Welcome to Bible Believers Fellowship
and the ministry of bbfohio.com and the conclusion of our study
of Revelation chapter 20 verses 7 through 10 titled, The Last
Rebellion. This is part 2 of 2. And even
in the millennium that's coming this time, it's going to be amazing
and I've just sat and thought about it. What it's going to
be like to see billions of people surrounding us. in that city,
and just looking over at Jesus, you people are stupid. You are
about to get it. That's what we're going to be
thinking. What a bunch of fools. No different from fools today
that you preach the gospel to and say, hey, you just repent
toward God with faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ, how that
Christ died for your sins according to the scriptures, and that He
was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
You can be saved. It's a free gift. You can't buy
it. You can't do anything for it. That's all there is to it,
and they'll reject it. We really cannot imagine what
the scene will look like. This is actually from a video
game. And it's just... I saw the screenshot. I thought, you know, whenever
Jesus speaks, read that. And fire came down from God out
of heaven and devoured them all. I added the word all there, I'm
sorry. Period. Devoured them, period. But it's going to devour
them all. None will survive. No survivors. The darkest day Earth has seen
in a thousand years. The last time they'd seen something
like this was when Jesus returned and destroyed the Antichrist,
the false prophet, destroyed the New World Order, knocked
out the Mark of the Beast in the United Nations and all that.
And for a thousand years, peace, love, joy, and Satan's loose,
and all these wonderful people Catch what I'm saying here. These
people who have just surrounded the holy city to try to kill
Jesus Christ, they were all smiling, happy people. Smiling, happy people. Just goes to show you, these
people that you have in your lives, friends and family, co-workers,
whatever, you don't know their hearts. You don't know the depths
of the wickedness of man. And those who reject Jesus Christ,
sometimes they'll fool us. And now they will say, it's just
a shame they don't get saved. They seem like such good people.
They're no different from these people. And we're gonna see it. Judgment
Day. And this brings us to the culmination
of God's plan of the ages. The old fallen world ends. The end of the world as we know
it. I say that because a lot of times
people get nitpicky on the King James. They say, well, it's not
really the end of the world, it's the end of the age. It's
both. It's the end of an age, but it's also the end of the
world as we know it. Heaven and earth shall pass away,
but my word shall not pass away. Jesus said that. What did he
mean? He's talking about what we're looking at. He's prophesying
that there's come a time When everything is going to be destroyed
that we see, and there's going to be a new heaven and a new
earth. Heaven and earth will pass away, but that book will not pass away. This is the beginning of the
new beginning. The eighth day. Amen? The new world. Psalm 102, 25
and 26 says, Of old hast thou laid the foundations of the earth.
Old. And the heavens are the work
of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt
endure. Yea, all of them shall wax old
like a garment. As a vesture shalt thou change
them, and they shall be changed. Psalmist is prophesying about
what we're reading in Revelation 20. This is literally a complete
meltdown. And if you're like me, I love
to study, even though you have to kind of weed out all that
nonsense, the Darwinianism and all that, I love to study things
like astronomy, chemistry, and all those sorts of things. And
you find out that everything's held together by things we don't
even understand. And it's like a switch that God's
going to flick. And if you're not one of His,
you melt. Everybody there is going to melt.
Everybody surrounding the holy city is going to melt. Their
bodies dissolved. Everything. 2 Peter 3.10, read
that. You and I are all made of chemical
elements. Everything, what you're sitting
on, what you see on the walls, the ceiling above you, the car
you drove in, the clothes you wear, the food you eat, everything
is made up of elements. And those elements shall melt
your skin, your bones, your hair, your clothes, your house, your
car, your city, your state, your nation, your planet. will melt
unless you belong to Jesus. They will melt with fervent heat. We talk about the sun. Have you
ever studied the sun? It's like a nuclear fusion going
on. Is it fusion or fission? Fusion. Going on in the center of that
thing. Heat that you can't even imagine. This is hotter. Because
in the sun it actually produces elements. This is going to cause
them just to melt. And with that in mind, we are
asked this question. This is the amazing thing. We're
talking about end times prophecy, the last day, the Lord's day,
everything melting, and then right at the beginning of that
text, if you look, 2 Peter 3.11 says, seeing then, this is the
end of the text I should say, seeing then, after he tells us
all this incredible information about how the world's going to
end, seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved. What
manner of persons ought ye to be in a holy conversation and
godliness? Isn't that amazing? Train of
thought, thinking about the end of the world, the heavens and
the earth and everything's going to melt. This huge end of everything. Seeing then that all these things
shall be dissolved. And I love it. I say it again.
Some of you have heard this before. I'll say it again over and over.
But when bad things happen, and you're challenged, and let's
say you're going to lose your house, you're going to lose your
car, something's going to be taken away, you have to move,
anything like that. And Jenny says, it's all going
to burn anyway. Like, amen. Amen. Why are you getting all
upset about that stuff? It's all gonna burn. Read this with me, verse 12.
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Isn't that amazing? I just think it's amazing stuff. And the devil that deceived them
was cast into the lake of fire, where the beast and the false
prophet are, remember? And shall be tormented, day and
night, forever and ever. God never intended for anyone
else to join them there, did you know that? What we're reading about, Satan,
the false prophet, the beast, in hell, in the lake of fire
for eternity, forever and ever, their torment, the smoke of their
torment, their sins, forever and ever. Matthew 25, 41, Jesus
said this, Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand,
Depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire. Who is it prepared
for? Prepared for the devil and his
angels. It wasn't prepared for human beings. If a human being goes there,
again this slams Calvinism, it ought to say, prepare for the
devil and his angels and all the unelect. But instead he says it's prepare
for the devil and his angels. If you go to hell, you choose
to go there. Let that sink in. And if you're
saved, let that sink in about your loved ones. Because sometimes
when a Christian loses a loved one to hell, they do the insane
thing and get mad at God. God did not send that loved one
to hell. If you have a loved one that
died without Christ, and you're sure, pretty sure, that they're
in hell, don't get mad at God. God didn't send them there. They
chose to go there. Everyone in hell has chosen to
go there. And God is constantly reminding
us of this even in prophecy texts like 2 Peter 3 that we're reading.
We read about the fervent heat, the elements dissolving, and
He asks us, and how should you be living then, knowing this?
I hope that clicked in your mind. You'll take that with you. How
should you be living then when you know that none of this really
matters beyond what you're doing for His glory and to please Him?
2 Peter 3.9, before we jump into 10-12, you see this. The Lord is not slack concerning
His promise, as some in count slackness. But His longsuffering
to us, we're not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to repentance. So I want you, on your own time,
meditate on 2 Peter 3, beginning in verse 9 through 12. And you'll
see that God doesn't want anyone in hell except for the devil
and his angels. And He has given us the privilege
to preach the gospel to the lost. And He has told us ahead of time
that it's all going to dissolve and melt. And in light of that,
we should then reflect and say, how should we then live? How should we live then? In light
of what we know. You see what I'm saying? A lot
of Christians, they live like practical atheists. They live
like they think this is all there is to this life. It's a shame. But I just want to tell you this
as we close. Before we finish the chapter, we're going to take
time to look at the Millennial Kingdom in depth. We're going
to take at least a couple of weeks and look at our home, our
future home, what's in store for us. And I meant to delete
that, but we're going to do that study in Revelation 20. The millennial
kingdom. So I'd like to close with a word
of prayer and then somebody stick around you want to have some
Q&A we can do that. Father we thank you Lord for
this study and we just thank you for you've given us just
so much information. So much prophecy. So many people
who refuse to look at the proof of God in the Bible. You've proven
you exist. You've proven you're in control
with Bible prophecy. We see it coming to pass in front
of our eyes. We have seen the thousands of
examples where prophecy has already come true. And people still walk
away. Revealing John 3, 19. Men love
darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Lord, I
pray everyone in this room would take this seriously. Take it
home, think about it, pray about it. Really allow this to motivate
us. Some folks may need to make some
changes in their life. Some folks just need a little
encouragement to get back on track with their Bible study,
their prayer, the desire to get out the gospel tracks or do whatever
they can do to preach the gospel. Lord, we just pray that you move
hearts and use us, that Jesus might be glorified in whatever
time we have left, in Jesus' name, amen. Yes. Bang. Amen. Amen. It's on
the wrong end, the way it's taught in science classes. Yeah, Jennifer? Oh, I don't know,
the thought of, so beasts and false prophets, would they be
Satan's angels then, since they're ending up in? No. They are just
humans and they just have nice profound titles and that stuff?
Yeah. And you have to think about Isaiah
5.14 says, therefore, how have I marched yourself, and I'll
come out without measure, because, you know. Isaiah what? 5.14. Isaiah 5.14. How many of you noticed that? Isaiah 5.14 when it talks about,
we quoted here before, but I don't know if some of you might have
thought about it. Hell hath enlarged herself. Is that what it says?
Hell is a woman. Hey, I didn't write that book. I didn't write that book. Oh boy, yeah. Of course, like
I told Jenny, you were talking about the Big Bang and all that
they teach, that we've talked about this yesterday, because
I watch these things. I'm watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos,
you know, it's like 13 episodes, I think. I'm in number 8. I saw
it years ago, but I didn't remember anything, so I want to see it
again. And a lot of what they're teaching is true. It's a matter
of perspective. And then when it comes to things
like the Big Bang, I mean, I believe that there was a similar event. I just don't believe it was billions
and billions of years ago, as Carl Sagan says. I believe it
was, I believe in the gap, the genesis gap, so I don't believe
it was exactly 6,000 years ago. But I don't believe in the millions
and billions of years. I fall in between those two, what I
consider extreme views. But we were talking about, I
mean, there's a, they believe, and there's scientific reason,
and most Christian astronomers that I've talked to or read,
only talked to a couple in my lifetime, but they believe in
the center of these quasars, is a ball of mass that would
fit in your hand, but it's so heavy and dense that it, you
know, I'd have to be Superman to hold it. But if I were able
to hold the thing, as soon as I let go of it, it would puncture
and go all the way through the planet and come out the other
side like we saw on the bottomless pit thing. And in China, it would
pop up and then go back down. But it would pop out and it would
be slightly off and it would puncture another hole. And they
say that the weight of that is so dense and heavy that it would
do that more than 100,000 times before it finally stopped. And
it would leave our planet looking like Swiss cheese. Okay? It does, but because of the weight
and everything, it only slows it down a certain amount. It
takes that many times before it finally slows it down enough.
Now, what I'm saying is, I believe that because there's science
behind it. But, I believe that we have that kind of a wonderful
God. He's created this world that
is beyond our comprehension. And so when you study these things,
what it ought to do is make you stand in awe of God. But instead,
in our generation, they try to find reasons to use that against
God. And it's the insanity of the
age. Yeah, why does God let Satan
out after a thousand years? Yeah, and you and I were talking,
and you said that God said that he would, and he keeps his word.
Yeah, and that was what I was insinuating, and I didn't say
that in those plain terms, but in God's purpose. If God says
he's going to do something, he's going to do it, so... He said
he did it, he was going to do it, and if he doesn't do it,
then it's not true to his word. He's going to do it because he
says it. Yeah, God's Word, if there's one thing you ought to
learn, is that when God says something, He does it. That's
why we have the faith and the joy that we have in our salvation,
because we know it's a sure thing. Yeah, Charlie? What kind of being is Satan?
We believe that he is the highest cherub. Well, we know that. Ezekiel
28. Ezekiel 28, and then of course
Isaiah 14 lends some additional information to that. He was the
highest of all creation. the most beautiful of his creation,
a cherub. And we know something about what
he originally appeared like because they carved the cherubim on the
ark in the Tabernacle and Temple. And those are described and they
had wings. Yes. So that's why technically Satan's
not an angel. He's an angelic being called
a cherub. Well, that's... Conjecture. Conjecture,
yeah. Because there's some who claim
there are five for some reason. I don't know. There are... The only three angels
named in the Bible are Satan, or Lucifer, who became Satan,
Michael, and Gabriel. And only one is called an archangel,
and that's Michael. Gabriel is never called an archangel,
and people have taught that, but there's no biblical basis
for teaching that. Satan was called a cherub, but
it refers to there being many. And I don't think there's just
three, because it's cherubs plural. And he was the highest of them.
Satan was at one time. And there's two, though, that
are over the throne of God. And that's what the mercy seat
is a picture of. And so we know some things about
them, but there's also these angels, or I should say, there's
angelic creatures called seraphim. And so you have the cherubim,
the seraphim, you have an archangel named Michael, and then you have
Gabriel who's an angel, never called anything other than an
angel, but then you have other angels. Many, many that we don't
know how many. There's those creatures, there's
the stork, There's an angelic being with stork wings. That's
in Zechariah. And then if you go into, we've
already studied in the book of Revelation, you have the 24 elders
and they're not represented as human beings. And then you have
other creatures described in the book of Revelation that are
not matching up with the other ones we've seen in the previous
65 books of the Bible. And you just think about it.
God didn't just create one or two things before He created
everything we've seen. I mean, we don't have any idea
before the creation of what we see. He's been around for eternity. We're going to learn a whole
lot, I mean it's just going to be amazing. Yeah, Jill? Yeah,
in Ezekiel 28 he's described as having music within him. Yeah,
absolutely. One of the things that, throughout
human history, Satan has used is music. When you study other
religions, it's usually, it's not always what we would call
music, but voodoo. The animism in Africa, which
goes back to the time of Ham, and all the way through Bible
history up to Noah's time, they used, it's a musical religion,
voodoo. It's very weird and all that. Then you look over into the European
nations, and there was a lot of chanting. It was described
in writings what they did, and it would have a lot of groaning
sound to it. And you'll still hear it in Eastern
Christian religions as well as just Eastern religions. It's
still there in the Celtic, the Druidism, and these other what
we would call kind of occult religions. They all have a form
of music. And in Islam, I've talked about
how they don't have hymn books because they don't have anything
to sing about. But they do have music. It just sounds like someone's
dying to me. Five o'clock prayer. Okay. Glad to hear no one's dying.
You know, it's what, to me, I mean, what was it? Native Americans. I have a little bit of Cherokee,
not sure how much, but I'm fascinated with that. And I can do a real
good. See? And every religion you go
around and study, there's this form of music and it's, but compare
that to, I don't think it's just being biased. Our music sounds
happy. Standing on the promises of..."
You know, could you see these guys singing that? I mean, these
other religions, they just look, they sound like they're dying,
they look like they're dying. We're all, you know, now some of you
don't look so happy, you're like, "...standing on the promises
of a great white king..." You know, but you should be happy,
and the lyrics are happy. Amen? And so that's kind of,
you can tell the difference, but that's something that's always
fascinated me about rock and roll music. When When I was a
kid and I first started hearing rock & roll music, The Beatles,
Led Zeppelin, all this stuff that was around before I was
even born, some of it, I thought, it just sounds dreary, you know? The Beatles music. And then the
music, it's like, it just doesn't sound happy. And you know, I mean some of the music, like
you go back to the Elvis stuff and some of that Buddy Holly
stuff, you know, Peggy Sue, Peggy Sue, Peggy, Peggy, Peggy, Peggy
Sue, you know, it's kind of happy. But the more, when the drugs
went in, the drugs started showing up in rock and roll music. It
just lost its happy sound. And it started sounding real
dreary and everything. Led Zeppelin, you know, the first
time I heard Stairway to Heaven. And that was such a popular song
with the old people, you know. I'm like, what? You know, and
I listen to it and it's just kind of creepy. And it's not
that you can judge music solely on that, but there's something
to be said about that. And you better remember what Jill said.
You listen to music. You need to understand there's
God's music, and there's Satan's music, and there's this false
idea that there's a middle neutral. And there isn't. Dave? Years ago, when I was young,
a missionary came back from Belize and his family. And when they
first went, the kids had music from here in the United States. And then when they went, they
were playing it, and the people yeah yeah yeah there's been a
lot of stories about American missionaries taking so-called
Christian contemporary music and trying to sing it over there
and the people being repulsed by it because they recognize
the similarity to what they used in their pagan religion have a Jesus loves even me. Though I forget Him and wander
away, still He doth love me wherever I stray. And to His dear love
belongs what I cling, when I remember that Jesus loves me. I'm so glad
that Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves
me. Jesus loves even me. Oh, and there's only one song
I can sing. When in his family I see the
great King. This shall my song in eternity
be. Oh, what a wonder that Jesus
loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves
me. Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves
me, Jesus loves even me.
