you Welcome to the pulpit ministry of the Clearview Baptist Church in Redmond, Oregon. It is our sincere desire to magnify the scriptures, to glorify the Lord, to testify of the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, to edify the Christian, and to notify the sinner. Jesus Christ said, in answer to Satan, in Matthew chapter 4 and verse 4, It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. It's our desire to be a blessing to you today. With our Bibles open, we invite you to listen to today's message. Thank you for standing. So let's open our Bibles back to the book of 1 Corinthians 3. We never made it there this morning, and I had you mark it, but didn't quite get there. And I didn't know if we would or not. So 1 Corinthians 3, we gave you an exhortation in view of the judgment seat of Christ and how our lives should be lived in the light of that day. This day and that day, one day at a time, one day at a throne. We ought to remember those truths and live our lives according to these things. And then we went from there to an explanation, giving some things concerning the judgment seat of Christ. Now, I give you the exposition, okay? This is the truth of the judgment seat laid out for us very clearly. And three things, I won't be very long, I don't believe, but three things. Number one, in 1 Corinthians 3, verses 1 through 5, we're going to see every man's Lord. This presents us with accountability. Accountability. We looked at that this morning in the exhortation. We'll briefly look at it from this text. Number 2, verses 6 through 9 of 1 Corinthians 3, we see every man's labor. This presents us with opportunity. We see the Lord. We see our accountability. We see our labor. This is opportunity. And then verses 10 through 15 is every man's life. And this presents us with responsibility. You will answer for you. I will answer for me, for my life. You will answer for your life. So the Lord, our accountability, our labor, our opportunity, and then our life. Now we are presented with responsibility. So let's get right into it. Verse number one, I'll read all five verses, give you the thought, and then we'll move along. 1 Corinthians 3 verse 1, And I, brethren... So again, this is for the believer. This is for the Christian, for saints. If you are not born again, this is not your judgment. Your judgment is Revelation 20, which ends up with, Whosoever was not found written in the Lamb's book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. You don't want to go to that judgment. "'And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk and not with meat, for hitherto you were not able to bear it. Neither yet now are ye able, for ye are yet carnal. For whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believe, even as the Lord gave to every man." Let me pray, and then we'll move along. Father, thank You for the day, Lord. I need Your touch. I need Your help. And I pray You'd bless the seed that was sown this morning. May it find good ground, bring forth much fruit for the glory of Jesus Christ. Help me now, Lord, to present the truth clearly, compassionately, Lord, with conviction, and Lord, that men might understand better, that they might be edified, and Lord, even convicted, Lord, challenge, change, I pray. Please, Lord, help us. I need your help. I need your touch in Jesus name. Amen. All right. So verses one through five, every man's Lord, which he is accountable to and verses one through four, we find first of all, the members. of the church. Remember, this was a letter written to the saints of God in the church of God, which was at Corinth, a local assembly filled with people like you and like me, normal, everyday people. So the members of the church are dealt with in verses 1 through 4. Sadly, in the case of Corinth, they were carnal. I want you to back up with me to chapter 2, and we've dealt with this on Wednesday nights. I'm not gonna deal with it in detail tonight, but we have looked at this before, so bear with me just a moment. Verse 14, But the natural man, Notice the phrase, the natural man. Verse 15, But he that is spiritual judges all things. Okay? So there is the natural man, there is the spiritual man. What sets them apart? What distinguishes these two? We'll back up. Verse 12, Now we have received not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God. So you are born a natural man. Lost, unregenerate, born, dead, and trespasses in sins, Ephesians 2, 1 and 2. But then if you get born again, you're indwelt by the Spirit of God and you move from the realm of the natural man to being a spiritual man. You're now possessed of two natures. You possess the old man, which is that natural man, but you possess the new man, which is Christ in you. You've been made partakers of God's divine nature, and now you're a spiritual man. Now, here's the problem. Too many people want to start acting like the natural man, following after the flesh rather than the spirit, and the spiritual man, you know where they end up? A carnal. A carnal man is not a lost man. He is a saved man acting like a lost man. Now, there will be chastisement. We preach on that this morning a little bit. We're just sons in this life. And so if you never have any chastisement, don't throw the word carnal on your name. You're lost. You need to be born again. But if you experience that chastisement, if you experience God working in you and God drawing you and there's a struggle back and forth, you're most likely plain carnal. or you're a spiritual man that's overcoming temptations and struggles, and this, that, and the other. But in Corinth, they were carnal. They were too interested in this life and in this world. They were dominated by the flesh, by their senses. They weren't living by faith. They were living by sight, how they could feel, what they could see, et cetera, et cetera. But this carnality, it is distinguished. That's not the right word. It is revealed in the life that is marked by number one, a lack of maturity. Carnal people are immature believers. Look at verse 1. I could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. These believers had not matured in their growth. They weren't advancing in their walk with God. Verse 1. They weren't advancing in the Word of God. Verse 2, I fed you with milk and not with meat. Well, you remember Hebrews 5 talks about the meat of the Word. First Peter 2 talks about the milk of the Word. What do you feed newborn babes? Not steak and chicken. pork and beans, none of that. You feed them with milk because they're babes. These people could only be fed with milk because they were immature babes. They had not matured in their walk with God, in the Word of God. Verse 3, He said, Ye are yet carnal. They hadn't matured in their witness for God. If you're going to remain a carnal believer, you're not going to be a bright witness for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your life always speaks louder than your lips. Always. Corinth, this was the sad situation. Not only they were not marked, they had not been, they had not matured in growth, but they had not matured in grace. Look at it, verse three. For whereas there is among you envying and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal and walk as men? For while one said, I am of Paul and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? Two things, verse three, he said, you're carnal and you walk. as men." We say, preacher, what are we? We're just human. True. But in this context of chapter 2, the natural man down into here, the spiritual and carnal man, the phrase that says, are you not carnal and walk as men, what Paul is saying is, you're walking like the unregenerate. You're not maturing in grace. What do you mean by that, preacher? Well, Titus chapter 2, hold your finger here. Let's go to Titus chapter 2. Let's look at it. Titus chapter 2. And give you just a brief explanation of what I mean by not maturing in grace. They were still walking as men. They were living like lost people. They were acting like they were still unregenerated, never been born again. How were they acting then? Well, here's how. Look at Titus 2, verse 11. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us. When you mature in the faith, when you mature in the grace of God, it is because you are willing and submitted to the education that the grace of God gives you. Well, what does the grace of God teach us in verse 12? That denying ungodliness and worldly lust. There's a good definition for carnality, ungodliness and worldly lust. but denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, that what? We should live how? Soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us, what? From all iniquity. But He didn't just purchase you. He wants to what? Purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Then did the preacher of these things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority, let no man despise thee. There's a lot of that going on today. That being said, they weren't maturing in grace. And I'm not going to go through the book. But I'll tell it to you like this. A man had his father's wife. Immorality. There was fornication. There was adultery. There was drunkenness. And we're about to see some of the things. But all this was in the church of God at Corinth. It was named among the saints. But according to Ephesians 5, these things which are named among the Gentiles, or in that context, lost people, should never be named, not once named, he said, among the saints. Yet that was the commonplace testimony of the saints of God in Corinth. Carnality is what marked their lives. They had not matured in growth. They had not matured in grace. They were walking as men, but they had not matured in grace because they were also worshiping men. Look at verse 4. One on this side said, I'm of Paul. Boy, now that's the spiritual crowd right there. Oh wait, I am of Apollos. Remember Apollos? He was mighty, the Bible says, fervent, mighty in the Scriptures. He spoke with eloquence. He would move you and affect you and stir you when he preached. That's the spiritual crowd. Well, you know what Paul says? That's nothing but carnality. You know what we have today? We have people worshiping personalities. Where did you go to Bible college? Oh, I went to such-and-such. I sat under so-and-so. And all of a sudden, that means you're somebody among who's who. I sat at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, sir. He's teaching me. I'm all for going and getting an education, scripturally or spiritually speaking, all that good stuff. But my point is, we're acting like Corinth. Oh, I'm of so-and-so. I'm of Paul. I'm of Apollos. That's carnal. It's worshiping men. Which tells me, if you've not matured in growth, you're a babe in Christ, you've not matured in grace, you're still walking like an unregenerated person, you're still worshiping men, your eyes are not on Christ, they're on ministers, then you know what? You've just simply not matured in God. You're just not allowing the Lord to have His way in your life. and you're not growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, according to 2 Peter 3, 17 and 18. You see, it's God's great desire to mature His babes in the faith. And these carnal believers in verse 1 were limited in their appetite. They couldn't handle the whole word. I can only handle the milk. They were limited in their, not only in their appetite, but in their ability. Verse 2, babes can't carry much weight, can they? Babes can't bear burdens. Take this the right way. They are burdens. They're blessings, but they're blessed burdens. They have to be carried. They have to be fed. They have to be diapered. They have to be changed. You understand what I'm saying. They're not a burden that you don't want to bear, but they require everything. And if you require your preacher to do everything for you, you are a babe in Christ. You need to be able to stand on your own two feet according to God, His goodness, His grace, and His power in your life, okay? Not living on the faith of your preacher or your mama, your daddy, your grandma, your grandpa, your whoever. You need to live on the faith by the faith of the Son of God. But they were limited in their affection. Verse 3, they didn't have true love. They didn't have true humility. They weren't serving one another. They were what? Envious, striving, divided, carnal people. But then they were also limited in their allegiance. Christ did not have the preeminence in Corinth. Half the crowd was for Paul. The other half was for Apollos. But where in the world does Jesus Christ rank among these believers? You see, they're carnal. Now then, the members of the church are not the only ones going to go up for review at the judgment seat of Christ. The ministers of Christ will also go up for review. So look at it, please. This is where I get the thought of every man's Lord presenting us with accountability. Verse 5, who then is Paul? And who is Apollos? Now remember who wrote this, right? The Spirit of God through who? Paul. Paul said, who's Paul? Okay. Who's Paul? I hope you get it. I'm saying it this way on purpose. That's the spirit of the text. Who then is Paul? And who is Apollos but ministers, by whom ye believe, notice, even as the Lord gave to every man? In other words, he said, we're nothing but ministers. We serve the same God with the same graces, but with different gifts. I don't preach like Mr. Joe Smith down here. I don't preach like Mr. Bob Smith over here. Okay, who's Joe? Who's Bob? Who is Ben? Nobody but ministers. What it really shows to me is the servitude of the minister. The minister is insignificant. The significance lies with the faith which he proclaims, with the word which he preaches, with the Lord which he serves. It was the Lord who gave them the minister of Paul. It was the Lord who gave them the ministry of Apollos. It was God who gave these men as gifts to the church. And therefore, what we see, is that ministers, literally, when you study the text, study the word, the word minister means that Paul and Apollos were nothing but errand boys for the king. They were like the waiter who waits on tables, who fills glasses, who picks up your dirty napkin when you've wiped your mouth on it. Understand what I'm telling you? We like to glorify our ministers in some circles. Paul said, we're just servants. We're just messengers. We're just errand boys. We're really insignificant when we consider our Lord, and when we consider the faith, and when we consider the judgment seat. We too will answer. So from pulpit to pew, from minister to member, all will stand before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ. Now, every man's Lord, accountability. Every man's labor, this is opportunity. Verse 6, please. We see in 6, 7, and 8, number 1, that we are laboring through grace. Verse 6, I have planted. This is Paul. I have planted, Apollos watered, but God. Get it in your head. I have planted, Apollos watered, but God. I have planted, Apollos watered, but God. I hope you're getting it. I have preached, you have witnessed, but God. I have given, you have given, but God. It is a work of grace because it is the work of God. If I do the work, it will come to nothing. But if He does the work, it will last. I can preach, and quote-unquote, you can be stirred, your heart can be touched, this, that, or the other, but you'll leave here, go home, and be none the different. But if the Spirit of God lays His finger on your heart, pricks your heart, and exposes your sin, takes the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, drives it in deep, divides between soul and spirit, and discerns the thoughts and intents of your heart, then God will do an eternal work. so that Paul would say, I have watered, I have planted rather, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. In other words, one plants, one waters, but God gives life. Put the seed in the ground, water it when you get home, but you can't do anything for it besides planting and watering. God has to make it live. Even so, spiritually speaking, we plant, we sow, we water, but God is the one who begets life. And so, God must give the increase. He is the Lord of the harvest, Matthew 9. And the power of God to save the sinner and sanctify the saint is in our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 2, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Not only is the work of God, God gave the increase, but the wage, the wage is of God. Verse 7, so then, Excuse me, verse 7, let me finish this. So then neither is he that planted anything, neither he that watereth, here it is again, but God. I'm nothing, you're nothing, but God. Neither is he that planteth, nor he that watereth, we're nothing, but God. Get that. We are nothing without Him, but God. God. God gives the increase. Twice, reread it. The wage now, in verse 8, is of God. Now, he that planteth, he that watereth are one. Okay, you planted the seed. Great. I came behind you and watered it. Guess what? It's one work. Which is greater, the planter or the waterer? Neither is greater. He that planteth, he that watereth are one. And notice, though, and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor." There's our text, our thought. Every man's labor. This is opportunity. So the labor, every man will what? Receive his own reward. There's the wage for the labor. I remind you, according to Hebrews 12, let us have grace. whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly affair." That's Hebrews 12, 28 and 29. All of our service that will be rewarded with crowns in this day I'm speaking of is only by the grace of God. And so, we will receive our own reward according to our own labor, but it was really only and always God working in us and through us. But then one day, He's going to reward you and I as if we were the ones that did it. There is grace, folks. Grace is my story all the way from earth to glory, whether it be my salvation, my sanctification, my service, all of grace, all of grace. So we're laboring through grace, but then we're laboring with God. Verse 9, for we, the ones planting, the ones watering, the apostles and his team, Ye, now the church in particular. Ye are God's husbandry. Ye are God's building. Two word pictures there. The husbandry, the vine dresser, the gardener, the planter. The church of the living God is a product of God's own hand. He cultivates it. We are God's husbandry. But then that word building is a construction term. I've been around it a little bit myself. And an architect, a designer, a builder, you know what he has to do? He has to be able to see the finished product when there's nothing but dirt there. So it's a product of God's own heart. He can see it, the finished product, in the beginning, such as the church. From eternity past, God saw that His Son would die, and He saw His Son would be rejected, and He saw the church would be in history, the history of humanity. So, every man's labor. There's the human element, we are laborers together with God. There's the divine element, ye are God's husbandry. God's working, God's cultivating, God's constructing, God's building. God is tending now. Every man's Lord, accountability. Every man's labor, opportunity. Now, verses 10 through 15, every man's life. And this is responsibility. You are responsible. for your life before God. As much as I would love to, I'd love to get saved for my children. But you have to make that choice for yourselves, children. As much as I'd love to sanctify you all more than you are and sanctify myself more than I am, okay, get what I'm saying, you're gonna answer for your own sanctification. What you've done with what God has given you. You will be held responsible for your life. We all have how many hours in the day? 24. How many minutes in the hour? 60. How many seconds on the minute? 60. Some of us sleep four hours a night. Some of us sleep eight hours a night. Some of us may sleep more than that. I don't know how you could, but maybe you do. I can never get more than about six and a half hours, at the most seven if I'm exhausted, and I wake up sore on this side or the other, or this is numb, or that's numb, and I'm only 40. The point is, we all have the same amount of time in a given second, minute, hour, day. Now, we don't all have the same amount of time over our life. I'm 40. You may be 20. You may be 60. You may be 80. You may not want to tell what you are. Amen? But we don't know when our life is over. So make it count. Make it count. But in this section, I want you to think about this. Number one, the grace of God. Number two, the foundation of Christ. Number three, the work of man. Number four, the day of judgment. So in verse 10, concerning every man's life for which he is accountable or responsible, this is responsibility. Of course, that is so close and similar to accountability. But look at it in verse 10. According to the grace of God. Paul says, which is given unto me. As a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation and another buildeth thereupon. And that's what the Lord's let us do here. We've laid foundational truths for you to build on. So I'm encouraging you right now. God has put a foundation under you if you didn't have it already for the time that we've been here. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to build on it? And the grace of God is that the foundation has been laid, the building proceeds, the church of the living God is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Ephesians 2, 19-22. But what does grace teach me? To take heed. Look at what he says. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. So here we go. Pour your footers, build up your foundation walls, do a solid concrete pour. Solid poured walls with reinforcing bar, steel bar. And then build on it, you know, with popsicle sticks. Let me know how that goes. It won't bear up any weight. Foundation could handle it, but take heed how you build on it. Now, the grace of God leads us to see the foundation of Christ in verse 11. What foundation is it that's been laid? Well, here it is. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. He's the foundation. There is no other foundation. If any man ever gives you any other thing, a 4-step plan, a 5-step plan, a 12-step plan, a 1, 2, 3, whatever you want to call it, and says, build your life on this, that man is a charlatan. Jesus Christ is the one and only foundation upon which your life is to be built and upon which your eternity is to be staked. Any other foundation will crumble. in the day of judgment. And obviously, you wouldn't be at this judgment if Jesus Christ is not your foundation. Now then, the foundation of Christ, it will stand throughout time and eternity. It will stand fast and firm. It's the one foundation that meets God's requirements. Inspectors inspect foundations, okay? They gotta meet and pass codes and requirements, regulations and laws. They have to be enforced. And the enforcer, the inspector's God Almighty. He's the builder. He's the inspector. And the one code that He's looking for you to meet is what did they do with Jesus Christ? Are they standing on the right, yea, the one foundation? For other foundation can no man lay. Number three, the work of man. This is where I get every man's life. Because He says in verse 13, every man's work. He says in verse 14, if any man's work. Twice, rather, in verse 13, every man's work. Every man's work. 14, if any man's work. 15, if any man's work. So the word life, because that's what he's talking about, your life, your work in this life. The work of man. Notice in verse 12, if any man build. That word any man means that we all have the same opportunity. If you're born again, where are we all standing? On the same foundation. What are we all holding? It ought to be a King James Bible and therefore it would be the same book. Amen? Therefore, we all have the same opportunity for growth. We've all been saved by the same grace, bought with the same blood, endowed by the same Holy Spirit. Come on now, is that not right? It is. So we all have the same opportunity. So don't point fingers at this one or that one and say this or that. No, no, we all from this point forward, if you're born again, you have the same as what I have and I have the same as what you have. We're going to be without excuse in the day of judgment is what I'm trying to say. Every or if any man build. So I can build, you can build. But it's up to me if I start swinging the hammer. God's laid the hammer and the nails, but if I don't pick them up and go to build and start cooperating with Him, you understand, it's all the work of grace. But as I've already told you, you're going to have to cooperate with Him. God won't make you pick up your Bible in the morning. Will He? He might put you flat on your back so you do pick up your Bible tomorrow morning. But you understand what I'm saying? You're going to have to pick it up and open it and read it. I'm going to, and I'm not being a smart aleck, I just like to preach where people live, because I find it's the only thing that's what we really need, you know. These flowery sermons that never preach on sin or anything else are doing nobody any good. And so, nobody is going to make you pray. You're going to have to do that yourself. Nobody is going to make you hand out tracts and be a witness. Nobody is going to make you live right, dress right, walk right, talk right, think right, be right. Nobody. I understand I talked about chastisement earlier. And God can make you, but just cooperate so He doesn't have to. If any man build, so we can all build, he says, upon this foundation, notice now, here's the take heed how you build thereon. What are you gonna build with, gold, silver, precious stones? Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Or are you gonna build with wood, hay, and stubble? Now your life is going for the fire. Would you rather be built out of gold, silver, and precious stones, or wood, hay, and stubble if you're gonna face fire? I think I'll go with gold, silver, and precious stones. Verse 13, every man's work shall be made manifest. I've got to hurry. I told you I wouldn't be long. So let me move along. Every man's work. We have the same opportunity. If any man build, we have the same accountability. Every man, every man, every man, we're all going to stand. Every man's work shall be made manifest. This moves us into what I'm going to call the day of judgment. Every man's work shall be made manifest for the day shall declare it. So the day of judgment number one is a day of revelation. Your work, my work will be made manifest. It will be revealed. The curtains will be pulled back. The light will be shining on it. It will be revealed. There's going to be a declaration, which means it will be made plain by words. There's going to be a revelation, which means it's going to be uncovered. There will be an examination, which means it will be tested by fire. Why? Notice, look at the verse again, 13. For the day shall declare it, be made plain by words, because it shall be revealed, undisclosed and uncovered. By what? Fire. And the fire shall try. There's the examination. Every man's work of what? Sort. It is. You say, preacher, I can't give a whole lot. Well, that's fine. Just give cheerfully. Give as much as you can, sacrificially and cheerfully at all times. God's not saying what size, but what sort it is. A day of revelation, a day of recompense. Verse 14, if any man's work abide, which he had built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If your gold, if your life, your work's life, your life's work was built out of gold, silver, and precious stones, it will abide the fire. It will be tested, purified, abide the fire. And you know what he said? You shall receive a reward. that crown that Paul was talking about, be set on your head to one day cast down before His feet when you sing the song, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power. Amen? The crown, the reward. But then he says, so the fire will refine the work of some. There's reward. But verse 15, the fire will reduce the work of some. He said, if any man's work shall be burned, Well, whose work is going to be burned? The wood, the hay, the stubble. I don't have time to deal with all of that, but I'll put it to you like this. What do we build with down here? 2x4s, 2x6s, wood, nails, you know. We have stucco, we have adobe homes in Mexico. What do we build with? Wood, hay, stubble. Go to Africa, there's still stubble. That's what we build with. What does God do? Well, He paved the street of that holy city with gold, transparent as glass. The gates are all made of that what? Several gates of one pearl. Precious stones, 12 manor, a fruit on the tree of life, extends on either side of the river of life. We talked about the emerald rainbow around His throne, and one whose appearance was like a jasper stone and a sardine stone. Sounds like a lot of gold, silver, and precious stones to me. Well, God paved the street in heaven with gold, and only a fancy few can afford that today. We have to build with wood, hay, and stubble, but spiritually speaking, you can choose either man's building materials or God's. So in other words, if you'll just do things God's way and quit worrying about everything that man's gonna say about you, then you'll be building with gold, silver, and precious stones. But too many believers are gonna leave the judgment seat of Christ a pauper with nothing to lay at his feet because they're so concerned with what the world has to say about them. that they sacrifice everything Christ gives them to get along with this old world, whether it be friend, family, or foe. And in that day, you will regret that. I will regret that if that's me. And you know what will happen? We will suffer loss. The fire refines the work of some. The fire reduces the work of some. And then He says this, "...but he himself shall be saved." Yet, so as by fire. It's going to be a day of recognition. Some will be recognized as being rewarded. Some will be recognized as being regretful. But thank God, even those who have no rewards are on the right, yea, the only foundation. And according to 1 Corinthians 4, I believe it's verse 5, in that day every man shall have the praise of God, even though they have no rewards. Why? Because they're in Christ. because of God's grace, because of the shed blood and the one foundation, which is Jesus Christ. And guess what? Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ It's Lord, to the glory of God the Father. His judgment is right. His verdict is just. His dispensing of rewards is faultless. Thank God for grace. Amen? So, I don't tell it to you like that to let you off the hook. Don't leave the judgment seat a pauper. Go into the kingdom with a place of reigning with Christ, with rewards to throw down at His feet. I gave it to you earlier, but John spoke of abiding in Christ in order to have confidence that it's coming. 1 John 2.28. John spoke of boldness in the day of judgment. 1 John 4.17. Loving God, loving others will make a difference and give you boldness in the day of judgment. Paul wanted to rejoice in that day, Philippians 2.16. Paul wanted to be rewarded in that day, 1 Thessalonians 2.19-20. Jesus spoke of His Word judging in this last day, John 12.48. Yea, every eye of words shall be brought into judgment. What are you wanting in that day? I want rewards. I do. I do. I do. What are you living for today? Are you? Am I? Are we living for the Lord? We should be and we could be if we just yield our lives to Him. Father, thank You for the day. Please seal the truth, speak the hearts in Jesus' name. Amen. We want to thank you for listening today.
