Welcome to SuccessfulSavior.org, the ministry of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church in Donaldson, Arkansas. Well, good afternoon, and it's good to see some of you. It's been a while since I've seen some of you, and some of you, it hadn't been too long, but it's good to see you again anyway. Up here is not ever a place I thought that I would be, and like Brother Dan said, God worked on me. He didn't work on me, he worked me over. He worked me over. God doesn't work on, he works over. God doesn't underpower anything. He overpowers. And what I've had on my mind is talking about grace. Well, that's where we're headed, so. Sound good? Sound good? Good, good. Ephesians chapter two and verse one. Can't go wrong there. And you hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins. Does it get any worse than dead? No. You can, a lot of folks in here, the almond tree has flourished. Almond tree's flourished, or it's flourishing. It's blooming. You may have arthritis, you may have high blood pressure, low blood pressure. Just go down the list. Back hurts, whose back don't hurt? Knee hurt, whatever the case may be. But you're not dead, you still have life. Big difference, big difference. And you hath he quickened who are dead in trespasses and sins. A few weeks ago, I've told this to folks at Mass Adjunct. Oh, let me say, all right, I'm gonna say one little joke. I heard it, it's gold. I think it's very good. It's a dear sister. I had asked her, her almond tree hadn't quite flourished. And it hadn't flourished at all. And she's a dear sister of mine. And I asked her, I said, well, sister, so and so, your almond tree hadn't flourished yet. And she said, oh, it's flourished. She said, but I paint my almond tree like a Christmas tree. I thought that was pretty good. So there's my joke. Got it out of the way. So anyway, I thought that was pretty good. So, you happy quicken who are dead in trespasses and sin. What kind of power does it take to quicken a man from death unto life? What kind of power does it take? Well, and I've mentioned this and I know maybe some folks at Macedonia, this will be the second time they've heard it, but a few weeks ago, a good friend of ours and worked for us, he was a friend. He died and I heard that something was wrong and went over there and checked for a pulse and he was gone, just as dead as a hammer. And I sat there looking at him. And it was obvious that he was gone. No pulse. And if there had been a hospital a quarter mile down the road, it wouldn't have done no good. Wouldn't have done him no good. Wouldn't have done him no good. It was something instant. That fast. By the way, you could tell. But there's also another thought that crossed my mind while I was standing there. You could have gathered all the preachers in the state of Arkansas, lined them up one by one at that man, and called that man, and called him, and called him, and called him. And they couldn't call him into life. Couldn't do it. They could not have called him, brought him back from death to life. That requires a greater power. That requires a great power. A power that I have a hard time even comprehending. So who does have that power? There's only one. Only one. There's only one. Not one plus one, the one in three, but not one plus one. Not one plus you, not one plus me, not one plus a preacher, not one plus anybody. God don't need anybody. He don't need you. He don't need me. Period. He's God. We're just little wicked worms crawling through the sands of time. That's all we are, we're just wicked worms. Dead in trespasses and sins. What does John chapter five verse 25 say? Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live. The voice of the Son of God. We can say come forth. I mean, I could have said so and so come forth. I don't have the voice. I don't have the power. Man does not have that power. Man didn't have that power in the Old Testament. He don't have it in the New Testament. He don't have any power. He's powerless. The hour is coming and now is. That's like saying the rain is on the way and it's raining. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it? I think it does. Let's get there. All right, the hour is coming and now is. When the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. That's referring to a resurrection. What resurrection? How many times are we resurrected? Well, you're here today because you done been resurrected one time. And you were resurrected by the voice of the Son of God and his calling. And the idea that God can call a dead alien sinner and that be rejected, that be turned away. Who rejects God? What are we? And I'm gonna tell you, if a man can claim that through some work of his own, whether it be a baptism, whether it be saying a few words, whether it be this, that, or other, whatever kind of law you want to put man under, that it gives him life, You need to take that man to the local cemetery and take him out to a headstone and say, all right, let's see it. It's the same power. If you don't have the power to do it in a cemetery, you don't have the power to do it in here. If you don't have the power to do it in a baptistry, you don't have the power to do it out in the world, okay? Let me say that better. If you took a dead man into a baptistry or into a church that believes you have to be baptized to be saved, let's take him a dead man and see what happens. What would happen? Nothing. They don't have that power. There's only one who's got that power. And so you all have done been resurrected one time, okay? And you got one more to go. One more to go. But the same power that called you from death unto life the first time, the power of Jesus Christ, he's gonna call you the second time. It's the same power, okay? How many people believe in the resurrection? A lot of God's children do. A lot of God's children do. A lot of God's children do. They believe in the second resurrection, but they get tripped up and stumbled over the first. So, you hath he quickened. John six and verse 37. Y'all can just stay in Ephesians two. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me. What's that talking about, going to church? No, no, no it ain't, it's not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out, for I came down from heaven not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. Here we go. And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which He hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it again at the last day. A second time. Again's at least twice. It's at least twice. Again. So, who has that kind of power? You'd have to have the power of creation to have that kind of power. You'd have to have the power of creation. Who is the only one that creates? God. I know you don't, because I don't. Unless you're hiding something. I don't think that you create. Only God creates. Only God. And you think about, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the water. You think back then, God didn't need you, he didn't need me, he didn't need nothing. He's God. All right? So, about that power again, let me hit this real quick. The power of Jesus Christ. John 17, verse two. I think this is an important Bible verse. As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. When that says power over all flesh, is that just the elect? No. That's the elect and the non-elect. Resurrection Day, he's not just raising the elect. He's raising them both. So He's got power over all flesh. He's got power over my flesh. He's got power over your flesh. He has power over all flesh. That's why He can say, all that the Father giveth to me shall come to me. Because it's His power. And we can't stop Him. No man can stop Him. So, how many people on Resurrection Morning are just gonna say, nah, I'm just gonna lay here for a while. I mean, really. How many people would say that? Will one say that? No. They defy the power of God. That's not possible. Not possible. Like I said, God does not underpower. He overpowers. All right. Let's keep on going down. I was gonna go to verse 10, but it's hard to get to verse 10 without starting at verse one. So let's go to verse two. Wherein time passed, ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Wonder where that disobedience came from. That disobedience came from Adam. Didn't he? Wherefore by one man sin entered into the world. Excuse me, for by one man's disobedience many were made sinners. Guess what? We're disobedient because Adam was disobedient. You sin and are disobedient to God. Your sin does not make you a sinner. You sin because you are a sinner. That has always been the case, always. Sin is just a manifestation of what we are. And I heard Brother Dan talking about stuff going out here in the world, and it is depressing. You just sit there, you're gonna be a miserable person if you just sit there and watch the news all day. You're gonna be a miserable, bitter person. Sorry, you just will be. You don't need to watch that junk all day. It is designed to upset you, make you mad, make you sad, basically everything but happy. Because that makes money. That makes money. But the children of disobedience. But like Brother Dan was saying, about everything going on around out here. It's horrible. Pedophiles, sodomites, it's terrible. It's abominable, it's unnatural. Man has, well, 2 Timothy chapter three, there's a list of things that's going on right now, I believe, and it relates right with that. But anyway, it's unnatural. There's a lot of bad things going on out here. But what we cannot do, what I cannot do personally, I can't sit here and look at the world and start worrying about gas prices or worrying about these sexual deviants running around all over the place. What good is that doing me? What I have to worry about, you know what my biggest problem is? I see it in the mirror every day. That's my problem. That I can help control with God's mercy and grace. That out there, You can just pray about it. That's all you can do. That's all you can do. So, verse three. And also, let me say something real quick before I forget it. In Matthew chapter 22, there are some Sadducees that came up to Jesus Christ who attempted to stump Him on the resurrection. He didn't believe, or excuse me, the Sadducees did not believe in a resurrection. It was foolishness to him. Foolishness unto him. And you know the parable. The woman who had married seven brothers, whose wife would she be? You know the parable. Trying to stump the author of the law with the law. Doesn't work out. And it didn't work out. But Jesus. responded and said something to him. He said, ye do err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God, in doubting the resurrection. And when a man doubts that first resurrection, that pops in my head. Ye do err, not knowing the scripture nor the power of God. And I don't say that from a condescending state because I hope everybody in here knows and believes that if God doesn't give understanding, you don't know anything. You wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for his grace. There's not anything special about you. There's not something about you that before God is just, wow, you know. Anyway. I'm talking about that condemnation that you feel in your heart. You know, If you don't feel a little condemnation, I kinda worry about your salvation. If you can honestly feel like yes I am, I am, I am, I'm worthy, yes I am, and feel no condemnation, well I'm gonna worry about you a little bit. Verse number three, among whom also we all, it went from ye to we. among whom also we all had our conversation. In times past, in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others, we. You can just say, we all were even as others. What are the even as others talking about? That's talking about the non-elect. That's what that's talking about. We all were just like them. We all were dead bodies. We all were dead. Just like on resurrection day. the elect and the non-elect will be in the graves, okay? That will be the condition prior to the second resurrection and it's the condition prior to the first resurrection. All right. Conversation in times past, lust of our flesh. Man, oh man. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind. Anybody ever fulfilled the desire of the flesh? Who doesn't? Who doesn't? Who hasn't? Who hasn't and who doesn't? Let me put it that way. Who hasn't looking back and who doesn't going forward? The desires of the flesh and of the mind. And were by nature the children of wrath even as others. By nature. Where do you get your nature from? Your parents. Where did your parents get their nature from? Their parents. And you can just follow that all the way back to the beginning, to Adam. That is where your nature of wrath comes from. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me. What does that shapen in iniquity mean? In the loins of his father. This shapen in iniquity happened before he was even conceived. and then sinned and my mother conceived me. At conception, not when you sin the first time. No, at conception, you are in sin. All right, the children of wrath. There's one Old Testament example of God pouring out his wrath. And there's a New Testament, it connects. Word slipped my mind. by nature the children of wrath. Have you ever read about Sodom and Gomorrah? What did God do? Poured out his wrath upon them. And remember, Abraham, Abraham pleaded with God. I think he went from 50 all the way down to 10. There'd be 50 righteous, spare the city. 50 out of a bunch. Not just two cities, but I believe five if I remember correctly. Abraham pleaded with God, there'll be 50 righteous, and then Abraham kept lowering the number, lowering the number, lowering the number. I don't think there was any righteous in that city. There was one who was delivered, one, in his posterity. That one was Lot. Why was Lot delivered? What did God remember? God remembered Abraham. That's why Lot was delivered out of Sodom and Gomorrah. That's why. God remembered Abraham. There wasn't anything about Lot, but God remembered Abraham. You wanna know why you and I are delivered from that wrath of God just like those Sodomites experienced back then? God remembers Jesus Christ. All right? So, by nature, the children of wrath. And I was gonna say that. Roman 8, verse 29. What does it say? Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed. We had been a Sodom and made light into Gomorrah, except the Lord had left us a seed. You know what you're in? You know what you're in would be? The wrath of God for eternity, period. Nobody escapes that, nobody. And so, you know, this is something that I've kind of been thinking a lot about, You hear and hear about how to get saved. You can just Google it. You'll get a hundred different answers. Have you ever done that? I mean, you can just Google, how do I get to heaven? What do I need to do to get to heaven? Oh man. But you see what men are doing. you're creating a standard that's not God's standard, whatever it may be. Let's say you just have to go to church once in your life and you'll go to heaven forever. That's foolishness. Because God's standard and man's standard are universes apart. Universes. God's standard, and for me personally, when I started reading the Bible, I mean really reading it, not just whatever, but I started at Genesis 1-1, and By the time I got to the end of Deuteronomy, that's when you see who God is. You see his law. You see his law. That's the standard that a man would have had to keep. Not part of it. We think of the 10. There are hundreds. One, breaking one of them, you deserve hell. If you were even born neutral in this world, and you're not, just one, one offense, one foolish thought, one curse word. Whether it be a sin of commission or omission, all right? All right, let me get going here. But God, I love that but God, okay? When there's a but God, it gets better. All right, I've hounded and hounded. Let's go the other direction. Let's talk about grace. But God who is rich in mercy for his great love wherewith he loved us. He didn't love you because he looked down through heaven and saw you going to Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. He didn't love you for that. That didn't cause his love. You're not gonna move his hand. He loved you when you were dead in sins. and that's why he quickened you when you were dead in sins, all right? A God who is rich in mercy, understatement, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, quickened us together with him. By grace are you saved. You wanna talk about a good parenthesis? There's a good one right there. By grace are you saved. There's your good one. By grace are you saved. quicken us together with Christ. Did God quicken Christ? You betcha. He quickened Christ and he quickens you all. He quickens all of his children, okay? By grace are you saved. By grace. And hath raised us up together and made us sit together. He didn't just raise you up together and then you get to heaven and separation, no, no. No, you are in him. Where he is, you shall be, period. and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Would Jesus Christ sit down if he had not finished his work? He'd still be standing today. I believe he'd still be here on this earth if he hadn't finished his work. But it's Hebrews chapter one in verse three, I think it's verse three. When he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high. Sounds like he completed something. He did. That in the ages to come, he might show the exceeding riches of his grace and his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves. You're not saved of yourself. Nobody's ever been saved of themselves. Nobody. You can't save yourself for God. Just like a dead body out here in a cemetery can't just pop up out of the ground on its own. Same principle. For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. It's a gift. It wasn't free. Well, I'll put it this way. It was free to us, but it wasn't free. It took the precious blood of Jesus Christ, worth more than anything else on the face of this earth. All the universe is put together, not worth one drop. That was the cost. It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Not of works. What do our works bring forth? What does Romans 6 and verse 23 say? for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You know what your works bring forth? Death. That's all this thing can do. That's all this flesh can do is die. That's it. You know why everybody's, the almond tree's flourishing and everybody's getting aged? You're heading to the grave. I'm 27, or I'm 20, yeah, I'm 27, fixed turn 28. I'm headed to the grave too. I'm on my way just the same as you all, okay? And you can't get out from under that. You cannot escape a law of God. The law of sin and death, you ain't getting out from under it. This body is not gonna escape it. But that's why God gave you a second nature. Whose image is that one in? the image of his son. This is in the image of Adam. Adam died, this dies. Now that second nature is in the image of who? Jesus Christ. Can Jesus Christ die? Is he dead now? No. That which is in you is eternal. That new man, all right? Not of works lest any man should boast. Let me flip over the page. Turn back here just one page to the end of Galatians. You wanna see what the works of the flesh are? Everybody remembers the fruit of the spirit. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, meekness. Excuse me, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Against such there is no law. We always remember those. But we don't wanna remember the works of the flesh. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these. This is what you, I'm talking about you, bring to the table. This is it. And me. Now the works of the flesh are manifest. Which are these? Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, that's covetousness, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like. There's you the works of the flesh. You gonna use that to get saved? You gonna take that before God? You better hope not. Okay. Let's see here. All right. Not of works lest any man should boast. All right. Verse number 10, all right. For we are his workmanship. Not of works, not of my works, not of your works. You see what they are. You see what they are. I'm not talking about the new man within you. I'm talking about the old man. Adam, that's what I'm talking about, okay? For we are his workmanship. His workmanship. You can tell a whole lot about a man by his workmanship. You can go into a house, there's one man I know of not too far from here, his workmanship was amazing. You could tell it was his workmanship by the way the trim would fit together. It was incredible. And you could see him work and it would just amaze you. See that workmanship, the workman is reflected by his workmanship, okay? But we're not our own workmanship, we're the workmanship of God. Hey, when he created the earth, When he spoke, let there be light, there was light. It's that simple. When he told the waters to bring forth, everything happened. And not only when he spoke, Psalm 33 and verse nine, for he spoke and it was done. He commanded and it stood fast. All right? When he spoke back then in the beginning, it happened. And it didn't just happen to where it was all right. When he spoke, he saw that it was good. It was good. And when he called you from death unto life, guess what? He saw that it was good. God's work, not ours. created in Christ Jesus, there you go, creation again, creation again, it's a common thing, unto good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Now in verse nine it just said not of works, but then in verse 10 it says created in Christ Jesus unto good works, all right? Interesting, isn't it? For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Who's the only one that can create? God, I've said it. Now, that creature, what does 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17 say? Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. That new man is a new creature. I'm gonna get to this here in just a second. When you hear about and you read about putting on the old, or excuse me, putting off the old man and his lust and putting on the new man, all right? There's a verse that I think you always need to remember when you hear about that new man, that new man. In Romans 13 and verse 14, it says, but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. Huh? And make not provisions to the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof. When that says, When the Bible says put on the new man, what it's saying is put on Jesus Christ. What's the new man in? The image of Jesus Christ. You see all this? Ephesians four and verse 24, and put ye on the new man which is created after God in holiness and true righteousness. Who's holy and who's truly righteous? Jesus Christ is. And that new man is created after him. All right? Okay. Creating Christ Jesus under good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Oh man. God hath before ordained that we should walk in good works. The good works won't save you, but God ordained that we should walk in them. Now should we walk in them? You bet. You know the problem with the good work? There's a couple problems why we do not want to do good works. Number one, your flesh is naturally lazy. Naturally. You don't want to do good works. You can always make a provision to the flesh. Always, over anything. Like it said in Romans 13 verse 14, make not provisions to the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof. What's some examples of making provisions to the flesh? Plenty of TV shows that make provisions to the flesh, plenty. Plenty of places you could go that make provisions to the flesh, plenty, plenty. Which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Okay, I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna be done. Brother Dan is hung up in Hebrews 13. Hebrews 13 and verse 16. Down there towards the end. But to do good and to communicate, forget not. For with what? For with such sacrifices God is well pleased. You see that walking into good works, you know what you have to do to walk in good works? You've gotta sacrifice something. What did they sacrifice in the Old Testament? Flesh. What do we need to sacrifice in the New Testament? Flesh. See it? Okay? By the way, while I'm thinking of it, where is that well please used in the New Testament? Have you ever looked up well-pleased, where it's at, where it's not? Every single time in the New Testament except for one, and it was referring back to the Israelites wandering the wilderness, that well-pleased is God talking about Jesus Christ, his son. Do you understand that you have the ability, the same ability as Jesus Christ to well-please God the Father? That is pretty big to me. That's wild to even think about. When you look at those works of the flesh, and now you, who he hath quickened from trespasses and sins, have the ability, just as Jesus Christ had, to well please your Father God. Is that not big? Behold, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. You wanna know something? Behold, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Do you know that God can say the same thing about you when you walk in good works? Is that not wild? Yes, we don't do it all the time. In fact, most of the time we fulfill the desires of the flesh. Still, still. But you have the ability to well please the majesty on high. You do. I do. The ability to well please the majesty on high. Sounds like a pretty good thing to do, don't it? It's not a pretty good thing to do, but to do good and to communicate, forget not for which such sacrifice is God as well pleased. Sometimes it's a sacrifice of time. It can be just a little thing like sacrificing time. Time to please the majesty on high, sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn't it? It could be financially. You're losing it all anyway. You came out of the womb naked, guess what? You're going back in the ground with nothing, okay? Or the Lord calls us up, you ain't gonna have nothing. All your money, retirement, gone. It's gonna be burnt up one of these days. It's gonna be burnt up, so don't worry about that. But it could be financially, and it could be physically. But let me just tell a quick story, and I don't even know why I'm gonna say this, but I will, about sacrifices. It's amazing how lazy sometimes that we get. But you always have to forget not who you're pleasing and why you're doing it, okay? You don't do good works for Brother Dan's approval. It's not about Brother Dan, okay? You don't do works for the preacher's approval or for your mommy and daddy's approval or for your uncle or aunt's. You work for the approval of God. That's what you work for. That's what that good work is unto, okay? And I'll just end with this little short story. It's kind of stupid, but I'll say it anyway. Just for an example, this is how little and minute things can be. Uh, there was a time I was at Brookshire's. It was a long time ago. Uh, not long enough, but it was a long time ago. I was at Brookshire's and, uh, there was this, uh, older lady, poor looking. Tell her clothes had been through the washer and dryer several times, maybe hundreds of times. Then, you know, with the look, uh, and she was, uh, in front of me in line and, uh, She was buying like $12 worth of stuff, 12 bucks. And it was a little bit more than she thought, so you know what she had to do? She had to take something back. Now what did I do? Nothing. Stood there. Stood there. Sometimes, it's not things you do that eat you up. It's the things you don't do. That was one of the cases. That was one of the cases. For $5, I could have well pleased the majesty on high. Five bucks. And I sat there like a stump. Kills me. I'm glad it kills me. All right, I'll end on a lighter note. Let me give you another example of me and my failure. Okay, I'll just tell all my failures and then when I'm done, y'all just come on up. Just come on, we'll just take turns. And then everybody will hear about it and everybody will just go home because nobody wants to be around people like this, okay? That's the bottom line. And I've got, I've done big sins, I've done every sin in between, every sin in between. but sometimes things you don't do. All right, let me end on a light note here. There was a Sunday after church, and when church is over, it's hibernation period at the Honeycutt household on Moseley Road, okay? Church was over with. I go home, and usually Sunday's about the only day I can rest or catch a nap, and I love naps. I love naps. I love naps. And Sunday is the day of rest, so it's biblical, okay? I told Brother Dan one time a while back, I said, don't call me on a Sunday afternoon unless something's on fire or somebody's bleeding. Don't call me. I'm taking a nap. And I say that in jest, but anyway. So, Sunday afternoon, I get home from church. I'm just thinking about this nap I'm fixing to take. I'm fixing to clock out. I'm fixing to clock out, and I'm not gonna clock in for a while. And I changed, put on sweatpants, all the junk, you know. I lay down on the couch, and I'm almost asleep. Somebody knocks on my door. I thought, who in the world is coming up here? Which is ridiculous, but anyway, I wasn't really mad. So anyway, I go to answer the door, and I'll get down here. I go to answer the door, and it's these two kids. little Mexican kid and a kid with some kind of impediment or something to nice kids nice kid and They were selling weenie roast tickets for their church right down the road so then you know They were at a Baptist Church right down the road nice kids very not they could have been smoking dope or out here stealing junk Okay, or throwing rocks at cars. What were they doing? They're just right around selling tickets for a church weenie roast I didn't buy anything from them, but I didn't hit them over the head with a Bible either. Sometimes, they were real nice. One of them asked me, he said, do you have any Allen wrenches? I need to fix my bicycle. Oh man, here I am in my comfy clothes. They come up trying to sell me something, then they need me to fix something. Well, the previous day at the shop, I had gotten the Allen wrenches out of my truck, but I couldn't remember if I'd quite put it back in or not. I couldn't quite remember if I'd put them back in my toolbox in my truck or if I'd left them at the shop. What do you think I told those kids? Left them at the shop. I wasn't really sure. That was a little bit of a lie, wasn't it? That's a lie. Those kids couldn't see that. God could see it. So, AJ was listening to the whole conversation, and then I laid down on the couch, And AJ said, uh, she said, Luke, she said, you could have checked to see if you had those Allen wrenches. And I said, nah, I said, I'm pretty sure I left them down at the shop. She said, well, it would have been nice just to go look. She was right. I was wrong. Okay. Look outside. The kids have done gone on. So I go outside, look at my toolbox. Guess what's sitting right there. That Allen wrenches. All right. So then guess what I do? Go back in, change clothes, hop in my truck to go find those kids to fix his bicycle, because that was the right thing to do. When if I had just done the right thing to do, if I had just done the good work to begin with, it would have saved me 40 minutes, because I was right around the neighborhood trying to find them, and I couldn't find them. And then finally I found them, fixed their bicycle. It pays to do the good work the first time, not to be lazy the first time, but to well please the majesty on high the first time when you have the opportunity. And we have far more opportunities than we think we do, far more. So thank you all, may God bless and keep you, and I'll be praying for y'all, and pray for me. Thank you for listening to SuccessfulSavior.org, the ministry of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. Come and join us as we worship God in the simplicity of Christ every Sunday morning at 416 North Hall Street in Donaldson, Arkansas. At Harmony, we don't have many things you'll find in the popular churches of our day, but we do have a successful Savior. We invite you to come and see.
