Good afternoon, everyone. It's about 3.15 in the afternoon on Saturday, March the 22nd. Mark has been reading through the Book of Romans today. He's reading through the 12th chapter of Romans. I've entitled this message, Practical Instruction for the Christians. He starts out by saying, I beseech you, brethren, that you present your body as a living sacrifice. Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And he goes on to say that God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. He says we are members of one body, but all members have not the same office. He says that God gives different gifts to different people. He gives some the gift of prophesying, others teaching, others on exhortation. And he said that we should love each other without dissimulation. We should cleave to that which is good. We should be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love and honor preferring one another. We should not be slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in fibrillation, continuing instant in prayer, distributing to the necessity of the saints, giving to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you, bless and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another, mind not high things. Condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense no man evil for evil. Provide things in the sight of all men, if it be possible, as much as lieth in you. Live peaceably with all men. Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. Avenge not yourself. Therefore if thy enemy hunger, feed him. If ye thirst, give him drink. For in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans chapter 12, beseech you therefore brethren by the mercy of God that you present your body in a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable to God at which you read and will service. If you are not conforming to this world, but you be transforming by the newness of your mind that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, that every man that is among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, and think solely according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office, so we being many are one body in Christ, and every one member is one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophesied, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith. Our ministry, let us wait on our ministry, are he that teacheth. on teaching, or he that exhorteth on exhortation, he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity, he that ruleth with diligence, he that showeth mercy with cheerfulness. Let love be without dissimulation, abhor that which is evil, plead to that which is good, be kindly and affectionate one to another with brotherly love and honor, preferring one another to a king, not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patience, relation, continuing interest in prayer, Distribute unto the necessity of saints, give unto hospitality, bless them which persecute you, bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that you rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be ye of the same mind, one toward another. Mind not high things, but consent to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man, evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. be possible as much as lieth in you, live peacefully with all men. Dear beloved, avenge not yourselves, rather give place unto his wrath, for his written vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore, if thine is a meat-hunger, feed him, if he thirsts, give him drink, for in so doing thou shalt eat coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Okay, here we go. A lot of people don't recognize the fact that the Apostle Paul gave a lot of practical instruction for the Christian in exhortation and teaching and instruction and admonition. God bless.
