He's everything to me, He's the fairest of ten thousand to my
soul. The lily of the valley, hidden

to know. He's the lily of the valley,
the bright and morning star. He's the parasol ten thousand
to my soul. He all my griefs has taken, and
all my sorrows borne. And temptation eats my strong
and mighty tongue I have fought for and forsaken And all my idols
torn From my heart and now He keeps me by His power Though
all the world forsake me And Satan till me sore Through Jesus
I shall safely reach the goal He's the lily of the valley,
the bright and morning star. He's the fairest of ten thousand
to my soul. He will never, never leave me,
nor yet forsake me here. But I'll lend my faith and do
His blessed will. I'll walk the path without fear,
I've nothing now to fear. With this man of Thee, my hungry
soul shall fill. In sleeping eyes before me, to
see His blessed face, where the rivers of delight shall ever
roll. He's the lily of the valley,
the bright and morning star. He's the pharisee of 10,000 My eyes have seen the glory of
the coming of the Lord. He is trampling out the vintage
when the grapes of wrath are stored. He enlists the faithful
binding of his terrible swift sword. His truth is marching
on. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Our God is marching on. I have seen Him in the watch-fires
of a hundred circling camps. They have built an ammenal altar
in the evening dews and damps. I can read His righteous sentence
by the dim and flaring lamps. His day is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Our God is marching on. He has sounded forth the trumpet
that shall never sound retreat. He is sifting out the hearts
of men before his judgment seat. I will be swift, my soul, to
answer him, be jubilant my feet. I've gone and is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, glory, hallelujah! Our God is marching on! In the beauty of the lilies,
Christ was born across the sea, with the glory in his bosom that
transfigures you and me. As he died to make men holy,
let us die to make men free. Our God is marching on! Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Glory, glory, hallelujah. Our God is marching on. There's a holy and beautiful

sometimes I'm not sure. I keep pressing on But think

heart. can't feel my deepest woe. In each sorrow there's a part
that none can bear below. Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus. Amazing grace, how sweet the
sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now
I'm found. Was blind, but now I see. Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, have I loved Jesus? Oh, have I loved Jesus? Because he first loved me. Amen. Amen. Thank the Lord for the
good singing. Thank the Lord for the good time
of fellowship we've already had. Now we've come to the part where
the Word of God is about to be opened up. The Word of God being the very
breath of Almighty as it is penned upon paper. And I pray tonight

to see you. We're so thankful for your time and worship. Lord,
would you pray for each and every one of us here tonight? the wisdom and understanding
we need to draw closer to you. We pray that in the presence
of the Lord that you may be lost. We pray that you open our eyes
to the eternal need of salvation. We pray that you save our souls. We pray for Brother Cuybers.
We pray that you give him the remembrance of his studies. We
pray that you give him the clearness of mind and the ability to speak. We pray that you just bless him. Amen. Thank you, my precious
pastor. Appreciate you very much. Well, I would say again, it's
so much honor, such a great honor to be again with you. I feel
humbled and worthless But I thank God that
he is gracious. So I thought tonight, mine went
back to almost 50 years ago when I met Brother Dan Stepp. And
I don't know, I won't say how long it's been since Sister Rule
and I met, but it's been a while. And so anyway. And many of you,
it is our first time. And I'm honored by that. I thank
God for your kindnesses, your friendship, and all that you've
shown me with your great smile, wonderful singing, and everything
that has gone into the time that God's been blessed to spend with
the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. And I pray that he may
help us again tonight and use us as only he can. For I promise
you, if there's anyone in this world that knows this to be a
fact, Without Him, I can do nothing. So do pray. I know that's true. John chapter 4, Gospel of John
chapter number 4. I read beginning in verse 1,
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that
Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, Though Jesus
himself baptized not, but his disciples, he left Judea and
departed into Galilee. And he must needs go through
Samaria. That was not the most direct
route. And it was not a section that
any Jew would really want to go to and spend time in. Because
there was an alienation that existed between the Samaritans
and the Orthodox Jews, especially the two tribes of the South,
Judah and Benjamin. But these Samaritans were among
those that followed Jeroboam at the splitting of the kingdom
after Solomon's death. And he had raised the golden
calf as a place of worship in the upper country of Dan, northern
Israel, and then another about a little north of Jerusalem,
probably 30 miles or so, to make it more convenient a religion.
And then the Assyrians, or who we know as Syria today, came
down and swept over those ten tribes. And they became what
is often referred to as the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. We, nor
they, do not know what their ancestry is because it became
so mixed with Gentiles that there was this enmity that existed
between the majority and especially of the scribes and Pharisees
and the religious sects of Orthodox Jews. They wanted nothing to
do with the inhabitants of Samaria or even other parts of Israel
during those days. But, Jesus knew that it was the
will of His Father Because he must, I want you to remember
that four letter word, it has nothing to do with sermon, go
through Samaria. It was not accidental, not coincidental,
it was an absolute must, go through Samaria. And then he comes to
a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar. near to the parcel of
ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob's will
was there. Now I'm not going to deal with
this, but I wish you would note how meticulous our God is in
specifying how he must be in this Samaritan country how He
must be in this parcel of land, how He must be in the city or
outskirts of the city of Sychar, and why He must be at this particular
well. And God even named it before
the world began, for God's Word is settled how long? Forever
in heaven. It did not come into existence
when God inspired the holy men to ride as they were moved by
the Holy Spirit. It is as eternal as God is. And it is everlasting as God
is. So these things were precisely
set and ordained of Almighty God. And Jesus who always did
that which was the Father's will was there because it was the
Father's will that He be there. This is laid out Jacob's whale
was there and being reared with his journey. Isn't it amazing
how he got tired just at the time that there happened to be
a whale right there? He could kind of have a little place to
sit down on some rocks and not have to just sit down in the
sand and desert. Being reared with his journey
set us on the whale and it was about the sixth hour. The end
of the second daily watch. There cometh a woman of Samaria
to draw water. Jesus saith unto her, Give me
to drink. For his disciples were gone away
into the city to buy meat or food. Then saith the woman of
Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink
of me, which am a woman, number one, second, of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings
with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto
her, If thou knewest the gift of God, you hear tonight and
do not know the cleansing power of sin by the precious blood
of Jesus Christ. That faith to know that to trust
that is the gift of God. And that's what he's talking
about right here. If thou knowest. If you're here tonight and don't
know that, you really need to listen to this story. Because
it tells of the salvation of a Samaritan woman who was an
outcast for many reasons, but she was one that Jesus loved
and he was going through Samaria or whatever to see her, meet
her, and share with her the glorious good news that Jesus saves. And who it is, he's saying here,
if you knew what the gift of God is, if you knew who is speaking
to you, if you knew who I am, and who it is that saith to thee,
give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would
have given thee living water. And how many believe that? I
know it's written, but I mean how many believe that? There's
such a thing as a theological belief, and there's another thing
called experimental belief. And that's what we really need,
is something that we live. Not what we learn if we don't
live it. Let our walk match our talk. and be the kind of an individual
that really knows and trusts and believes that Jesus Christ
is able to save to the uttermost, no matter who they are, no matter
what they've done. Here is a woman that has been
married seven times. Now, we'd kind of look down on
somebody like that, wouldn't we? And I don't believe all those
husbands had died. And based on what we learn about
her here, we soon see that she was living with a man that she
wasn't married to. Well, I'm telling you, this is
one of the offshoring of the earth, that we wouldn't even
go to a place like that or a person like that. Defile our garments? What in the world are you talking
about? We don't want to go where sinners are. That's what we've
become. The woman said unto him, Sir,
thou hast nothing to draw water, and the well is deep. From whence
then hast thou that living water? She did not understand. And do
you know why? Because she had never experienced
a new birth, never known what it was to be able to understand
the things of God. Never to understand that it doesn't
matter what I have done, how many times I have done it, how
guilty I am, how deep in sin I've been, nor how few sins I
think I've committed. It doesn't take a boatload to
condemn you to hell. How many did Adam and Eve sin? How many did they transgress?
Just one. The only law gave them was the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which is in the center
of the garden of Eden, thou shalt not eat. And then do you know
what he told them then? He said, I know you're going
to. You say, no, it doesn't say that. Well, he said, for in the
day that thou eatest thereof. He told them right then, there's
going to be a day when you're going to eat of it. I know you will.
Thou shalt surely die. And I believe that they did die
that day, that second. that they sinned against the
holy God who created them and gave them everything, inclusive
of the utopia that they were in, having provided them with
the best of everything. But the lust of the eyes, the
pride of the flesh, and the lust of the pride of life got a hold
of them, and they decided, that's better than what we got. and they sinned. And as a result,
spiritual death fell upon Adam and Eve. And every descendant
of the seed of Adam that has ever made a footprint on the
face of this earth or ever shall put a footprint on the face of
this earth or has been conceived and aborted or miscarried or
whatever else, every one, bears that same spiritual death in
them that Adam and Eve received the moment that they disobeyed
God. Now if you're here today and
don't know Jesus Christ, that's where you're at. You say, I don't
understand that preacher. I know you don't. We're not called
upon to understand when God saves us. I don't believe we need to
have a theologian who can quote all of the doctrines and line
everything up and then save. Matter of fact, I don't think
you can understand the things of the Spirit of God, until God
has saved your soul, because they are foolishness unto you,
and you cannot discern them or understand them. Sir, why, you just give me this,
living water. Whence hast thou that living
water? Out there greater than our father
Jacob. Now you see this? You know who Jacob was, right? He's Israel. is the father of
the beginning of what became his twelve sons, the nation of
Israel, the twelve tribes of Israel. She's the descendant.
She calls him, my father, here. Our father, Jacob, which giveth
this well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and
his cattle, Jesus answered and said unto them, Whosoever drinketh
of this water shall thirst again. And I know that's true. You do
too, don't you? Get you a drink of water before
you go to bed tonight, and then don't drink any more for next
month. See how you get along. You just
got to come back and come back and come back. Because that's
physical things. And that's what she was thinking.
That's what she came for. And that's where her mind was
centered around. Whosoever drinketh first fourteen,
but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give them
shall never thirst, But the water that I shall give him shall be
in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life. And that's the only kind I want.
I don't want some kind of salvation that I can get rid of tomorrow
just because I didn't do exactly everything right. I like the
one God gives, eternal life. And that's the only kind God
gives because that's the only kind He's got. He is the eternal
God. He can't give anything besides
eternal life, because that's the only life He has. The woman said unto him, Sir,
give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
She still did not understand. Listen to Jesus. She didn't understand. Here's this water. She saith unto her, Go, call
thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said unto
her, I have no husband. And Jesus said unto her, Thou
hast said well, you've told the truth. I have no husband, for
thou hast had five. I said seven, but sorry, that's
five. And he whom thou now hast, now
the one man that you're now living with, is not your husband. In that saidst thou truly. The woman saith unto him, Sir,
I perceive the tower of the prophet. Now she still sees him as a man.
Our Father worshipped in this mountain, and ye say that in
Jerusalem is the place where ye men ought to worship. Jesus
saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall
neither in this mountain nor yet in Jerusalem worship the
Father. You worship ye know not what. We know what we worship,
for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now
is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit
and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him."
Has he stopped here tonight? Or is your mind embedded, concentrated,
set, and is settled on spiritual things? on the things we've got. You got rabbits running through
your mind. What's going to happen? Wonder what's going on right
now. Tell you why. You know what? You can't change
a thing. So don't worry about it. I'm telling you, it really won't
make much difference now. If I'm wrong about that, you
look me up in a thousand years and tell me and I'll apologize.
But compared to the spiritual matters that we deal with and
have come together for tonight, the whole state of Kentucky,
the whole United States of America, means nothing compared to one
soul. So, let's be That individual,
that church, where Jesus finds people who worship Him in spirit
and in truth. Verse 24, God is a spirit and
they that worship Him, here's that same four letter word again,
I'd like the little words of God's Word. Must. Does not say it would be good.
Does not say better. Doesn't even say best. He said,
this is a must. You can't worship God any other
way. You can't worship God through
heresy. You can't worship God without
the power of the Spirit. It can't be done. Then the woman saith unto him,
I know that Messiah is coming. Now listen to that. What did
she say? I know God's made a lot of promises
in the Old Testament and there was a lot of pictures and there
was a lot of things that showed and foreshadowed that there would
be one coming who would save. She's beginning to begin to think
the right way. And if you're here and don't
know Jesus Christ tonight, think this way. God promised. that He would send one who could
save you from your sins by becoming like you, yet without any sin
of His own. When He has come, which is called
Christ, when He has come, He will tell
us all things. That's another key phrase here.
Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. Now do you believe Jesus lied? It's just a simple question.
He said, I am that promised Messiah. I am that Christ. I am the fulfillment
of every prophecy, every type, every shadow, everything that
you did that pointed to God's promise. Say, I'm Him. Now do you believe the Word of
God is true? That's what it says. Read it. Verse 26, I that speak
unto thee am Him. Am He. And upon this came His
disciples and marveled that He talked with the woman, yet no
man saith what seeketh thou or might talkest thou with her.
And now I've just got my text and I'm not going to be able
to preach it. Then the woman then left her water pot and went
her way into the city, and saith unto the men, Come, see a man
which told me all things that ever I did. I do not know if you believe
this. I really don't know if you know this, but everything
that I, you, or any other being in the totality of God's creation. He knows everything about us. He knows everything we've done. He knows every word we've said.
Now, wait a minute. He knows every thought that has
ever crossed our mind. Think about that. That high and
holy One who setteth upon the throne in heaven knows you and
me and every thought that's ever been in your mind. Everything
that you've ever done. Every word you've ever said.
He knows it. Come see a man which told me
all things that ever I did. Is not this the Christ? Now this woman has had some kind
of change about her, hasn't she? When she got there, she says,
I don't even know. All I want to do is if you've
got some kind of water that's magical enough to keep me from
ever thirsting again, I sure am tired of coming here to draw
water. If you'll just bring me some of that water, I'll drink
it. Well, the water that Jesus spoke of
was himself, the water of life. the water of salvation, the water
of eternal blessings and joy and happiness on this earth and
on another. I want to just get right on into
it now. There is an engrossing nature
of this conversion. To meet Christ will cause ordinary
events to shrink into insignificance This woman came to the well of
Jacob simply to draw a water bucket of water. That's all she
came for. But what happened? She met the promised Messiah. She met the Savior. Maybe tonight
you came and you had some purpose in mind besides that. But maybe
God has opened your mind to let you know, hey, I know you. I know what you've done. Nobody
knows. You think it was secret. I hid
it. But you can't hide it from me. That's what God says. You better take that to heart
because you're going to face Him. Just as sure as you're who
you are and I'm who I am, you're going to face God. You better
be prepared. There is an ordinary event that
calls extraordinary and made that which with man is impossible
to be possible through the omnipotence of God. Omnipotence just means
all the power. It's all it means. Big ol' words
just simply means God's got all the power. Everything in the
world is His. God's as long as it's His. And
He has said that there is salvation in no name given under heaven
except in the name Jesus Christ. And do you know why? Because
He is God who became man. and took upon Him the likeness
of our flesh, as I said before, without committing any sin, He
lived here. And He obeyed every jot and tittle
of the ceremonial and of the civil and of the commandment
law of God. He never, never failed, but He
did always that which pleased His Father. That's all He did.
So He could say, I am that promised Messiah. I am that promised Savior. I am the Christ. This woman,
what I want you to see more than anything else, verse 28, she
left her water pot. Now that's really the message.
Because there's a message in leaving that water pot at the
well. in the person of his son Jesus
Christ, had met with her, spoke with her, revealed the knowledge
of her sin by causing her to know that he
knew her life and what she'd done. And he tells her there's
a remedy and a hope for that. Now, one of the Identifying distinctives
of the Christ and the Messiah was that he would know everything.
He would know you. He would know everything about
you. And this woman knew who he was because of what he said
and told of her life. He wasn't a fortune teller. He
wasn't reading cards or palms or Ouija boards. Substance foolishness
is that that's all seeing all the devil and Christian all not
to be as far He's all be as far away as that as the buzzer did
for my ice cream cone Shouldn't have anything do it But God he was God he knew he
wasn't guessing he knew And we're whoever you are whatever you
think he knows you tonight just like he knows me He knows everything
we ever did The woman left her water pot because the things
of this world suddenly became dim and inconsequential. I said, wait a minute, what did
you come here for? Well, I got more than I come
for. I come for just a little water that would help me for
a little while, then I have to do it again, then I have to do
it again, then I have to do it again. was one of those that lasted
me all my life on earth and all the way through eternity that
will never cease producing, listen to me, living waters that flow
out of us as God's children. I in particular tonight noticed
the sign up at the some road we turned in and it said, What is it, men? Missionary Baptist
Church. I even looked on the front of
the building when we came in. You know what it says? Emmanuel
Missionary Baptist Church. This woman was a missionary. You say, I don't like that. Well,
it's the truth. She went and spread the gospel
of Jesus Christ. She went to the men of the city.
I expect that even the women of Samaria would have nothing
to do with her. Five husbands are now shacking
up with somebody else, another man. She can't imagine how those
self-righteous people would look on her, and especially the women. They would want their husbands
to get within a quarter of a mile of her. But Jesus knew what she was before
she came and he didn't shun her. I want you to think about this.
The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a friend of publicans and
sinners. The Lord Jesus Christ came to
call the sinners. right unto repentance, not those
who are self-righteous. God has never saved anything
but a sinner. And if you tonight do not know
how guilty you really are before God because He knows you, then you just are not saved.
And that's the message this woman took to the man. You read it.
I'm not going to read all of it. You go on down. And you find
out, she said, I think she just completely forgot why she came. Think about this. Just think
about this. Think back for just a moment to when God saved your
soul. Can you remember that event? What did you do the next day? Well, I can only answer for myself.
You know what I did? I had a grandfather, the only
one I ever knew. He was the only grandparent I
ever really knew. Every time we went to their home,
which wasn't much, but every time we went to his home, he
was sitting either in the house or on the front porch reading
the Bible. Every time I went. Never saw him without that. Till we got there at least. And
he would talk to me. And tell me things kind of like
I'm trying to tell you tonight. But I didn't understand a thing
about it. And I know that godly man prayed for me. The night God saved my soul, the next morning, oh yeah, I
had to go to work. But I had something more important
to do than go to work. I had to go tell about the boy
and say what had happened to me. Was she like that? Did you want to go tell what
Jesus had done? Then I went down there and my granddad, that time
he was out in the field out there just plowing. He was up in his
eighties then and he was out there just working in the field. I went out to him and I said,
Grandpa, something's happened to me. And he just stopped and
looked at me and just started crying. Yeah. I said, no, it's not bad. He
said, I know it. It's so good that it's breaking
my heart. He said, that don't sound right.
How can it be? Because he prayed that that moment
would come. And I had to tell him, I had
the honor of telling him, God saved my soul last night. And
I'm going to heaven. And I was as dumb about everything
else in God's Word as any person could possibly be. A truth. The first time that, to my knowledge,
the first time I ever set foot in any type of a religious assembly
was at my own father's funeral. I don't think I went back again
until after I was married. Judy was saved. No, she shouldn't
have married me. But I sure am glad she did. Because
she just badgered me to pieces. Wanting to go to church. That's
all I ever, that seemed like that's all I heard from her.
Why don't we go to church, son? Well, we'll see. And then lo and behold, here's
the worst thing. Imagine somebody saving someone at the job I was
working at, my closest friend. God saved him. a little old place
called Community Baptist Church in Louisville, North Carolina,
and shoot it. As soon as I come into work,
he started in on me. Come to church with me. I go
home from where I did it. Why don't we go to church? I
said, phew, wait. Oh, I can't go home. I can't
go to work. Now I'm being aggravated. Maybe I'll just go to church
and it'll be easier and at least put in an hour and I won't have
to eat it the rest of the week. That's the truth. That's how
I felt. Out of reasoning and logically. Maybe some of you
young people here are saying, well, I'm not here because I
want to be. I wasn't either. God's Word says that we were
found of them who sought Him not, by him who sought Him not. You don't have to be looking
for God. This woman wasn't either. She'd come and get a bottle of
water. But God gave her more. I went
to church, and I found out, you know, them folks wasn't so awfully
bad after all. So I said, well, that's okay.
If you want to go, we'll go. And we started going. I was saved in this. Every head valve, every eye closed.
Nobody looking around now. If you're out there and lost,
if you just lift that hand up, I'm not going to embarrass you.
I preached this, as a matter of fact, before I learned anything
about the truth. All I want to do is pray for
you. And I heard that for about two
months. I don't know exactly, but around
two months. And then finally that pastor says, well, I've
done everything I know how to do. I'm just going to open the
doors of the church. If any of you want to join, come on up
here and we'll receive his members into this church. So I looked
over at Judy and I said, well, honey, would you like to join?
She said, yeah. I said, OK, let's go. Now, I
was just as lost as I'd ever been. He talked to her. Are you saved?
Yes. Were you baptized? Yes. OK, we'll
receive you. He turned to me and he said,
are you saved? I said, man, for two months plus you've been asking
that question every time I come in the door. And before I could
leave, I raised my hand every time. If you don't know I'm lost,
you're blind. That's what I thought. And then
he asked me a question. Do you want to be saved? Do you
know what? I didn't know what he meant.
That's the truth before God. I did not know what saved meant. I didn't know what washed in
the blood meant. All I'd ever washed in was water. I didn't know anything about
that." And he says, well, now watch this. He said, well, obviously
you do or you wouldn't be up here. Yeah. He said, kneel down here
with me and repeat the things that I say. And he opened his
Bible right there, and in front of him, he read, you know, Romans
3, or all of sin come short of the glory of God, you know, and
get on over where the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And you get
over here, you know, whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved, and whosoever professeth Him with his mouth,
you know, and he went through all of that with me. He said,
now do you believe that? I mean, it's right there in the
Bible. I never doubted whether the Bible was true. I just didn't
know it existed. So I said, yeah, I believe that.
I believed that just like I believed George Washington was the president
of the United States because I read the book. That Bible meant
no more to me than the history book. Now that man meant well,
but he stood up and he told me, you're saved. And I said, thank
you. I mean it, I did. Because as
far as I was concerned, he had saved me. He told me I was saved. But you know what I was? Lost. Lost. But there come another
time in that same building. And they did a whole lot of singing
at the end of it and a whole lot of begging and a whole lot
of sad stories and a whole lot of crying and all this kind of
stuff. But there come a night when I was sitting back there
I would have been in the seat behind Matthew's step. I would
have been further back, but the rest of them was already taken.
You know, at Baptist Church, you're going to have to get your
heart to get back seat. I was sitting right there and
a man preached. Jesus Christ shed his blood because
he loved you. He loved a world of lost sinners. God did so much. Yeah, He knew
what they did. He knew every thought about them.
But He provided the perfect one to solve and settle their sin
problem. And He told me that Jesus shed
His blood. He had thorns on His head. His
back had been beaten till the bones were visible. That His
hands were nailed by spikes to a cross. His feet were nailed. There had been a spear thrust
in his side. And that blood that he shed,
because it was perfectly pure, sinless, had power that no other
blood could ever have. It had power to cleanse even
me. from my sin. You say, did you
understand that? Not exactly, but I believed it.
You know, God doesn't say, are you indoctrinated? He just said,
do you believe me? This woman went back and said,
come see a man that told me all that ever I did. I'm here tonight
to tell you that I want to bring you to a man that knows everything
you ever did. The empowering of the Holy Spirit
filled her, that's the second point, and the third one is the
emancipation of a lost sinner by a glorious Savior. That's
what happened to me. And I say that with all that
I see and the spirit that I feel, it's most of you tonight, but
probably not everyone, too many here, for everybody to know the
blood of Jesus Christ was just flowed out of his body to cover,
cleanse your sin. And that just simple faith, just
believing God's promise that he'll forgive you if you'll just
trust Jesus Christ. Turn from the sin. Hate it. Hore it. Stay away from it. Stay
away from it. You read through here, I hope
this may be the last time I'll ever be here, but I'm going to
do it anyway. If you happen to be one who thinks that the only
way anybody can be saved is by hearing the gospel from an ordained
Baptist preacher, I've got news for you. That woman weren't one. But if you read it, you'll find
out that there was many who believed on him because of her word. Her word. Listen to me for a little bit.
And Jesus had a church then too, by the way. He already called
his disciples. They were already with him. They
had just gone into the city to buy food. Don't you remember
reading that? Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Is that missionary a doctrine
or a practice? He said, well preacher, I'm a
woman. Guess what? This one was too. Well preacher,
I don't know what to say. She didn't either. You know what
she said? I'll just tell you what. He was able to tell me everything
I ever did. And is that not the Christ? You
don't have to know everything there is to know. Why don't you
just tell them what He did for you? to you, what change it brought. I would just ask you, individually,
are you truly missionary? In life and action, not just
in doctrine and in theology, but experimentally. We take the
name off the wall, off the sign, I don't want to hear about how
many missionaries you support. That's a good work. That's a
great work. And glory to God, keep doing it if you're doing
it and do what you can. But don't you think for one second
that God only expects you to send money to somewhere else
to do your job. That's a wonderful thing, but
it doesn't relieve us from our personal responsibility to do
what this woman did. The sad thing about this issue
is, when God saved me, I thought all I got to do is tell someone
about Jesus and all this plot, like blackbirds to a pie. But soon, reality knocked that
joy out of me. Let me tell you something. We
are not responsible for the results, just the sowing. That's it. Just the sowing. Somebody else
may come along and water, but only God can make it grow,
give an increase. Tonight, do you know the one
who knows everything about you? Isn't this not the Christ Jesus? Is this not Jesus? Oh, yes it
is. You can trust Him, my brother. You know one thing about the
church, that's a going church is, I mean that's one. One thing I want to always make
sure, is that we live in the work of the Holy Spirit and the
Holy Spirit. He's the one that does the saving.
He's like Mother Kyra said, all we're supposed to do That is the responsibility of
this church. Not just the pastor, but the
church. And I thank the Lord for reminding me of that. May the Lord continue to bless
this body. May the Lord continue to save
souls as He sees fit. And again, the salvation of the
soul is not up to the individual person. That's all in the hands
of the Lord. But salvation is teaching. Preaching
the glorious gospel is what the church was commissioned to do.
May the Lord indeed bless that. Brother, you tell them we're
having a closing hymn to thank God's blessing upon the message.
You know what, I tell you what, I love to hear the word of God
being brought forth in such a way that it makes a difference before
your eyes. And I thank you, my brother.
I hope it's all the same for us. Well, let's go to number
