The Beatitudes (The Blessings)

The "beatitudes" (blessings) are not matters of feeling, but matters of fact. Those who suffer all manner of disappointments in this lifetime can be viewed as "blessed" in their eternal position before God. Jesus reveals the difference between believers position in this life and possession in the next noting the manifold blessings that are ours.
