Daniel 49 - Confession Repentance Forgiveness

Daniel uses a Hebrew idiom which is also an English idiom: Shame-Faced. Hebrews brought this shame on themselves from their inception because they rejected God whom they could not see, but could see them; for idols whom they could see but could not see them; i.e., were powerless. They literally enslaved themselves to the Gentiles they emulated as set the pattern which will cause their downfall in Revelation: Destruction of the False Jews of Jerusalem. Forgiveness is given for the guilty who repent through confession.
