and may we receive the word of God with joy today. Well, John, you come now, brother. 20 minutes, but I, Brother Herb encouraged me. He said, there's a preacher down there. Well, I do it in my own church. I use it. But I didn't want to distract anybody, see. When they look at it and see this here, they just kind of, they look at that more than they hear the word. And so, I hope you're not that way. So I trust you now. But I'm glad. It's good to be here again. I'm glad that the Lord allowed us to come together. I've been blessed, brother Sam. I've been blessed in coming and meeting together even with your people and our people. That's a blessing. I get to see Christians in the Lord. And I had another sermon this morning. I think because I'm thinking that we'll save folks here. I know that's out of a situation like this. I get to y'all. I want to encourage these things in these last days. To look unto the author and to finish by faith. To gaze upon him, because he's the one that's strengthening us through these things. We've got to put faith in him. And so, there's gonna be some terrible things happening these days. We ain't see it. It's gonna mingle with us worse and worse. Sin's gonna bound more and more. We better know who's in control. And Lord and assured of our hearts that we might live for him. As he lived through us, you know. Work out your own salvation. And we need that help. So I'm gonna kind of go back to where we stopped off this morning. If you don't mind. I just want to kind of pick up and go on a little bit. This is about a two-year study preaching that I preached at our church. About two years, I just stuck out on God because a lot of folks don't know Him and they think they know Him. And by the time we got through, we seen people get saved and saints get strengthened. And I hope that's what's happening this morning. I'm going to ask their brother Deacon back there to pray for me. Will you pray for me, Deacon, as we open the prayer? Our gracious Heavenly Father, we do thank you for the support you have given to us in order to walk together in this place and pray for us. We thank you Lord. Yes Lord. Yes. Yes, Lord. Thank you. Yes, please, Lord. Amen. In the beginning, God. Brother, I'm not a scholar, but I want to ask somebody something. When that beginning is, was it the time when he created the angels? Or is it the beginning when he... So I just mixed them together. And I say in the beginning, but I know everything. So it covers everything. So you have to stay with me on that. And I know there's certain contents of the Bible. He talks about a beginning and then the beginning of the end. You know, time and all that. I know that. So in the beginning, God. I takes it back where it was nothing but God. Now, there are many people who know not the God of this Bible. Now, they talk about God, but they don't know the God of the Scriptures. They don't know the true and living God. Jesus met a woman one time. Turn over here, let me show you. In John, chapter 4, Jesus met a woman. who thought that she was worshipping God. Her fathers did, and they all did. In John chapter 4, look at verse 19. Now this is where most people are at today. John chapter 4, verse 19. I'm just going to read a few verses. I leave out a lot, but just total in verse 19. The woman said unto him, Sir, I receive that thou art a prophet. You said a lot of things. I think you must be a preacher. You said a lot of things. You said a lot of prophecies. And you talk like one of them. She said, our fathers worshiped in this mountain. She goes on explaining what their worship was like and where they would do it. And he said, in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus said unto her, woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall Neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. You get what he's saying there? Look what verse 22 said though. Ye worship ye know, not what? That's what most church members are at. They're worshiping, but they don't know what they're worshiping. But who they're worshiping. But he says in another verse, we know. Well, like some of us, we know whom we worship. For salvation is of the Lord. And the hour coming, and now is, when the true worshiper shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. People are worshiping, But they know not. That's dangerous. To worship, to bow down, and give your allegiance to something you know nothing about. It's a dangerous place to be. This woman was in a dangerous place. I'm going to tell you one reason she was in a dangerous place. She was worshiping and singing. Had five husbands. Shacked up with a man. Who was not a husband. There are those who are living in sin. Begging and worshipping God. Coming to church on a Sunday morning. Just come out to the bar. Or just doing some sin that they love. You name it. Whatever you did. Now they sitting in church. Claiming to be worshiping God. You can't worship God in sin. But that's what they're doing in the churches today. I tell people to have a church. To have this woman and man come to church. It's just like they came out of a nightclub somewhere. A shame. You can't look at him with a straight face. Worshiping God. Paul was talking to some people like that. Look at an ex. An ex-seventeen. I mean, he was a little bit higher educated than this woman here was. Highly elected, you know what I mean? Ex-seventeen. Worshiping what they knew not. Look at verse 18. certain philosophers of the Ecubraean library, Hannah Stewart, encountered him. And some said, what would this Babylon say? What would this crazy man talk about? What would this fool talk about? Let's go see what he's talking about. Others said, he seemed to be setting forth a strange god philogy, because he preached unto them Jesus and the resurrection. To them, it's just another guy. They're just wondering, what is it? Where he come from? Let's find out. Curiosity. Most people go to church for curiosity. I'm looking for a church. You ever heard some people say that? Looking for a church? Here, boy, right here. What you talking about? They ain't looking for a church. And it took him, and it brought him to, how do you pronounce that? Yes, there you go. Thank you, Preacher. May we know what this new doctrine, well, thou speakest it. For I bring strange things to our ears. Who would know, therefore, what these things mean? For all these things, and strangers, what they did was spend their time and nothing else for you to tell or to hear something new. Then Paul stood up in the midst of Maltheel and said, ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are superstitious. You're just religious. You're just full of religion. You're too superstitious. He said this here, for as I was passed by and beheld your devotion, I saw how y'all was worshiping. He said, I found an altar with the inscription to unknown God. Worshiping what they know not. They put something there just in case they missed somebody. They were telling me we used to have missionaries that was coming back from the mission field. They was telling us how many they warned the Lord and all this stuff. Got back word again. Those people just set that Jesus up on their shelf with the other gods. They were never converted. They were never saved. They just thought, well, this is good. We just put him right there with the rest of them. With Buddha, whoever they worshiping, they just added Jesus to it. That's how most church goals are. They just add one more of their gods. to the list they already have. My soul. But anyway, to the unknown God, he said this here, in whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare unto you. He going to tell them who he is. God, that made the worlds and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of the heavens and earth, dwelling not in temples made with hands. Neither is to worship with man's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he is giver to all life and breath and all things, and hath made of one blood all nations of men, for to dwell on the earth, on the face of the earth and hath determined the time before appointed and the balance of their habitation that they should seek the Lord if haply they may feel unto him and find him so he be not far from every one of us for in him is God who they will worship in England for in him we live we move have our being as certain of your own poets have said, but we also of his offspring. It's in him, this God, whom you initially worship him. He's the one that hold us. He's the one that created all things. He's the one that all worshipers do. We know, when you think about it now, we know the lost man. I lost one. We know that they know nothing about God. I mean, that's that with them. That's what they do. They know nothing about God. Not the God of the Bible. But what's saddened my whole church is those believers that I meet who know so little about their God. As the scripture says, my people are killed all the day long for a lack of knowledge. We find ourselves in difficult situations. We find ourselves acting in manners that we ought not. We find ourselves doing things because we know so little about God. God is holy. He is righteous altogether. But we find ourselves being unrighteous. We find ourselves doing the opposite because we know so little about God. And we get into trouble. Church, it's sad in my heart. God has given us His Word. He's given us Holy Spirit. We are not like anything about our God. We ought to know we got the Spirit of God. We got Him working in our lives and bringing us to the point. We ought to know more about God than we do. But because of our laziness in our flesh, we cater to it more than we cater to the things of God. We spend more time in newspapers and things of that sort, which can't help us spiritually at all. Man is no closer to God. We're spinning our wheels in the muds of this world. We still live life. And God is laid before us in His glory, for His glory. We who name the name of Jesus, we know so little about the greatness of our God. You can see it in our lives. Watch the average Christian. We're not living for Jesus 24-24. Most of us don't. We go on vacations from God more than we ought to. We just start reading about it and we just start doing it and we just move off God. We just forget about it for a while and do our own thing. That's dangerous too. For that reason we have no peace. We up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down. We don't have no peace in our heart. We worry and stress about everything. We have no real joy, deep, abiding joy. Anything can make us upset and take away the happiness. Jesus said, my joy, I give it to you. My peace, I give it to you. No, but we're not experiencing that in the midst of our troubles and things, huh? Because we know not God and not. I'm trying to encourage this here. That's all I'm trying to do. We're filled with fears. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. You know what? Because of this economy and stuff we're going through, the average Christian, or they call themselves Christians, I'm not going to beat down on them, of course. But then when they think the end of the world is coming, they start stocking up. You heard that crowd buying all these goods, digging holes in the earth like they're going to get away from some judgment. They're doing things, friend. It's, it's, it's, look, I mean, I don't know. But that's what they're doing. They know not God. They're fearful of tomorrow. And I'm getting like this, you're getting like this, but there's time in God we have to grace us, church, about tomorrow. One of the things I found out when I had this real bad fear struck my heart so bad. I was thinking, what's going to happen to my dear wife? What's going to happen to my grandchildren? I was fearful. Not for myself as much. I guess I was after pride. But I was fearful for that reason. And God said, who been taking care of you and her all this time? What I'm worried about and threatened about? Huh? He had to calm my fears when I started looking at the scriptures. He has to bring to light who he is. We have very little faith in the word of God. We got trouble. All that he promised to do for us, it's not working because we don't believe God. We can't believe God. We don't know how great he is to do things for us. We doubt his power to help us in trouble. In tough times, we're gonna look for friends to help us. Will you lend me this? Will you lend me that? Will you go with me? Will you help me with this? Will you help me with that? We don't go to the rest of the guys. We don't trust them for them problems like that. We find our friends and family to help us. We got his power in delivering us from those things. We got to work it out ourselves. We live as those who know not God. We live just like the heathen. I don't have to condemn us. Look at our own lives. We have to examine our own self. How are you living? How are you walking with God? I'm not going to condemn you. But you need to examine yourself. See how you walkin' with this great God? If you're trustin' Him. You see, we're like those disciples. Look at Luke, look at Luke. We're like those disciples over here in Luke. When our Lord was toldin' what they were gonna do. Luke chapter eight. We're like these disciples here. We can identify with them. In Luke chapter eight, look at verse 22. Now I want you to notice some words in here. Now it came to pass on a certain day that he went into a ship with his disciples. And he said unto them, let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And he lost time. Let us go over. Now he told them they're going to get there. In other words, what are you saying? We're going over to the other side of the lake. Now you would think they would believe him. You would think, well, let's just lay down there. He said, we're going to make it. Let's go about our business, what we're doing. But as they sailed, he fell asleep. And there came down a storm of wind on the lake. And it was filled with water. and were in jeopardy. And they came to him and awoke him saying, master, master, we perished. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and they ceased. And there was a calm. The power of Jesus Christ. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid, wondering, saying one to another, What manner of man is this? For he commanded even the wind and the water, and they obeyed him. We don't know how great our God is. We don't take Him at His word. We have no faith in it. We put more trust in ourselves than we do God's Word. Friend, we and you and I be in trouble if we didn't have this blessed book. Amen. We can believe it and trust it and live by it. Yes. Huh? Because we know the art of it. Amen. And we know how great he really is. We can trust him for a church. You see, God, He's great. He needs no one to give him life. He's life himself. He's the giver of life. Our Lord told those Jews over there, in John chapter five, look at it. John chapter five. John chapter five, look at verse 24. He said, barely bear I tell you, he that hear my words, and believe it on him that sent me have everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life. Hallelujah. Amen. But I say unto you the hour has come and it now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live. Verse 26 For as the father hath life in himself Even so, the son has life in himself. He's the giver of life. He is life. I kind of rest assured in that, because there's a time in our life we don't think we're going to even have to be worried about this until we start dying. I don't know about you, but there's a time in my life, boy, I didn't think about that. I just ran. But when I got this illness, boy, I started putting things in perspective. But you haven't done that yet because you ain't got to get to that point yet and I don't want you worried about it yet. But your time could be tomorrow too. He not only give a life, he's a taker of it. We just don't know where we're going to go. So, but anyway, I just thought I'd put it out there. He is life himself. He is giving us life. abundantly we are trusted. God is to give us all life. Paul said that over there in Acts, remember? We read that. We read it in Genesis chapter 2. I want us to read this verse though. In Genesis chapter 2. Look what he did. You know the verse, but I want us to look at it. In Genesis chapter 2, and look at verse 7. And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. And man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden in the eastward of Edom, and there he put the man whom he had formed, God. As I said before, God was under no constraint. no obligation to create man. He just did so out of his own good pleasure. We reap the benefits to enjoy the precious spirit filling us and the working in our lives and the blessing we come and get. We experience all the benefits, but he had no obligation to met us at all. He needed No one to give life to. He didn't have to give life to anybody. But he did of his own sovereign will. I want you to keep that in mind. He chose to do so. It was purely a sovereign act on his part. Ephesians 1.5 said this, according to his good pleasure of his will. Ephesians 1.11. It's the counsel of his own will. So when God creates all we see, we create all that we don't see. He did it simply because he wanted to. I'm saying that to keep that in mind. You say you're saying it too much. Well, sometimes you might have a head like mine. Kind of hard. I take a jacket, I'm going to penetrate mine sometime. I hope that's not your case, but I just said it because I'm used to saying it. But He made man and created man for a reason. I'm going to tell you what I think it is. To manifest His glory. To make His glory known. And the only way He can do that is to create man and man see that glory. Man see who he really is. So I believe he created the glory and created man that he may manifest himself to them. That they may know, all these creatures may know how great he is. As the man said this morning to the son, and how much he loved us. And we found out how much now we love him because he loved us first. Oh my friend, he created us. Not because he needed us, but because we made it. He experienced his glory and power in our lives. The blessings that he has for us in Nehemiah. Now look at Psalms, first of all, Psalm 19. Psalm 19. Psalm 19. And look at verse 1. Psalm 19 verse 1. The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament show it, his handiwork. You might not agree with me on this here, but I like the way he says that. Have you ever seen a wood maker, a man who knows how to do wood carving? But when he ain't doing much, he's sitting around and just willin', ain't he? But he got a lot of them things to know there. And they all look nice. I mean, Smooth, he didn't just, he really ain't do no big work. He just ain't got nothing else to do. He done done his work, so he sitting there. I tell you how God did. The world and all that we see, it's just his handiwork. I mean, he ain't done a big deal to him. He didn't put the stars out there. He just does his handiwork. Something he do on, I just use my imagination on his extra time. Because he didn't need to. He didn't need us, he didn't need this world. He said, there's no speech. No, he said in verse two, day after day utter their speech, and night after night show it knowledge. It can be seen how great God is everywhere. There's no language. There's no speech, no language. Where there's a voice, it's not heard. Everybody know that there must be a God who created all of this. You can be a Japanese, you can be a Mexican, you can be a Russian, you can be an American, but you all know who created all of this. It speaks to you that there is a God. Hallelujah. He created all this to manifest itself to man. That's what we never know. We never know how great He really is. Therefore we know Him. We know His glorious name. He's exalted. For He is to be lifted up above all things else. When we see all this here, nobody in our life should be put above God. He's first in our life. He's foremost. Our obedience is to him and no one else. When he says something, we should obey him without any doubt. I used to tell my daughter when we was small, we used to play in the bed when we used to throw him up in there. You know how you do. And I used to put him up high and say, now jump. They didn't tell us. They just jumped off that thing into my arms. That's how we are with God. We just obey Him. We don't think about the danger. We don't think about the circumstances. He said jump, and we jump. Our faith and trust is in Him catching us. That's how we ought to be to others when we meet each other. That's how we ought to know God. Don't do good to us all the time. God is greater than all. We who know Him So bless His holy name and give Him exaltation. We should praise Him for who He is. Now, I gotta say this here too before I stop this here. Everything's gonna praise God. When we get to glory, over there in Revelation chapter 5, let's just look at that. Let's just look at that. going to praise God. He talks about Jesus when he said every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. We should give him praise. But look at Revelation chapter 5 and look at verse 8. And when he had taken the book The four beasts and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps and gold vials full of odor, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and open for seal the earth. For thou was slain and has redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred, and every tongue and every nation. God saved everybody by the same blood, by his blood, shed blood out of every nation and every tongue. He said, verse 11, verse 10, and made us unto God kings and priests and we shall reign on earth. and I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels, but it said round about the throne, and the beast, and the elves, we know who they are. And the number of them was 10,000 times, 10,000, and thousands of thousands, and look what they were saying. They were saying with a loud voice, worthy is the lamb that was slain. To receive power. and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessings. and every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and such are in the sea and all that are in them heard I say blessing and honor and glory and power unto him that sat upon the throne and unto the Lamb for ever and ever and the four beasts said amen and the four elders and four and twenty others fell down and worshiped to him that liveth forever and ever. We should, because of his greatness and because of all we see he does, we should even in the here and now bow our humble heads and worship this God. We come to church like we're doing him a fable. We come to church We give our little things like we helping them out. We don't come to church with a humble heart. We don't come to church in humility, recognizing who God is. We dress ourselves up to make ourselves look good, but we don't recognize who God is. We raise our wicked heads above the one who we try to worship. Huh? Old church went back to shape. It's no wonder. that we have no power in the church no more. It's no wonder! I'll tell people God has got Ichabod across the average church now. They don't want God! And you can be certain He don't want you. You're more cut down. He don't need you. Church, we have to recognize who we're serving. We gotta treat Him as such. Church, now listen to me. Although I believe that every born again saint, I believe this here, will worship Him and that we give Him praise. I also believe, listen to me real careful now, that God gets no gain. He get no gain from that. We ought to worship Him. We'll have to give him praise. Yes. But that don't make him no greater. He's already great. Amen. Yes. You don't bring him no more glory. He's already glorious. Get that straight. Huh? We don't make him... We don't bring him no gain. Huh? Nor do we worship him or praise him or add anything to his greatness. Huh? He don't preach. He don't. He needs not our worship. Oh no. Where we get that at? He need not our praise. Where we get that at? We just do it spontaneously because a whole year we know him. He don't need that. I understand sometimes I go into different churches. They got what they call a praise worship hour. A bunch of men. They got them girls dancing all up here in the same congregation. They call it a praise worship. Some Pentecostal myth. Baptists catching on to it now. I don't want to get off in there. He need not our worship. Nor do he need our praise. For God was great and glorious before He created even the first man. By the way, let me say this again. Have you ever even thought the way it was that moved or caused God to predestinate His elect? Have you ever thought about that? To the praise of His glory and grace, have you ever thought about that? He tells us why He did it. When He gave us grace, He chose us. He chose to save some of Adam's race. Not because they deserve it, no, no, no, no. Because He just wanted to display His greatness and glory to that particular group. So He chose them. Before He created the first man, look at it, look at it real quick. Ephesians chapter 1 look at verse 4 according as he had chosen us in him before when the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself to the good pleasure of his will to the praise of the glory of his grace. Huh? We're getting the picture. We ain't yet made us except in the beloved prophecy. It was according to the good pleasure of his will. He elected us because it pleased him to do so. That's all. God simply will to save sinners. That's all it was. Not that they deserve salvation. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. None of us do. Nor can we earn salvation. He didn't say it was because we earned it. Like many things. I talked to an old man one time. He said to me, God must saw something good in me. Oh, I said, you know what God saw in you? You didn't see nothing in you. He just chose to save you. We got a misideal about this thing. It's because He will save sinners. Look at Romans chapter 9 real quick. One of the most edited verses in the Bible is Romans chapter 9. Romans chapter 9, but I want to break in at verse 15. Romans chapter 9 verse 15. For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will. That tells me something about God. He's doing what he want to do. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. I will have compassion. We don't tell God who to love. He loves who he want to. And he hates who he want to. There's this evangelistic crowd going around. Preaching that God loves every sinner. I said, well how is that? What are the other sinners doing in hell then? You don't put nobody here you love. What they doing in hell then? God don't love every sinner. He has a right not to. And he's not doing it unjust. We deserve hell. It's only by his mercy that he chose us to heaven and to glory. You better mark that down. I don't know who it is, brother preacher, but I'm going at them all. Hold on, where they at? Right, that's right. But all of us ought to be working ourselves to the bone. Yes. Giving the gospel to every creature. Amen. That we meet. So the end is not him that will it, nor him that run it, but a God that shows mercy. Huh? But the scripture said, unto Pharaoh, even for this purpose, I have raised thee up, that I may show my power unto thee, indeed, and that my name shall be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore have mercy on him, he will have mercy, and on him will he hoard. Thou hast said unto him, Why doest he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will? He said, Now, man, who art thou? He replied against God. What you got to say about this matter? They've always said, well, God ain't like that. God love you. Well, wait a minute. You ain't got nothing to say. God choose to do something. That's Him. He's solving. And you and me ain't got nothing to say about it. Because all He does is just right. I don't want to go out and spread all that, but you know that anyway. Now, church, I know what I just said about this here. And I know some people that's trying to do, and it's kind of strange to most who claim to be saved, because they know nothing about it. They don't know nothing about the greatness of God, and he's doing his own thing. He's doing what he's going to do. They think they have to ask him, he's going to do what they say. No, no, no. So I know I'm in strange territory. So within a few minutes I got left, I moved very slowly by this subject right here. Let's look at the word of God again. Let's look at Romans chapter 11 with me. I'm going to quit. I don't know about you. Romans chapter 11 verse 34. Why don't you look at these few verses here. For who had known the mind of the Lord? Who had been his counsel? Who had first given to him? And it shall be recompensed unto him again. for of Him and through Him and to Him are all things to whom be glory forever. Amen. What were the scriptures? The scriptures want us to know something here. It is impossible. There's no way to bring the Almighty God under any obligation. There's no way that He owe us. He don't owe us nothing. He's under no obligation to the creature. He don't have to give him not even the food. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. He don't have to do that. It's all of mercy. He does what he does. It's all of grace. I tell you, I get so angry at these so-called Christians who think that they can tell God what to do and how to do, how to heal and how not to heal. They ain't got no faith in God. I just get so sick and tired of hearing that. Well, God's got an obligation to do something for us. All that God does for mankind is because of this marvelous grace. That's all we can expect out of God. God gives nothing from us. He gains nothing from us, what I'm trying to say. Let me show you why I quit. Look at that. I keep saying that, don't I? Look at Romans chapter 3. He gains nothing from us. What I'm trying to do, church, is get us low enough. But we have to look up. Stop looking even with God. We have to look up where our redemption is. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is coming from. We have to look up where our strength is He gains nothing from us. Romans chapter 3 verse 11. We don't bring him anything when we come to him or when he brings us to himself. Romans chapter 3 verse 11. Read these verses with me. It says, as it's written, there's none righteous, no, not one. There's none that understand it. There's none that seek it after God. That brings every creature upon the same thing. One said, I was looking for God. No, you wasn't. God declared you alive. You said death. No man seek it after God. No man come unto God. They all gone out of the way. They all together, what you see now, become unprofitable. There's none that do it good. No, not one. Church, sinner man, there's no profit to God. He don't profit from us. We profit from Him. Am I right or wrong? We bring nothing to Him. We add nothing to His glory. We add nothing to His greatness. And God gains nothing from us. will just tell us, huh, who's been graced by God. Yes. That He manifests Hisself, His love toward us, huh, that's all we are. And when we start seeing ourselves in that light, what a church service we have. When you and I begin to see God in His greatness, huh, what a life to be changed. What boldness we have. Not brash boldness, but the boldness to tell people about this God who we put our trust in. Who redeemed us from sin, death, and the grave. Brought us to himself. In his own time, in his own way. Isn't it wonderful to know that we still have opportunity to grow and to stretch our faith more? I find it so good now, since I know how many state I am. I pray more. I pray for my brothers more. I call to let them know that. I mean, God just give me... He impressed upon my heart to call to let them know that. I tell him, I want you to know I'm praying for you. It's nothing big deal. I mean, I'm not trying to get no profit out of it. He just impressed upon my heart. I know that God can answer prayer. And I'm not demanding he do it this way. He just told me to come and ask. And so when you learn that, you learn to pray more. You learn to meditate more on this God. You learn to trust him more for your family, for your home. You'll quit relying upon your ingenuity and rely upon his. Even though we don't understand it all, he's working in this province, working for the good, for his child. so we can have peace. Even in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, they don't know God. I hope you know him. I hope you know him. And I hope what I said this morning just will encourage you to go on for God. Go on living for him. We got the best opportunity right now in this world of sorrow. You and I can be a lift up to somebody. we can be a messenger with the gospel to somebody. And we just see how great our God is. So we just quit looking toward each other for the things that we think we need and look toward God and let him bless us as we bless him by our obedience. Preacher, you come. Amen. Amen. Thank you, brother. God bless you. Amen. We cannot lay any requirements on God, but we can and should beg Him for mercy. And He will show mercy. Jesus said, Whosoever shall come to Me, I will in no wise cast out. So let me just encourage you today, if you've not come to Christ and He's made you aware that you need to, this is your day and you're out. God will grant you repentance toward Him and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ if you cast yourself on Him. Well, thank you, John. God bless you for opening the Word to us. I'm going to have a prayer, and that will be a prayer for the offering we're about to receive. We'll start this basket around right here. And all that goes in the basket will be for Brother John. I love offering for him and Miss Brenda. So I ask you to give cheerfully and give generously as God moves you to do that. Alright, let's pray. Father in Heaven, we thank You for hearing Your Word today. Lord, we're reminded again of Your greatness and Your glory and Your power. Also of Your mercy and kindness that You do not willingly afflict the children of men, but You show great mercy through Your Son. We thank You for Brother John being faithful and for You giving him strength to preach to us. And we ask now that we would give, Lord, as You have blessed us, that we might return unto You for Your glory to help John and Brenda along their way, Lord, and to let them know that we support and are encouraged by His ministry. So bless this offering today, Lord, for Your glory and for John and Brenda's good, and we ask it all in Christ's name and for His sake. Amen. Alright, Josh, you come.
