Good. Look at people sitting
in the back row. You think you're gonna get away
from me? I'll come to you. Well, I've gotta be through by
noon, so I've gotta hurry here. When I speak, we don't go by
the clock, we go by the calendar. But I just, you know, when you
come to different situations like this, a lot of times, you
know, I just, you know, God, what can I say that'll make a
difference in your lives? And what can I do to encourage
you, to build you up, to challenge you and whatever? I just got
home from being in Portland this week. Had a wonderful ministry
with the, Portland Rescue Mission, all of the men and women that
work with the men and women in those two facilities, all their
leadership people came together so that I could teach some of
my seminar and challenge them in the whole area of evangelism. And this is what I bleed. I came
to Faith in Christ, Easter week, my first year in college. 64 years ago. And in fact, two weeks
ago on Easter, Easter's my favorite day of the year. I just celebrated
my 64th spiritual birthday. And it's just a glorious day.
I love Easter. I look at Easter and the only
thing that comes to my mind is come and see the empty tomb,
go and tell. Isn't that it? Well, I'm spending my whole life
getting people to go and tell. No sitting, rot in the pew, and
just take in until you're gagging on truth, but none of it's going
out. I'm not gonna let you get away
with that, okay? Now, I have an advantage over
most people, because I've been doing this for 22 years now. I just say what I'm gonna say,
and I just leave town. and let the pastor pick up the
pieces. I'd tell you all the things he'd
like to say, but he doesn't. I like to talk to old people,
because I'm one of them. I just hate people, so many older
people are just vegetating their way to glory. What a fun way
to live, isn't it? Oh man, alive, it's just, it's
an amazing thing. I can't get over it, but anyway,
I know this. God is always at work in our
lives. And have you ever noticed that
as we go through life, We're always at a different place.
We're always at a different level. We're always at a place where
if Satan wants to wipe us out, he's gonna work on us wherever
we are in our place in life. I mean, I've been facing things
that I haven't faced for a while. Now he's got a whole different
approach now. I can just see it. And I'm more
conscious of it, to be honest with you. Do you think he loves
what I do? You know, Satan hates what I
do. So that's another reason why
I know that the people that love me and pray for me, I honestly
believe that that's a reason why God has done and is doing
in my life what he's doing. Just a few weeks ago, I went
to the doctor and got a shot in the bottom. But I was sure
glad I did. You know why? Because I led the
nurse to Christ that gave me the shot. It was a, I mean, if
they're breathing, I'm talking to them, okay? And now she's
growing and it's a wonderful thing. And I came over to Coeur
d'Alene a few weeks ago to a luncheon that I had no business being
at. But anyway, somebody invited
me, you know, I'll do anything for food. I'll beg for food. Look at that breakfast this morning.
Oh, thank you, Jesus. I'm going home a happy man. And
you know, because it just, where I am in my life right now, it's
kind of an interesting thing. Two years ago, my wife lacked
some energy. So I talked her into going and
getting a checkup and just a simple checkup. And when I was there,
the doctor called me into the office and said, you better get
your house in order. I think your wife has only a
year to live. I about fell off my chair. Three weeks later, she died.
So I've been alone for two years now, two years this month. You
wonder why I'm thankful for breakfast? I've been eating a lot of Cheerios
and peanut butter sandwiches. But I'm in a whole new part of
my life right now. And God's not through with me,
don't kid yourself. And all the different people
that come in and out of my life. Okay, I hate to say this to you,
I know it just kills me to say it. I have a friend that owns
a beautiful condo in Maui, in Hawaii. And he and his wife go
January, February, and then every year they give me the month of
March. and leave their Cadillac there
for me to drive every day. Now, is that a friend? I nurture
that friendship. And your pastor wouldn't even
pray for me in March. He prayed for me in February,
and now it's April, so he's back praying for me again, but I know
he didn't pray for me in March. But you can laugh at this. Every
year, I've had an incredible ministry in Maui. and also over
in Honolulu area, speaking in churches, sharing Christ with
people every single day. That's what I love about being
over there. Nobody's in a hurry. Everybody's
got nothing but time. And I meet people every day. I shared Christ with three couples
from Germany, a couple from Argentina, a couple from Switzerland, a
bunch of Canadians. Man, I had more fun than eating
red ants, you know? It's just, but I'm telling you,
people are open. And so to me, my challenge to all
of you and the challenge for myself to keep going is to keep
at it, okay? And something that, this isn't
even in my notes. I don't know what time I've got.
So the first guy that gets up and leaves, I'll close in prayer,
okay? I just got a feeling I shouldn't have said that. I just got a
feeling I shouldn't have said that. But anyway, you know, where
was I? I don't remember where I was.
Where I was on all of this too. But you know what's awesome?
God's, I mean, look at me. In four months, I'm gonna be
84. I'm sniffing glory. Right? Man, I can see the finish
line at my age. But you know something? You know
what I love about 2 Corinthians chapter four? The outward man
is perishing, finish the verse, but the inward man is being renewed
day by day. I might be dying physically,
I can't play racquetball anymore, I played clear up until I was
75. I was beating guys in their 20s. Man, I love that game. Anyway,
there's a lot of things I'm not doing, you know, okay? When I think, you know, here
I am in my mid 80s. The time's running out. We're
not, I honestly believe for the church and Jesus Christ, we're
in a time period. I honestly believe this. We're
not in the fourth quarter. We're in sudden death overtime.
So we gotta just start talking to people. When was the last,
let me ask all of you, when was the last time you sat down at
lunch or breakfast or you were out there and you just walked
somebody through how you came to faith in Christ and asked
them if they'd like to make the same decision? When was the last
time you did that? See, that's what I train people
to do. Now, I don't know, if some of you need help with that,
I'll come back and help all of you that want help with that,
okay? And to me, there's nothing more
powerful than a man that's verbal in his communication about who
Christ is in his life. You know why this just fires
me up? I had lunch yesterday at my favorite
gourmet restaurant. a slice of pizza at Costco. And
I've got a Costco ministry now. Don't laugh at this. You know
this, don't you? I got a ministry everywhere I
am. I got a Costco ministry. I got people there I'm praying
for. I got new neighbors that I'm praying for, okay? I got
all these people in my life, all right? And it's just a great
way to live. But I just, Man, we've got, but
when I had lunch with my buddy yesterday, he said something
to me that just, oh, it just fired me up. He was over in Seattle
last week, and there was about six to eight couples that got
together. for some fellowship that they've
known each other over the years. And about once a year, they all
get together. So they were together. And while
they were together, it was about six or eight couples. This picture
says they were all together. And one of the wives, they were
all couples, and one of the wives brought up a question on the
Christian life and said, I'd like to have us talk about this.
And oh, here's, can you hear? Just picture, let's just say
eight couples. And here's eight ladies talking
about what this one woman brought up. And my friend that was with
me, she said, the men just sat there like zombies. None of them said one word in
all of this great conversation. And he said, when I got up and
left, he said, there was just a sadness that came over me. Well, does everybody that know
you know whose side you're on? Okay, and if we got the joy of
the Lord in our heart, tell your face. Man, a lot of Christians, their
face could be the cover of the book of Lamentations. Man alive,
I mean the greatest thing we've got going for us is the joy of
the Lord is our strength, Nehemiah 10, right? Nothing's more infectious
than a growing, happy, joyful Christian. Amen? Okay, well suck it up now. When you get out there, at least
God helped somebody to see a difference in my life today. You know what,
I can't get over the people that God brings into my life. And
I ask people to do that. Pray for me that God will bring
people into my life. He loves to answer that prayer.
I came over here to that silly, well, I shouldn't have said that,
but please tell me this isn't being on tape. Oh, now I'm in a freaking, I'm
gonna cut down all the things I was gonna say now. Anyway,
okay. So, where was I? Oh, this luncheon. Well, everybody
was talking at the luncheon about what they do. Two people were
realtors, and two people were this, and somebody was something
else. They were all talking about what they do, and then it gets
down to me. What do I do? I didn't know what
to tell them about what I do. Well, then I did. Give it out
a little bit. I said, you know, I travel for
22 years now. I pastored churches for almost
40 years. In the last 22 years, I've been
traveling around Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Arizona
in February. Isn't it amazing how God leads
me to Arizona in February and not in June, July, and August?
God's good, isn't he? Anyway, it's just an amazing
thing. But these two people came in
and sat down beside me. She was a single gal with three
kids, single mom, and the guy that was with her was training
her in a new job. So we were sitting there and
the lunch is over and she said, I'd like to talk to you. Okay,
you know, all right. And then after everybody was,
you know, mingling around and talking and I was just getting
ready to leave and she said, did you hear me? I said, I'd
like to talk to you. Boy, you know, some people aren't
that pushy. I said, oh, okay, I'll talk to
you, you know. She said, but I've got to go
get something fixed on my car. And I said, well, she was gonna
go over to Liberty Lake. You know where Liberty Lake is,
don't you? Between here and Spokane. That's where I live in Liberty
Lake now, okay? And now that I'm living alone
in my own little place, this is a whole new world for me,
let me tell you. And anyway, she said, I need
to get my car fixed over there. And I said, well, you're gonna
get your car fixed two minutes from where I live. And so I said,
why don't you just come over and we can sit and talk since
you're pushing me. So she came over, like I said,
and told me her story. Dropped out of high school, pregnant,
just made every wrong decision you can make. And I said, well,
thank you for telling me your story. I was raised in a single
parent family. My dad left us when my twin sister
and I were four years old. So I was raised in a single parent
family. Now I have a love for single
parents. You know why? Do you know why I have a love
for single parents? Because I was raised in a single
parent family. You think God brings single parents
into my life? That's right, he does, it's an
amazing thing. So anyway, I said, well now you've
told you your story, let me tell you my story. And I walked her
through how I came to faith in Christ in college, how I grew
up in a church. I had church and I had religion,
but I didn't have Jesus. And look at how many people fit
that category, right? Okay, so anyway, I'm about in
the middle of how I came to Christ and I looked over at her and
both tears coming down both sides of her face. She says, oh, I
need this. And I sat there and led her to
Christ. And now I gave her a bunch of stuff to help her get off
the launching pad in her faith. And now she's, you know, lives
about an hour from here. But it's just, God just brings
these different people into your life. It's just, it's an amazing
thing. But you know, I started doing
this. I can't remember how many years ago I started doing this.
Every day. I pray, Jesus, bring somebody
into my life that I can touch for you today. Then I added to
that. I said, Jesus, bring people into
my life where you're already at work, they just need to get
hooked up to somebody like one of us. Right? Right? They're gonna get hooked up to
one of you this week, maybe? Huh? Okay. Do you pray to that? Or do you just pray, oh God,
don't let me get, you know, don't let me have to say something,
you know. I heard this years ago and I've
never forgotten it. Most Christians are just like
rivers that flow into the North Pole, frozen at the mouth. Okay, so I'm challenging you
guys to get out there and to verbalize your faith and to start
making a difference because you know where the joy comes? You
know what the greatest joy in my life is? I love to preach,
I love to teach, I love to study, I love to do all of that. But
you know where the joy in my life comes? I know that God is
using me in people's lives, and month after month, I'm watching
people come to faith in Christ, and you don't think I'm happy?
Huh? I'm the happiest 84-year-old
man you'll ever meet, okay? And man, I'll tell you, I'm just
after it. I also read recently 87% of American
Christians are passive in their faith. Are you? The world is trying to shut us
up and intimidate us and eliminate our influence. So I'll tell you,
if we're ever living in a day where we're gonna rise up and
meet that challenge. Now that's just a few thoughts
that were on my mind, but now I'm gonna come to my message.
So everything I've said so far doesn't count on my time. So
what I would like to do, isn't it amazing some of the different
things that happen in your life and how God has used it in a
profound way in my life. Because I've never had this happen
to me ever before. I was in, okay, just don't throw
anything at me. I was in Hawaii, in Maui, sitting
up alone late, Now, I mean, not real late, but
just watching television late between 10 and 11, whatever it
was, and out of the clear blue sky, and I've never had anything
like this happen to me, right in the middle of a quote, unquote,
good program, somebody that ran the controls wherever they were
pushed the wrong button. And you guessed it. some unbelievable
trash came on for about a minute. And boy,
somebody, oh, you can imagine the calls they got on this. And
about a minute later, bam, it went back to the program and
whatever. So whatever happened, I don't know. But I certainly saw what I didn't
need to see. You know why I'm bringing that
up? Confession is good for the soul,
bad for the reputation, right? Okay. Confession time, okay? I have never seen a pornographic
movie or film. I've never seen one. I've never
even paged through a pornographic magazine, never. Not once. Just saying, aren't you impressed
on how godly I am? Let me finish before you answer
that, okay? See, no, I haven't. But I know what that one minute
did in my heart and mind. Let me ask you a question. How
much damage do you think can happen in one minute? You say,
well, one minute isn't very long. Okay, let's time it. You want
to wait one minute and think about all the crap. Oh, I'm sorry. All right, I don't
care. All the crap that you can see
in one minute. And man alive, I will never forget
that moment. Because I'll tell you, it did
two things. It did two things for me. I realized the unbelievable
damage that one minute did. And then you know what came over
me? The most incredible sense of
shame that I've ever experienced. Have any of you ever just, I
mean, really experienced what I basically call just shame? I hated that, I never want to
experience that again, that kind of shame. And I beg God for forgiveness
and repentance for even seeing one minute. But God has used that. since
then, because I think I have a little bit more of a heart
for, look at the men and boys and whatever, who are absolutely
destroying and poisoning their minds with pornography. I read an article on it recently.
The average age to get addicted to pornography is 11. 11 is the
average age. And then the article was also
talking about the average age for kids being sexually active
now is 13. When I was 13, I didn't even
know what a girl was. I was so busy playing ball. I
mean, look at how the times have changed. And man, do we have to help people
with that and challenge people with that? Now, in the light
of what I just told you, you don't have to turn to it, just
trust me by faith, all right, for a second here. All right.
Oh, I hate clocks. Isn't heaven gonna be awesome?
All right, now. I never dreamed that a verse
like this could have such a powerful effect on me. I'm gonna read
the verse ahead of time, and then I'll give you the verse.
So just hang on a second. All right, now, and to tell you
how all of this is hanging together. You remember the passage, but
you're a chosen people. You're a royal priesthood. You're
a holy nation. You are a people that belong
to God. That, why, the purpose clause,
that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of
darkness into his marvelous light. Question, has he called us out
of darkness into his marvelous light? Has he done that? And in the light of that, listen
to the next verse. Dear friends, I urge you, I beg
you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from
sinful desires that wage war against your soul. Stop right there. I urge you, a lot of times in
scripture, we don't pick up the passion in the writer, or when
Paul is writing, or in this case, 1 Peter, when Peter's, we can't
even pick up the passion that's driving him at this point. I
beg of you, I plead with you to abstain from sinful desires
that wage war against your soul. Now, so what that did to me,
after my experience that I just told you about, that waged war
against my soul, now I have to, ever since that time, go looking,
maybe you're looking at different magazines and waiting for your,
they're working on your car down at Toyota where I go, anyway. magazines, what you're watching
on television, and all of the different programs, and all of
us know if you're watching sometimes even a good program and then
all of a sudden getting ready for the juicy part, don't look
at me like that. You know it's coming, don't you? And how many things that wage
war against my soul. And dear God, I've got to deal
with that. Because it's never over. I went to my optometrist recently. Adorable little gal that works
in there. We've been friends for a long
time. She's just a sweetheart. She came out from under, you
know, back of the, when I came in, she ran around from behind
the desk where they sign people in. She ran over there, ran over
to me, threw her arms around me, just gave me a bear hug,
and pressed that adorable little body of hers right into me, put
her face next to mine, and she said, oh, you smell delicious. Now, when I drove away, Do you
know what I thought? No, you don't want to know. You
know what I thought, the biggest thing that hit me? Will this
battle ever be over? All right. So I am more cautious. I am more
aware of, I am more sensitive to anything. That wages war. I love that verse,
you guys. That wages war against my soul. Now I've got four grandkids that
are in college. Two of them just came over to
see me. I'm having a greater ministry with my grandkids than
I've ever had in my life before. This is an awesome thing, because
I can tell them what they need to hear. And you know what college
life, you don't and I don't either, but college life is pretty sick
with what those kids are hearing and what's available to them.
And they need some man in their life that's walking with God.
that can get next to them and say, this is what you need to
hear, this is what God's teaching me, and I want to encourage you. And I tell you, this has been
an awesome time for me with my grandkids. But I'll tell you
that 1 Peter 2, 11 is a verse I'll never forget the rest of
my life. Be careful of everything that
wages war against your soul. Now, here I got, all right, let
me do this. I'm just talking to myself for
a minute. Oh, here we go. All right, now
let me, oh. And let me read something from the Old Testament. Oh, by
the way, in my morning quiet time this year, I have a book
that kind of takes you through Old Testament, New Testament,
Old Testament, New Testament. I'm in the middle of Galatians
right now. But earlier in the year, my reading
and my study, and I study and read and then I write down the
highlights. The first 10 Proverbs, I studied that about February. When was the last time you read
through the first 10 Proverbs? When was the last time you read
chapters five, six, and seven? That'll rot your socks, won't
it, reading those three chapters? I mean, by the way, God has really
gripped my heart with how awesome Proverbs is and how many of the
Proverbs help us learn how to live, you know? Boy, I'll tell
you, we need to teach Proverbs to our kids. If you know of any
church looking for a youth pastor, would you give them my name?
I love high school and college kids. I'll never get over my
love for that age bracket. And I know it surprises you that
I still speak at youth groups. I love that. Man, the last time
I spoke at a high school group, some kids came up to me and said,
nobody's ever talked to us like that. I said, that's okay. Cause
you know that I know what you need to hear. And man, you're
going to get it. Cause somebody's got to teach
you this kind of truth. Okay, now let me read, I'm gonna
quit here in a minute. My philosophy is, Lord, fill
my mouth with worthwhile stuff and nudge me when I've said enough.
Okay, and I know some of you feel nudged, so I'm gonna wind
down here in a second, but I'm not through, but I'm gonna quit
anyway. All right, now listen to this, because I know you know
this, okay. One of the most powerful verses
in the whole book of Proverbs. We've all memorized it. I'll
read it, but I have memorized it. Above all else, guard your
heart, for out of it, it affects everything you do. Doesn't it? What, Proverbs 4.23,
by the way, for some of you that, I'm sure all of you remember,
I can't imagine there's a man sitting here that hasn't memorized
that verse. Okay. Above all else, guard your heart. And the best way to look at that,
your heart is your mind, your will, and your emotions. They
all go together. What wages war against my mind,
my emotions, and my will? It's all involved. Guard it. It affects everything you do.
Avoid all perverse talk. Stay far away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead. Fix your
eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for
your feet. Then stick to the path and stay
safe. Don't get sidetracked and keep
your feet from following evil. That's the last three verses
of chapter four. Is that awesome or what? You
think your grandkids need to hear that? Do you think you need to hear
that? Now I've got one, no, I'm not gonna do it. So don't panic. I'm gonna pray in a minute, a
second. Now I got four more pages for you, but I'm not gonna give
it to you. But at least I'll give you the headlines of what
I wanted to do next. Guard your heart. Okay? Guard your eyes, guard your feet,
and guard your tongue. Now I got a half hour on each
one of these four. When am I supposed to be through?
I've got to get home by suppertime. But you know, okay, when I come
back, I'll give you this, the rest of this. But I just want
to at least say this to you. I am more aware than I've ever
been. Guard your heart. Get it in sync
with God. Man, be careful about what you
let in. Our hearts can't be open to unbiblical
and ungodly influences. What a responsibility we have. It's paramount to be on guard. And then in the light of that,
guard your eyes. Oh man, what a, Is that a challenge
for our day or what? And I don't look at any junk
on the, I saw except for the one time, it's just normal living. just trying to guard your eyes. But look at the downfall. I mean,
look what happened to Samson, the he-man with the she-problem.
Remember that? Okay? And look at all, you know,
look at David, you know? He just took one look at some
gal taking a bath, and that sucked him down the drain. You know,
it all, look at Eve. Boy, that looks good, you know?
And don't ever forget in Genesis, the problem wasn't the apple
in the tree. The problem was the pear on the
ground. I thought you'd get that, but
all right. Sorry about that. All right. So guard your heart, guard your
eyes. Remember that passage in Matthew
5? If your eye offends you, pluck it out. Well, what does that
mean? It just means deal with it seriously. If you're watching stuff, reading
stuff, looking at stuff you shouldn't be, any of you in this room,
you got to take care of that. And then you can be a testimony
to all the men that come into your life, as well as all in
my family. We have one girl in 83 years. The rest are all boys. But I'm
having, oh, just, oh, I'm just, praise God for the ministry I'm
having in the life of my grandsons. Okay, and helping them with all
of this. Nobody else will talk to them about it. This is all
the stuff they should be hearing in Sunday school and church and
everything else, right? Guard your heart, guard your
eyes. Where's this, oh, yeah, guard
your feet. Look at this proverb. Make level
paths for your feet and take only the ways that are firm,
okay? Man, there's a lot of bunny trails.
Satan wants to suck us down. So stand firm. And then guard
your tongue as well. What a powerful thing that tongue
is. The power for good and the power
for evil and all the rest of it. And the power of encouragement. I love your pastor. I love that
man. He's been an awesome encouragement
to me and my ministry. And I praise God for him and
he knows I do. So be encouragers, okay? And guard your heart. with all
diligence for everything springs out of it. And everything that
wages war against your soul and you know what it is. Now take
care of it and deal with it and start on your new journey. For
some it might be a new journey. Okay, I guess that's enough.
Another book I'm reading Most of you know who Bruce Wilkinson
is. I know Bruce, he's an incredible guy. His newest book, The Secret
of Lasting Forgiveness, How to Find Peace by Forgiving Others
and Yourself. God did a work in my heart through
this book. This is the greatest book on
forgiveness that I've ever read. If you know of anybody in your
life or family that's struggling with the area of forgiveness,
please buy this little book. It's the best thing you'll ever
do for them. And I'll tell you, when I read this book, it dealt
with an issue in my heart that almost like I didn't know it
was there until it came to light. Because don't know, sometimes
we pride ourselves in being good forgivers. But I wasn't as good a forgiver
as I thought I was until I read this. And I tell you, there was
one little area in my life where God set me free from some deep
seated unforgiveness toward, you know, da, da, da, fill in
the blank. So we got to deal with all of this stuff and then
shine. and open up your mouth and make
a difference for Jesus Christ and start praying that God will
bring people into your life week after week that you can touch
for Him and watch God work. I've never had so much fun in
my entire Christian life. I'm as happy as if I was in my
right mind. It's just what a great way to
live, isn't it? Now, I'm gonna pray, we're done. That's as quick as you're ever
gonna hear me. Is there one guy here this morning? I don't know. I don't know any
of you. Me and my buddy back there, my
junior high buddy. Do you ever think in junior high
that we'd be here all these years later and think what God has
done? You know what my testimony to
you is this morning? I've known Christ for 64 years
now, and I've never lost the wonder of it all. And you know
what my prayer is? If I ever lose the wonder of
it all, call me home. Okay? You ever pray that prayer? Take
me home if I'm just gonna vegetate my way to glory. You're not good
for anything. Okay, now, last thing. Have you
made a conscious, willful choice to trust Christ as your savior? See, I believed all the right
stuff for 20 years. I believed it all. I believed
in God, the Bible, Christ, he died on the cross, he rose again.
I believed all that stuff. But something was missing because
I never internalized it. You hear the truth, you believe
the truth, and then you appropriate the truth. Look at how many people
hear it, believe it, and never appropriate it, right? Have you
taken the most important step and appropriated it by personally
asking Christ, forgive me. Forgive my sin. Thank you for
dying for me. And I'm gonna trust you right
now as my savior. I went skydiving on my 80th birthday
almost four years ago. And when I left that plane at
13,000 feet, I said, oh Jesus, pay attention. But anyway, I believe that parachute
was gonna take me safely to the ground. I believe that. When
did I really believe it? Yeah, when I left that plane,
okay? Have you left the plane? or you've
heard it and believe it, but I'm not positive, I've internalized
it by personally, at a point, by a conscious, willful choice,
I have chosen to trust Christ as my Savior. I'm not sure if
I've done that. Okay, we'll settle it then, all
right? Now I'm gonna pray, okay, let's
pray. Right now, I don't know why,
I just feel nudged to do this because I don't know any of you.
I guess I can get away with this and say this. Any of you never made that conscious,
willful choice? And wouldn't this morning be
an awesome time to do that? So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna
lead you in a prayer. You don't have to pray out loud
in the quietness of your own heart. Would you pray this prayer
with me in your heart right now? I'll go slow and then you pray
the prayer, okay? If you've never done this before,
some of you say, I need to get this settled. All right. Are
you ready? Here we go, all right? Heavenly
Father, thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die for me. and to pay my sin debt. And right now, by faith, I am
trusting Jesus as my savior. Thank you for forgiving me and
giving me eternal life. Now help me to live for you. Father, thank you for our time
together. Thank you for everyone sitting
in this room. And I pray that something that's
been said this morning, you'll take it, you'll use it in our
lives and help us to flush it out as we leave this place. None of us are here by accident
this morning, Father. We're all here by divine appointment. and you had something to say
to us. Now help us to guard our heart with all diligence. And Father, help us to deal with
anything that we know is making war against our soul and set
us on a new path to the glory of Christ, in whose name we pray,
amen. Amen. Thank you for having me. One last thing, anybody here,
did anybody pray that prayer with me this morning, anybody?
Willing to have enough courage to say, I did that this morning. I prayed with you this morning.
Anybody do that? That's awesome. And you know
why? Thank you for saying that. You
know why? Because if you won't stand up and hear where we love
you, you're not gonna stand up out there. So my whole morning
has been worthwhile. Anybody else? I didn't. Okay. My whole trip over here is worthwhile,
okay? Now to some of you, have you
been encouraged? Have you been challenged? And
now suck it up and get after it, okay? All right. And who's gonna tell me, you're
gonna close? Thank you for having me, dear
brother.
