Job continued his parable and
said. So chapter 27 and chapter 28
is going to be parallel. We went down through verse 6
of Job chapter 27. Now I want to say a few things
about that verse. Read that verse with me once
again. Job 27 verse 6. Note what Job said. My righteousness
I hold fast, and will not Let it go. Now, I told you, I think
we got a little bit of this last week, but I want to remind you
then, this is the problem with Job. Now, see, Job's been trying
to find out why he knew he lived right, he knew he lived Godly.
The Bible said back in the first chapter, he loved God and he
chewed evil and he interceded for his children, made them sacrifice. Job was a righteous man. He's
declared one of the most righteous men in the Old Testament in Ezekiel
chapter 14. uh, Job, Daniel, and uh, uh... Can't think of the third one.
Anyway, Job, Daniel, and Noah. Now, and Job couldn't understand
why that he was going through this persecution and loss of
all things and so forth. And now we come to something
we haven't seen up to this point. And here it is. You see, Job
was a righteous man. And that was his trouble. He
was dependent on that. See, and I told you And I'm going to tell
you how it is. I believe you ought to live right.
I believe you ought to live clean. I believe you ought to live for
God. But do all that, but let me tell you something. If somebody
says, you saved, you say, yes, well, how do you know you're
going to heaven? Well, because I live clean, I live right. That won't do it.
See, that's the trouble, see? I don't care how righteous you
live or how outstanding you may live, I'm going to tell you something.
You're going to have a flaw in your life right on. So don't ever depend
on what you are or what you're doing to get you there, see?
I'm saved, I'm going to heaven, and I try to live in the light
of the Bible. I try to follow the Bible as near as I can. Let
me tell you something, folks. I'm still a worthless sinner,
and I'm going to save because Christ saved me. And I'm trusting
Christ. I ain't trusting my life. I'm
not saying, well, I know I'm going to heaven because I do
this and I don't do this, you know. That was Job's trouble,
see. And that's why he's going through
this thing. God is going to show him that
he's not righteous. I'm going to review something,
and I've done this already once before. I'm going to show you,
take your Bible and turn to Job chapter 40, and I'm going to
show you what God told Job that if he could do, he could save
his self. Now somebody tells you, you know,
you've got a bunch of people today that think they're so self-righteous
and so pious and so good and so godly that there's nothing
wrong with them, you know. I know I met a man here in this
town not long ago, well I say not long ago, several years ago,
and he told me that his son got saved. I said, well that's good,
I'm glad he got saved, that means he's not going to hell. He said,
oh he's got to live it, you know, he's got to live it. In other words, what
he said was he had to live a certain standard or a certain level to
stay saved. Now, that is, that's what I'm
talking about, see, that's exactly what I'm talking about right
there, see. That is somebody that's not trusting Christ. See? Like I told you in the illustration
I gave you that night, you know the fella swung off the mountain
on the side of the mountain with a rope. Remember that? And the
angel said, you believe I can save you? He said, yeah. He said,
then turn loose the rope. See? Now if you trust Christ,
turn loose your own righteousness, your religion, your church, and
all this other junk, and trust Christ. And that's what we're,
that's what I'm trying to to show you here tonight. Now look
what God said to Job, in Job chapter 40, and let's read verse
6, Job 40 verse 6. Then asked the Lord unto Job,
out of the whirlwind, and said, Gird up thy loins now like a
man, and I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. Okay,
you ever seen these fellows, you know, come up here, you know,
they really want to show off, you know, gird it up. So God
said, okay, Job, tighten up, You're a man. Let me show you.
Let me see if you're a man. Let me see if you can save yourself.
Let me see how good you are, okay? So, uh, he says in verse
9, Hath thou an arm like God, or kennest thou thunder with
a voice like him? Now, and I'm not gonna go through
all these scriptures tonight, but I've told you before, and
gave you illustrations, one in John, and several places, when
God speaks, it's like thunder. And God told Job, said, Job,
can you make it thunder? Next time some of these people
tell you that they're good enough to go to heaven, ask them, can
they make it thunder? Huh? Okay. That's Bible. You'd be alright
to ask them that. Now look at the next verse. Verse 10. Deck
thyself now with magistry and excellently, and array thyself
with glory and beauty. Can you array yourself with glory
and beauty? Hmm? Well. Look at verse 11 cast abroad
the rage of thy wrath and behold everyone that is proud and abased
him you can you are you able to lift up? Somebody's right
and put somebody down that's proud well, no and uh Then he says in verse 12 look
on everyone that is proud and bring him low and Thread down
the wicked in their place I wish I could do that. If I
could do that, we wouldn't have a president that's sun up. Amen? I wish I could do that. I can't do it. Amen? Now, look
at verse 13. Hide them in the dust together.
Get rid of them. Are you able to get rid of anybody
you want to? Huh? And bind their face in secret?
What God's told Job, He told him all these things. Then He
said in verse 14, Then will I also confess unto thee that thy own
right hand can save thee. See? So, now I told you that
beginning in Job, I believe it was chapter 25, that the rest
of the chapter reveals the greatness of God and the things of God.
Alright? And that's some things about
God that man can't even compare to. And there's a lot more, we'll
deal with them later on. Now look at the last part of verse
6, Job 27 verse 6. Job said, My righteousness I
will hold fast, and will not give, will not let it go. Now
look at the last part. My heart shall not reprove me
so long as I live. In other words, that's okay.
Now he's talking about living with his conscience, okay? And
the last part of verse 6 is okay. Now look at verse 7. Verse 7. Let mine enemies be as the wicked,
and he that rises up against me as the unrighteous. Now he
said this to his friends. And he's telling them, he's telling
them, let mine enemies be as the wicked. That's some way to
talk to your friends, isn't it? Huh? No, he's just saying his
friends are like the devil. Alright? And he said in verse
8, For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained,
when God taketh away his soul? Okay? In other words, what's
the hope of a man if he gains in this world, and he dies and
goes to hell? Remember in Luke chapter 12,
there was a rich man there, and that rich man had plenty. And
he said, And he said, soul, thy has much good laid up for many
years. Eat, drink, and take it easy.
He was gonna, you know, store all his goods away and sit back
and live a life of luxury and enjoy himself. And you know what
God said that night? God said, thy food this night, thy soul
shall be required of thee. Then whose shall these goods
be? See? And now the Bible is saying
this. What's the hope of a hypocrite? If he gains everything and God
takes him and he goes to hell. Or for me, verse Jesus said it,
what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose
his own soul? Okay? Now, Job's talking about
his friends here, see? He's talking about them. Now,
look at verse 9. He said, will God hear his cry
when trouble cometh upon him? Okay. Of course, the answer is
no. Now, uh, You go after this life and live
in this life and deny God, forsake God. And when judgment comes,
you call on God and you think God will appear and just deliver
you and take care of you. Well, He won't, see? So it said
in verse 10, will He, he's talking about the hypocrite, will He
delight Himself in the Almighty? Will He always call upon God?
You see? No, the hypocrite won't call
on God when he's in trouble. And the sad thing about it is
Some people won't even call on God right on up to the last dying
breath. Amen? And the hypocrite, the general,
when everything is going right in his life, he don't have no
time to listen to God. Alright? So look at verse 11. Job 27, 11. I will teach you
by the hand of God That which is with the Almighty
will not conceal. And behold, verse 12, behold,
all ye yourselves have seen it, why then are ye thus altogether
vain? Now Job said, what I'm getting
ready to show you, you've seen it. Okay, now he's getting ready
to show something. Let's see what it is. Verse 13. This is the portion of a wicked
man with God, and the heritage of oppressors which they shall
receive of the Almighty." Okay? Now the next 10 verses, and that
will be down through verse 23, is a detailed description of
the Antichrist. In other words, all this will
be about the man of sin. I told you Job was a book that
revealed the Tribulation mainly, and so the The main man of sin
and tribulation being Antichrist, a lot of the Bibles about him,
especially the book of Job. Alright? Now let's look at something
here. Look at verse 14. If his children, who are we talking
about? Antichrist, okay? And he has
plenty of them. If his children be multiplied
in his father's sword, and his offspring shall not be satisfied
with bread. Okay? Now, I told you if you
hear, I believe it's this Sunday, last Sunday, the devil has a
family just like God does. The devil has people that follow
him. He has disciples, he has churches, he has people, he has
preachers, everything God has, see. And he's growing real fast. And the Bible says here in verse
14, if his children be multiplied, there's plenty of them. And he
said it's for the sword. Now that sword is talking about
the sword of Revelation chapter 19 when Christ comes back, the
one that comes out of his mouth and destroys the millions of
people at the battle of Armageddon. Okay, that's when the time when
the blood runs to the horse's bottom. 200 miles long. That's a lot
of blood, isn't it? That's a lot of people. See? So that's what Job's talking
about here. Or look at the next verse, verse 15. Those that remain
of him shall be buried in death, and his widows shall not weep. Notice widows plural. So it's
not talking about Job. Job don't have no widows. He
only had one wife, okay? And the Bible said, verse 16,
though he heap up silver as to dust, and prepare raiment as
to clay. I'm going to deal with that some
more in the next chapter, so I'm going to go on from there. Look at
verse 17. He may prepare it, but the Jeff shall put it on.
That is in the Millennial. In the Millennial, the righteous
people are going to get everything this world has. Okay? And I've told you scores and
scores of times here, everything that you've got in this world,
after the church has gone out, and the Tribulation is in and
the Millennial Kingdom is set up the Jews are going to have
this world and everything in it. There won't be no Gentile
landowners in the Millennial. Okay, so if you've got a piece
of land, sell it. Because the Jews are going to get it if you
don't. They're going to get it anyway. All right? He may prepare it, but the just
shall put it on and the innocent shall divide the silver. Jesus
said, Blessed are they that for the meat, for they shall inherit
the earth. And you know when that's talking about? That sure
ain't talking about the church age. That's talking about when this
thing is over with. Look at verse 19. The rich man
shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered. The rich are
going to die and not even going to be buried, just going to lay
out on the ground. He opened his eyes and he is
not. be nothing. These people today, you don't
think they're so great and mighty because they got money? You wait
until God gets through this thing. They won't be nothing, they won't
have nothing. Amen? Alright, verse 20. Terrors take
hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
This wind carrieth him away, and he departeth, and as a storm
hurtleth out of his place. For God shall cast upon him,
and not spare he would fang flee out of his hands. Now let me
show you something here that's controversial the way we see
it today. Look at this last verse, verse 23. Men shall clap their
hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place. Now the
normal thing today when you applaud somebody, it's generally something
you approve of, okay? But this here is talking about
something that you're against. See? Now let me show you one
reference on that, a short piece in Lamentations, chapter 2. I'll show you what I mean by
that. You see, the modern accepted thing today is when you approve
of something or agree with something, you clap your hands. But here
it's different. It's talking about Clamping your
hand because you're against something or against somebody. Alright,
let me see if I can find a thing this minute. Lamentations chapter
2. Alright, let's look at verse 15. Lamentations 2.15. It's on
page 836 in the Schofield Bible. Listen to this. Lamentations
2.15. All that pass by clamp their
hands at thee. they hiss and wag their head
at the daughters of Jerusalem saying is this city the city
that men call the perfection of beauty the joy of the whole
earth and of course you know the story that's after Nebuchadnezzar
comes in and takes the cherubim off into captivity and the city
is destroyed and when men see it they're going to clap their
hands see so Clapping hands and what's talking about in verse
23 is they'll clap their hands when they see the Antichrist
destroyed Okay It'd be like uh Somebody told me the the Catholic
priest just dropped dead and the Pope just dropped it. I clap
my hands. Amen. Amen Like the Sunday morning,
uh, I was in I was teaching Sunday school up in Jacksonville Somebody
came and said, you know captain Coopman died. I said hallelujah
And you know how few people got upset over that thing? They really
did. Let me tell you something, folks. Anytime God takes one of the
devils crowd out, I'm glad of it. Amen? That's just one less
we got to fight. Okay? Alright, look at Job 28. Chapter 28, verse 1. Chapter
28, verse 1. I want to show you something
here. Give me your attention on this next verse. I want to show you something
that's... I've never showed you before. Of course, I don't...
That ain't mud. I mean, I ain't showed you too
much anyway. But I want to show you something tonight that's real... Now notice
that chapter 28 continues with verse 27, I mean chapter 27 verse
1 it says, Moreover Job continued his parable. Now chapter 28 is
continuing on in that parable. And notice where he starts off
by telling things that are in the earth. And the conclusion
to this 28th chapter is in the last verse 28-28. Now I want
you to read it and then I'm going to comment on that. Look at 28,
28. And unto man, he said, behold,
the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil
is understanding. Okay? Now, look at verse 1, Job
28, verse 1. The Bible says, Surely there
is a vein from the silver, and a place for gold, where they
find it. Now, I want to Talk a little
bit this morning or the night about gold and silver. They're
mentioned all through the Bible. And we've been with this New
Testament. We've studied this thing numerous
times. So first take your Bible and turn to Proverbs chapter
3. Let's identify these things and
put them in an application where we can understand what they mean
to us today, see? Okay? Proverbs chapter 3. That's on page 673. Okay? Alright, let's look at verse
14, Proverbs chapter 3 verse 14. For the merchandise of it
is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof
than fine gold. Alright, look at verse 13, Proverbs
chapter 3 verse 13. This is one of those 13's that's
good in the Bible. Most 13's is negative, but this
is a good 13 in the Bible. Look at it. Happy is the man
that findeth wisdom. Okay? Wisdom, item number one. Or item number two, and the man
that getteth understanding. Okay? You see it? Now the Bible
says in the beginning of this book, the fear of the Lord is
the beginning of wisdom. Okay? Alright. Now, Proverbs and Job, comparing the
two together, we come up with this. Wisdom begins with the fear of
the Lord. Okay? And Paul said in Romans
3.18, one of the things that characterized the unsaved Gentiles
was, he said, there was no fear of God. And that's one of the
problems today, especially our young people have no fear of
God. They have no fear of God. You see? Now when Job gets talking
about a silver and gold and comparing with Proverbs, Proverbs says
the wisdom is connected with silver. Amen? And the understanding
is connected with gold. See? Now look at Job 28, 28. Now watch this real close. And the man, he said, behold
the fear of the Lord that is wisdom. Okay? And to depart from
evil is understanding. Now, silver has something to
do with redemption. You study the Bible, you know
that. And everything in the tabernacle, you study that back in Exodus,
we went through that book some time ago. Everything in the tabernacle
was overlaid with gold. And everything in that tabernacle
rested on sockets of silver. You see it? Now, in Proverbs,
I mean in Joel 28, 28, the verse I just read you, the fear of
the Lord is connected with wisdom, okay? And depart from evil is
understanding that's connected with goal. And goal in type represents
God. Okay? Now let me show you something
here. I've never really seen this thing
before that clear. But people that aren't redeemed, people
that aren't saved, they don't have no fear of God. They don't
tell me you do, because if you did, you'd get saved. Amen? I
mean, if you see an unsaved man, an unsaved one, and say, well,
I fear God, and you're unsaved, you're lying. Because if you
feared God, you'd get saved. I've said a thousand times, and
I'll say it again, you put somebody in a burning building, set the
house on fire, and you won't have to go in there and beg them
to come out. They'll come out. I'll tell you, I'll give you
an illustration I heard one time, one of the best illustrations I ever
heard on this thing. Some of you don't remember, it was before
my time really, but some years ago, back in the 30s, they had
a big fire in Atlanta. That big hotel burned. You remember,
any of you ever read about it or remember it? That hotel was
something like 15 stories high. Now the preacher I knew was up
in Atlanta at that time, he saw this. And he said that up there
about the 15th, 13th, 14th, 15th floor, the flames was coming
up the thing there, it was in January and Atlanta's cold, that's
cold and ice was on the ground. It was ice all over the place.
And those people would run to the window and they were afraid
to jump. They'd run back at the fire,
they wouldn't go to the fire, they'd run back and forth and
back and forth and finally as the fire got closer and closer,
eventually they all jumped. And he said some of them they
hit the concrete, the ice, it was so hard that it knocked the
eyeballs out of their head. But every one of those people
jumped rather than Stay in the fire. Burn. And you tell me you
fear God, that you have a fear of God, fear the fires of God,
and I'm jealous of your sin, and you refuse Christ, and you
won't get saved? I don't believe it. I don't believe it. Okay? The fear of the Lord, that's
wisdom. See? Wisdom starts not with a college
education. Wisdom starts with fearing God.
Okay? And understanding. See? Now,
like I said, I believe unsaved people have no fear of God. And
people don't understand, that's why they fool around with sin,
because they don't know God. They don't have God. Amen? Now comparing the two there,
that's about what you come up with. Okay? Alright, let me show
you something. Let me do one more scripture
I'm going to read. It's in Malachi chapter 3. That's the last The
last book in the Bible. There's a lot to this thing.
I'm not going to discuss it all tonight. I've got to spend two
hours here. Some scriptures I looked up today. Malachi chapter 3 and
verse 3. Let's read this on page 982.
Malachi 3 verse 3. But who may abide the day of
his coming? And who shall stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire
and like fuller's soap. Now look at verse 3. Malachi
3, verse 3. And he shall sit as a refiner
and purifier of silver, and he shall purify the sons of Levi,
and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the
Lord an offering in righteousness. Okay? The Bible talks about gold,
and it talks about gold purified. Gold purified so clear you can
see through it. Now you haven't ever seen anything
like that, have you? That's the way the Bible, the Bible is described
as, as like a, like a, something that's went through the furnace
seven times, purified seven times. Perfectly pure. Okay? Alright. Now go back to Job,
Job chapter 28. Job 28. Watch this. Now, like I said,
we're going to, we're going to see something that deals with
prophecy. and of course when you deal with prophecy most of
the time you deal with the second coming of Christ okay? Now look
at verse 2, Job 28 verse 2 iron is taken out of the earth and
brass is molded out of the stone okay? Now notice something else
in verse 5 verse 5 as for the earth out of it cometh bread
and under it turns up as if it were fire. Okay? And notice something here. You
got the items found in these chapters that you got in Daniel.
Remember in Daniel, Daniel had a dream. And he dreamed about
an image. And that image was a man. Amen? And the man's head and shoulders
were typified by gold. Remember that? Then it says, Brass and brass
is what the is what the thighs were and iron is what the legs
were and Clay is what the toes were say so you're gonna deal
with prophecy here You say and uh, so notice in verse 5 that
that clay also comes from dirt You see that clay comes from
dirt. All right, so you have a connection
here that deal with prophecy say and Now look up that verse
1 again, and notice what we're talking about. Surely there is
a vein for the silver and a place for gold where they find it. Don't say find it, F-I-N-D, find
it. It's talking about refining.
You see that? F-I-N-E. It's not F-I-N-D. Okay? It's talking about refining.
Or I said iron is taken out of the earth. And of course you
know that's Pigative, it does. And brass is molded out of the
stone. Verse 3, He. Now who is He there? He is God. Amen? They says something
about God, He setteth an end to darkness and searcheth out
all perfection, the stones of darkness and the shadows of death.
Okay? So, God search out an end to darkness.
Okay? Because in heaven there's no
darkness. And anywhere there's God, there's
no darkness. Because the Bible said God is light. And you can't
have darkness in the presence of light. Okay? And notice something
else in that verse. He talks about the shadows of
death. And the shadows of death have something to do with tribulation.
I mentioned this already a while back. There's something that's
going to go over the earth that's going to form a shadow. And anybody
that gets under that shadow is going to die. That's in the tribulation.
Okay? Now look at verse 4. Verse 4.
The flood breaketh out from the inhabitants, even the waters
forgotten of the foot. They are dried up, they are gone
away from men. Alright? Now he's talking about
the flood back in Noah's day. Now I want to give you one reference
on that. Go back to Genesis. Chapter 7, I think. I'm going to read you one reference
on this thing. I'm going to show you something about this about
the flood. You know, you don't hear a lot
about this. I don't ever remember in school ever reading about
the flood of Noah's day. And you know what? This world
today is in a condition of sin and that's because of the flood.
Of course, they teach evolution to believe the Bible. But anyway,
go back over there and let me read it to you. Genesis chapter
7. You got it? Genesis 7 verse 11. Okay? Genesis 7 verse 11, the Bible
says, In the six hundred year of Noah's life, in the second
month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were
all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows
of heaven were opened. Now, I don't know if you know
or not, but that flood, that water rose over 28,000 feet. That means that water was rising
about 6 inches per second. Have you ever seen it rain that
hard? Huh? 28,000 feet that water went
up over the water. And that's why you got the condition
of Earth today, that flood changed the whole surface of the earth,
like the Grand Canyon out there, that's the result of the flood.
Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas, that area is dry because of the
flood. All that out there is due to
the flood. Amen? Now of course, they don't believe
that, but that's the way it is. Now go back to Job, there's some
more in that verse, verse 5. As for the earth, out of it cometh
bread, and under it turneth up as it were fire. Okay? Now under this earth there's
fire. There's no doubt about that.
The Bible says this. And He said the ground produces
bread. Amen? Now, let me show you something
on that. Let's see, Isaiah. Isaiah 55. We looked at this
here a while back. Let's look at it again. Isaiah
chapter 55. And notice in verse Verse 9,
Isaiah 55 verse 9. Okay? Isaiah 55 verse 9, the Bible
says, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are
my ways higher than your ways, and my faults than your faults.
Well, I'm glad of that in a sense, ain't you? I mean, if God's ways
and God's thoughts weren't any higher than ours, then we wouldn't
need God. Amen? God don't do things our
way and uh God don't think like we think Amen, and the only way
you can do things God way and think like God get in the Bible
see what God had to say about it Amen there's something else
look at verse of Verse verse 10 Isaiah 55 verse 10 First the
rain coming down and the snow from heaven and And returneth
not hither, it watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and
bud. Alright, notice two things that the water and snow do. You
got two items, you got water and snow, and you got two products
from that water and snow. Number one is, it giveth seed
to the sower, and bread to the eater. Okay? seed to the sower
and bread to the eater. Now you gotta say one thing about
the north. The north has better ground than we do because they
get the snow. We don't get the snow. The only advantage the
south has over the north is that we can make two crops a year,
sometimes three. They can't make but one. Amen? But the ground up there is a
lot better for producing fruit. If you don't believe it, you
can take some of that corn they grow and it's a lot bigger than
what we grow down here. Amen? And they don't need all the high-powered
fertilizer we use now, and I'm not going to get into that, but
they get the snow. Snow is one of the best fertilizers
there is. Amen? And we don't get no snow down
this far, amen? Alright? Now here's something else. That
water in the Bible is type of what? Type of what? The Word of God, isn't it? Look
at the next verse, verse 11. Isaiah 55, 11. So shall my word
be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto
me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the things whereof I send it. Now I read that verse,
I've been using that verse for 25 or 30 years. That's what's
kept me going a lot of times. I say what's the use? People
don't come, they're not interested. Can't get nobody to come to church,
they won't listen to the word of God. But God says His word won't return
void, it'll do something to you. Amen? All God asks us to do is
put it out. It'll work for you, or it'll
work against you. Amen? You can't, listen folks,
there ain't no way in the world you can take the Word of God
and just ignore it. Amen? Like I said, it'll work
with you, it'll work on you. And that's why people don't like
it. I mean, no doubt about that. Okay? Now, go back to Job, we've
got time just about up here tonight. Job 28, and look at verse 5. As for the earth, out of it cometh
bread. That's what the devil wanted
Jesus to do in Matthew chapter 4. He said, if I be the Son of
Christ, make these stones to turn to bread. Okay? And there's
one thing that Jesus performed that's recorded in all four Gospels,
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and that is the feeding of the
5,000 to show that God has Bread for the whole world. Amen? Now look at verse 6, Job 28 verse
6. The stones of it are the place
of sapphire, and it hath dust to go. Okay? The stone, that is the stones
under the earth. Verse 7. There is a path which no fowl
knoweth, and which the vultures eye hath not seen." It's talking
about a place where a bird can't fly and not even a bird has ever
seen it. So verse 8, the Bible says, "...the
lion's whelp hath not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed
on it." They had them, of course, under the earth. It's under the
earth, see. In verse 9, look at there, "...he
put forth his hand upon the rock, He overturneth the mountains
by the roots. You see, it's something underground.
It's something underground. Alright? Now look at verse 10. Verse 10. He cutteth out rivers
among the rocks, and his eyes seeth every precious thing. Okay,
it's underground waters, see? And even though all this stuff's
underground, God sees clear everything. See? God sees clear through the
earth. God sees everything under the
earth. God sees everything in the earth. Okay? Now look at
verse 11. He bindeth the floods from overflowing,
and the thing that is hid he bringeth forth to light. You
can part there and preach that verse right there, but I'm just
going to say a few things about it. Twice God did this, back
in Genesis 1. when this earth was drownded
out. And again in Genesis 7, 8 in Noah's day. In other words,
it's saying nothing can be hid from God. He'll bring everything
to light. See? And so, that's a good verse. I'll tell you why. I'll tell
you what it tells you, if you don't understand it. It tells
you this. The other thing you're going to do wrong, God's going
to bring it out and deal with it. One of the greatest things the
devil Let me ask you something tonight.
Some of you folks, you ought to know this. There's one thing
that God won't ever bring to light. What is it? One thing. And that's sins under
the blood. Okay? You ain't got to worry
about that. Alright? One of the biggest tricks
the devil ever pulled on this nation, especially our young
generation, was to make them think that if it's dark, and
the music is loud, and the smoke is thick, God don't know what's
going on. Hmm? I remember in Psalms chapter
90 verse 8, David said, Our secret sins are in the light of His
countenance. See? In other words, what you
think, well, don't nobody know this but me, and I ain't gonna
tell. It's just like if you went out and done something real rotten,
okay? You said, I'm glad nobody don't
know about that and all of a sudden it's put on a movie screen in
a bright light and everybody sees it. Huh? Now you think about this. Think
about this. Suppose that, I'll make it easy
on you. Just suppose that everything
that you did from the time you got up this morning to right
now was brought out. How would you stand right now? That wouldn't be good for some
folks, I don't know. You might get by one day, I don't know.
But I hate to think that everything I ever did or thought about doing
or wanted to do was brought out. If I told you some things I thought
about doing, you probably wouldn't believe it. If you told me some
things you thought about, I may not believe them either. But
you see, that's the reason we want to keep our life in the
light of the Bible. Of course, it's going to come out anyway. Alright, verse 12. Verse 12,
and here's something for you. Now, here's what Joe said. Two
questions here. And I'm going to give an answer
to them tonight before I quit. That's all I'm going to do now,
that's it. But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place
of understanding? Okay? Now he's saying this, if
God can see everything, everywhere, and God knows everything, and
He does, Job said, I know where the stones of darkness are, I
know where the iron is, I know where the The gold is, I know
where the silver is. He said, but where do you find
wisdom and understanding? See? Now he said in the conclusion
of this chapter, he's already said that the fear of the Lord,
that's wisdom. And understanding to depart from
evil. But where do you find wisdom and understanding? Do you know? Well, I'm going to show you.
I'm going to show you. And it sure ain't a college education,
folks. Take a Bible turn to Colossians chapter 2. I'm going to show
you something tonight, now right here. This is one of those verses to
me I kind of live by. Because I try to follow a lot
of the Bible. This is something that I've tried
to live by right here. Because I believe the Bible,
folks. I believe what the Bible says. In Colossians chapter 2,
and look at verse 2. Colossians 2 verse 2. Okay? You with me? Colossians 2 verse
2, the Bible says, "...that their heart might be comforted, being
knit together in love, and all riches of the full assurance
of understanding to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of
the Father, and of Christ." Now look at the next verse. "...and
Him." Who's Him? That's Christ. Okay? In whom
are hid, see that thing? Now the Bible says he's going
to bring the hidden things to light. Okay? The Bible says in
whom are hid all the treasures. See that? There's the valuables. There's the, would you like to
have a treasure? The Bible says are hid, but there's
something you know where it is not hid is it? I mean, if you
know where something is, it's not here to you. Okay? Alright? "...in whom are hid
all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Now, here's what I hear. If you
want to be smart, if you want to be an intellectual genius,
I'll tell you how to do it. You don't have to go to college.
Get to know Christ. Amen? Now you get to know Christ. Well, first you got to get saved.
You got to trust Him. Okay? And you believe on Him
and trust Him. How do you get to know Him after
that? Hmm? By the book that reveals Christ.
The Word of God. The Bible. Amen? You see that? Listen folks, you don't need
a college education to have wisdom and knowledge. As a matter of
fact, it seems to me like most people have a college education
They're wicked and sinful and stupid. A man goes to college
and gets all these degrees and comes out and doesn't even believe
the Bible. No fear of God. No knowledge of God. Let me tell
you something. Listen to me. They say get a
college education. I'm not against that. I'm not
trying to say don't. But I'm saying this. You get a college education,
that's in your head, right? When you're gone, that's gone.
You get Christ in your heart, that's forever. Now, what's the
most important? Well, it depends on how you look
at it, doesn't it? I mean, you look at it through wisdom, and
you'll see you need Christ. You look at it through the worldly
wisdom, and you'll see you don't need Christ. Now, the devil can
give you wisdom to a certain point. He can't give you the
wisdom of God, What is the wisdom of God? 1 Corinthians chapter
1 verse 30, the Bible says Christ, the wisdom of God. Okay? In other
words, to have God's wisdom and to know God's wisdom, you've
got to have Christ. So I'm saying people don't have the wisdom
of God. You listen? And I don't care what's in your
head or what you know or what your qualifications are, your
abilities are, if you don't know Christ, you don't know nothing
of any value. Amen? That's why some of these
old farm boys get saved and have to read, you know, they say,
uh, for I would that you, that's how they read. And yet they got
more spiritual wisdom than some of these college graduates, PhDs.
You know why? Because they know Christ. You
go by some old backwoods, hear some old women get up and sing
that, you know, that say, uh, uh, oh how I love Jesus, you
know, I've heard them. Let me tell you something, that's
more real than these professionals. You know why? Because that's
coming, they're singing about somebody they know. See? It's not like these professionals
that go off and learn how to be professional. Listen folks,
don't learn how to be professional, learn how to be real. See? And
the Bible says, I preached on a message one time, that in Christ
is all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now Job
asked that question. Job asked that question.
