't need to hug him. I don't
need to fall on him. I just need to touch the hem,
the finished part of the garment. Oh no, I'll be made whole. Are you with me tonight? He saw
that. Oh, listen. And then, you know,
Jesus makes his way down there to this house. My friend goes
in, his daughter's alright, and he saw God, Jesus Christ himself,
walk into this home and just take his daughter, a man by the
hand, and lift her up off her dead bed. He just tell us what
he saw and what he heard. Amen, today not thought about.
Amen, going on down in the scripture. Amen, this little boy, little
man, after 38 years, had to lay by the pool, but there's no one
to help him in. Amen, no one to help him in the
water. when it was troubled. And Jesus said, What would you
that I do for thee? He said, I can't get in. There
ain't no man can help me. I in here, they get in before
I do. It's just paraphrasing tonight.
Amen. But you know what I'm talking
about, don't you? Amen. But listen, he couldn't
get in. But Jesus, Already saw all his
need and he came to where he was. I'm glad the Lord come to
me. I'm glad the Lord reached way
below the bottom and took my hand. I'm glad he picked me up
out of the mire and set me up on a solid rock and established
my going. Brother, you can't do it without
him. You're gonna have to have Jesus. I'm just telling you what
I've seen and heard tonight. Listen to me. Here he was. He meant trouble in his heart. But he left, didn't he? Carrying
that man. Robbed him of affliction. There he was. He couldn't walk.
But there he went. Mark chapter 2, Jesus is in the
house and they saw the great prince and the house was filled
and there's no room to get in. The Bible said Jesus preached
the word unto them. Boy, it used to be a time, didn't
it, when the word of God drew people to the house of God. There's
power in the word. It ain't lost its strength. If
there's any losing strength, it's in me and you tonight. If
there's any shortcoming tonight, brother Herb, it's in me and
you. If there's any downfalls, brother Rob, it's in me and you.
It ain't in him. Amen. If we lift him up, he'll
save our people. Amen. I don't know what your
need is here tonight. I'm just going to tell you what
I've seen and what I've heard. Hear me tonight. Old Peter made
that declaration. You can say what you want. I'm
just going to put it in hillbilly terms. He told old Cappius and
them, he said, you can do what you want to do, whether you think
it's right or not. I'm gonna tell you what I saw
and heard. I'm gonna tell you my story. Amen, that's what you
gotta do tonight. The church, amen, has a story
to tell. The church, my friend, has a
testimony to share. We have power in the name of
Jesus. Are you with me tonight? Amen. Amen to see and heard. That's
what he said. When we go over to Acts, Acts
22 and 14, and this is at an hour of talking to the brother
Paul now, who's been converted on the road to Damascus, an evil
man, and they're thinking he's doing the Lord's will. had letters,
Brother Herbert, in his hand, and he was causing havoc right
in the house of God. He was locking up Christians,
causing them to blaspheme. Amen. But there's a day he met
a man, a man on the road to Damascus, and the Bible said on the other
end, and I said, And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen
thee that thou shouldest know his will, and see that just one,
and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt
be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. Amen. I'm telling you tonight,
We had power. I grew up in a time, and I mean,
there's people here older than me, and I understand that, and
I honor them. But God's given me some experience,
and amen, I'm 49 years old. I still remember going to the
mountain with the church when I was raised in. I still remember
the women shouting up the pathway. I still remember sitting out
to honor that maple tree. that night before I even knew
what salvation was. Well, I feel it tonight. Amen,
Brother Herb. And I said, I don't know what
they're shouting about, but I'd like to feel it one day. And then in 1989, the Lord said,
here I am. I've got you an invitation. You
can sit at the master's table. You want to feel it, you can
have it. God ain't lost his power. What do you do with it? When
it comes time to die, you've heard the word. You've been around
the power. But you ain't got it. Somehow
it's escaped you in your life. And I thought, boy, we're living
in a sad time, Brother Herbert. And boy, we're living in a sad
time. Amen. There's a lot of people
being saved, but they're not being born again. Amen. You know what? Being saved, I'm
going to tell you this right here. Don't you get me wrong. I know we've got to be born saved.
I know what we're talking about. They're just a whole lot of people
that's more sorry about getting caught than they are sorry for
their sin. Amen. Therefore, they're saved.
They're not born again. When you get born again, you
don't want to sin no more. Hear me tonight. Listen tonight. And the world sees it. And the
world hears it. And they say, if they're gone,
I ain't got nothing to worry about. What are we going to do with
it? What we've seen and heard. Amen. Listen. Amen. He says this. He said this is the stone the
builders rejected. He was the very one, the chief
priest, the high priest that Jesus crucified. And here he
is again. And he's got all his friends.
And he can't do nothing with Peter and John. Amen. You know why? Because the power
of God is so great in their life. Church, God ain't lost His power. We've moved away from Him. Listen
to that. We don't need to do that. Don't
accuse God of losing power when we're not drawing near unto Him. He's not going nowhere. Ain't
that right, tonight? He said, listen. He said, you
crucified him, Cephas and his friends. But I'm going to tell
you, that's the world tonight. You know what the world's afraid
of? They're afraid of the power of God. That's why they're trying
to quiet the church. They know it's real. The devil
knows, brother Robbie, he's real. And he's trying his best to use
every instrument they are to stop it. But brother, they ain't
gonna stop it. Amen. They tried to stop Christ. He still got up on the third
day. He still had captive captive.
He still fulfilled the promise under Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
He still had them out. I'm telling you tonight, the
devil knows when you get where God wants you, you've got power! Am I right tonight? Does the devil try to stop you
from telling what you've seen and what you've heard? Why, Sister
Rebecca, does the devil try to stop your testimony? We look
around tonight, and there's a lot of family in the room. Don't
you dare let the devil use that against you. At the end of the
day, Brother Darrell, we're all brothers and sisters in Christ,
those that's been born again. Amen, not even, don't look at
it in a natural way, look at it in a spiritual way. Hey, when
they got born again, they became your brother and your sister. It goes far beyond being an aunt
and uncle, naturally. He goes far beyond. Brother Robbie,
tonight, of being a kinfolk in blood, we're kinfolk in the blood. Do you understand? I may not
have your blood type physically, but I have it spiritually. Are
you with me tonight? And when you get down, I ought
to be able to help you, amen? Because we are the same tonight.
What the church sees, or what the world sees in the church,
is a church falling apart, Spiritually! How can we be attractive? How can we be attractive when
God, hey, when God's trying to help us and we're letting the
devil stop us from telling what we've seen and what we've heard?
That little woman down there, I wonder how many she told. Wonder
how many she went and told Brother Robbie about her touching the
hem of his garment and being made whole and having her fountain
of blood dried up. I wonder how many more the little
woman down there at the well told other than them men down
there in the city. I wonder how many people that
woman and John ate. I went and told about this man
that had mercy. Amen, he was wise. He saved my
life. She was going to die. She was
caught in an act of adultery. Are you hearing me tonight? She's
caught, she's guilty. She's guilty of charge. But weren't
you caught at one time? Weren't you guilty of charge
at one time? Somebody that's saved tonight
ought to know what I'm talking about. Somebody's born again
to know what I'm talking about tonight. You was caught. God
knew you. You was going to hell. You was a sinner. Hey, listen
tonight. You was black as coal, but he
loved you anyway. Are you with me tonight? God,
Jesus writes on the ground. And he gets back up, didn't he?
Ye without sin cast the first stone. So he stoops down and
writes on the ground. When he gets up, they're not
there. The stones are there, but they're not. They can't throw
them. Because in the book of Leviticus in the law it says
there had to be two through three witnesses. And the ones that
witnessed it had to be the first one to catch the first stone.
You know a lot of times in our life, in our Christian walk,
we've got it in our hand and we went on rumors and we went
on and got facts and we're ready to kill one another. Oh, my friend. I believe in living right and
clean. I do. You know that. Amen. But listen tonight. There's some
time we can't get so religious we can't reach somebody. We can't
look up in the air at people and treat them like they're scum
of the earth. When, hey, without the presence
of God in your life, that's all you are. Am I right? How do you treat sinners, Charlie?
You treat them just like you want to be treated. You talk
to them like you want to be talked to. You respect them as you expect
to be respected. See and heard. What's better
than an audible testimony? What's better brother Dyle than
an audible testimony? The one you see. The one you
look at and watch their life. Not that you're looking for mistakes
but God's amazing you. They go through things. They've
been through things. They don't understand the sickness.
They don't understand the diseases in their body. But they're trusting
God. Somebody is watching them. Are you with me today? Hey man,
listen to me tonight. What have we seen and what have
we heard? It's different, ain't it? What have we seen and what
have we heard? Hey man, how has it affected
the church? Hey man, you probably, I don't know about churches around
here, but I know back up home, it don't take too long to fire
a place that's dried up. But the reason it's dried up
is they've removed the Word of God from behind the pulpit. Now
we've got play sessions, and then we've got story time, and
we've got this and we've got that, and we ain't got no gospel
being preached, and there ain't no holy living no more, and people
is just living loose, and listen, and the good pastors back up,
where I can go, I can say for myself, hey man, they hang around
a dead body so long, and they vex their own soul, amen, for
being around it, amen? I'm going to get loose in this
revival. I'm telling you, God's going to... Listen to that. There's everything for a reason. Everything. What's hindered us? Well, last night we had a lotter
full. Now these folks here, these young ladies and men, now you
have an opportunity. You can take what you were struggling
with and what you thought the devil had defeated you with and
you brought it to him and he said, come unto me and you came.
You took his yoke and he said, take my yoke and I did. And now
this is what he's doing in my life. Hey, listen, you don't
have to wear a t-shirt with Jesus on it. You don't have to wear
a hat with a cross. I've got one that's got a cross
right there, but that don't make me a Christian. But it's how
I live and how I walk, how I have a relationship with Christ. Listen
to that. You want to win somebody, be
a child of God. Why can't we just be Christian,
Brother Herbert? I feel a lot of love out here.
I was thinking today, Brother Darrell, Probably the last time
I felt love like I feel out here is when we went to the Philippines.
When the people were weeping, pastors would weep when you couldn't
come preach at their church. They wanted their people to hear
the gospel. Hey man, they didn't care. They just wanted to hear
the preaching. They wanted, there's like you
guys. Hey, let's get to the Word of God. It don't matter, listen,
and you know what? God's given us an opportunity
in these next two weeks here to have a real helping from Him. Are you with me tonight? I mean,
you cousins has got to get off from I'm your cousin. I'm his
cousin. You're their sister and you're
their brother in Christ. Hear me? Hey, we got to get out.
I'm their brother and I'm their... No, I'm talking about spiritually
tonight. If we're going to help, we're
going to see one another through the eyes of God. Amen. Ain't that right? Amen. That's true, ain't it? I was
thinking about today, the church, how it's seen and how it's been
portrayed. What a shame it is today. Amen, we got what not knows today. We got pastors, children participating
in things. It's whirling. It's eating us
up up at our house. I'm telling you, he said, your
zeal is eating me up. The zeal of thine house is eating
me up. Amen, listen, people so quick to jump in the world. Oh,
listen, we need to come together. Honey, we need to press into
this thing. We need to pray for one another. Amen. Listen, we
need to dedicate this time to Him. Amen. Listen, don't be distracted. Don't be distracted. You want
to be blessed, keep Him in front. Are you with me tonight? Amen. Peter said, hey, whatever you
want to do, this is the way we're going to do it. This is the way
we're going to do it, Brother Daryl. I'm just going to tell
you about the resurrection. See, they didn't care how much
they preached as long as they didn't preach in the name of
Jesus. You know why? That name they was trying to
kill. That name they was trying to get rid of, Brother Daryl.
That name, hey, that's got power in it. There is no other name
given under heaven whereby man must be. And the devil knows
it tonight. We're preaching. They're telling
about Mohammed. They're telling about Buddha
and they're everyone dead. Their bones are probably powder
right now. Amen. When we tell them about
Jesus, people get offended. You can go over there and look.
He ain't there. His bones ain't there. He's resurrected. We just
celebrate the resurrection. I didn't celebrate bunny rabbits
and I didn't celebrate the eggs, but I celebrated a risen Savior
who's coming again. And brother, if we ain't ready,
we ain't going. Is that right tonight? If I cross
you on the Easter Bunny, too bad. The only one I like is chocolate. It's in trouble. But I'm telling
you tonight, folks, we've got to get ourselves out of this
world. Hey, Paul said to crucify this
flesh. Hear me tonight. Hear me tonight. There's certain people that gets
up every day, guys. They don't think another thought
about hell. They don't think about heaven. A lot of people
think you're just born to die and be like a dog kicked in the
ditch. Who told you that? Who told us and convinced us
of that? They're trying to take Jesus off everything. They're trying to, hey, Transgender
Sunday on Easter Sunday. You hear me? They're trying to
get the attention from off Christ. Hear us tonight. And a lot of
churches is letting it happen. For another button of seed, another
20 and offering plate, another 100. They're letting Christ go
right down the road. Amen. Are you with me tonight?
That Peter said, whatever you think is right or not, he said,
this is what we're going to do. Hey, you can judge it if you
want to, whether it be right with God, but he said, we're
just going to tell you what we've seen and heard. This young man,
he was 40 years old, and he laid down our body, hey, hey, hey,
asking for off, begging for money, but he got something better than
money. We think all the time, I'm gonna come to a close here
in a minute. Hey man, I didn't do no acrobat moves tonight.
I ain't gonna ever do that, probably. So, I'm gonna tell you this tonight,
and I didn't say it to make you laugh, but I just do me. That's another problem in
the church, I told my church. A lot of times we come to church,
we get that the man's doing actions. Jumping on this, jumping on the
pews. But they're letting the most
important thing go in this ear and out this one. It's nowhere
around this. That's why there's a whole lot
of people saved, but they ain't born again. You hear me? If you're
drowning and I throw you a lifeline and I pull you out of the water
and you run back and jump right back in, that's not being born
again. That's just being saved time after time. I've heard people
say, I've been saved four times. They said, I've been saved four
times. I said, well, you need to be born again. It's a transformation. God changes
you. All things pass away. Behold,
all things become new. He didn't say some of them. Hey,
if you've still got that fleshly trait, you need to pray and get
it under the yoke of God. That's what it's about. Living
a Christian life is about decreasing and him increasing. Am I right
tonight? Amen. Peter, them boys have been in
prison. They've been whooped. They've been struck. Hey, Paul's
in prison. History, I guess, teaches he
died somewhere out there. But listen, the thing about it
is he wrote 14 books of the New Testament. A lot of them sitting
right in a dungeon. You see, they could stop Paul,
but they could not stop God. They could stop the voice of
Paul, but they could not stop the voice of God. See, in our
life, there's people that's fighting spiritual battle sitting in our
congregation that's still trying to tell somebody about Jesus. Oh, what a warrior that is. You
think about that tonight. What a warrior that is. At the end of the day, I could
pretty much like how you dress, and I pretty much like your strict
way of living, but I'm going to tell you what. It's what you
are behind closed doors. It's what you are down at Walgreens.
It's how nice you are to somebody down at the restaurant, huh? That's at the end of the day.
People see who you really are. It's easy to come in them doors
and put on a good show. Dress like everybody, look like
everybody, but if you ain't careful, you got a big old skeleton hanging
right behind the curtain. Am I right tonight? You pray. If you didn't like how I preached
tonight, just pray real hard. Maybe God will give me something.
something else. I don't know. But all I know
is the Word of God, guys. That's all I know. All I know
is I want to tell you what I've seen and heard. I've seen God
work in my life. I've seen God work in my girl's
life. I've seen God work in some of y'all's lives. I saw you be
blessed. I've heard good things. And that's what they're doing.
They're telling the story of Jesus in their lives. And that's what
we've got to do. No matter what, first we got
to tell about Jesus. He's got to be number one. Papaw
can't be Papaw. He's got to be your pastor. Am
I right, Herb? Am I off base? Brother Dale,
he can't be daddy and uncle. He's got to be the minister of
God. He's got to be the preacher.
He's got to be the one delivering the word of God to my life. I
can't look at him and say, that's just dad. And that's just Uncle
Darryl. No, no, no. The devil has tricked
us. The devil has caused us to lose
respect for our elders. Amen. For them that teach us.
and has therefore set a boundary between us. I don't know why
God want me to do this tonight. You can't do that. Hey, you're
out here, and I know, I'm just telling you like I feel tonight,
and I know you feel left out. And I know you feel like you're
just a part of a certain place. And that nobody knows about you.
But can I tell you something tonight? My God is the same one
when they exiled John the beloved out on the Isle of Patmos 50
miles away from everybody. The power of God come upon him. And he ascended into third heaven. God can use you. You ain't so
separated. God can help this church in what
it needs. God's able to do that. There's
still people that love the Lord. You ain't by yourself. There's
people listening. There's people watching. What
are we looking for? Are you looking for the power
of God in your life? or favor with man. Can I say tonight a holy life
ain't popular? A separated life is not popular,
guys. I've got a lot of friends up
to the house, but when I go home on Sundays, I don't see nobody. Brother Errol, I don't. I talk
to Robbie on the phone, a few other brothers on the phone. Nobody comes down my driveway.
But you know what? I'm happy. Would you like to
have more company? Well, yeah. If I can help them,
I'd like to have them. Amen. Amen. But I'm not going
to debate with the devil for nothing. I don't have to. It's
settled. It's settled, guys. It's settled.
You don't have to massage the devil, honey. If people ain't
going to live right, I'd get away from them. I mean, that's
just the way I am. And what I mean by that, you
can't practice what they do. You can't do what they do. You
can't say what they... I'm just being honest with you
tonight, church. Separation sometimes... The Word of God does two things.
It brings us together or it separates us. It is. It's two-edged. It's two-edged. But we as Christians,
if we're going to kill with it, we've got to be slain with it.
What are you talking about? Well, I can't tell you to live
like a certain something if I don't. I've got to get in this Bible
and live for myself. And then I can give you instructions and
try to help you. Amen? I used to get mad at them old
men for taking me out on the back road and say, Charles, if
you don't watch that, that old girl's going to have you chasing her down
the road. And you ain't going to be preaching no more. I'd
get so mad. I'd suck my lip and get mad at them old men of God.
But you know what? They was absolutely 100% right. I've seen so many men pick a
relationship over their ministry. Are you with me? Young folk,
don't do that. Don't do that. Live for the Lord. Live for the Lord. At the end
of this thing, when you die, you're standing before Him. He
sees you. He knows your life. I wouldn't
go to hell for a hundred women. Amen. You women, I wouldn't go
to hell for a thousand good-looking, tall, dark, handsome men, either.
Are you with me? I'm going to tell you, it's a
trap. It's a trap. The whole time, Samson's mommy
said, don't go down there. Don't you take a wife out of
the Philistine. What'd he do? First thing he
went and got him was a whore down there, a harlot. Then he
didn't get her so he wouldn't be defeated. He wanted to go
down there. There's Delilah. Finally, he
found the one he loved. But you know what? No God used
him at the end. He cost himself. Big. Big. Now he's down at the mill
grinding with no eyes. Now he's asking a little lad,
would you put my hand up on the pillow so I can feel it? And
his hair and his strength began to come back. But he died. And he killed more people in
his death at the Philistines than he did the whole time he
was living. But he didn't have to go down that road. There was
a choice to be made. You didn't have to. My friend,
by running from the Lord, you're going to cost yourself more than
you're willing to pay. I'm telling you, you ain't got
the check to get you out of sin. You ain't got a check to write
you out of hell. We have a good friend, preaching
friend, we was talking about the other night, guys, this is how deceived
the world is. This is how deceived the world
is, Brother Hubert. We got an older preaching friend, Leo Reimers
is his name. He preaches at my church and
Brother Robbie's too, at times. Said he went to what, I think
his sister-in-law's funeral or something. I guess Catholic or
something. But anyway, her husband died. Well, her husband died. And Leo
said they're beginning to pass the offering place. He said,
well, that's the nicest thing I've ever seen done for a widow.
The church is taking up an offering place, you know, going to help
the widow. But you know it turned out to be for the priest. So
he could pray him out of purgatory. They was paying a man to get
him out of trouble with God. Don't work. Don't work. People follow men like that right
there. And they call them father when
the Bible said not to call no man father. You bring your reference
nobody but him tonight. He's not going to have his glory
took from him. But that's where we're at today.
And people look at that stuff and they say, that's the church.
Yeah, you're right. And I know if you're here tonight
and you say, well, if they live like that and they can go to
heaven, I ain't got no trouble. I'm going to tell you something.
I wouldn't go to hell for nobody. Amen. They say up the church,
and I know I'm rambling on, but I'm going to tell you something
tonight. They say up my way, well, I would go down there,
but they're a bunch of hypocrites. But they go to Walmart with them.
And they'll go to the same steakhouse and eat them and wave a hand.
You know what I'm saying? But that's where we are tonight.
That's where the church is tonight. That's where people are tonight.
Am I right? Somebody said, well, you don't
know the world from the church. Yes, I do. Yes, you do. We have
an unction. God's people knows. Amen. He
don't deceive us. Amen. He said, my sheep hear
my voice, and they will not fall. He knows his sheep, and his sheep
know him. Is that right? Are we going to
rip John out? Do you hear me tonight? Go ahead,
brother. You want to play it? Make an honor call, folks. Listen,
I'm going to go home tonight, and I'm going to go over and
we're going to have fellowship here in a little while. But I
want you to know, Dad was going to work on me. He said that didn't
go over. That's what you're going to do.
I know by experience. I know what's going to happen. Herbert's been
there. Darryl's been there. All these
men that preach, you know what I'm talking about. You've been
there. But I'll tell you, I did my best tonight. We've got to come together guys.
This church just so happens to have a lot of family. Praise
the Lord. Praise the Lord. There's future
preachers in here no doubt in my mind. There's future song leaders,
deacons sitting right in amongst you tonight. Don't let the name,
don't let the name weaken God's power. What you need to do tonight
says, Lord, what can I do to make it better? What can I do? If you're here tonight, listen,
I don't go home with you, and I'm not mad at you, and I'm not
trying to be mean at you, but if you can't go home tonight
and lay down with a pure conscience toward God, why take the chance? If you're lost tonight, what
are you waiting on? He makes all things new. It ain't
going to get no better. It ain't going to get no better.
It ain't going to get no better. We can't let the world water
down what God's trying to do for us. We've got to tell what we've
seen and what we've heard. That's where the power is tonight.
They knew if they could shut Peter and Emma up, 5,000 men
was just added to the church. They couldn't do nothing to them,
there's too much power. But Scott, I believe today we
still have the same power. It's not being unlocked in our
life because we let these things hinder us. Huh? If you're born again tonight,
you have something the world really wish they have. Pride comes before the fall. Don't it? Pride destroyed a lot
of great cities. Pride has caused many great men
to fall and ladies. You may listen to me. Don't you
limit one another for being familiar with one another. You pray for
one another that you can be your best for Jesus. You keep telling
the story, it's going to pay off. What would you do tonight? If you'd go out there tonight
and the black skies would turn even blacker, and the heavens roll back like
a scroll, what would you do then? What we do then? Hear this. What can I do? Anybody else tonight need to
pray? I know several come last night,
but there's several that didn't. I'm not trying to pull you over, If I was here tonight and I didn't
know Jesus, I wouldn't go out the door. I would not go out
the door without knowing Him. He's got blessings for you if
you'll accept them. That's the message tonight. I've
done the best I could. Amen. You pray. God will do a
great thing. How about that little lady there?
Amen.
What We've Seen And Heard
Series Revival April 1-12, 2024
When God saves us He gives us a testimony to tell. The church has a story to tell. The church has power in the name of Jesus. God hasn't lost His power. What are we going to do with the power of God? There are a whole lot of people getting saved but not borned again. When we get borned again we won't want to sin anymore.
