Looking at our world from a theological perspective. This is the Theology Central Podcast, making theology central. Do you subscribe to a live TV streaming service? Maybe Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu Live. Do you use a live TV streaming service? Maybe you're one of those, you're still using cable. Maybe you're using a cable live TV service, right? Maybe you're still using satellite of some sort, a DirecTV or maybe Dish Network. Maybe you're using one of those. But if you're using anything to watch live TV. Maybe just maybe you will consider a different live TV streaming service and maybe it will meet your needs a little better. Maybe it will be something you would find to be very useful and maybe it would save you a lot of money. I don't know if it would be what you would want, but it may be something you will consider. And we will talk about that live TV streaming service right after I say, Good morning, everyone. It is Tuesday, March the 25th, 2025. It is currently 11.51 a.m. Central Time, and I am coming to you live from the Theology Central studio located right here in Abilene, Texas. Now, for this podcast, I try to do a lot of different things, right? I mean, obviously we talk about theology, we talk about theology. Sometimes I like to kind of mix in some different things, right? I mean, we've been talking about the Salem witch trials in a narrative form. We did a little episode about an 80s pop song. and how Christianity stole that from me. I do like to mix in different things. We sometimes do, you know, sermon reviews. Sometimes we're doing more a Bible study. I like to throw in as many different things as possible. Sometimes we do news commentary. A lot of times it has a very serious tone. And you hear me express a lot of my frustration and irritation, but I do like to try to mix in some different things. So I thought today, I would take just a few minutes to tell you about a streaming TV service. One that some of you will find possibly interesting, others will be like, nah, no way, no way. Because, I mean, no matter what service you recommend or you tell people about, it's not going to make everyone happy. But I do know this. I don't know how prominent this is still in 2025, but there was a time that many Christians, many that may listen to a Christian podcast or a theology-based podcast, many of them are very, very strict about what they will watch or what they will not watch. So many of them Well, we're not going to get Netflix, or we're not going to get Mac, or we're not going to get Peacock. There's a lot of services that maybe they will not get because they don't like some of the content that is on it. Now, it doesn't matter which service anyone recommends, there's always going to be something you don't like. But maybe, maybe this service that I'm going to tell you about, maybe it will make some of you a little happier who are very strict. Maybe for some of you, it's not that you're very strict. You're just not interested in paying as much money as it costs for some streaming services. Maybe some of you are just looking to try something a little different, a little off the beaten path. It doesn't matter maybe which category you fit into. I want to tell you about a streaming service that maybe, maybe it's one that you've not heard of. Maybe it's one that's, so far off the beaten path that maybe you're not even familiar with it. And it is called Friendly TV. That is spelled F-R-N-D-L-Y. Friendly TV. F-R-N-D-L-Y. Again, F-R-N-D-L-Y. Friendly. There's no I. Maybe because they're trying to save us from vowels or maybe Maybe they're trying to save us from high cable bills, if I really want to try to sound like I'm giving you a commercial. Now, remember, I'm not, not remember, because I haven't told you yet, just so that you know, I'm not connected with Friendly TV in any way, shape, or form. They're not paying me. They're not a sponsor, nothing. I just have used the Friendly TV service numerous times. I will subscribe, then I will stop subscribing, then I will subscribe. I go through back and forth. but it's it's one because of its cost it's really easy to try in any given time because it doesn't cost that much but i do find it somewhat unique it's it's kind of its own niche but i i think it's one that you should know about again it's called friendly tv f-r-n-d-l-y there isn't an i f-r-n-d-l-y friendly television you can look it up on well it you just if you're using apple tv it doesn't matter what a platform you're utilizing. Even if you're using a smart TV, you should be able to find a friendly TV app. So what is it? Well, Friendly TV is a live TV streaming service built around what they would pretty much classify as family-friendly, classic, and comfort TV programming. I think that's probably a good way to describe it. Now, some of it's very family-friendly. There's other things that some people may say, well, that's not very family-friendly. Okay, let me just make it very clear. It doesn't matter what you suggest, someone's not going to like something. Okay? Especially within the Christian world. One person will say, this TV program is okay. Another person will say, that TV program was created by the Illuminati and reptilians and they're trying to destroy your life. It doesn't really matter what you suggest. There's going to be a Christian out there who doesn't like it. But their marketing, I mean, it's called friendly TV, right? It's called friendly TV. So the basic idea behind it when it was kind of originally launched was to be family-friendly classic television and some would just called comfort programming, right? Something you can just throw on. and binge watch for five hours, you know, just something that's easy to watch. If you're someone who loves shows, maybe like the Waltons, Matlock, Andy Griffith Show, Little House on the Prairie, old Westerns, old sitcoms, then this is, friendly television would be basically a goldmine, if you're a goldmine, if you're really into that type of thing. Now Friendly TV launched back in 2019, it pretty much had a pretty clear mission, offer a simple affordable way to watch wholesome TV. The kind that doesn't rely on shock value or reality show drama. And the best part, it delivers exactly that without really any clutter. I mean, it's pretty simple. It's pretty straightforward. You're good. Now you may say, well, they need to offer more. I mean, that's what everyone say. It doesn't matter what you suggest. Somebody's like, well, it doesn't have this, or it doesn't have this. Yeah, there's going to be things it doesn't have, especially once you hear the cost, you're gonna see, well, there's gonna have to be some things that it limits on. So what do you get? Friendly TV gives you, I think now it's over 50 channels. I believe it's over 50 channels now. Let me look, let me verify. I believe it's over 50 channels now. I don't wanna give you wrong information. Let's see here, I believe it's over 50. Yeah, over 50 channels now, live and on demand, over 50 channels. At one point it was at 40, over 40, but it's over 50 channels now. And that depends on your package and what you're going to include or not include. Some of the channels are MeTV, MeTV Plus, and MeTV Tunes. I mention those three because those are very, very popular right now. Very popular, and they've increased in their popularity over the last few years. MTV Tunes was launched, I think, a year ago, and to a lot of fanfare, and a lot of people have really praised it. So if you like classic television, I mean, you get those three. Me TV. I don't want to say MTV. Me TV. Me TV Plus and Me TV Twos. Did I say MTV? See, that's someone who was watching a lot of MTV in the 80s and that would not be friendly TV to most of you. In fact, MTV... was viewed as the devil's tool to destroy an entire generation of young people, right? So we're not talking about MTV, we're talking about MeTV, right? MeTV, MeTV+, and MeTV Tunes, they have, again, all of those have grown in popularity over the last few years. Again, MeTV launched, MeTV Tunes launched, again, I think about a year ago, two years ago, to a lot of fanfare and a lot of popularity. And of course, if you like classic television, Those are the channels. A lot of systems will give you MeTV, but they do not offer MeTV+. Many of them that offer MeTV also do not offer MeTV Tunes. In fact, basically the only way you can really get MeTV Tunes right now is on just a couple of platforms, and Friendly TV is one of the main ones. They also have what's INSP. It used to be the Inspirational Network. They've shortened it to INSP. It used to be filled with Bible teaching and that type of thing. They kind of moved away from that. Now it's Westerns, more Westerns, and more Westerns. They have GRIT. Western Bound. So just those three between INSP, Grit, and Western Bound, you get a ton of Westerns and family dramas. They also offer FETV, Get TV, Heroes and Icons, Laugh, which gives you a great mix of sitcoms, crime, and action. And of course, for those who love Hallmark, they've got you covered. They have the Hallmark, a lot of different Hallmark channels, plus they have Hallmark Plus, which is an add-on service where you get Hallmark Movies, Mysteries. They have the Weather Channel, the Game Show Network, and we'll go through many others. And you can stream live just like regular cable, or you can use their on-demand library for shows and movies that have already aired. Now, what are some of the cool features for friendly TV? I think one of the probably most interesting feature is what's known as the 72-hour look-back. Everything that is played on the entire service for 72 hours, you don't have to record. You just go back and look at the section called 72 hour look back and everything that's played on the service, everything that's played on the service for 72 hours is just available. You just go back and then boom, you click on it and it will play. You don't even have to record it. So anything that's played on the service in 72 hours, you can just go back and start it. All right. So if you miss something, there is no problem. You can rewind and watch anything that aired in the last three days. It also does have a DVR. You can record what you want and keep it up to nine months, depending on your plan. and that's key, depending on your plan, you can have up to four screens at one time playing with your premium plan. If you get a premium plan, then you have multiple streams, up to four logins, up to four logins. So it makes it very affordable, especially if you've got other people who want to contribute or help pay for it. You don't really need a lot of people, but up to four different people can log in if you're using the premium plan. I think the interface is pretty simple, pretty clean. Seriously, it's not overloaded in any way, shape, or form. You shouldn't be spending 10 minutes scrolling. It should just take you a few minutes. Now, I guess it could take you a 10-minute scrolling. If you just go through the guide, it's really simple. If you go to the 72-hour look back, maybe that will take you 10 minutes. If you go through all of your recordings, maybe that could take you 10 minutes. If you go through all the on-demand content, maybe that could add a little bit. But it's not, I don't think it's, I think it's pretty simple, clean interface. I think that that's fair to say. It works on pretty much anything. Apple TV, Fire Stick, smart TVs, phones, tablets, basically anything you have. Roku, Roku, Roku, however you say it correctly, but everyone always makes fun because I say it incorrectly, so now I'm self-conscious, right? But Roku, it works perfectly on that. Basically, whatever you have, friendly TV will work. Now the pricing, this is where many people feel it gets a lot better, right? Now the first plan, I would not suggest the first plan. I don't know why they offer the first plan. Seems kind of ridiculous in 2025, but it's $7.99 a month. It only allows you for one stream and it's only SD, standard definition video. Please don't get that one. I don't know who would be using SD video and it has no DVR. So the basic plan, I would just say don't even try. The classic is $9.99 a month, two streams, HD video, and a three month DVR. So anything you record will only stay there for three months. All right, that's a pretty affordable, but to me, I would just go with the premium. It's $11.99 a month, four streams, HD, and a nine month DVR storage. You really can't beat that. You have no contracts. You can cancel any time. And I think it's fair to say this is a very super budget-friendly, especially for what you get. All right? And based on what you get, let me just tell you about a couple of just examples of some things you get. Again, we'll look at some more details here in a minute. But just for example, just for example. So if you have a subscription to Friendly TV, Let's say you're nostalgic for the golden era of television. One of the channels on friendly television is Catchy Comedy, and it has brought back the magic of CBS's legendary 1970s Saturday Night lineup. Now, that lineup in the 1970s for CBS was, to say legendary would be, it's iconic in how famous it was. And they started this on January the 4th. They started airing, so on Saturday nights, 8 p.m., you get All in the Family, 8.30 you get MASH, 9 o'clock you get the Mary Tyler Moore Show, 9.30 you get the Bob Newhart Show, and 10 p.m. you get the Carol Burnett Show. This lineup recreates the iconic CBS Saturday night schedule that dominated TV ratings and became a staple in many households. So it's a fantastic opportunity to relive those classics, but to kind of experience them maybe for the first time. You have them right there lined up one after another on a Saturday night, and it's just going to be like, well, kind of in some ways reliving what it would have been like watching that in the 1970s on CBS. Now, the Saturday Night lineup on CBS in the 1970s is widely considered one of the most iconic programming blocks in television history, and here's why it earned its legendary status. It featured groundbreaking, critically acclaimed shows. The lineup was stacked with some of the most innovative and smartly written and culturally relevant sitcoms and dramas at the time. All in the family, they tackled social and political issues head on, redefining the modern sitcom. The Mary Tyler Moore Show showcased an independent working woman groundbreaking for its time with sharp humor and incredible character development. The Bob Newhart show, dry wit, understated charm, and a masterclass in comic timing, a perfect follow-up to the emotional highs of the Mary Tyler Moore show. And then you had the Carol Burnett show, a variety sketch show that blended comedy, music, and celebrity gifts, closing out the night with laughs and heart. At other times during that famous CBS lineup, they would rotate in shows like MASH, The Jeffersons, and The Odd Couple, which were all strong contributors. Another reason it's so iconic, it was a ratings and awards juggernaut. Those shows consistently ranked in the top 10, they won dozens of Emmys, and critics called it, are you ready? This is what it was called back then, the greatest night of television ever. All right, now, a lot of people would say, well, that's a little hyperbole. Maybe it was, but it's viewed, again, as almost this iconic thing that happened in time. Also, CBS built the evening like a carefully crafted concert. It started strong with social commentary and laughs, all in the family. Then a deep connection with heartfelt character work, the Mary Tyler Moore show. Then they would smooth things out with clever, relatable humor, Bob Newhart. Then they would send you to bed smiling with variety and absurdity, the Carol Burnett show. It created a sense of trust. You could turn on CBS Saturday night and be entertained for hours. The cultural impact of that lineup, people arranged their weekends around this lineup. It was multi-generational, families watched together. It gave us enduring characters like Archie Bunker, Mary Richards, Emily Hartley, and others. So you can You can see that they basically on this channel, again, a part of the Friendly Television Service, they recreated the CBS Saturday Night lineup. And every Saturday night it's there. Now you say, well, back then I had to be there on Saturday night. I had to sit there. Well, now, of course, you have the 72-hour look back. So you can look back on it even if you didn't record it. But if you recorded it, then you have them right there and then you can watch them whenever you want in the order that they aired so that you can recreate your own CBS Saturday Night lineup in the 70s. In fact, it wasn't just good, it became a model for TV programming strategy. And decades later, networks like Catchy Comedy recreated because it still resonates. It wasn't just a lineup, it was what would have been called back then, and I think today the term is still used, event television. All right, so that's just one example of one channel on the Friendly Television Service doing something very unique, very creative, recreating a TV lineup that was popular for a very long time and changed television forever. That's just one example. Another example, another example. Late last night, I was using the Friendly TV Service And all of a sudden, this scene popped up on my screen. This was a part of Me TV Plus. And it was two kids on a seesaw. Black and white, two kids on a seesaw. As soon as I saw the scene, I was like, what, pause? I'm like, and I took a screenshot of it. As soon as I saw the scene, I'm like, what in the world? And I'm like, that is the iconic television scene. Does anybody know this iconic television scene? Two kids on a seesaw. One kid, if I'm looking at the screen, the kid on the left, he's black. The kid on the right, is white. Now that may not mean anything to you in 2025. You may be like, who cares? But when that aired, it was somewhat revolutionary. See, it was two kids, one black, one white, just playing on a seesaw. Might seem simple today, but in the context of the little rascals originally called our gang, in that era, It was genuinely revolutionary. When I saw it last night, I'm like, oh, this is the scene. This is the scene that, I mean, anyone who knows anything about TV history. It was radically inclusive for its time. Our gang began in 1922 during the height of racial segregation and Jim Crow laws. Hal Roach, the producer of Our Gang or The Little Rascals, he intentionally cast black and white children together as equals, not side characters, not stereotypes, just kids being kids. It was the very first major series in American film history to do this in such a natural, regular way. It wasn't played for drama. It was just normal. The beauty was in the casualness. There's no talking about race. They're just playing. That silent, playful equality was a statement on its own. It was subtle, but it was deeply subversive, It's time and this aired last night again on friendly television me TV Plus as soon as the scene came on I was like, there's the classic there It is a lot of people don't even know that if you showed people that scene today, they'd be like, yeah, who cares? Who cares? It was revolutionary. It was subversive. It was it was pretty amazing what was taking place right there and It reached millions of homes. By the time it was syndicated, The Little Rascals in the 50s and beyond, it introduced multiple generations to the idea of friendship that crossed racial lines, long before the civil rights movement would even catch up, before society even caught up. There it was on The Little Rascals, this subversive revolutionary scene. Different characters, like Stymie and Buckwheat. Black characters weren't just comic relief, they were a regular part of the core gang and some of the most beloved figures in the series. They were brave, they were funny, they were compassionate, and often they were the ones who solved the problem of the episode. That kind of representation, especially for black children in the 1920s through the 1940s, was absolutely unheard of. And there it was last night, late last night, on friendly television. So again, it's a very niche streaming service, but for the cost, you kind of get a goldmine of TV history. It's right there. So I want you to at least consider it. Now, if the classic, they still have more. So let me just add a little bit more here to some of the things. So let's say you enjoy kind of already the basic lineup of friendly television, but maybe you want to add a little bit more. You can go deeper into movies, into true crime, or faith-based content. There are a few add-ons you can tack on right inside the Friendly app. Here's what each one offers and why you might want to check it out. You have what's called Hallmark Plus. This feature provides additional Hallmark content, includes more movies. It basically offers a rotating selection of Hallmark Channel original movies, including exclusive titles not airing on the Hallmark Channel. It includes past seasons of shows like When Calls the Heart. Obviously, for those who love the holiday movies on Hallmark, basically, they're all right there, so you can watch them off-season. Well, they're all right there. It's called Hallmark Plus, so if you have the friendly TV service, you can add it for $7.99 per month, and then you get, well, all of that Hallmark content on demand. You don't have to wait for it. They also have, now this is where some people would not be happy with this, they have the Lifetime Movie Club. This is for fans of mystery, drama, and those classic Lifetime-style twists. Full access to a library of Lifetime original movies, a mix of true crime thrillers, romantic dramas, so wild it must be fiction type plots. No ads, just movie after movie after movie. It features a commercial free library of all of their content. And it offers, not only adds new movies, it also add theme playlists are added each week. and the pricing for that is $4.99 per month. So these are add-ons you can add on to the Friendly TV service. So if you look at the 50 plus channels and you're like, well, I want a little bit more, you can add Hallmark Movie. That's no longer called Hallmark Movies now. Hallmark Plus, they rebranded it. You have Lifetime Movie Club, or for those who like their documentaries and True Crime. If you're into true crime documentaries or real police footage, this is your rabbit hole. It's called A&E Crime Central. It's packed with series like The First 48, American Justice, Cold Case. It deep dives into investigations, forensic analysis, and real detective work. New content is added on a regular basis, has over 2,000 episodes available on demand, and you can add A&E Crime Central to friendly television for $4.99 per month. But if you want maybe something completely different, some may say this is the most underrated add-on. It's the History Vault. If you like well-produced historical documentaries, the History Vault would be for you. Has over 2,000 documentaries pulled from the History Channel archives. Covers everything from World War II, ancient Egypt to technology, presidents, cultural shifts, greats for students. History buffs are just a casual learner, and you can get that added on for $4.99 per month. Oh wait, there's another add-on. I almost forgot the other one. Think of this as the Christian streaming service, Inside Friendly. It's called the Great American Pure Flix. Faith-based movies and series, family-friendly family programming with supposed Christian values, Original Series, Kids Content, Uplifting Series. Its price is, it's one of the more expensive add-ons, $8.99 a month. All of those can be added on. Now, one good thing to know, that all of these come, all of those add-ons come with a seven-day free trial, so you could test them before committing and seeing if it's really worth it. And for subscribers interested in multiple add-ons, Friendly TV offers a bundled package of Lifetime Movie Club, History Vault, and A&E Crime Central, I believe for 9.99 a month, providing a cost-effective way to access all three. All right, so if you want to add to it. So there's the Friendly TV service. I think I've kind of gone through all of the features. I've talked about specific content. Now just to show you, I'm just going to reach down here. When I say show you, this is an audio podcast, so I really can't show you. But I'm going to take my iPad Pro here. All right, and I'm going to open up the Friendly app. Again, I'm going to close this out. OK, I'm going to open up the Friendly TV app on my iPad. It's on two televisions downstairs. It's on the iPad here. So if I open this up, the very first thing that shows up, the very first thing is Hallmark Channel. When? Calls the heart. And if I miss the finale, I can watch it right now. I have Stadium Lockup from A&E. I have The Way Home from the Hallmark. I have the first 48, Pawn Stars, Swamp Mysteries, the Curse of Oak Island. That's just on the banner right at the top. All right, if I'm going, I'm gonna, I could go here through all the things that are offered. They have recommended for me based on my viewing. They have new episodes airing weekly of certain shows. Because I watched an episode of Taxi, it gives me other shows I could possibly watch. It gives me what's trending right now. What's trending right now is The Waltons, Hoarders, Matlock, Murder, She Wrote, Hudson and Rex, I Love Lucy, Chicago Fire, Storage Wars, House of Hanna-Barber, Last Man Standing, Deal or No Deal, Diagnosis Murder. They got a bunch of shows that are currently trending now. Most Watched, they give some things here. So this is all just on your home tab. Oh, here it is, 72 hour look back. If I want the 72 hour look back, I can go here to view more. Here's the 72-hour look back. The Quiet Man with John Wayne. That aired at 10.30 a.m. on Monday. It's still available. History's Greatest Mysteries. Who is D.B. Cooper? That aired on Monday. I can watch it. The movie Cannonball Run aired. I can watch that. Garage Sale Mysteries from Hallmark. It's there. I mean, I can go on and on and on. There's all the stuff that's aired for the last 72 hours. It's right there. You don't even have to record it. If I go to Guide, let me just go through all the channels. I'm gonna go through these quickly, all right? Here's the Guide. At the very top, A&E. Right now, Customer Wars are currently airing. Next, MeTV, Gunsmoke is currently airing. MeTV Tunes, Pie Pie and Pals is currently airing. The History Channel is currently, is the next, and The Unexplained is currently airing. Then ION is next, Chicago Fire is currently airing. Then Hallmark Channel, A Second Chance at Love is currently airing. Then Hallmark Mysteries, Matlock is currently airing. UP TV, Walker Texas Ranger is currently airing. MeTV+, TJ Hooker is currently airing, and then after that, the next thing that will be on MeTV+, is a classic episode of the classic SWAT TV show. Then Lifetime, Major Crimes is currently airing. Lifetime Movie Network, the movie getting ready to begin is Black Girl Missing. Then the Weather Channel, Then Game Show Network has Wheel of Fortune on, and then another episode of Wheel of Fortune, then Jeopardy. Then Inspiration has a Western, the Raffleman Wagon Trail is airing. Grit has Tombstone Territory airing. The Western Bound has the Young Raiders currently airing. And Laff has a man with a plan getting ready to start. Great American Family, Murder, She Wrote. Hallmark Family, Highway to Heaven. Tastemade, Food and More, Struggle Mills. I can go on and on and on and on. Ion Plus has Murdoch Mysteries. Ion Mysteries has CSI Miami. Court TV is currently on. H&I, Heroes and Icons, The Unit is currently airing. Catchy Comedy, I Love Lucy is currently on. FETV, well now some Christians we get very bothered by this, Bewitched is on. And then let's see here, Ironside is on GetTV. Deep Sea Detectives is on the Military History Channel. Let's see, Great American Faith and Living Log Cabin Kings is currently on. And then, I mean, I'm just skipping through some of these because there's so many. Yeah, there's plenty here. I won't go through everything currently happening, but that's all, that's just the guide on Friendly Television. I can go to TV. the TV tab, live now, trending shows, continue watching, just added TV episodes, networks, coming soon, set your DVR, 72 hour look back, just recorded shows, X marks the spot, top tier crime, nostalgic favorites, most popular shows, When Calls the Heart, new episodes airing weekly, Journey Through Time, TV Time Capsule, Endless Entertainment, I mean just all these different categories. And then there's my stuff, everything that has been recorded and recordings that are expiring soon. And then they break down all of my content into the following categories, A through Z, Sitcoms, Dramas, Westerns, Documentaries, Comedies, and then it gives me all my scheduled recordings. There you have it. I think that's everything I can take you through on the app without showing you. That's the Friendly TV Service. So, I guess I'll just end it this way. Streaming services are piling up. Everyone knows that. There are so many. There are countless numbers of them. And they do get expensive. They keep increasing the cost, increasing the cost, increasing the cost. Especially if you want live TV, they continue to increase the cost. I think if, you know, the best thing probably to like about friendly television, it knows what it is, and knows what it's not, right? It's not trying to be, you know, take care of everything. It's not going to be adding all of your sports networks. It's not going to be, it doesn't have any news networks, no sports networks. It doesn't have any of that, right? It knows what it is. It's offering classic friendly type television, documentaries, a little mixture of true crime, history, Hallmark movies, classic television shows. It knows what it is. It's not trying to be Netflix. It's not trying to be Hulu. It's about nostalgia. It's about simplicity. It's about stuff you can have on in the background or sit and binge for hours. If you're into classic TV, Westerns, family-friendly programming, or you just maybe want something that's pretty simple, enjoyable, then maybe friendly TV is a great option considering what they are charging for it. They're still very small, small, small. They have like only like 700,000 subscribers. So they are like, You know, they're way off the beaten path. Nobody, I mean, even if I go to the app store, my Apple television, I look for the different, you know, apps for my Apple television streaming device. You don't even see Friendly TV. It's not even listed. You're going to see Hulu. You're going to see Disney Plus. You're going to see Netflix. You don't even see Friendly. You've got to go type it in. It's not even going to show up right there. So even if you look under live TV, you're going to have Sling, you're going to have Hulu Live, you're going to have Direct TV Stream. You're not going to find friendly TV. So it's way off the beaten path, but it may be something that you could be interested in. So I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell everyone about it. Maybe it will be for you, maybe not. You can get a seven day free trial. If you'll go to, let me type it in right here. If you go to try, T-R-Y dot friendly, that's F-R-N-D-L-Y-T-V, F-R-N-D-L-Y-T-V.com. That's try.friendlytv.com. You can watch seven days for free and you can try it. Now, it may be one of those things you say, well, I can get some of these channels on what I already use. Maybe you can, maybe then, I don't know. I know some of you will be like, well, I need this, I want this. Either way, you can try it and just see. Many cases on some of those others, you have, there's so much content. You can just sit there and scroll and scroll, you know, like I have direct TV stream, right? And sometimes there'll be like, there's like 9,000 channels here. I'm never gonna find anything. Sometimes less, I think there's that old saying, less is more, right? Now, of course, if I'm looking for sports or I'm looking for certain things, I'm going to have to go to a different service, obviously. But sometimes I want just simple, not cluttered, straightforward, comfort kind of TV, simple, easy, fun. Maybe I can, I mix it up. I've been utilizing artificial intelligence. I've been asking AI to make me a daily schedule. Like, hey, take these channels from Friendly TV and make me a schedule. So it's kind of been fun to see what AI will do. In fact, see here, I can give you some of the schedules it's giving me here really quick. It's pretty cool what AI can do. This is the one for March the 24th. It started at nine in the morning. Wanted me to watch an episode of The Waltons, season five, episode six, called The Firestorm. This is when John Boy printed a controversial article about Hitler causing turmoil. That's interesting that AI picked that to watch. Then they wanted me at 10 a.m. to watch Perry Mason, Season 6, Episode 15, The Case of the Prankish Professor. Perry defends a professor accused of murder after a prank goes wrong. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of Matlock, Season 3, Episode 10, The DJ. Matlock defends a radio personality accused of killing a rival. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. Walker protects a woman being hunted by a mob boss. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of NYPD Blue, a family murder case that's close to home. Then it wanted me to watch Laugh According to Jim. Jim reveals a family secret during Thanksgiving dinner, which is a comedy. Then it wanted me to go watch a Western, Bat Masterson, Dead Man's Claim. Bat investigates a murder tied to disputed gold claim. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of Sanford and Son. Then it wanted me to watch another episode of Sanford and Son. Then it wanted me to watch two episodes of MASH. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of The Andy Griffith Show. Then it wanted me to watch an episode of Gomer Pyle. Then Little House on the Prairie. It mixed all kinds of different things. And so it was just cool that artificial intelligence could just say, I can create your own you know, your own TV programming. So, and it gives me the channel, tells me the time. I thought that was interesting, but again, it could do that because of the limited number of channels. And I even gave it which channels I wanted it to look for. The point is with friendly television, because it's limited, And if you just limit yourself to that, even if just for seven days, even if just for one month, then you'll have to pick what's there and you can mix in some things maybe you probably wouldn't typically watch. So what I do is what AI tells me to watch, I watch, whether I want to watch it or not. Right. I'm like, what is it this morning? I had me watch an episode of the big valley and I'm like, well, I'm not necessarily a big fan of this classic Western TV series, but I'll watch it. It was actually a pretty good episode. I was like, okay, that's, that was good. Thanks. Thanks for that one. Thanks. All right. There you go. So. Friendly TV. Try it. Check it out. If you're interested. If you're not. Again, let me make it very clear, because someone's going to be like, well, there's some things on there that a Christian shouldn't watch. I'm not telling you to watch anything. I'm just telling you about a service. Are there things on there that many Christians would probably find acceptable? and happy and you would love to have it available for your kids. Let them watch some classic shows. Maybe they would watch it, maybe not. Maybe it will be for you. Maybe your family would like it. Maybe you feel safer with it. I don't know. For others, it's not even about friendly or family safe. Maybe it's just about something a little off the beaten path, something different. Mix it up, change it up. Watch some classic shows. Try something different. Maybe it's just, you know, create a, because a friendly TV, some channels will do little marathons and blocks. put some classic television episodes that all follow a certain theme together. And some of that's just fun. It's just something different. It's not about being family friendly. It's just about something different. So give it a try. If you try it out, let me know. Again, I don't get any money for this. I'm not, they're not a sponsor. They're not attached to this. I'm not attached to them. I just thought, well, let me tell everyone about it. So there you have it. Friendly TV. Again, you can check it out. by going to try.friendlytv, that's F-R-N-D-L-Y-T-V.com. It's the most affordable live TV streaming service. And it is. For 50 plus channels live streaming, you can't really get that. Will you get everything you want? Well, what do you expect? For 50 plus channels at what, $11.99 a month? You're not going, that's the premium service. You're not going to get everything you want. So I know I'm gonna get an email, well, they don't have this channel. Well, I'm not saying they do, okay? I tried to just tell you everything they have. All right, thanks for listening. I wanted to just offer a little informative program. to kind of break up our regular scheduled programming. There you have it. Thanks for listening. God bless.
