It is a privilege again to be in the house of the Lord this morning. And as the psalmist David said, I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. And I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be today than worshiping with God's people. Amen? I believe a good worship service down at the house of God is just a foretaste of what heaven is going to be like. Amen? And we'll have glorified bodies then, so we won't wear out. The message won't get too long. Amen. We won't get too tired. What a day that'll be. Amen. Let's stand this morning, if you're able to, stand together. We'll begin reading in chapter 10, verse number 1. And we'll read all the way down through verse 13 and see what the Lord has for us in the message this morning. 1 Kings chapter 10 beginning in verse 1. The Bible said, And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bear spices and very much gold, and precious stones. And when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. And Solomon told her all her questions. There was not anything hid from the king which he told her not. And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom and the house that he built, and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his assent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her. And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land, of thy acts and of thy wisdom. Howbeit I believed not the words until I came, and mine eyes have seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. Thy wisdom and thy prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard. Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel, because the Lord... therefore made he the king to do judgment and justice. And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones. There came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon, and the navy also of Hiram, that brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees and precious stones. and the king made of the almog trees pillars for the house of the Lord, and for the king's house harps also and psalteries for singers. There came no such almog trees, nor were seen unto this day. And the king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire whatsoever she asked beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants." Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank You for another opportunity to be here today and, Lord, to gather around Your Word and around the people of God. Lord, how good it's been to have already been here this morning and we've worshipped You, we've prayed, we've thanked You, Lord. for all that you've done for us. And now, Lord, it comes time for preaching, and I pray that you'd speak to us through your Word. Lord, I know that your Word has the message that we need. Lord, you have the message for the hour. I pray you'd help us to be faithful in delivering the message, and I pray you'd deal with the hearts of men. Lord, everyone that's here this morning has a need in some way or the other, but especially that one that's unsaved. God, I pray You'd deal with that heart and You would show them Your glory and Your majesty, show them their sinfulness, that they may repent of their sin and turn to You. And Father, whatever You do throughout the service this morning, we'll be careful to thank You and praise You. In Jesus' name we ask. Amen. Amen. Thank You for standing. Thank God for the reading of His Word. Now, a very familiar passage of Scripture in 1 Kings 10. We find a great story of the Queen of Sheba and how she is visiting Solomon and seeing his great majesty for the first time. In the New Testament, Jesus called her the Queen of the South. And she is a lady of great wealth and a lady of great power, but when she comes to where Solomon is, her life is changed. And I want to look in verse 7 for my thought this morning, and we'll refer to these verses that we've read along the way. But in verse 7, as the Queen of Sheba shows up and begins to be amazed by the majesty of Solomon, she said this. She said, "'How be it? I believed not the words until I came, and mine eyes have seen it. And behold,' notice this, "'that was not told to me.'" I want to preach this a little while this morning if God would help us on this thought. You don't know the half of it. You don't know the half of it. Really, I could say this morning, none of us really know the half of it, how great and how majestic and how wonderful our God is. But when I look at Queen Sheba or the Queen of Sheba this morning, I see her as a picture of one that is unsay. I see her as a picture of a sinner. She's from a heathen nation. She's from a different world. She's from a different culture. And she hears about the majesty of Solomon. She hears about his great works and his great kingship and how God has blessed the nation of Israel with the mightiest king that ever has been or ever will be. And when she hears about Solomon, she begins to get intrigued about him, and she's got to go meet him and find out what he's all about. When I think about that this morning, I think about when you and I got saved and how we were lost and sinners on the road to hell, heading a different direction than God. The Bible says that the sinner is at enmity with God. Amen? We were outside of the family of God and did not know the Lord in a personal relationship. And I find that here in our Scripture this morning. I want to give you just a few things about this salt, and if you're not saved today, if you don't know the Lord, you don't know the half of it. Amen? If you don't have a relationship with Christ this morning, you're missing out on the greatest thing that can ever be. The New Testament tells us this, I believe it's in 2 Corinthians, that eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard, what the Lord has prepared for His people. Amen? God has wonderful things for those that will come unto Him. We that are saved and have been saved a while, we've been experiencing the majesty and the goodness of God, but we've never exhausted it. We've never gotten to the end of it, and you never will. One of these days we'll gather together the church of God in heaven and enjoy His majesty throughout all the endless ages. Amen? What a Savior He is this morning. What a wonderful God. What a great God that He is. I could testify to you, and I believe you could say the same thing this morning, that He's so much more than I ever thought He would be. He's so much greater. Now notice with me in our text this morning, we'll look at this queen and see how she came in contact with Solomon. In verses 1 and 2, I want you to notice her drawing. We find that she is being drawn to King Solomon. You know, that's what happens when a sinner comes to Christ. He or she is drawn unto God, the Spirit of God, and the working of God through the Word of God begins to deal with the heart of that lost sinner. It begins to show them their need and their emptiness and their situation of being lost in sin. And I believe the Queen of Sheba here, she sees there's something greater than what she has. Do you know this morning when I got saved, I realized there was something greater than what I had. I realized there was a Savior. I realized there was a life better than the life I was living. There was a way better than the way I was going, amen? And I came to Christ and He saved me. If you're saved this morning, you know what I'm talking about. Now in verse number one, I want you to notice as we look at her drawing, notice his wonder. The Bible said, And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, somehow or another the message had gotten into her land, down into the south country, south of the nation of Israel. The message had been sent out. and got into the land that she was from, and she began to hear about the fame of Solomon. She began to hear about how God had blessed him and about how God had set up a mighty king in the nation of Israel. She began to hear about the great peace that was happening under the reign of Solomon. She began to hear about all the building process that took place and how he began to raise up that temple of the Lord that his father David had in his heart. But yet you and I know that David couldn't built because of him being a warrior. But he commissioned his son, and God raised up Solomon, to build the great temple in that day and to be the king of the greatest nation on earth. So you find that the drawing of his wonder begins to draw her to him. Boy, I'm glad when I was lost, I heard about the wonder of the Lord Jesus Christ. I heard about His greatness, amen? I heard that He would save whosoever will. I heard that if anyone would call upon Him, He would in no wise cast doubt. And I began to wonder about the Lord. I know there's never been a time in my life, and most of you could agree with me, never been a time in your life, that you didn't know about the Lord. But there's something different in knowing about the Lord and knowing the Lord. And I knew about Him for a long time. But then there was a day in my life I wanted to know Him personally. Amen? I wanted to meet Him. Just the testimonies of the people of God were not enough for me. And just hearing about the Lord was not enough. I had to leave the position of where I was and come to where He was. And He came to me and worked in my heart and He saved me. And this is what's happening in the life of the Queen of Sheba. She's drawn by His wonder. Then you'll notice in verse 1, she's drawn by His Wisdom, the Bible goes on to tell us this, that she came to prove Him with hard questions. There's no doubt in my mind she heard about the great wisdom of Solomon. She heard that he knew all things. She no doubt heard about the stories in his people's lips of how great wisdom God had given this man. You remember Solomon when God commissioned him to be the king? Solomon with a reverent heart looked to God and said, God, how can I do this? How can I rule over this great people? And he said, I need wisdom, Lord. If there's anything I need, it's wisdom. God said you didn't ask for riches or glory or fame, but you asked for wisdom. He said, I'm going to give you wisdom and everything else that goes along with it. And there's no doubt she had heard about the great wisdom of Solomon. She had heard about how he was able to make decisions and have wise discernment and fix situations that were wrong in his kingdom. Well, I remember about hearing the Lord and how He changed lives and how people that were once lost were born again and families that were tore up were put back together by the merciful hand of God. And that drew me unto the Lord, not only His wonder, but His wisdom. And here she is, she's being drawn to Solomon, a type of the Lord. And if you'll notice, as the Queen of Sheba comes up, what you see here in our text is two different worlds coming together. You know, that's exactly what happened when you and I got saved. Amen? We were from the natural world, the carnal world, the world of the flesh, and we thought like the flesh, and lived like the flesh, and talked like the flesh, and looked like the flesh. But there was a day in our life where we realized, that our fleshly power could only take us so far. We realized there was no satisfaction in sin and in going our own way, and we heard about good news from a far country. Amen? We heard about a Savior that would save us and change our life. You may have heard about him through your parents, you may have heard about him through grandparents, or another relative, or through the preacher, or through a co-worker, but somehow or another you heard about the majesty of God. You heard about His wonder, and you heard about His wisdom, and it drew you unto Him. Boy, that's what's going on in the life of the Queen of Sheba. Now you see that he's drawn, or she's drawn, by his wonder, by his wisdom. In verse 2, she's drawn by his words. I'm glad the Scripture teaches us this morning we are begotten by the Word of God. Notice verse number 2. The Bible said she came to Jerusalem. with a very great train, and camels that bear spices, and very much gold and precious stones. And when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart." Amen? You know what she did? She came to Solomon and she emptied out her heart to him. She came before the presence of Solomon, and he was so mighty and so wise and so glorious that as she stood in his awe, she began to tell him everything that was on her heart. Boy, doesn't that sound like a sinner getting saved? Amen. Doesn't that sound like what happened to us when we came to Christ and we just confessed that we were rotten sinners? We just confessed everything that was on her heart and we just began to talk to God and let Him know how sorry we were in the position we were in. And that's where she's at. And by His words, He began to draw her in. The Bible says here in verse 2, she communed with Him of all that was in her heart. Now if you're going to commune with somebody, it's a two-way street. She began to talk to Solomon, He began to talk to her. She began to tell Him about her, He began to talk about some things. I'm glad when you and I talked to the Lord about our condition, I'm glad He spoke back, amen? He said, Preacher, did He speak to you in an audible voice? No, it was much clearer than that, amen? It was much deeper than that. God began to wring my heart out and show me my lost condition, began to speak to me about my sin and about where I was headed, about hell and about heaven, and began to deal with me. I'm glad He communed with me, amen? I'm glad that He came to where I was at and I'm glad He was not too high and mighty to speak to an old wretched sinner. I'm glad that He looked down to where I was at and through His Word and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, He began to commune with my heart. Do you know there are times when sinners will pray and they don't know God, but yet they'll go through prayer. And we know that that prayer is not a prayer that God hears when sinners just pray to try to get God to move on their behalf. But when a sinner comes to God and cries out to God for mercy, that is a prayer he'll hear. When that sinner confesses that they are a sinner and that they do need a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, it will bend the ear of God down their way and he'll hear what they've got to say. Amen? I believe when the Queen of Sheba came to Solomon and began to expound upon everything in her heart, that he began to commune with her. I believe the more they talked, the more she was interested. I believe the more that he said, the more she was amazed. You know, I've been saved now a little over 26 years, and I can tell you, the more I know about Him, the more amazing He is. The more that I talk to Him, the greater He is. The deeper I get into the Word, the more I find out what a wonderful Savior that we have this morning. So you see, there's a drawing here. I'm glad for the day and the hour when God drew me as a sinner unto Himself. If you're saved, there was a time God drew you and He brought you to Himself. And you'll notice something else in our text this morning. Listen, if you're not saved, you don't know the half of it. If you're not born again, you don't know what you're missing. Amen. You don't know what's on the inside. If you'll just come and taste and see that the Lord is good, you can get in on the greatest thing that's ever been. Notice secondly with me this morning, beginning in verse 3, we find her discovery. Now, I believe this is in order, amen? She's first drawn to King Solomon, and she comes. If she had never come to King Solomon, she would have never discovered anything. There are those today that will mock God and mock our Bible and mock what we do in worshiping the Lord, and they won't believe what we say. And you know why that is? They've never tasted and seen that the Lord was good. I heard a story years ago about a college professor and how he came to a town And he was going to debate anybody in that town that there was no God. He was an atheist. He said he got up on the platform and went through all of his sayings and all of his ideas, and said when he got done, he said, is there anybody in the house that's willing enough to debate me? And said an old man with old overalls and boots on stood up in the back and said, sir, I'd like to debate you. The college professor laughed under his breath and thought, I'll tear this old man to pieces. Said the old man come down to the stage, stood up beside him, pulled an orange out of his pocket, and he began to peel that orange. And then he took slice after slice and began to eat on that orange. And he looked at that professor and he said, sir, how good is the orange that I'm eating? And he said, well, I don't know anything about it. He said, I've never tasted it. He said, that's your problem, sir. And he went and sat down, amen? Great wisdom from an old man put him in his place. I'm telling you this morning, if you happen to be someone and you say, well, I don't know about this Jesus, I don't know whether it's all that important, can I tell you your problem is you've never tasted it, amen? Your problem is you've never tasted of the Lord and seen that He's good because everyone that's been saved can testify this morning that He is the best thing that's ever happened to us. Amen? Well, I believe the Queen of Sheba discovered some things. Let's look in verse 3. In verse number 3, she discovered that he had all the answers. Amen. Notice what the Bible said. And Solomon told her all her questions. Boy, you remember when you came to God, all the questions you had. You remember when you came to the Lord as a sinner, boy, you didn't understand. Maybe you didn't understand salvation completely, didn't understand all the things of God, but you came to God and He relieved all your questions. I'm glad that happens to a sinner. I'm glad that happens to the saint of God. I'm glad when we have questions in our life, we can go to our heavenly Solomon. We can pour out our heart to him. There's never been a question that I've asked him that he didn't know the answer. There's never been a problem in my life that he didn't have a fix for it. And that's what she found out about Solomon, that he had all the answers. Amen? You know, there are some people in this life that think they have all the answers, but there's no man that has all the answers. None of us is wise as God, but there is a God in heaven this morning that has all the answers. You may be sitting here this morning and you say, Breacher, you don't know what I'm going through. You don't know what's going on in our home. You don't know what I'm facing with my children. I may not know this morning. I will sit down and talk to you and try to help you all I can, but I'm just made out of flesh like you and I'm limited. I can give you what the Scripture says and maybe a few things I've learned in my short days, but I can't give you all the answers. But I'll tell you what I can do this morning. I can point you to One that has all the answers. I can point you to One that knows everything. Amen? And He's willing and ready this morning to commune with you and answer the questions in your life. You see, she found out he had all the answers in verse 3. She discovered that. In verse 4, she discovered that he had all ability. Look in verse number 4. And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom and the house that he had built, she began to look at what he had built. She began to look at his things and began to look at the things of God and began to see all the things that God had prospered under his hand. What she found out was His great ability. You know, there's sometimes those that are lost, they're hesitant to come to God because they don't think God can or will save them. They don't think God can fix their problem. I've heard people say, well, I've went too far, I've been too deep in sin, or I've done too much wrong, God can't help me. And what the problem is is that they just don't understand His ability. He has great ability. He has all ability. Amen? We believe in an omnipotent God. You know what that means this morning? He has all power. There's no mountain too high. There's no valley too deep. There's nothing too dead. Amen? There's nothing too far away. There's nothing in such a bad shape that God cannot reach down with His mighty hand and bring it up and do a work in it. Well, I think about creation this morning. The Bible said in Genesis chapter 1 that the earth was void and without form. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. There was nothing there, but the Bible said God spoke and said, Let there be light. Amen? And out of that darkness and out of that nothingness, God created the earth that you and I enjoy. God created the human race and all the animals and the fowls of the air and the fish of the sea. What a mighty God that has ability this morning to breathe life into your deadness, amen? And to speak into your life and make a change. You're here today and life's upside down. I'm telling you, there's a God in heaven that can right-side up your life, amen? She found out he had the answers in verse 3. She found out he had the ability, all ability, in verse 4. Well, when you get to verse number 5, notice something else. She discovered, she found out his abundance. Amen? Oh, if you're a child of God this morning, you can testify to this, that the abundance of God never runs out. Amen? The psalmist said in his right hand, there's pleasures forevermore. He always has enough and more than enough. I'm reminded of Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel chapter 9, and how Mephibosheth came to David, and Mephibosheth, the grandson of Saul, could have very well been executed because of his position. He was lame. He was no good physically to King David. And David came and fetched him and brought him to himself. And he fell before David there in that chapter, and he said, What am I? A dead dog as I am, that you would look upon me. And David said, Fear not, Mephibosheth. Amen? David saw him in his condition, and David spoke to him. And David had ability to raise him up. And David set him at the king's table. And he said, Continually you will eat bread at the king's table. You know what Mephibosheth found out? He found out the abundance of the king. And you and I that are saved this morning, and we've scooted up to the king's table time and time again, we can testify with a clear heart that the king has all abundance. Amen? He's never run out of provision. He's never run out of supplies. There's never been a need in my life that he couldn't take care of. And the queen of Sheba found that out when she came to where Solomon was. Look in verse number 5. The Bible said this, and she's looking at all of this, and the Bible said, "...and the meat of his table." Can you imagine the meat of his table? Now you can study elsewhere in the Scripture and you can find some of the details about Solomon's meat and everything that was prepared and the hundreds and thousands of animals that were laid out and prepared and the things that went on about providing meat at his table. He had an abundant supply. Amen? I mean, it never ended. When you went to the cupboard at Solomon's house, you never opened an empty cupboard. Amen? When you went to wherever the other provisions were stored, you never opened an empty drawer, amen? Everything was always there. And I'm glad this morning that since I've been saved, my heavenly Father has had an abundant supply for every possible need that could ever come up in my life. Do you know sinners this morning? They're trying to make their way on their own. They're trying to work out their own salvation and get to heaven their own way and please God through their own flesh. And what they do is they come up short every time. They come up without provision every time. They come up empty-handed every time. But if you'll trust Christ this morning as Savior, if you'll turn to Him and give Him your life, lock, stock, and barrel, you'll find the abundant hand of God will bless you. Amen. Oh, what did David the psalmist say? He said, I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Amen? God will take care of His people this morning. It might not be exactly the way we think or in our timing, but I'm glad we can stand with assurance in our heart today and know and believe that God will take care because of His mighty abundance. Amen? You see, she discovered He had the answers. She discovered He had the ability. Whatever problem you're facing, God's got the answer for it. She discovered he had an abundance, but look in verse 5, she discovered he had all authority. Amen? Look at this, the Bible goes on to tell us, "...and the seating of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers." and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his assent by which he went up into the house of the Lord." And after she got a hold of all this, notice what the Bible said, there was no more spirit in her. Now that word spirit here is little s, that's the spirit of man. What are the Scriptures telling us here? That after she viewed all the majesty and discovered all of Solomon, what he was about, it totally drained her spirit. I mean, it overwhelmed her. She had never seen anything like that before. She had never been around anything like that before, anyone like that before. And when she saw His authority, it was an amazing thing to her. Well, I'm glad this morning I see the authority of God in our world. I see the authority of God at His house. That's what this is talking about in verse 5. It's talking about the house, His ministers, His attendants, His servants, His cupbearers. He's talking about how He had great authority over those that were under Him. Not only great authority, but good authority. You know, the nation of Israel, when they were in Egypt, they cried by reason of the taskmasters. But when they came to Christ and came to God, God was the great authority in their life. You know, if you're lost this morning, you're under a wicked taskmaster. You're letting the devil lead you around by the nose. You're letting Satan take your life and do whatever he wants to do. He'll promise you the world, but he cannot deliver it. He'll promise he'll take care of you, but he'll leave you wasted by the side of the road. But if you'll call on Jesus this morning and come to Christ, our heavenly Solomon, you'll find out His authority is the greatest authority there is. When you get right with God, you don't have a problem submitting to His authority. You know how I can submit to Him this morning? I know that He is a God that'll take care of me. I know He's a God that never makes a mistake. I know He's a God that knows the end from the beginning. So I have no problem submitting to His authority. I believe that's what she discovered when she saw all the majesty of Solomon. Now let's look further in our text. We see her drawing. Again, this morning, sinner, if you're lost, you don't know the half of it. We see her drawing, and then we see her discovering, but notice now it gets better. In verses 6 through 9, notice her delight. When you get to verse number 6, I see conviction here. Notice what the Bible said, and she said it to the king. It was a true report. that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom." There she is standing before King Solomon. She's overwhelmed. The end of verse 5 says there's no spirit left in her. And finally, she's convicted standing in front of such majesty. Can you imagine standing in front of a man like Solomon? If you study the richest men of the world, On an honest report of it, you'll find Solomon's top all the way. There's never been a man as rich as him or ever will be according to the Scripture with the wisdom and the riches that God imparted to this man. So she's standing in front of the richest man on planet earth at this time, the most wealthy man, the man that has the greatest to offer. Can you imagine that conviction? Can you imagine how she must have felt? Can you imagine how she stood before Him and her own existence paled compared to Him? It's exactly what happens to a sinner. When we ever get in front of Christ like we're supposed to, when we ever get to that place where we see Jesus for who He is, we stand with conviction in our heart, knowing we cannot measure up to the One that stands before us. Knowing that we're not as great as Him. Knowing that we're in need when we stand before Him. And that's exactly where the Queen of Sheba was at. She's convicted, amen? And that conviction is the beginning of her delight. It's the beginning of the King doing a work in her life. I thank God for being convicted that I am a sinner, or was a sinner, and Christ is the Savior, amen? I'm glad for that day in my life where I stood before the Holy King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Spiritually speaking, I stood before Him, and I saw myself wicked, and I saw myself lost, and I convinced and convicted that I needed a Savior, and He was willing to be that Savior in my life. If you're lost this morning, you don't know the half. If you're unsaved today, He's just waiting for you to come. You just don't know what you're missing out on. Amen? Notice her conviction. Verse 7, notice her confession. Look what happens in verse 7. She said this, "'How be it? I believe not the words.'" You know what that lets us know? She came skeptically on the way. She heard about it. She probably thought, there's no way there could be a man like this. She probably thought, there's no way there could be a kingdom like what I've heard about. You know, there may be someone sitting here this morning unsaved, and you say, well preacher, I've tried this and I've tried that, and there's no way this God could be that good. You need to try Him, amen? You need to believe Him, amen? You need to trust Him. That's what she did when she got there. She came and she saw His majesty and His wisdom, and in verse number 7 she said, I believe not the words until I came. and mine eyes have seen it." Amen. And behold, she said, the half was not told to me. You know, we've got to get to the place in our life where we allow God to open our eyes. We've got to get to that place to where the blinders and the scales come off of our fleshly eyes and we see God for who He is. There's a lost and dying world out there, and many of them that are sitting on church pews that have never seen God for who He is. Oh, I mean, He's just somebody there and distant in their imagination, but they've never seen Him for really who He is. But when you see Him for who He really is, and your eyes are fastened upon Him, and you get a hold of the majesty of God, it'll cause you to confess. That's what she did. In verse 7, she confessed, she said, you're all and so much more than I ever heard about. She said, the half is not told how great you are. I'm glad when I got saved and you got saved, we may not have said it with our mouth, but in our heart we could have said, hey, he's far more than what we ever dreamed about. He's far greater than anything anybody ever told me about, any preacher ever preached about. We just scratch the surface when we preach, amen? We try to take a text and follow God's Word, but the best we can do is scratch the surface. But when you come in contact with God, you'll find out that He's more than you ever dreamed of. Amen? You see her confession in verse 7. That confession is made unto salvation according to the book of Romans chapter 10. In verse number 8, look at her craving. In verse 8, her want-to is getting changed. Look at this. The Bible said in verse 8, she said this. Half thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom." You know, I tend to believe from studying this that the Queen of Sheba probably thought she was the stuff before she met Solomon. She came with a great train of camels and spices and gold and many, many things. You know what she came with that for? She wanted to impress Solomon. That's a whole lot like us sinners are sometimes. We want to try to impress God, but nothing you can do or I can do can impress God. And when she got in the presence of Solomon, all that she brought didn't mean a hill of beans, amen? All that stuff she had paled in comparison to what Solomon had and who he was. And in verse number 8, I see a craving here. She's looking around. The servants were not there in bondage. The servants were not there necessarily because they had to be there. They were there because they wanted to be there. She said, "...happier thy servants." Well, I'd love to take time. It's a different message. But verse number 8 ought to be the testimony of the local church. Amen? "...happier thy servants." She said, "...happier are these the servants which stand continually before thee." and that hear thy wisdom." She was craving to get in on what the servants of Solomon were already in on. Can I tell you something this morning? You're not happy, you don't have joy, you don't have peace. You need to get in and be a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to come to Him, cast all your care upon Him, trust Him by faith, get into the family of God, if you're not already in, and serve Him and trust Him. Listen, you may be here today and you say, preacher, I know I'm saved. I remember. I can take you back to the place or the time like we sung about this morning. But yet it's been a while since you've served God. You've been serving self. Can I tell you something this morning? If you're saved, genuinely saved, God ruins you for this world. You're not going to get out in this world and live like you want and enjoy it if you're born again. And if you can enjoy it, there's something wrong with what you've got. But if you're genuinely born again, you're not going to be able to enjoy living your own selfish way in this world. The only way you're going to be happy is like verse number 8 tells us. You're going to have to be serving the Lord continually. Amen? And I believe the queen of Sheba, she saw all his servants. I mean, he wasn't cracking the whip on them. He wasn't making their life miserable. He was not screaming and demanding things. They were happily serving the king. Amen? Can I tell you something this morning? I'm not a real good servant, but what I'm trying to do, I'm happy at it. Amen? I'm happy serving the king. I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing this morning than serving the king. I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be than in the house of God with the people of God. Why? Because He is a good God this morning. And I want others to crave what God's done in my life and done in your life. And she did that as she stood before Solomon. She began to crave the things that were going on in the midst of Solomon. Look in verse number 9. Look at something else about her to lie. I see a capitulation here. She basically in her heart bows down to Solomon, who he is. Look in verse 9. The Bible said, Be the Lord thy God." I mean, she cries out. She says, this is it. "...which delighteth in thee to set thee on the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel forever. Therefore made he the king to do judgment and justice." She said, you're the best king I know, Solomon. You know what I can tell you this morning about my Savior? He's the best king I know. I served the other king for a few years in my life. He never did me any good. The devil, amen? But I'm glad when I got saved and started serving the King of kings and Lord of lords. He's the great king, amen? He's the best king. There's no other king. If there was a better king, I'd go find him somewhere. But there is no better than Him. Isaiah said there's nobody like unto Him, amen? He is the great King of kings, Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, and He's looking for those that are willingly serving. She said, hey, you're it. She said, there's nothing in me compared to what's in you. Her delight was found in Solomon. I'm telling you, you don't know the half of it, sinner. You don't know the half of it, child of God, that's not walking with God. You don't know what you're missing, amen? If you'd just get in tune and get right with God, what a delight God would put in your heart, amen? I'm going to give you this last thought, and I'll be done this morning. We're about out of time. Verses 10 through 13, I see her dedication. I see a great, great thing that happens here. Let's look at it together. Two things I want to give you, and I'll finish this morning. In verse number 10, I want you to notice something. She gave him, Solomon, some precious things. In verse 10, the Bible said this, after she's overwhelmed by his majesty and his wisdom, in verse 10, she gave the king 120 talents of gold. Now if my calculations are right, according to today's market, that's about 150 million dollars worth of gold. The Bible said in verse 10, she gives this gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones. There came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon. She gives a very precious gift. Would you agree with me this morning? The best I can tell from the Scripture, she gives everything that she brought with her to Solomon. She's willing to give it all up. She gives a very precious thing. You know what God's looking for this morning that's more precious than silver and gold? More precious than the spices and the abundance that the Queen of Sheba had? He's looking for your life, amen? He's looking for you. That's the most precious thing in the eyes of God. You say, I'm not precious to God. Well, Jesus went to Calvary for you. Jesus on the cross for you. He took the cat of nine tails for you. He took the scourging and the whipping and the crown of thorns and the mockery for you. That's how much God thinks you're worth. Matter of fact, Isaiah 53 said it pleased God to bruise Him. Speaking of His Son, because He knew what would come out of it, and that would be the redemption of mankind. You're precious in His sight this morning. Even lost and on the road to hell, you're precious in His sight. He loves you. He cares about you. He wants to minister to you. And when she came to King Solomon, she gave him the most precious things that she had with her. Boy, I'm telling you, when a sinner gets right with God or a child of God that's backslid gets right with God, we'll give up our life to Him. Amen? We'll give it all to Him. Amen? You remember David there when he took Ornan's threshing floor? He said, I'll give it all. Amen? Ornan said, I'll give it all. He said, you can have it all, King. Boy, that's when you really get down to business with God. When you say, Lord, You can have it all. My life, my existence, my family, my finances, my future, whatever you want, God, it is Yours and I'll give it to You. When you see him like she saw Solomon, you'll give it to him. But notice this now. Let's look at verse 11 and 12. The Bible tells us here, "...the navy also of Hiram," this is the king of Tyre, "...that brought gold from Ophir, and brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees and precious stones. The king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the Lord and for the king's house, harps also, psalteries for singers. There came no such almug trees nor were seen unto this day." Now look at verse 13, and I'll finish this morning. In verse number 13, we find that she gained peace. In verse 10, she gives Solomon all the precious things. That is a picture of a sinner giving his or her life to God. Or someone that's out of the will of God, backslid on God, surrendering their life totally to God. That's what that picture is in verse 10. But verse number 13 is what she got back. Now look at it here, I don't want you to miss this. And King Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba, notice the next three words, All her desire. You know what sinners don't realize this morning? Everything they want is found in Christ. The drug addict last night that shot up high on drugs, what he or she doesn't realize, every bit of that desire can be satisfied in Christ. The harlot that walked the streets last night, what she doesn't realize, everything she's looking for can be satisfied in Christ. The one this morning that's wrapped up in religion and trying to accomplish the do's and don'ts to satisfy their own conscience. Everything that they desire is found in Christ and Christ alone. And if you're here today and you say, preacher, my life's empty and my life's worthless, I'm telling you, let Jesus fill your life. He will satisfy your every desire. He'll give you so much more and above anything you could ever ask for. I believe when the queen left Solomon that day, she was totally satisfied. I believe when she walked off the grounds and out of the house and down the road, there was an amazement in her life over what Solomon had given unto her. And I'm going to tell you something this morning, there's a God in heaven that wants to amaze you if you'll let Him. There's a God in heaven that wants to fill your life. There's a God in heaven that wants to orchestrate the affairs of your life and bless you and use you for His glory and honor. But you're going to have to be willing to submit to Him. I'm thankful that the Queen of Sheba, when she came to Solomon, she was willing to submit. She was willing to believe. She was willing to give precious things to Him. And in return, He gave her all of her desire. Listen, there's a God this morning who wants to save you, sinner. There's a God this morning that wants to help you, child of God, that you've got off the track and you've went by the wayside. You say, God can't help me anymore. Tell that to Peter when we get to heaven. Amen? He denied Christ three times in John 21. He went back to the old life, said, I go a fishing, and Jesus was setting on the shore. with the fire going and the fish on the fire, and said, come and dine. There's a God in heaven, back-slid child of God this morning. There's a God in heaven that's got the fire going. And all He's waiting on is for you to get off that boat of self-will and that boat of doing your own thing and get to Him and sit down and dine with Him, and He'll give you what you need to carry on through the rest of your life. Amen? I'm glad this morning the half has not been told. You don't know the half of it this morning. If you don't know Christ, come to Him. If you're not where you need to be this morning, come to Jesus and let Him work in your life. Amen? You have the message. Let's stand heads bowed. Sister Lynn, if you'd come to piano, if God spoke to you this morning, this altar's open, would you come today? Would you come this morning? Would you find out the half that's not been told? Would you find out this morning what you're missing out on? You go to any old saint of God in the house this morning and serve the Lord any length of time and they'll tell you that He's more amazing than we ever dreamed. Far greater, amen, than I could have ever comprehended. I mean, I feel like I can't even do justice preaching on Him, amen? He's so high and so mighty. Would you come to Him today? He wants to help you. He cares about you. Yes, we serve a holy God. We serve a God of wrath. We do this morning, but thank God we serve a God of love. Amen? He's a God that cares about where you're at, what's going on in your life. Would you come to Him today? Jesus is right for whatever's wrong with your life this morning. Whatever the problem is, He can fix it today. While she plays a song, if God spoke to you, please come this morning and do business with God.
