Barrier Breaker

Jesus "had to go through Samaria" because he was a man on a mission to seek and save the lost. The "woman at the well" had many barriers that prevented her from truly knowing and enjoying God, let alone being a part of the reconciled worshiping community. So Jesus sought her out and offered her the living water that both saves and satisfies. He shared with her the nature of true worship that transcends culture and place, and yields oneself wholeheartedly to the power of the Spirit and the truth of Jesus Christ.
