A man named Francis Bacon established what is called the scientific method. We'll talk more about Bacon in our next Evidence for God devotional, Lord willing. But the scientific method which Bacon established is defined as, quote, a systematic and empirical approach used to establish facts through testing and experimentation, end quote. In other words, real science involves observations, the formulation of a hypothesis based on those observations. Then you make predictions and then you experiment to test the hypothesis and confirm or refute the predictions. This end goal of this process isn't to support one hypothesis over another like you're rooting for one team or over the other. It's simply to get at the facts. You may be thinking, well, that's pretty obvious, isn't it? And the answer should be yes, but it's not. And this is also why it's important to read and study history, by the way. Ignorance of history breeds false notions and total misunderstandings of reality. You see, before Francis Bacon's scientific method was established, science was more about philosophy and opinion than it was observation and experimentation, or facts. In reality, there was very little real science before Bacon. As a matter of fact, before the establishment of the scientific method, it was believed that human observation using the senses of touch, sight, smell, taste, and hearing were unreliable. So men just relied on what others had already said in the past, others like Aristotle. And that settled matters. No observations or experiments. No observations at all. Hopefully, that sounds ludicrous to you, because it should. But sadly, modern science is held captive by a cult called scientism. And this fact can be seen clearly in the discussions of so-called climate change today. I recently watched a documentary put out by Joel Gilbert titled, The Climate According to A.I. Al Gore. It's comical seeing the face and hearing the voice of Al Gore admitting the facts about his exaggerations and misrepresentation of the real science regarding carbon emissions, as he completely misrepresents the words of people like Harvard professor Roger Revelle and others. In his book, Earth and the Balance, and in his documentary titled An Inconvenient Truth, Gore didn't do real science, but he reverted back to the dark age practices of the pre-science era before Francis Bacon. All Al Gore did was restate the words, after taking many of other people's words out of context, the words of crackpot zoologist named Fairfield Osborne in Osborne's book titled The Plundered Planet. In other words, Al Gore is an evangelist for the unscientific, anti-scientific cult of climate change. And the bottom line is that much of modern science and the bulk of Al Gore's claims that he makes are just anti-scientific philosophy. We're warned in Colossians 2.8, beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. We're also told in 1 Timothy 6.10, for the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. If that doesn't describe Al Gore, I don't know what does. Gore and the whole climate change scam is about money and power. It is the full display of Satan's attempt to deceive the world in efforts to form a one world government based on lies and deception. And as you read God's word, you can see that this scam is part of the antichrist system taking place exactly as predicted in the book of Revelation, especially Revelation chapter 13. And in so doing, the climate change scam and playing its part in building this beast world government system is actually proof that our King James Bible is given by inspiration of God. And that is, of course, evidence for God.
