Amen. Thank you, choir. We're glad to have Dr. Bob Vallier with us and his wife, Barbara. Dr. Vallier's been coming to Calvary for, we figured, about since around 1984, coming every year, examining our church books, and then doing financial counseling while he's here, and just been a great help to us, a great encouragement to us, and helped us in structuring our finances the way they should be set up according to the word of God, and we appreciate that so much, and it's a real joy to introduce to you Dr. Bob Vallier. I had to do the math. I'm not that old, am I? I like what someone said, age is an attitude. My mother-in-law always said, age is your attitude. So there's some people that I'm thinking of, like Ruben Ewert. I'm thinking of him, and he's still 83. And he said, I'm still ready to go preach some church. Call me. I'll go preach there. And I'm thinking of another pastor down in New Bern, North Carolina, 91, still preaching. Pastor Bill Wingard, preaching for 50 years, same church. Yeah, what a difference. I'm glad. All right. We know the Spirit of God's here already, right? I think I got the microphone here and this one on my shoulder on. Good. I'm going to use this one here. And let's see if we can turn into the Word of God. 1 Corinthians chapter 15. I've heard a lot of messians on the resurrection. We're going to take something a little bit different. I'm not an attorney, but I certainly had my share of law courses, a lot of them. Every year, I take 26 credits every year just to keep my license up in law. I go jogging in the morning, and when I go jogging in the morning, what I like to listen to, anyone heard Albert Mohler, ever hear him? It's a podcast you can download, and it tells you a summary of the previous day's Supreme Court cases. So I'm not saying I've got a legal mind, but I think along those lines, especially when it comes to tax law, because we deal with so many people across the country. I think this past year we had missionaries in 42 different countries calling us. for help, and so we're gonna take a look at something about the resurrection, just in a little different angle. Let's look in our Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 15, and I'm gonna read down to verse number 18. Moreover, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you the first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and he was buried, and he rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures. And he was seen of Cephas, then of the 12. After that, he was seen of 500 reverend once, of whom the greater part remain into this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James, then of all the apostles. And at last of all, he was seen of me also, and of one outborn out of due time, for I am the least of the apostles, I am not meet to be called an apostle because I persecuted the church of God. Who's saying this? Paul is obviously saying this here. But by the grace of God, I am what I am. And his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly that they may all yet, not I, but the grace of God which was within me. Therefore, Therefore, whether it were I or they, we preach, so ye believe. Now, if Christ be preached, that he rose from the dead, how some of you say that there is no resurrection from the dead? But if there be no resurrection, here's eight things here, if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ then is Christ not risen. And if Christ be not risen, number two, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is also in vain. That was number three. Number four, yet we are found false witnesses of God because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ whom he raised not up. If so, be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised? If Christ be not raised, your faith is in vain, and you are in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. That's number seven. Number eight here. And in this life only, we have hope in Christ. We are all of men most miserable. Let's stop right there and ask God to bless the preaching of the word today. Let's pray. Our father, we come before thee this morning and we want to thank you for the wonderful time we've had in fellowship one with another and thank you for the great meal you supplied for us. Thank you for the friendships we have here in this church for all these years. Lord, I pray that today as we look into this matter of the resurrection of Christ, Lord, you would give us unconvinced, invincible, divisible evidences of your resurrection. Help us, Lord, not just to hear the word, but may it change our lives. Father, bless us now, we pray in Jesus' name, amen and amen. What does the resurrection mean to us? What does it mean to you? To me, as a Christian, it is the key to all of Christianity. We used to say, and I say this in our office sometimes, everything rises and falls on leadership. This church will rise and fall on leadership. Your family will rise and fall on leadership. But friends, when it comes to the resurrection, Christianity rises and falls on this one issue. Did Christ rise from the grave? Because if he didn't, then he's just another man. And everything he said he did, he's going to do, if he didn't do it, then he wasn't who he said he was. And looking back in the Old Testament, the prophet said he would rise from the grave. And so if he didn't, He didn't fulfill the prophecy either. But friends, he did fulfill those. And so I want to just look at some of the legal reasons why I believe the resurrection. Some of the legal reasons. We can look at a number of things. The resurrection sets Christianity apart. You know, it does make a difference, because it's not just a rumor that it's happened, but it did happen. And then I look at the legal reasons, because even Christ himself substantiates this five times in Matthew. Matthew chapter 16, Matthew 17-19, Matthew 26-32. He substantiates the resurrection. And so if I take this into a court of law and I said, I want to convince somebody of this, what do I need to have to convince people that this crime or whether something really happened? I need to have witnesses, people to substantiate that. And here we see many, many witnesses. In verse number six, how many was he seen by? Verse number six. After that, he was seen of 500 reverends. Now, is that enough evidence to convict somebody? Nowhere seen some of these criminal cases from the riots this past summer. I'm not going to get into those cases, but I think some of those guys that brought this upon themselves and the crimes they're trying to appropriate that the policemen were at fault, I disagree with that. When a guy attacks me, I'm going to defend myself. Especially if it's someone I've known for at least 10 or 15 years, and he's attacking me. I'm still going to defend myself. Here, the resurrection substantiates the claims of Christ five times in the book of Matthew. And he was seen over, how many? Over 500 people. So they saw him die. And you say, well, how do you know he was dead? Stick a spear through your side and get your, I won't go into the script, but pretty much everything came out. And then they carried him away. They wrapped his blood-draped body with a shroud, wrapped it all up, and then was in the grave, in this grave for three days. Now why three days? I don't mean to engross anyone else, but the body doesn't break down to about after the third day after you're married. So he had to rise up. And he rose up again, and he was seen by over 500 people. So from a legal point of view, we just look at this, the legal point, the legal reasons why I believe the resurrection, because 500 people were witnesses of it. But some people want to say, well, that's just what the Bible says. Well, how do you know George Washington ever lived? Because that's what the textbook says. Sometimes I wonder, some people need a checkup from the neck up. Because they can't believe that 500 people over here, but they will believe that George Washington lived, because I read in my American history class. My teacher told me so. You can't believe that. And so it was substantiated by the claims of Christ and seen by over 500 people. Without the resurrection, all our beliefs are in vain. The resurrection is the fulcrum point which you can hang your faith on. There's a whole lot of other things. Never mind, we're talking about the resurrection, the death and burial of Christ. How about the birth of Christ? To me, in my study of the Bible, one of the most convincing things that Jesus Christ is who he said he was is when I traced the line of the priest and traced the line of the kings, and that line, the king of kings and the high priest came together with Mary and Joseph with Jesus. That was just a coincidence. And then the Old Testament, throughout the Old Testament prophets said, he would rise from the grave. He would die for his people. But only those who want to discredit this will close their eyes and say it didn't happen. Well, it's like, you know. Someone falls in a puddle, I mean, a pool of water, and they can't swim, and they're drowning. And then they're taking their last breath and said, this is not real. I'm just imagining this. It didn't imagine. It really did happen. It was seen by over 500 people. And so to look at the legal reasons, hey, it verified our belief already. Verse three through five, it tells us that, for I deliver unto you first of all which I received, how Christ died for our sins. It verifies that. If he didn't rise, then he was just like anybody else. But he had to rise from the dead. And he was buried, and according to the scriptures, he rose again the third day. And that fulfills the prophecies in Isaiah 53, 8 through 10. Then it tells us that he would rise on the third day. Christ arose, and the fact that he appeared by so many verifies his resurrection. Just from the legal point of view, that verifies the resurrection. But people want to, they want to accept the court of public opinion, who try to deny the reality of what really happened. And friends, you can listen to the court of public opinion when they're so ungodly that they'll butcher 50,000 babies a month in just one state in America. You want to believe that crap? I want to believe the Word of God, amen? This is the very Word of God. Hey, not only did He arose, That's evidence. He did a rose. And he was seen and believed on by, I mean, he was seen in verse 6 by over 500 people who saw him resurrection. It was a visual, not just, oh, I heard that. I saw it on television. No. I mean, some of the stuff you see on TV, you wonder if they make it up. A lot of it's made up. But you can fool people. I mean, just like, you get emails like this. I get emails, somebody wrote an email to me, with me. It was me writing to me. No, it wasn't me. I didn't write myself an email. And then they want you to open this up. And you know what they're going to do? They're going to try to get everything and get out of your computer on that. And that's not what's happening. Someone's out here trying to steal our mind over here. We're just looking at the evidence from a legal point of view. Is there enough evidence to convict somebody? I won't name the case because some of this is going over the air, but there's a case going on right now. And they're trying to nail this guy down in a certain state in the Midwest. They're trying to nail him down for first degree murder. Well, you can't get first degree murder unless you can prove premeditation. There's no premeditation. Here, we can prove it here because of the resurrection. And if there's anything premeditation, he told us all the way in the Old Testament, all the way up through up there in the Old Testament. And in the New Testament, he told us he was going to rise up over and over again. And Paul, he was a hard Jewish zealot. Yet he verified that. His valiant believer said, in verse number 10 here, it says here, Paul wrote this part where we're reading, by the grace of God, I am what I am. And his grace was bestowed upon me, which was not in vain. I poured more abundantly than they all. And yet, not I, but the grace of God, which was with me. Paul was a witness of this. And Paul was no just a dummy. He was very well respected, a member of the Sanhedrin Council. And he had a lot of authority. And yet, and knew the priests. And Paul was convinced that Jesus Christ rose again. Great grace causes great gratitude. Paul was saved from the wicked life that he had before, and God saved him because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some people try to discredit that from a legal reason. They try to discredit the resurrection of Christ. And I won't go through all the theories out there, but one of them is called the theft theory. It never happened because he never really got buried. They stole his body. And so because he was never buried, he never really died. Well, if a soldier was given the job of putting this body in the grave, and soldiers were there to guard this tomb so that no one else would steal the body, and if the body was stolen, that soldier could be put to death. Tell me he wanted to take that risk from a legal point of view? I don't want to even be a prison guard if I knew where one of my prisoners escaped that I would die too. So here we look, it's impossible. It's impossible that the soldiers were sleeping. Some people said, well, he really didn't die. He faked his death. Three days into two, you faked your death, no food or water, bleeding. beaten beyond recognition on the way to the Villa de la Rosa, to that place, and he faked all that? I don't know. I'd like to have that in my court, because I think I could rule pretty clearly what happened. And you can do that, too. But the world out there wants to reject all the evidence and forget what would happen in a courtroom today. There's no way you could deny that he rose. Yeah. And get this, if a soldier did fall asleep, and when he was on guard, if he did fall asleep guarding the tomb, and suppose the disciples came in there and stole him and snuck him out of there. Some people said that happened. Well, the truth is, if you knew anything about Roman law, if a soldier did fall asleep while he's supposed to be guarding someone, it was punishable by death. So where are the people out there trying to punish the soldier? There was no one out there saying the soldier fell asleep. It's some modern day philosopher who wants to discredit the truth of the Bible. But the reality is the soldiers that were guarding the tomb could face the punishment of death. And some people would say, not only was it impossible for this to happen and so on, and then they said the soldiers stole, or someone stole the body while the soldiers were sleeping. Some will say that the disciples stole the body. and the disciples stole the body. Well, how did they steal the body with the soldiers there? And if they did steal the body and the soldiers were there, then the soldiers should have been put to death. And where's the crime there? Well, the soldiers should have been put to death, but they were not put to death. And then get this. When you go inside the tomb, the grave clothes were found in a cocoon. The grave clothes were there. I mean, now you get this, he was beaten on this cross to beyond human recognition, the crown faced on it, the sword pushed him aside and so on, and then he's wrapped up in these grave clothes, and now these grave clothes are all clean laying right there. How did those grave clothes get there? What is he wearing now? Anyone want to take that in court? and say these soldiers fell asleep. They stole his body out. I'll tell you what. Someone's believing all that stuff that this didn't happen. They're smoking something the wrong way. I'm more concerned that people want to discredit the truth. Because on this one truth, this one truth, Christ rose, that authenticates even the Old Testament prophecies. But people want to deny God because they want to deny their own individual responsibility. Americans, all across America, people have compromised what truth is. I asked a young man one day, I was witnessing to this man, and I said, what is the most important question in life? What is the most important question? Yeah. You know what the most important question anyone here watching us online or here this morning, the most important question you need to ask yourself is, what is truth? Because you get what truth is wrong, you're going to have a whole lot of consequences from getting that answer wrong. Jesus said, I am. I am, that means not just now, that means forever eternal in the past, forever in the future. I am the way, the truth. You take the truth of this Bible and twist it to fit what you want, to justify your way of life, not God's way of life. You are going to have some consequences. Consequences will come. And so here, these people out there believe this theft theory that soldiers or someone stole the body out of there. And never mind the Roman seal. That Roman seal was not to be broken. And if the seal is broken, these soldiers also would have died. But the seal was broken from the inside going out. And on the third day. You think if you hadn't ate for three days, how are you going to move a four-ton stone? After being beaten beyond human admission, speared, brought there, buried, and then on the third day, you all of a sudden came alive and Superman strength, you knocked the four-ton stone off. You've got to be on something if you're on a jury and believe that that's possible. I'm saying God, God Almighty said it in the Old Testament, and we see it in the New Testament, that that stone was moved. And it was impossible for his shredded body. That's really what it was, a shredded body after being whipped and beaten and speared and so on. His shredded body moved the four-ton stone. And then where was he seen? Where was he seen? Emmaus. That's where they saw him. How many miles is it from the tomb that he was buried to Emmaus? How many here have been to Israel? Besides, yeah. It's eight miles. So tell me a guy who's been beaten and his body's been shredded in the grave with no food or no water, had guards watching day and night, and it's wrapped up in a shroud, now shows up eight days, shows up eight miles away three days later. The evidence shows me that he did rise. And he did rise from the dead. His side was pierced. You know, you don't just stick a sword up through someone's gizzard and think the guy's going to live, never mind after he's already been on that cross and bled for how many hours, just profusely bleeding? And now he walks eight miles? Well, how do you know he walked eight miles? Well, let's just look at the people who testified that they saw him. Never mind the 500 and some people who did say they saw him. That's enough to convince anyone. Yeah, some people have this, the theory, the swoon theory, he didn't really die. The theft theory, someone stole his body. Some have this hallucination theory. None of this just happened. They all hallucinated. Well, the last time that many people hallucinated happened in Woodstock, Vermont, when they were all up their pot during the Clinton years. They were not howl-hallucinating and on pot, thinking they saw something. But when we look at just a legal answer, no, that wasn't what happened. But people will make up anything to try to discredit the absolute truth. And you'll see it even in the courts going on today when I'm not going to get into some of the court cases I've listened to this past year in the mornings I jog. Art Moeller, the briefing. And you listen to some of these court cases, and I say, how in the world could they even get that far in court? Who'd let that happen unless they're trying to set somebody up and get somebody else off the hook to protect? You think it's always honest. No, sometimes there's things going on that you and I don't know behind the scenes, and a deal's made. Then not only people said it was the theft theory, the swoon theory, he really didn't die, and then the hallucination theory, well, we're just believing this and thinking it up, and it didn't really happen. Then some people got this idea, well, it was the wrong tomb they went to. Last time I checked, there was only one tomb there. Golgotha. Golgotha was the place of the skull. And for years, for decades, it's been a decade, centuries, it's been the scene of the garbage dump. So they crystallized it up on the hill, then they threw the body over into the garbage dump. In this case, Joseph of Marathia had a tomb. And they sealed it with a stone. And the stone, you still see it. It's still there today. It's a four-ton stone. You just don't move it by yourself. And they sealed that tomb. And some people said, well, it really didn't happen. Or the women who went there to look for him, they went to the wrong tomb. You see, if you want to make self up, you can make up anything you want to excuse yourself for denying the validity of the resurrection of Christ. And there's all kinds of ideas there up there, and these are supposedly some educated people, said the women went to the wrong tomb. Yeah, but how come when they went into the tomb, the grave clothes were still there, neatly folded? Yeah. And the grave clothes were in the tomb, and the priest tore it all apart. No, that didn't happen. The case for Christ is well-evidenced. There's many attorneys, and I will name several attorneys. And some of these are called Harvard Law attorneys. I don't know about them. Well, there's many good ones who do come out of there. But there's some I just don't trust. Because when you're paid to represent somebody, you don't want to lose a case. And sometimes pride takes over the reality of what really happened. And I've learned this. A half truth is a whole lie. You get a half truth in a court of public opinion in the news media today, we got a whole lie. But they don't want to call it lies. And I don't trust the news media. I won't name the, I call it the Hanoi Jane network. I don't trust that at all. And I certainly have my doubts about which way the direction some of the conservative networks are going as well. But I know this, the word of God is true. And Jesus coming out of that grave proved that it was true. The case for Christ's resurrection. There was an attorney, and I want to try to mention his name, Simon Greenleaf. He was a Yale University professor, I guess dean of the school of law. So this guy's got a few smarts. And he wrote a book on this. And no one could have followed. And he summed up, after he did all his research, he said, no one would have followed Christ if it was a fake. If all this resurrection was a fake, nobody would have followed him. And you know this. The truth always comes through. Give it time, the truth will come out. And so here, even this attorney says it's not a contradiction of truth. It really did happen. Because if it didn't happen, nobody would have followed him. So now we see the legal reasons, and we see the logical reasons why Christ rose from the grave. Number three, let's look at not only the logical reasons, but let's look over here at what God's word says. I believe the resurrection shows God accepting Jesus Christ as a sin offering for the world. Man is born a sinner, and only Jesus Christ And I say, who's Jesus Christ? The line that came from the high priest on this side and the line that came over here from the kingly line and the priestly line came together just happened to be Mary and Joseph. And now they have a child. And this child is going to be the savior of the world. It just didn't happen. It goes throughout all the prophecies in the Old Testament about a coming Messiah who would die on a cross and shed his blood. Isaiah 53 tells us that. And it happened. They didn't plan it and set it up. And people who try to make up all these other theories, they just want to ignore all the other evidence. Friends, when you're in court and you're on a jury, you don't ignore the evidence. You sit there and say, this really happened. And this death, burial, and resurrection shows that God accepted the sin offering of His only begotten Son to take away our sins. The resurrection today secures our place in heaven. If the resurrection didn't take place, then there is no heaven to go to. There's no propitiation for our sin. Friends, the resurrection secures our future. Isaiah 51-53 tells us that. The resurrection promises us our future resurrection. Because He arose, we too shall arise. Yeah, and so we see the legal answer, and then we see a logical answer. The logical answer is, no, a lot of these people try to explain it with the swoon theory and other different theories, and we see those are just as wrong. But the resurrection, the resurrection not only shows that God accepted the sin offering, but not only that, but the resurrection summons us, it summons us to service. Because if there really was a resurrection, why are we denying God and not want to serve God at all? And so if Christ did arise, and all the evidence leads to that, why would you want to not serve God? Some of us are somewhere halfway in between. Well, I don't know if I believe all this and all this. Just look at the legal evidence, the legal side. Anyone here ever been on a jury? They tell you one of the things, don't let your emotions get over. Just look at the facts. Just look at the facts. And when you look at the facts and forget your emotions, how you feel, I look at the facts and I say, this really did happen. And over 500 people saw it. I'm frustrated because we saw it on national television. I won't tell you what case this one is. But most of us saw it this past summer. And yet they deny the whole thing. I want to put the guy in jail and give him the hot seat. That's a court of public opinion. But reality would happen. We need to look at all the facts. When we look at the facts here, hey, we got eight reasons we just saw here why he rose from the grave. Verse 13, it says, if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. If there was no such thing as a resurrection, then Christ never rose. And then number two, the second reason over here, if Christ be not risen, then our preaching is in vain. For instance, all these churches for the past 2,000 years, it's all a bunch of fake and phony and a bunch of money grabber people like some people want to pretend it to be. No, that's not true. But see, people want to just sweep away and say the resurrection didn't happen. Then they want to call these churches a bunch of money grabbers, a social club. Oh, if there's no resurrection, then our preaching is in vain. But friends, the preaching is not in vain. And I can tell you, it's the preaching of the Word of God that got me down the aisle to give my heart to Jesus Christ. And same with all of us here this morning. Yeah, it's not in vain. And then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also was in vain. No, your faith is not in vain. Your faith changed your life. It gave you a sense of purpose and meaning in life. If there was no resurrection, then your faith is in vain, it says here. Number four, verse 15. Yet yea, we are found false witnesses. In other words, if there was no resurrection, we are all a bunch of phonies telling other people that Christ rose. And all the people who have been saying this for over 2,000 years that Christ rose are all a bunch of phonies and fakes. I've seen a few phonies on television. A few fakes out there on a certain network, too. But you take 2,000 years of human beings who've accepted this resurrection and tell them they're all wrong, and discarding all the evidences out there, and examining all the theories that people try to say the resurrection didn't happen. No, I can't accept that we're all wrong for 2,000 years. Yeah. Number five, if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised. So if Christ rose from the grave, then we also have hope that we too shall rise one of these days to rule and reign with him forever and ever. Friends, the grave is not the end. The grave is where this shell goes, but my spirit shall live forever and ever. Amen. Number six here, why? If Christ be not raised, your faith is in vain. You are yet in your sins. If Christ is not raised, then we're all still sinners. We're all going to die in our sin. And we'll pay the penalty for sin. And all of us are going to end up in hell and burn forever and ever if Christ didn't rise. People, they want to accept that rather than say, hey, even though all the evidences of 500 people there saw. Even one says, let me put my hand in the side and see if it's really there. Yeah. And you're going to think a man who was beaten beyond recognition, carried out, wrapped up in grave clothes, You want me to believe he was able to walk eight miles after going through that and pushed a four-ton stone away? No. Four tons, that's 8,000 pounds. Try to move 8,000 pounds. It's just not going to happen. Number six, then if Christ be not raised, your faith is in vain. You are yet in your sins. If Christ didn't rise, we are still going to face the penalty for our sin. No, but if I read throughout the Old Testament, there's gonna come a Savior who will pay the price for our sin, that we shall rule and reign with Him someday. But if He didn't rise from the grave, then we're still gonna pay that penalty of sin. Number seven, verse 18, then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. In other words, everyone who's died for the past couple of thousand years, He just died like a dead cat on the side of the road, you know. Nothing. No, God made the human race as the apple of his eye. He sent his only begotten son for us to die for us, and he rose again so you and I may have a life eternal with him someday. Number eight, if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are all men most visible. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are all men most miserable. Friends, we are not miserable because Jesus Christ rose. We have a hope for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. When he lived, when he rose up from that grave, he authenticated all the prophecies in the Old Testament and fulfilled them in the New Testament. And if none of that's true, then we're all here on a circus ride. And if we want to believe that, then I can also say, you don't exist. I had a guy say to me at one time. I was talking to him on the street corner. And he used to get out of my way. And I said, I just want to tell you about the gospel. And he said, sir, you don't exist. You don't exist. Now, did you get what he's saying? He's telling me I don't exist. But I exist right there because he said, you don't exist. Who's he saying, I don't exist? That's the same kind of logic some people have out there about the resurrection. You don't exist. It didn't happen. That's just as bad as that philosophy professor at USC said to me, you don't exist when I'm trying to witness to. You're just something in my imagination. Get out of my mind. I said, let me poke you with a pin and see if I still exist. Yeah. That's how people are. You avoid, you ignore all the evidence, throw everything else that would be acceptable in court, and say, this never happened. That's about as much sense as that philosophy professor, when I wanted to poke him with my pen, my fountain pen, I was going to poke him with it, and he said, you don't exist. Then he'll say, quit poking me. Well, if I don't exist, so if I'm poking you, how can you say quit poking me if I don't exist? You see how ridiculous some people's thinking gets when they ignore all the court of the evidence out there. Friends, Christ arose. And because Christ arose, one of these days, we too shall arise. And there will be a judgment seat for those. He lives in my heart today, and he can live in your heart today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10, verse 9 and 10, thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in the heart that God hath what? Raised him from the dead. Well, I believe in God. But do you believe that Jesus Christ rose? Because there is an evidence there that you're truly a born again. Romans 10, let me say that again, Romans 10, 9 and 10, it says, if thou shalt believe, thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him, Jesus, him from the grave. He raised him from the dead. You have a faith that's in vain if you have no resurrection. You might as well believe those Swoon theories or other theories that deny the whole thing and forget what the courts would have accepted in any courtroom when more than 500 people saw it. Our Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4.14, knowing that He raised up the Lord Jesus, He shall raise us up also. Because Christ arose, we shall rise. Or if we believe that Jesus Christ did not rise, rise again, even though we are asleep or we're over there believing some lies out there. If you accept the world's public opinion who's trying to excuse their responsibility to the facts that did happen, they're only trying to excuse it because someday they will have to face the judgment seat. You can lie to yourself all day long about something, but it doesn't change the truth. And you can listen to the lies of the court of a public opinion. How about listening to the truth of the word of God? A virgin-born son that came from the line of Mary and the line of Joseph, how could you plan that through thousands of years of generations coming down and plan that and have a child born in a manger? It was the Messiah. And that Messiah gave his life for Jesus Christ. It's not a fairy tale story. It's all throughout history. It's the history of the human race. If you want to deny that, then enjoy the judgment seat of Christ. Because someday, someday, if no one ever died for your sins and no one ever rose again, what is your ticket to get out of hell? I don't believe there's a hell. You can deny everything you want, but someday you'll find the truth will come haunt you. I've had people say, well, I don't believe that. Well, I'm sorry you don't believe that. One of these days you will. And one of these days you'll say, I wish I listened to the court of the evidence out there. I wish I'd listened to the legal reasons. I wish I didn't listen to all the logical reasons out there why they say it didn't happen. And some people believe all those illogical, logical reasons. And friends, I just wish I'd listened more to the word of God. This morning, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, you don't know for sure you're going to heaven. This is the day you need to make sure. Just listen to the legal answers out there. The legal answers are also logical answers. I'm not asking you to believe something that's illogical. It's logical, and it's legal. And then when you believe the logical answers and the legal answers, you'll come up with a loud answer for yourself that Jesus Christ died for me, and he rose again the third day. That's far as I pray. Thank you, Lord, for giving us this message today, and thank you, Lord, for helping our hearts and minds to be attuned to the truth of the word of God. Lord, someone here today may not have trusted you as their Savior in the past. They have avoided all the legal evidence, the logical evidence, just to make themselves feel comfortable in their own sin. Lord, I can't help but think that somebody is listening today who knows that the legal evidence is there. The logical evidence is all there. Lord, help us. Help us to turn to you. not just to those who want to excuse it and make up some excuse, but Lord, help us just to listen to the truth of the Word of God and the prophecies of the Old Testament fulfilled in the New Testament. The prophecies are there. And then it was seen by more than 500 people. Oh, God, I pray you would help us, our hearts, to just surrender our all to you. In Jesus' name, amen. Let's stand together and turn to page number 252.
