Episode nine, where we are looking in our world for events that the Bible says would be happening at the time when Jesus comes to get his church. In episode eight, we talked about meteor strikes that the Bible says are coming to the earth, big ones and little ones. We showed how recently our government has been paying close attention to the sky, watching for asteroids and meteors headed towards earth. There is even a chart with predicted events to watch out for. Could one of these possibly be Wormwood that the Bible warns about? These events are coming. The Bible tells us this in advance to warn us. God warns us so we will seek help, so we will seek him. He is the help we need. He is our answer. He is our rescuer. He is our savior. Jesus died on a cross to pay for our sins. Our sins were so horrible that the loving, kind, merciful, gracious God of the universe had to turn his back on his dear son, unable to gaze upon Jesus as he was robed in our sin. Jesus gave his life as a sacrifice for our sins. He was buried, and after being dead for three days, he rose victorious from death in the grave, paying for our sins and providing salvation for us. We can now hide from God's wrath in him, Jesus will keep us. Jesus will protect us. Like Noah was in the ark, sheltered from the wrath of the flood, we can hide in Christ, safe and secure. That's what God wants. He wants us to come to him, to find Jesus. God wants us to see danger approaching and look for help. But sadly, most of the world has heard the warnings. God is long-suffering. God is not willing that any should perish. So judgment on the world hasn't come yet. And I fear that people see God's warnings like the lights on their dashboard. When you first notice those warnings, it's shocking and it seems important. But if the car keeps working and you keep driving, and eventually you no longer even see that warning light anymore. That's how the people in Noah's day were Noah was building the ark for some 150 years, warning the whole time, and then it was just too late. The people of Israel too, God would warn of a judgment that was coming, and he would send his prophets to warn them, but it would come slowly, and they ignored it, and they ignored the prophets. And then the next thing they knew, they were in Assyria, or they were in Babylon. and they were rejecting their Messiah. And then the city was destroyed and they were scattered around the world. Some hear the warning and they get right with God. Some hear the warning, but choose not to listen. Some see the danger coming and believe it, but they don't repent. They don't turn to God. They would never consider seeking Him. They love this world too much. Earth is their home and they are living their best life now. So no repenting, none. Instead, they dig in. They dig down into the earth that they love. They try to save themselves. They trust themselves. They plot and they plan to recover better than they are now. To come out of the disaster an elite, a leader in the new world. God is to be our shelter. Psalm 46 verses 1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Psalm 32 verse 7 Thou art my hiding place, Thou shalt preserve me from trouble. Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. God is our protection, no matter what we face, wars, bombs, disasters. Short-term plans are wise. A prudent man foresees the evil and hideth himself, but the simple pass on and are punished. So we are to be on alert. We are to be looking forward and watching what is going on in our world and preparing and planning for it. But we are not to be afraid. I have home insurance. I have car insurance. I have food insurance. I am to protect my family and to provide for them. So I have plans and I hope to never use those plans. But the overarching plan was to make sure that my family is safe in Jesus Christ. To be truly, eternally secure. Eternally safe. Our government in the United States has planned to survive bombs and meteors, but their plans are for them. They're not for you. Not for you to survive. Our nation's plans is called COG, or Continuity of Government. All planning has gone to preserve the government so it can function in the event of a crisis. It is not a plan that involves its citizens, and I am focusing mainly on the United States here. Some of the plans are the Presidential Emergency Operations Bunker, or PEOC. It is the bunker for the President to hide in. The other is Project Greek Island, aka Greenbrier. It is a bunker for the legislative branch. This was discovered and has since moved to an unknown location. One of the most famous is Raven Rock, or also called Site R. It is called the Underground Pentagon. One of the biggest ones is the Cheyenne Mountain Complex. It is a military base and formerly the North American Aerospace Defense Command or NORAD headquarters. Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center is the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA's, place to hide. The Deep Underground Command Center, or DUC, is 4,000 foot below ground near or around the Pentagon. We're not quite sure. Mount Pony is the Federal Reserve's hidey hole. It is stocked with nine foot tall pallets full of $2 bills ready to replenish the currency after a catastrophe. The Command Forces Base of North Bay is our international bunker. It's for NORAD. The Warrington Training Center is to hide the CIA, the NSA, and the DOD. Selfridge Air Force Radar Base is the Air Force Surveillance Radar Station and the most secret of our bases. But what about us? What about Joe Citizen? There used to be fallout shelters, right? Good for 14 days after a nuclear strike. That's not very long. and they stopped being funded in the 1970s. That's why you never see those little fallout signs anywhere. And the truth be told, they said that they were mostly to give the public a sense of reassurance. They weren't really there to protect us. Let's look at a comparison. The country of Ukraine. As of February 2024, the United States has given Ukraine $74.3 billion. And Ukraine has over 5,000 bunkers for its citizens. And our citizens have none. In the United States, our government tells its citizens, find a local elementary school in the case of a crisis. They do admit it's not a safe option, but it's just better than nothing. For the persistent United States citizen, they are giving this advice. Find a mine or a cave to hide in, or convince a known government bunker to let you in. See how that goes. I live in Indiana. We have nine caves. Illinois has two. This plan makes Kentucky the safest place to live. Cave City, Kentucky's population will swell if a crisis event were to occur. The wealthy have options, though. Bill Jerome. Bunkers have been touted as the newest form of insurance to help safeguard against riots, unrest, and other catastrophes. Bill Gates is reported to have huge shelters under every one of his homes. Joe Biden is building one under his Delaware home. It's recently been reported that Mark Zuckerberg, who purchased up 1,400 acres in Hawaii, is building a 5,000 square foot underground shelter. All this relates to the end times. I believe in the pre-tribulational rapture of the church, that the church won't be here for the tribulation. But I think we can see groundwork for events that will happen during the seven-year tribulation being prepared right now. The tribulation opens with the seal judgments. The four horsemen of the apocalypse start things off. They start things off with wars and famines, death and martyrdom. It's the sixth seal I want to look at right now. Revelation 6 verse 12, And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, of hair, and the moon became as blood. Verse 13, And the stars of heaven fell into the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind. These are some of those meteors we talked about in episode 8. Verse 14, and the heavens departed as a scroll when it was rolled together, and every mountain and every island were moved out of their places. Here's the verse where we find it interesting. Verse 15, and the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman and every free man hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. Verse 16, and said unto the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. Verse 17, for the great day of wrath has come, and who shall be able to stand? What do they see coming that they are not telling us about? Is it just a trendy thing to do, build a bunker? Or are they building and preparing for these events? Rather than repenting and begging God for forgiveness, they are continuing to resist. They are digging in. Do they realize it is later than you think? To learn more about these bunkers that the government has planned, I recommend this book, and I want you to pay attention to the title.
